Hello adventurers, and welcome to the World of Azuria podcast. In this episode, we dive into the world of Azuria with chapter one of Aurora, the prequel novella for the Age of Azuria high fantasy series.
My name is Beth Ball, and I’m the author of the Age of Azuria high fantasy series, which we’ll be exploring in this podcast. In some episodes, we’ll dive into the high fantasy world of Azuria as I read chapters from the novels and stories. In others, we’ll uncover the lore behind Azuria and, I hope, answer your questions about the world, characters, and more.

Episode Summary
In Chapter One, Dorric Themear, an elven diplomat, arrives on the coast of Caldara at the beautiful Aurora estate. He’s not there long before a beautiful human woman captivates his attention—Dorric soon learns that the woman in question is Lady Emelyee Amastacia, to whom the Aurora estate belongs.
Even before he speaks with Emelyee, Dorric’s inner romantic gets the better of him—of course he would become immediately entranced by an already attached human woman. Her husband, especially to Dorric, seems cold, but the sparkling eyes of Emelyee soon restore the elf’s rapture with the beautiful estate.
The next morning, Dorric accompanies Emelyee and her dear friend Aurelia to a small house on the estate grounds, where his attachment, in true romantic fashion, intensifies.
