Speaker:taking a hobby to the level of a legitimate business.

Speaker:to everyone else's journey.
Speaker:Thanks gift Bez kitty,
Speaker:this is exactly what we're trying to accomplish here.
Speaker:I so appreciate you recognizing it and giving us a review.
Speaker:Thank you so much and for those of you who also
Speaker:have the inclination to leave a rating and review first a
Speaker:sincere thank you and perhaps yours will be one that I
Speaker:select to highlight on the show.
Speaker:It's always fun to hear your name pop up unexpectedly.
Speaker:Let's talk a little bit about what we're doing today.
Speaker:I am so excited to share this with you.
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:I've talked to a lot of you one on one and
Speaker:I know that doing all the things we have to do
Speaker:in our creative business is a big contributor to overwhelm.
Speaker:And then overwhelm affects everything.
Speaker:How you show up each day,
Speaker:how you talk with customers and sadly how you feel about
Speaker:your business.
Speaker:Well, what if I told you that you don't need to
Speaker:do all these things specifically when it comes to marketing?
Speaker:It's true.
Speaker:You really only need to do the things that feel right
Speaker:for you.
Speaker:So you might be saying,
Speaker:well, how do I find that out?
Speaker:How do I know what's right for me?
Speaker:That's what we're going to be talking about today on the
Speaker:show Today.
Speaker:I have the pleasure and cannot wait to introduce you to
Speaker:Brit colo.
Speaker:Brenda's is the creator of the marketing personality type framework and
Speaker:the host of the marketing podcast.
Speaker:Her framework is designed to match you with your best marketing
Speaker:strategy based on your Myers Briggs personality type.
Speaker:Now, don't worry if you'd have never heard of Myers-Briggs before.
Speaker:We're going to get into that,
Speaker:but just understand that it's your own unique personality type.
Speaker:So Britta is here to shake up your approach to marketing
Speaker:and inspire you to grow your business in a feel good
Speaker:way. Oh,
Speaker:isn't that so refreshing?
Speaker:So get ready to go deep.
Speaker:Find your true self and grow that business of yours without
Speaker:feeling fake and salesy.
Speaker:Welcome to the gift biz unwrapped podcast.
Speaker:Brett, Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker:I am thrilled that you are here and I'd like to
Speaker:dive right in to having you introduce yourself in a fun,
Speaker:creative way.
Speaker:And that is by having you describe yourself as a motivational
Speaker:candle. So if you were to let us know what color
Speaker:and a quote or some type of slogan that really resonates
Speaker:with you,
Speaker:what would your motivational candle look like?
Speaker:Okay, so this is by far the coolest podcast interview question
Speaker:I've ever been asked.
Speaker:So let's just get that out of the way.
Speaker:This is so cool.
Speaker:Okay, so my candle would be white.
Speaker:I love white and minimalistic colors and monochromatic things.
Speaker:I know that that might be boring to some people,
Speaker:but it just feels clean and just relaxed to me.
Speaker:So my candle would be white.
Speaker:It would smell like a fresh mountain air near a Lake
Speaker:if that's a smell.
Speaker:I don't have a name for that,
Speaker:but that would be my absolute favorites now.
Speaker:And the quote on it seems like my life mantra,
Speaker:it's like a line of phrase that just has come up
Speaker:again and again in my entire life and that is all
Speaker:as well.
Speaker:So that's my candle.
Speaker:Oh, I love it.
Speaker:It's so pure and simple and clean.
Speaker:Yeah. And do you go to all as well when you
Speaker:get into those inevitable challenge times where like everything seems to
Speaker:be disrupting around you and then you just go,
Speaker:Nope, all is well,
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:I feel like all as well is just stamped across my
Speaker:soul. It's just,
Speaker:it comes in in every moment and for sure,
Speaker:definitely in the moments where I feel frazzled and just kind
Speaker:of ungrounded.
Speaker:If I can quiet my mind enough and dip down into,
Speaker:okay, wait,
Speaker:what's going on here?
Speaker:The line is always all as well.
Speaker:And I find that I say it out loud a lot.
Speaker:So when other entrepreneurs come my way and they're in that
Speaker:frazzled state,
Speaker:I find myself going back to that phrase all as well.
Speaker:Relax all as well.
Speaker:We're going to get through this.
Speaker:It's okay.
Speaker:So, yeah,
Speaker:it's definitely a phrase that probably people around me are sick
Speaker:of hearing.
Speaker:But it's so true.
Speaker:I mean,
Speaker:I'm sick of hearing it sometimes too when I'm in that
Speaker:state of like,
Speaker:Oh, there's so much going on,
Speaker:but it's so true and it's so good and it grounds
Speaker:me so quickly and they're just three simple Words that can
Speaker:be so powerful.
Speaker:So kind of like the Nike slogan,
Speaker:just do it similar type things,
Speaker:simple words.
Speaker:But when you put them together and add meaning behind them,
Speaker:they really can help you and ground you as you were
Speaker:saying. All right,
Speaker:well let's go back a little bit.
Speaker:Share with us how you've gotten to the point that you're
Speaker:at today.
Speaker:What you're doing is so cool.
Speaker:I'm so excited to dive in,
Speaker:but just give us a little bit of the backstory.
Speaker:Yeah, sure.
Speaker:So for context today I own marketing person.
Speaker:Reality is,
Speaker:and it's a website that you can go to to find
Speaker:what your best marketing strategy is based on your Myers Briggs
Speaker:personality type.
Speaker:And I did not start there.
Speaker:So to rewind the tapes a little bit,
Speaker:I got a degree from Penn state about,
Speaker:I don't know how many years ago,
Speaker:just a few.
Speaker:I got a degree from Penn state.
Speaker:Yeah, just a view in kinesiology,
Speaker:which has nothing to do with marketing or owning your own
Speaker:business. Kinesiology is the study of human movement,
Speaker:so I was a science nerd and I really dug that
Speaker:for awhile.
Speaker:I thought I wanted to be a wellness coach,
Speaker:a health coach,
Speaker:and so I got that degree.
Speaker:I got into a really great company with a full time
Speaker:job as a wellness coach.
Speaker:Moved my way up pretty quickly in that company.
Speaker:I was a real go getter in that environment and I
Speaker:found myself in the role of client relations director and I
Speaker:really was not great at that.
Speaker:I was not a good fit for that position.
Speaker:The position wasn't a good fit for me and in my
Speaker:procrastination time in that role,
Speaker:I found myself in really,
Speaker:really great deep discussions about marketing and sales because if you're
Speaker:taking care of your clients,
Speaker:you know you're also thinking about,
Speaker:well, why did they come here?
Speaker:Why are they leaving?
Speaker:And you start looking at the sales and marketing department of
Speaker:the company.
Speaker:Really, really great conversations there.
Speaker:I started to get really fascinated with the world of marketing
Speaker:and sales.
Speaker:Started to get really obsessed,
Speaker:started listening to all these podcasts.
Speaker:This was back when podcasts weren't even really a thing.
Speaker:Like I would say that I listen to podcasts and people
Speaker:would be like,
Speaker:what's that?
