When you think of  WORD in the Bible what comes to mind for you?

Maybe it’s the written word of God?

Maybe it’s Jesus?

Or, maybe it’s the prompting and guiding of the Holy Spirit in your life?

Well, it’s all of those things.

When we look at WORD in the Bible it’s not limited to one idea or one definition, but it is 3 words (no pun intended) in one.

I think to best understand the meaning and the power behind the WORD in the bible, is we give it a name that helps us identify those 3 different meanings.

Let’s look at the Greek form of WORD in the Bible.

– This is how you create a multiple effect of God’s power in your life; Logos, Graphe, Rhema.

– B.I.B.L.E.

– John 1:1, “In the beginning was the WORD (LOGOS), and the  WORD (LOGOS) was with God, and the WORD (LOGOS)  was God.

– Romans 10:17 “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the WORD (RHEMA) of God.”
