In celebration of the Hospitality Mavericks Podcast’s 100th episode, I’m excited to share with you today an interview I had with a true hero of mine – Chip Conley! He was Airbnb’s Head of Global Hospitality and Strategy for four years, and is currently their Strategic Advisor for Hospitality and Leadership. He also founded Joie de Vivre Hospitality, which created and managed over 50 boutique hotels. He is currently the Founder of Modern Elder Academy, a wisdom school dedicated to helping people navigate midlife. He’s also the author of five books and an international speaker.
In this candid conversation, we learn more about his time working closely with Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky, letting go of old identities, the future of co-living and navigating the world through our mid-life years – and lessons learnt from having died almost 9 times to date.