Speaker:What are you doing?
Speaker:And these are people my age.
Speaker:These weren't just like my mom.
Speaker:My mom still doesn't really understand what the podcast is,
Speaker:but that's okay.
Speaker:I just got so addicted to them so fast and also
Speaker:reading all the blogs,
Speaker:just getting completely obsessed with it.
Speaker:And then I moved over after a quick conversation with my
Speaker:boss in which I said,
Speaker:Hey, if you don't let me move into the marketing department,
Speaker:I'm going to go do marketing for somebody else.
Speaker:So can I do marketing for this company?
Speaker:And he graciously said,
Speaker:yeah, let's see how you do over there.
Speaker:Cause he knew I was kind of sucking over in the
Speaker:client relations department.
Speaker:So I moved over to the marketing department,
Speaker:turned that whole thing around,
Speaker:did a really great job over there.
Speaker:And within about a year and a half,
Speaker:almost two years,
Speaker:I decided,
Speaker:you know what,
Speaker:I love this stuff and if I can do it for
Speaker:this one company,
Speaker:I can probably do it for other companies.
Speaker:So I decided one day that I was going to quit
Speaker:my job and start a marketing agency.
Speaker:The next Monday I put in my notice at my job
Speaker:and I left four weeks later and I started a marketing
Speaker:agency. And quickly I realized,
Speaker:Oh my goodness,
Speaker:I just went from having one boss to seven bosses,
Speaker:not the most fun thing ever.
Speaker:And so then I warped my marketing agency company into a
Speaker:marketing coaching company where I wasn't necessarily in there doing the
Speaker:marketing for people.
Speaker:I was coaching them through it,
Speaker:typically female entrepreneurs with a coaching business of their own or
Speaker:some sort of digital product type of business.
Speaker:I worked with a lot of those types of entrepreneurs and
Speaker:through that experience with working with all these people being in
Speaker:the marketing,
Speaker:especially the online marketing space for awhile,
Speaker:I started noticing these trends between different clients that I had.
Speaker:I had always asked them their Myers Briggs personality type.
Speaker:As soon as they became my client,
Speaker:because I had always,
Speaker:even from back in high school,
Speaker:I always thought that personality assessments were so helpful in understanding
Speaker:a person and so then I could coach them better and
Speaker:work with them better,
Speaker:so I would always ask and then working with all these
Speaker:different clients,
Speaker:I started recognizing that,
Speaker:wait a second,
Speaker:when I give this piece of advice to this client,
Speaker:she's a,
Speaker:for instance,
Speaker:in NFP,
Speaker:she takes that advice and just totally runs with it.
Speaker:She loves that advice.
Speaker:She just goes with it.
Speaker:It feels so great to her and it feels really good
Speaker:and it works.
Speaker:And then when I take that same piece of advice and
Speaker:I give it to this client who is a,
Speaker:let's say an ISF Jay,
Speaker:completely different personality type,
Speaker:she wrinkles her nose and gets all squeamish and she doesn't
Speaker:know what to do with this.
Speaker:Like this is not feel good to her.
Speaker:And so I started connecting those dots over time.
Speaker:And through those dots being connected,
Speaker:I decided that,
Speaker:okay, this personality thing has a big,
Speaker:big impact on how someone works with me in my coaching.
Speaker:So I started incorporating into my coaching more and then I
Speaker:realized, wait a second,
Speaker:this is a whole framework and this needs to be out
Speaker:to not just my coaching clients,
Speaker:the people I'm working with one-on-one.
Speaker:But this needs to be available for everyone because I'm starting
Speaker:to connect these dots and allowing my one on one coaching
Speaker:clients to feel good in their marketing.
Speaker:And if it's a true framework,
Speaker:this needs to be available to everyone.
Speaker:And that is when marketing personalities.com
Speaker:was born.
Speaker:So now you don't have to work with me one-on-one.
Speaker:You can just go to the website and find out what
Speaker:marketing strategy is going to feel good for you.
Speaker:And you can just let go of the other things that
Speaker:feel fake and salesy.
Speaker:Because at the end of the day,
Speaker:my company,
Speaker:and really my mission here with this entire venture is to
Speaker:show you that you shouldn't have to feel fake and salesy
Speaker:to grow your business.
Speaker:Yes, you don't have to,
Speaker:you can actually feel good.
Speaker:So that is what brought me to marketing personalities and what
Speaker:I'm doing right now.
Speaker:It is brilliant because It makes so much sense that just
Speaker:because let's use the big one that everyone talks about right
Speaker:now live,
Speaker:right? Whether it's Facebook,
Speaker:live, Instagram,
Speaker:live stories,
Speaker:all of that.
Speaker:The big message that always comes out is,
Speaker:Oh, you have to be doing it.
Speaker:It's the biggest thing.
Speaker:It's going to get you great visibility.
Speaker:And while that might be,
Speaker:so not everyone feels comfortable with doing that.
Speaker:So what happens?
Speaker:They don't look authentic.
Speaker:Another big keyword that people are saying right now,
Speaker:right? But it doesn't come across properly if you're not doing
Speaker:something that's a fit with your personality.
Speaker:So again,
Speaker:I'm going to use the word brilliant because I think this
Speaker:can be a game changer for people and I do want
Speaker:to share gift biz listeners.
Speaker:I was just at a mastermind with Brit.
Speaker:We all had our Myers Briggs personality types already and we'll
Speaker:get into that Britt in a second.
Speaker:But we had those types,
Speaker:but then we were able to match up with what Britt's
Speaker:recommendations are for how to market that fits and is most
Speaker:comfortable for us.
Speaker:And it was a little freaky.
Speaker:Everyone remember that Facebook thread Brit,
Speaker:everyone's like,
Speaker:Oh my gosh,
Speaker:like I use standing right next to me seeing the types
Speaker:of things I'm doing or are you inside me knowing what's
Speaker:comfortable and what's not.
Speaker:It was uncanny how right on all of this information was,
Speaker:and we talked about using me as an example.
Speaker:I don't know if that's what our plan is.
Speaker:So I'm not going to share what my experience has been
Speaker:yet because I want all the listeners to come along with
Speaker:us and really understand what this is all about.
Speaker:But it's real.
Speaker:I mean,
Speaker:I love,
Speaker:love what you put together and I'm glad we're catching you
Speaker:at this point in your journey because I think this is
Speaker:going to explode.
Speaker:I'm so excited to see what happens with all of this.
Speaker:Oh, thank you.
Speaker:Let's start out and talk about Myers-Briggs and what that means
Speaker:and how somebody could get their hands on what their personality
Speaker:type is.
Speaker:We've already been saying all these crazy letters and some people
Speaker:might be going,
Speaker:well, what is that?
Speaker:So what's Myers-Briggs?
Speaker:Okay, so Myers-Briggs is pretty much one of the most gold
Speaker:standard personality assessments out there.
Speaker:It's been around for a very long time since about the
Speaker:1920s so almost a century.
Speaker:And it's the personality assessment that a lot of organizations feed
Speaker:you to,
Speaker:to learn more about yourself.
