Shownotes

Whernit Dirks’ life is proof that your circumstances do not have to define your life path. Not too long ago this award-winning farmer was a fourth generation labourer on a farm in Piketberg in South Africa. In this edition of Farmer’s Inside Track he talks about his remarkable transitioning from labourer to becoming the co-owner of Genadeshoop Boerdery. He was named emerging farmer of the year in the New Harvest of the Year competition in 2018 – a rare achievement for a man whose own business only started in 2009. The interviewers are Dawn Noemdoe and Ivor Price from Food For Mzansi.