Speaker:And so you can find out what your Myers Briggs personality
Speaker:type is by going to my favorite asset.
Speaker:I mean there are a few assessments out there.
Speaker:The most direct way to get your Myers-Briggs personality type is
Speaker:to go to Meyers-Briggs dot com or Google Myers-Briggs and we
Speaker:can link to that of course and take that test.
Speaker:But then my favorite one actually is not the Myers-Briggs one,
Speaker:it's over on 16 personalities.com
Speaker:it's an assessment that gives you your Myers Briggs personality type,
Speaker:but it also gives you so much more information in a
Speaker:way that I think most of the population is ready consume
Speaker:it. It just makes it more fun.
Speaker:The language is so approachable.
Speaker:It makes sense.
Speaker:So I definitely recommend going to 16 personalities.com
Speaker:Okay. Is that the number six or is it 16 spelled
Speaker:out? It's the number one six personalities.com
Speaker:Okay. And is there a cost to any of this?
Speaker:No. If you go to 16 personalities.com
Speaker:it's a totally free assessment.
Speaker:Beautiful. Okay.
Speaker:And so then what do you get when you go through
Speaker:the assessment?
Speaker:And that's,
Speaker:it's just a list of questions you guys.
Speaker:It's nothing crazy.
Speaker:It's just a list of questions and I think you're supposed
Speaker:to just answer it with your immediate reaction.
Speaker:You're not supposed to overthink the questions,
Speaker:right, Brit?
Speaker:Correct. And I want to be very clear.
Speaker:I don't own 16 personalities.
Speaker:This is a different organization.
Speaker:This is just my favorite assessment to go find your Myers
Speaker:Briggs personality type if you've never known it or maybe it's
Speaker:been a super long time since you've taken a personality assessment.
Speaker:That's my favorite one to send people to because it's so
Speaker:approachable and it's just incredible how they give you your results.
Speaker:They're just mindblowing and as you're taking the assessment,
Speaker:my best advice is to do it at your best time
Speaker:of day.
Speaker:So if your worst time of day is at the end
Speaker:of your day,
Speaker:you're totally wiped out.
Speaker:Probably not a great place to take a personality assessment.
Speaker:So just find your best time of day.
Speaker:Maybe it's first thing in the morning,
Speaker:maybe it is later in the evening when you've relaxed and
Speaker:you wind down whatever.
Speaker:Take it during your best time of day and then as
Speaker:you go through the questions,
Speaker:yes, I do advise to just go with your first gut
Speaker:reaction to the questions and answer them as honestly as you
Speaker:possibly can.
Speaker:Try not to answer them in a way that you think
Speaker:you should answer them,
Speaker:but in a way that you yourself actually believe in.
Speaker:That's key.
Speaker:Yeah. Because if you're not being your true self,
Speaker:then your results are skewed and this is not going to
Speaker:lead you to anything that's really going to help.
Speaker:Exactly. So if someone,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:lots of big businesses will also do these personality assessments.
Speaker:If someone did a Myers Briggs 10 years ago or so,
Speaker:would you suggest they redo it?
Speaker:I do suggest redoing it.
Speaker:There are theories out there that your personality type is kind
Speaker:of locked into you by the time you're five years old
Speaker:or eight years old or whatever and it doesn't change.
Speaker:But in my experience,
Speaker:and I've talked to so many people at this point,
Speaker:sometimes you take a personality assessment right after you've been hired
Speaker:by someone.
Speaker:This is so common.
Speaker:I hear this all the time,
Speaker:and you consciously or unconsciously you answer the questions in the
Speaker:way that you think your new employer would want you to
Speaker:answer them.
Speaker:And therefore you don't really get a true read on what
Speaker:your actual personality type is.
Speaker:And even if it's been a long,
Speaker:long time since you've taken it,
Speaker:take it again.
Speaker:Just go ahead and maybe you come out as the exact
Speaker:same personality type,
Speaker:which just further validates that you were right on from before
Speaker:and maybe you have a new perspective and that's the one
Speaker:that you want to go forth with into the future.
Speaker:So yeah,
Speaker:it doesn't hurt to just take the free assessment and see.
Speaker:Okay, perfect.
Speaker:And so then when you're done,
Speaker:you get four letters that define your personality.
Speaker:So let's talk a little bit about what that's all about.
Speaker:And there's,
Speaker:I think two options for each letter,
Speaker:right? Yeah.
Speaker:And I go into much greater detail about these four aspects
Speaker:on my podcast and on my website.
Speaker:I'll give you a quick overview.
Speaker:So there are four letters.
Speaker:The first letter is either an I or an E standing
Speaker:for either introverted or extroverted.
Speaker:Lots of funny things that people believe and have misconceptions of
Speaker:about the introversion extroversion scale.
Speaker:That could be a whole other separate podcast episode,
Speaker:but regardless of what you think you are,
Speaker:it's interesting.
Speaker:It really,
Speaker:it really depends on where you gain energy from.
Speaker:And studies now are saying that vast majority of the population
Speaker:sits somewhere in the middle.
Speaker:You might have heard the term ambivert before and that's someone
Speaker:who kind of sits in the middle between introversion and extroversion.
Speaker:So again,
Speaker:lots of weird things going on between those two letters,
Speaker:but you won't know until you take the assessment which one
Speaker:you actually are.
Speaker:So that's the first letter.
Speaker:The second letter is either an S or an N.
Speaker:S stands for observant and N stands for intuitive,
Speaker:meaning you are more tuned in to get your information.
Speaker:If you're observant,
Speaker:you tend to prefer to take in information from external sources,
Speaker:your surroundings,
Speaker:and if you're more intuitive,
Speaker:you tend to prefer to look inward for cues to your
Speaker:intuition, your gut reactions to things.
Speaker:Third letter is either a T or an F T standing
Speaker:for thinking and F standing for feeling.
Speaker:This is where you tend to make your decisions from.
Speaker:If you're a T you make it more from a logical
Speaker:standpoint, things that you can think through with your mind and
Speaker:if you're an F you tend to make decisions from your
Speaker:feelings, maybe not logical but true to you feelings.
Speaker:And then finally the fourth letter is either a J or
Speaker:a P.
Speaker:J stands for judging,
Speaker:P stands for perceiving.
Speaker:If you are a J you tend to be pretty self
Speaker:assured. You can make a decision pretty quickly because you have
Speaker:the ability to see things in more of a black and
Speaker:white aspect.
Speaker:And let's be very clear,
Speaker:Jay does not mean judgemental,
Speaker:okay? It just means judging.
Speaker:You have a clear sense of which way you want to
Speaker:go on any given day.
Speaker:And then if you are a P,
Speaker:you are a perceiver and that's someone who tends to be
Speaker:a little bit more open and less able to see things
Speaker:in black and white and therefore a little slower to make
Speaker:decisions. Usually.
Speaker:And as any of the letters,
Speaker:this applies to all of the letters,
Speaker:all of the aspects of your personality type.
Speaker:There is no one right or wrong.
Speaker:There's just a right for you,
Speaker:whatever you prefer.
Speaker:So you are who you are and that's totally enough.
Speaker:So regardless of what you come up as,
Speaker:that's you and that is beautiful and we can definitely use
Speaker:that to our advantage in our marketing and our business to
Speaker:grow and not feel like we're being anybody other than ourselves.
Speaker:Perfect. I agree.
Speaker:And I was going to make that comment if you didn't
Speaker:that there is no one right answer.
Speaker:There is no preferred combination or anything.
Speaker:And the great thing about this versus taking this with a
Speaker:past employer is you're the only one who sees the results
Speaker:unless you care to share them with somebody.
Speaker:So it's a great way just to get more perspective,
Speaker:more knowledge and understanding of who you are and what drives
Speaker:you. And so then the fascinating thing here is then Brit,
Speaker:you take whatever the four letters are and then you overlay
Speaker:that into,
Speaker:okay, what does that mean for your business?
Speaker:And how you could most naturally market your business based on
Speaker:the type of person that you are,
Speaker:right? Correct.
Speaker:Yeah. That's where it goes.
Speaker:When you get your Myers Briggs personality type,
Speaker:you get results that are descriptive so they're describing you and
Speaker:then I've taken that and I've made a prescriptive model.
Speaker:I'm taking your personality type and I'm per scribing a marketing
Speaker:strategy that I know is going to feel really good for
Speaker:you, so it takes it from this theoretical like,
Speaker:yeah, this is who you are to,
Speaker:Hey, if that's who you are,
Speaker:this is what you can do,
Speaker:like let's skip all the fake and salesy stuff and trying
Speaker:everything under the sun and the proverbial throwing spaghetti at the
Speaker:wall and let's just go straight for what's going to feel
Speaker:good because when you feel good,
Speaker:your audience is going to pick up on that feel good
Speaker:energy. They're going to be attracted to that.
Speaker:If you show up fake and salesy and kind of like
Speaker:not sure of yourself,
Speaker:guess what?
Speaker:Your audience is going to pick up on that too and
Speaker:they're going to be like,
Speaker:ah, I don't know if I trust this,
Speaker:I'm going to just find somebody else to work with.
Speaker:But when you're feeling good and confident in how you're showing
Speaker:up and what you're showing up for based on your natural
Speaker:personality type,
Speaker:your audience is like,
Speaker:Ooh, I want some of that.
Speaker:She's feeling good.
Speaker:I can tell this is definitely aligned with who she is
Speaker:and I want more of it and so that's essentially why
Speaker:we do it And it also then overflows into your product
Speaker:too because if you're feeling good and comfortable and confident,
Speaker:then people are going to just feel better about the quality
Speaker:that you present overall even into a tangible product.
Speaker:Wouldn't you agree,
Speaker:Brit? Oh absolutely.
Speaker:Yeah. It's fun to get into these conversations with business owners
Speaker:because we start the conversation by seeing how their personality type
Speaker:can inform their marketing strategy and then the more self aware
Speaker:they become about their personality type,
Speaker:they start to realize that that can also indicate what kind
Speaker:business model they take on and what they offer to their
Speaker:clients and customers.
Speaker:And that not only applies to service based business owners but
Speaker:also product based too.
Speaker:So yeah,
Speaker:absolutely. When we returned to the conversation,
Speaker:I want to share with you a real life example of
Speaker:how you can use marketing personalities and understand what you should
Speaker:and shouldn't do,
Speaker:Be doing with your business.
Speaker:But first I want to make sure you're familiar with my
Speaker:free Facebook group called gift biz breeze.
Speaker:It's a place where we all gather and our community to
Speaker:support each other.
Speaker:I've got a really fun post in there.
Speaker:That's my favorite of the week I have to say where
Speaker:I invite all of you to share what you're doing,
Speaker:to show pictures of your product,
Speaker:to show what you're working on for the week,
Speaker:to get reaction from other people.
Speaker:And just for fun because we all get to see the
Speaker:wonderful products that everybody in the community is making.
Speaker:My favorite posts every single week without doubt.
Speaker:Wait, what aren't you part of the group already?
Speaker:If not,
Speaker:make sure to jump over to Facebook and search for the
Speaker:group gift biz breeze.
Speaker:Don't delay.
Speaker:Come join us in gift biz breeze today.
Speaker:Okay, so I'd like to bring the listener and continue them
Speaker:on the journey we talked about using me as an example,
Speaker:so I'm willing to just like share with the world what
Speaker:I'm all about.
Speaker:Just by way of example,
Speaker:obviously many of you would be different than I am,
Speaker:but you're up for that Brit to talk about For me
Speaker:and what my results were and I think people who have
Speaker:been following me for a while are going to see how
Speaker:in line I am not like what this did for me,
Speaker:Brett, when I got my results is like,
Speaker:Oh my gosh,
Speaker:what I'm doing is already the right fit for what your
Speaker:results were showing me.
Speaker:So that made me just feel more confident and more comfortable
Speaker:in what I'm doing out there with potentially a little tweak.
Speaker:But let's talk about this a little bit.
Speaker:I am an E N F,
Speaker:J. Awesome.
Speaker:So let's talk about what that means.
Speaker:So I'm you go with the numbers with the letters,
Speaker:I mean,
Speaker:Yeah, I'll just give you a rundown and I know this
Speaker:personality type really,
Speaker:really well because I am also an ENF J yay.
Speaker:That might skew some things a little bit.
Speaker:If you're interested to hear me speak about a personality type
Speaker:that is not mine.
Speaker:I talk about that a lot in my own podcasts.
Speaker:But this will be fun because we'll just get to jam
Speaker:about the things that feel really good to both of us.
Speaker:And remember as we go through this dear list center here,
Speaker:this is not the only way to do it.
Speaker:That's why there are 16 different personality types and 16 different
Speaker:suggestions that I give throughout my work.
Speaker:And then even within just one personality type,
Speaker:there are how many billion people on the planet and every
Speaker:single person is different from one another.
Speaker:So while Sue and I are both ENF Jays,
Speaker:we will still do things differently,
Speaker:right? Because we're different humans with different human experiences.
Speaker:So in ENF J so let me break it down for
Speaker:you real quick.
Speaker:Those letters,
Speaker:E stands for extroverted,
Speaker:N stands for intuitive.
Speaker:F stands for feeling.
Speaker:J stands for judging,
Speaker:But not judgemental.
Speaker:You shared,
Speaker:Right, but not judgemental.
Speaker:Very different.
Speaker:Very different word because I was worried about that when I
Speaker:got that J at first too.
Speaker:I was like,
Speaker:Oh no.
Speaker:Yeah, it's so funny how that can have a negative connotation,
Speaker:but just like we said,
Speaker:there's no right or wrong.
Speaker:And J isn't better than P P isn't better than J.
Speaker:So as an ENF Jay,
Speaker:we know that you are part of the diplomat tribe.
Speaker:So there are 16 personality types,
Speaker:and there are four tribes within those types of four different
Speaker:types in each tribe.
Speaker:So the diplomat tribe are those who have N an F
Speaker:in their personality type,
Speaker:intuitive feelers.
Speaker:And what we know about intuitive feelers is they are deep.
Speaker:They love to go deep.
Speaker:There's always something deeper to dig into for them.
Speaker:They are intuitively tuned,
Speaker:so looking at cues from inside and their feelings.
Speaker:And so when that is the case,
Speaker:we've got lots of deep stuff going on all the time,
Speaker:all the time.
Speaker:We are also very much mission driven.
Speaker:So if we can identify why we're doing something and we
Speaker:intuitively know that we believe in that,
Speaker:why we'll do it,
Speaker:but without a clear why we are not in,
Speaker:we're like,
Speaker:Whoa, Whoa,
Speaker:Whoa, pump the brakes.
Speaker:Why are we doing this again?
Speaker:I cannot tell you how many times I asked that question
Speaker:in my corporate job like,
Speaker:Whoa, wait a second.
Speaker:But why can you tell me why?
Speaker:Because a lot of times for intuitive feelers,
Speaker:especially if they're larger corporation and they're not autonomous,
Speaker:they're not making all the decisions for themselves.
Speaker:It can get really muddy like,
Speaker:but why in the world are we doing it this way?
Speaker:I have found that can lead a lot of intuitive feelers
Speaker:to start their own thing because they can't find the why.
Speaker:It's difficult to Does that follow through in all things?
Speaker:Because I'll even see just with projects like when I've been
Speaker:on boards or things like that and a project comes up,
Speaker:it's like what's the end result?
Speaker:Why are we even doing this?
Speaker:But I think of it more as a productivity issue.
Speaker:Like we're spending so much time on this is what we're
Speaker:trying to get to worth that much time investment.
Speaker:Yeah. Well anything regarding your personality type affects everything in your
Speaker:life. So it's not just,
Speaker:I mean I give a lot of business related and career
Speaker:related examples cause that's the space I'm in.
Speaker:But this also relates to relationships,
Speaker:life outside of business,
Speaker:everything. Because this is how you approach life as human.
Speaker:Okay. That makes sense.
Speaker:That's interesting.
Speaker:So the concern of wasting time is something that I see
Speaker:in intuitive feelers and specifically ENF Jays as well.
Speaker:I have a couple of theories on why that is.
Speaker:I think the biggest thing is that we often as intuitive
Speaker:feelers, we don't go surface level.
Speaker:We go deep and any kind of thing that's gonna stay
Speaker:surface level doesn't feel like it's worth our time.
Speaker:And because we like to go deep,
Speaker:we need a lot of space and time to create things
Speaker:and knowing that we have to be really careful to not
Speaker:let surface level projects,
Speaker:things without a Y creep in and cut away at our
Speaker:time on the things that really matter to us.
Speaker:So time comes into that thought of like,
Speaker:okay, but why?
Speaker:Why, right?
Speaker:Because we definitely want to be spending our time wisely on
Speaker:the things that do matter to us.
Speaker:Right. As we look at specifically the ENF Jay best marketing
Speaker:strategy, it relates to speaking with your audience.
Speaker:So usually we see ENF J's hosting podcasts,
Speaker:ding, ding,
Speaker:ding. Here we are and creating really rich conversations.
Speaker:We often do really well with a mic in front of
Speaker:us. We often have quite a few things to say,
Speaker:but not in a way that is commanding or dictatorship.
Speaker:It's more in a way of,
Speaker:Hey, I have figured this out.
Speaker:I'm just a couple steps ahead of you and I really
Speaker:want to help you out with this.
Speaker:If you're willing to listen,
Speaker:I could probably get you there a little faster because I've
Speaker:gone ahead and I've figured something out for you,
Speaker:so we very much take on a guide and a mentor
Speaker:type of role for our people very naturally.
Speaker:I mean,
Speaker:it's not even something that we necessarily have to try it.
Speaker:It just happens because that's how when we're in a healthy
Speaker:EMFJ space,
Speaker:that's just how we operate.
Speaker:Often our customers,
Speaker:our audiences,
Speaker:our family members,
Speaker:our friends,
Speaker:they often come to us and ask for advice for some,
Speaker:even if we're younger than the person,
Speaker:people ask our advice because we just so naturally present ourselves
Speaker:as that mentor,
Speaker:as that guide,
Speaker:as that wiser person.
Speaker:I feel that so much and one thing since we were
Speaker:going that direction.
Speaker:One thing and possibly my biggest revelation from the information that
Speaker:I got from you,
Speaker:Brit, was,
Speaker:yes, I like to speak in front of people.
Speaker:I like to podcast.
Speaker:I do Facebook lives,
Speaker:all of that type of thing.
Speaker:But the most interesting part of all of that is in
Speaker:the documentation that you sent is for me,
Speaker:I'd rather help someone help themselves than forever being relied on
Speaker:being the fixer,
Speaker:the one who answers all their questions.
Speaker:I would rather empower another person to be able to take
Speaker:it and move forward.
Speaker:And that for me was so insightful because even the programs
Speaker:that I create,
Speaker:I'm trying to make it so they're not always reliant on
Speaker:me forever,
Speaker:and I didn't really know that about myself,
Speaker:but been,
Speaker:that's naturally what I've been creating.
Speaker:People are asking me more and more to coach,
Speaker:and even my communication style in terms of coaching is here's
Speaker:the types of thoughts,
Speaker:conversations, action steps.
Speaker:Now take that and carry forth.
Speaker:Versus now I'm going to teach you how to do it
Speaker:all. That's not my style,
Speaker:right? I'll help direct it,
Speaker:but I'm not going to be your doer forever.
Speaker:I want you to be able to do it.
Speaker:So you're empowered,
Speaker:Right? As an ENF J and I feel this so viscerally
Speaker:because I am an ENF J but we do not want
Speaker:to be seen as the one with all the answers.
Speaker:We would rather get into a conversation or even start a
Speaker:conversation that prompts the listener to find the answer within themselves.
Speaker:We just intuitively know that everyone knows the answer.
Speaker:You know the answer.
Speaker:You just have to be prompted to ask yourself to answer
Speaker:the question.
Speaker:And so Sue,
Speaker:I want you to,
Speaker:this is like,
Speaker:I haven't told any other ENF Jay to do this,
Speaker:but I just happened to be watching the lion King on
Speaker:freeform this past weekend because it's the middle of winter and
Speaker:I am really,
Speaker:really lame and I was watching the lion King and now
Speaker:that I'm so deep into personality types,
Speaker:I can't help myself.
Speaker:When I'm watching movies,
Speaker:I'm tying out the characters like I'm imagining what type they
Speaker:are and I realized that,
Speaker:and I'm going to blank on the name of the baboons,
Speaker:the one that Simba meets in the jungle and Rafiki that's
Speaker:his name.
Speaker:Go watch lion King and just experience that baboons and how
Speaker:he acts.
Speaker:He is a,
Speaker:Oh my goodness,
Speaker:like quintessential textbook ENF J as an NFJ it will give
Speaker:you such if your experience is anything like mine,
Speaker:it just gives you so much inspiration and empowerment to be
Speaker:that guide and give someone the gift of finding the answers
Speaker:within themselves.
Speaker:That's what we're here for.
Speaker:Yep. I love that and I'm so excited now.
Speaker:I am going to do that this weekend cause I just
Speaker:loved the lion King movie.
Speaker:Anyway, so now I have reset.
Speaker:So that all works well.
Speaker:One just quick self question for you because I have to
Speaker:ask it is I also find that yes they have the
Speaker:answer inside themselves but so much of the time they prevent
Speaker:themselves from seeing it because of their own self-talk,
Speaker:the mindset of who am I and like all of that.
Speaker:So a lot of what I find,
Speaker:even though we're going to start talking about a conversation of
Speaker:how do you get more customers,
Speaker:which products should I be offering?
Speaker:All of that.
Speaker:The real story is why would people ever even want to
Speaker:buy from me or I'm afraid to put myself out there
Speaker:because what if people aren't interested you?
Speaker:Like it's more the mindset thing.
Speaker:And so we get into a lot of that conversation too.
Speaker:Does that align with my personality type?
Speaker:For sure.
Speaker:Because you're an intuitive feeler.
Speaker:You prefer to look at your internal world for cues as
Speaker:opposed to the external world.
Speaker:And you are a feeler,
Speaker:which means you tend to make decisions from what you're feeling,
Speaker:the emotions as opposed to what you're thinking.
Speaker:Now you might be working with someone who is more of
Speaker:a thinker or someone who's more observant.
Speaker:So looking externally and not internally and someone who's trying to
Speaker:make a logical decision and using their mind and paying attention
Speaker:to what their mind is saying as opposed to what they're
Speaker:feeling. And there can be a disconnect there.
Speaker:And this is yet another dynamic of our personality types.
Speaker:We don't only work with people who have our personality type,
Speaker:so to be first self aware of what your personality type
Speaker:is and then become aware of who you're working with and
Speaker:how you might be able to not change their personality type
Speaker:to be yours,
Speaker:but I'm speak to them in a way that they can
Speaker:move past their hurdles in a way that makes sense to
Speaker:them and not just that makes sense to you.
Speaker:So in that case for you Sue,
Speaker:you're going to be naturally and uniquely positioned to encourage people
Speaker:to quiet the mind.
Speaker:Even if they're a thinker,
Speaker:quiet the mind,
Speaker:extract themselves from the distractions externally and look inward for the
Speaker:answers because you're an expert at that.
Speaker:Whether you realize that or not,
Speaker:you're an expert at that because you just do it naturally
Speaker:so you're uniquely qualified and positioned to give people the space
Speaker:and allow people to do that for themselves regardless of their
Speaker:type. Beautiful.
Speaker:I love hearing that.
Speaker:That makes me feel good because it matches what I think.
Speaker:So perfect.
Speaker:And give his listeners,
Speaker:I don't want you to feel like this has been self
Speaker:serving, but this is a demonstration of the types of things
Speaker:that you can learn about yourself as you start matching these
Speaker:things up.
Speaker:So I wanted to do a demonstration of that.
Speaker:Now just on the other side.
Speaker:The other thing,
Speaker:and we won't take too long with this,
Speaker:but the other thing is it also shows you what you
Speaker:are less comfortable doing and what you should do less of
Speaker:and maybe hire out for in your company because it doesn't
Speaker:resonate with your personality type as well.
Speaker:So let's talk about that in relation to an ENF J
Speaker:Okay. Yeah.
Speaker:So every single personality type,
Speaker:I'll show you your best marketing strategy.
Speaker:I also will show you your worst marketing strategy.
Speaker:So that gives you the permission to either just simply not
Speaker:utilize that worst thing in your strategy or if you feel
Speaker:like it still belongs in your strategy,
Speaker:that's something that you outsource and you get someone who's strength
Speaker:is that thing to come in and work that for you
Speaker:so you don't get bogged down in that worst marketing strategy.
Speaker:And it's so fascinating.
Speaker:Kind of breaks my heart sometimes,
Speaker:but it's just what us humans do.
Speaker:I find in so many people validated in their results,
Speaker:their marketing personality type results and saying,
Speaker:I knew this was my best marketing strategy.
Speaker:And then they see their worst marketing strategy and they're like,
Speaker:Oh man,
Speaker:I have wasted so much time,
Speaker:money and effort trying to make that worst marketing strategy work
Speaker:for me.
Speaker:Because for some reason we get into this comparison trap.
Speaker:We see someone who is our exact opposite and we try
Speaker:to do things like them because we think that's what we're
Speaker:missing. If we could just master that thing that feels hard,
Speaker:we would make it.
Speaker:But in truth now you don't need that.
Speaker:You just need you.
Speaker:And what feels good?
Speaker:So for an ENF J,
Speaker:you know ENF Jay's tend to be pretty skillful and a
Speaker:lot of things.
Speaker:And I don't say that to toot my own horn,
Speaker:that is not my aim.
Speaker:Every time I have to say that,
Speaker:I'm like,
Speaker:Oh, that feels so self serving.
Speaker:But it's not true.
Speaker:It's ENF.
Speaker:JS tend to be pretty dynamic in their skills and their
Speaker:knowledge. And so in that we recognize that we probably could
Speaker:do everything in our business ourselves if we had to,
Speaker:we could do it.
Speaker:And we kind of lean towards that,
Speaker:especially in the beginning.
Speaker:We're like,
Speaker:I can totally do this.
Speaker:We are some of the most empowering,
Speaker:empowered people on the planet.
Speaker:And so we're like,
Speaker:I can totally do all of this.
Speaker:I'm going to just take it all on.
Speaker:And if we're not careful,
Speaker:we keep everything that we took on and we don't give
Speaker:anything away.
Speaker:And the one thing that ENF Jays,
Speaker:not that they're bad at it,
Speaker:but they can really get bogged down by it and it
Speaker:can hold them back from their best marketing strategy,
Speaker:are the technical integrations of a sales funnel.
Speaker:We're visionaries and so we can see how a sales funnel
Speaker:can work.
Speaker:We can strategize all day long about it,
Speaker:we can put it into place and we can probably do
Speaker:a really good job at putting it into place.
Speaker:But not for our best gain.
Speaker:Our best efforts are meant to be over here behind a
Speaker:mic, creating conversations and empowering people with our mesmerizing voices,
Speaker:not behind the scenes,
Speaker:working out a tech glitch and figuring out if teachable integrates
Speaker:with this thing over here and how to send this email
Speaker:and can we do it?
Speaker:Yes. Should we do it for our best gain?
Speaker:Probably not.
Speaker:So that's the ENF J suggestion And Oh my gosh.
Speaker:Yeah. And that is so me,
Speaker:so me.
Speaker:And you should see all our marketing funnels,
Speaker:like it's crazy.
Speaker:But the thing that I did,
Speaker:and I didn't do this because of the direction of knowing
Speaker:that that was more my weakness just by my own huge
Speaker:fortune. My assistant,
Speaker:she has to take this because I need to know what
Speaker:her personality type is.
Speaker:But she's an engineer by training.
Speaker:So she's so detailed and she's now the one who does
Speaker:all that integration.
Speaker:Sam cart through this too is matching this to infusion soft
Speaker:stuff too.
Speaker:Like all of that.
Speaker:And it's so nice.
Speaker:And now I'll go in there and check things and all
Speaker:of that.
Speaker:But in terms of building from scratch,
Speaker:I won't do it anymore because she's so good at it.
Speaker:And guess what?
Speaker:She likes to do it,
Speaker:I think.
Speaker:I think she does.
Speaker:We'll get she's skilled at it.
Speaker:Yeah, because it's comfortable for her.
Speaker:But we'll have to have her take that test cause I
Speaker:need to know now.
Speaker:But the other thing I just want to mention to our
Speaker:listeners, you know,
Speaker:cause a lot of you guys are just starting out with
Speaker:your businesses.
Speaker:So yeah,
Speaker:you're going to be doing all the things,
Speaker:but when you know what types of things you're less capable
Speaker:of just by nature of your personality,
Speaker:not that you can't do them,
Speaker:but they're not the best fit for you.
Speaker:That's a great directive on what you hire out for first.
Speaker:When you're at that point in your business growth because that
Speaker:it's going to release you of things that are less comfortable
Speaker:so you retain the things that you can do so much
Speaker:better and when you're focusing more on those,
Speaker:you can also do them faster.
Speaker:So I think it's great directive in that way as well.
Speaker:Yeah, and I would also add to that,
Speaker:even as you're just starting out,
Speaker:of course you're going to wear all the hats,
Speaker:but you also don't need every single marketing strategy under the
Speaker:sun. You don't need to be in all of the places
Speaker:you need to be in that one feel good place and
Speaker:create a presence there.
Speaker:And then once you've established that and you've really mastered it
Speaker:to the point where it just comes so natural,
Speaker:it's systemized,
Speaker:it's a piece of you now,
Speaker:then move on to something else.
Speaker:I totally cringe when I see any business owner trying to
Speaker:be in all of the places and all the places feel
Speaker:kind of like a mess even if they feel good out
Speaker:externally to other people,
Speaker:but they're just kind of a mess internally behind the scenes.
Speaker:It's like,
Speaker:man, I really,
Speaker:really want them to just slow down and focus on the
Speaker:thing that they're best at and see what happens.
Speaker:Because I know there's massive potential in that one place.
Speaker:That's why marketing personalities exists in the first place.
Speaker:You're so powerful in that in a natural feel good space.
Speaker:And if you were to just lean into that and allow
Speaker:yourself to focus on it and grow in that,
Speaker:Oh man,
Speaker:I mean you don't even need all the other places.
Speaker:You just serve off to the races in that one focused
Speaker:area and making a name for yourself and growing your business.
Speaker:So yeah,
Speaker:I encourage it and I've heard from a lot of people,
Speaker:especially when I first brought this to the scene,
Speaker:a lot of people were like,
Speaker:Oh my goodness,
Speaker:I have wasted so much time and energy on being everywhere.
Speaker:And if I could have just known this,
Speaker:this marketing personnel alley type from the beginning,
Speaker:I could have just avoided all of that.
Speaker:I think that's exactly why you're right on.
Speaker:This is going to explode soon because it does really get
Speaker:you around those hurdles before you even realize that you could
Speaker:be blocked.
Speaker:We're just gonna go around all of those distractions.
Speaker:We're going to get you to the end point and you
Speaker:can focus on that.
Speaker:I'll tell you,
Speaker:I think I got here slower.
Speaker:I think I'm on the right path because the other thing
Speaker:I'm doing this year is I've hired someone to help me
Speaker:with my visibility and getting more speaking gigs and more PR
Speaker:presence and all of that.
Speaker:So this just confirms that that's a good path for me
Speaker:to continue on.
Speaker:But I probably could have cut two or three years out
Speaker:of my development had I not been focusing on the blogs
Speaker:and some of the other things and gone straight to more
Speaker:of what naturally is right for me.
Speaker:So I'm glad you're on the scene now,
Speaker:Britt, because we all need you.
Speaker:So we've already told them how to do their Myers Briggs.
Speaker:Now, how can our listeners get some better understanding of their
Speaker:personality type with the type of information that you just took
Speaker:me through for themselves?
Speaker:Yeah, it's really super simple.
Speaker:So as long as you know your Myers Briggs personality type,
Speaker:Then you'll go over to a special link that Britt has
Speaker:set up for me.
Speaker:For all of you,
Speaker:it's gift biz,
Speaker:unwrapped.com forward slash your marketing personality.
Speaker:Again, gift biz,
Speaker:unwrapped.com forward slash your marketing personality.
Speaker:And what happens when they get there,
Speaker:Brett, You'll simply click on your Myers Briggs personality type.
Speaker:All 16 are right there on that page.
Speaker:You just select yours and it'll take you through that information.
Speaker:It'll be super easy to find every thing that we just
Speaker:talked about,
Speaker:And then you guys analyze how it feels.
Speaker:I'm almost a hundred percent sure every single person is going
Speaker:to have some insight like I did and definitely say,
Speaker:Oh my gosh,
Speaker:this is so right.
Speaker:This is so me.
Speaker:Because as I said at the top of the show during
Speaker:our mastermind,
Speaker:everyone was like blown away how right it was.
Speaker:So I'm excited for all of you to do that.
Speaker:So the first thing you do,
Speaker:step one,
Speaker:go to the Myers Briggs,
Speaker:find out what you are and then go over to marketing
Speaker:personalities.com. Click on the link that contains your letters and then
Speaker:discovery is awaiting you.
Speaker:So that's kind of exciting.
Speaker:We're going to leave them with teas.
Speaker:How about that,
Speaker:Brett? Yeah.
Speaker:Oh that's so good.
Speaker:So any final comments?
Speaker:Kind of a wrap up here about marketing personalities.
Speaker:Well, thank you for giving me the floor and getting to
Speaker:share this with your audience.
Speaker:I can't wait to hear from them and hear what they
Speaker:find. Validation,
Speaker:new ideas,
Speaker:empowerment to show up in their true natural feel.
Speaker:Good light.
Speaker:And I shared this at the event that Sue and I
Speaker:met each other at.
Speaker:Once you find your marketing personality type.
Speaker:That's really the first step in that understanding and feeling that
Speaker:validation. The next step that you could easily skip over and
Speaker:probably go down a bad road with is you have to
Speaker:believe that your natural personality type and what feels good to
Speaker:you is enough.
Speaker:We've got this thing going on in our society and our
Speaker:culture that tells us that unless it's hard,
Speaker:it's not worthwhile and unless it hard,
Speaker:you don't deserve to make money.
Speaker:Right? I mean hate is a strong word and that's why
Speaker:I use it.
Speaker:I hate that.
Speaker:I mean I really,
Speaker:really don't appreciate that mindset because when you feel good and
Speaker:it's not hard,
Speaker:you show up in such beautiful way and that's what's going
Speaker:to attract your clients and customers.
Speaker:So find your marketing personality type and then really believe that
Speaker:that's enough to go far and reach your goals and your
Speaker:dreams with this business because it is so believe in that.
Speaker:Go for it.
Speaker:Oh my gosh,
Speaker:you have just presented gold.
Speaker:I'm so glad I asked you that last question because this
Speaker:point is huge.
Speaker:It never has to be hard and when you start going
Speaker:into hard,
Speaker:you might be going off your path.
Speaker:Could be a way to look at it as well.
Speaker:I'm thinking.
Speaker:Yeah. So at this point,
Speaker:I'd like to present you with a virtual gift because you
Speaker:were here and shared so much valuable information we want to
Speaker:share back to you.
Speaker:It's a magical box containing unlimited possibilities for your future.
Speaker:So this is your dream or your goal of almost unreachable
Speaker:height that you would wish to obtain.
Speaker:Please accept this gift from us and open it right here
Speaker:in our presence.
Speaker:What is inside your box?
Speaker:Oh, okay.
Speaker:This actually might be my absolute favorite question on a podcast.
Speaker:I forgot this one was coming.
Speaker:This one's my favorite.
Speaker:The candle is a good warmup,
Speaker:but this one is just like takes the cake.
Speaker:Okay? So as I opened my box,
Speaker:you will see me on stage with a mic in my
Speaker:hand. I gotta be on stage,
Speaker:I have to be speaking.
Speaker:That is absolutely what I'm called to do.
Speaker:And I'm specifically speaking to women and encouraging them and empowering
Speaker:them to be themselves just like I did.
Speaker:I mean,
Speaker:I just did that like a minute ago and that's why
Speaker:I'm here.
Speaker:I really believe that's my purpose in this life.
Speaker:If we really want to go that big,
Speaker:like that's why I'm here.
Speaker:And so in side of my box is me on stage
Speaker:with a mic in my hand speaking to women and encouraging
Speaker:them to show up just as they are because that's exactly
Speaker:what we need them to be.
Speaker:That's exactly what this life needs them to be.
Speaker:And aside from that,
Speaker:I have a thriving community of people in marketing personalities,
Speaker:affiliates that are making bank right alongside of me,
Speaker:sharing about marketing personalities and maybe even a certification program out
Speaker:there someday too.
Speaker:Oh, I could see that because there's no way you're going
Speaker:to be able to be everywhere,
Speaker:right? I mean in person everywhere online you can,
Speaker:but not in person.
Speaker:Right. Oh,
Speaker:I can see that so easily.
Speaker:And you're a star on stage because you presented to us
Speaker:last week.
Speaker:Well, it's actually been a month now.
Speaker:Whenever this goes live,
Speaker:it'll be awhile.
Speaker:But you definitely are in your jam when you're on stage
Speaker:for sure.
Speaker:Thank you.
Speaker:On behalf of me and my listeners.
Speaker:We wish all of this to come true for you because
Speaker:as you said,
Speaker:and these are my favorite is when some of these dreams
Speaker:circle back and help a bigger group.
Speaker:It's so wonderful and most of them actually do but love
Speaker:yours. I'm so in tune with yours wishing you much success.
Speaker:You go on and give biz listeners,
Speaker:make sure you grab this information.
Speaker:You're going to learn a lot about yourself and Britt,
Speaker:I am just so honored that you came on the show
Speaker:today and I could introduce you to my listeners.
Speaker:Thanks again for being here.
Speaker:Thanks so much for having me Sue,
Speaker:So I'm usually pretty good at keeping secrets,
Speaker:but I'm spilling the beans.
Speaker:I can't help it.
Speaker:I'm so excited.
Speaker:I just want to tell you guys what I've been working
Speaker:on over the last few months.
Speaker:It's been a little bit of a secret project because I
Speaker:wasn't sure exactly what the timing was going to look like
Speaker:on it,
Speaker:but I can't wait.
Speaker:I have to share with you my secret.
Speaker:Many of you have been following me for a while.
Speaker:Know that I wrote a book that came out last may.
Speaker:It's called maker to master,
Speaker:but that's not what this is about.
Speaker:Although it spins off a similar concept.
Speaker:When I was getting serious about writing that book,
Speaker:there were actually two books that I had in my mind.
Speaker:One was maker to master and that truth be told was
Speaker:the harder one to do,
Speaker:but I also was really interested in writing a book that
Speaker:was an inspirational book kind of inspiration a day.
Speaker:I know you've seen those out there where it's 365 inspiring
Speaker:thoughts for your year or something like that.
Speaker:I think very often we get Defeated by our own self-talk
Speaker:and we also sway away from core solid business growth values
Speaker:because there's a new social media site that's available or other
Speaker:things come up that take our mind off of the really
Speaker:important things that we need to grow our business.
Speaker:As things happen.
Speaker:My idea continued to evolve and I came up with the
Speaker:idea of instead of doing a 365 inspiring tips type book,
Speaker:it would be way more helpful for you if it was
Speaker:included in some type of a planner so that every day
Speaker:when you're planning out your day,
Speaker:you'd also then see a tip.
Speaker:If I look at how I work with things,
Speaker:I don't know if I would have a book on the
Speaker:side of my desk and every day look at one day's
Speaker:inspiration. Then another days operation.
Speaker:Way better to have everything in one place.
Speaker:Consequently, I have created a planner.
Speaker:It's called inspired a daily planner specifically for you,
Speaker:our wonderful community of gifters,
Speaker:bakers, crafters and makers.
Speaker:I'll be sharing more in the upcoming days,
Speaker:but let me give you a few highlights here.
Speaker:One of the cool things about this planner is you can
Speaker:start any month of the year.
Speaker:Have you ever been like me where all of a sudden
Speaker:in may you decide I want to start things different.
Speaker:I want to get myself really organized,
Speaker:but then you go to find a,
Speaker:and they either start in September going into the next year
Speaker:or you have to buy a year and all the prior
Speaker:months of the year are useless for you because you're all
Speaker:in fee in may with this planner.
Speaker:You can start anytime.
Speaker:If you're listening to this announcement in January,
Speaker:you can start it right away.
Speaker:If you're hearing this in may,
Speaker:you can use this planner starting in may.
Speaker:It has monthly and daily layout,
Speaker:so you'll be able to keep yourself really organized and special
Speaker:life enhancing sections.
Speaker:More on that later also includes what I've been talking about
Speaker:earlier and the reason I changed this from a book to
Speaker:a planner and that is daily inspiration.
Speaker:Things that you need to be telling yourself,
Speaker:affirmations to get in the right mindset as the owner of
Speaker:your business.
Speaker:Also, business tips and ideas.
Speaker:Some of them you're gonna read and you're like,
Speaker:yep, got it,
Speaker:it's covered.
Speaker:And then others might give you some pause ideas of things
Speaker:you might want to implement into your business to further either
Speaker:solidify or grow what you all have going.
Speaker:That's all I'm going to share with you right now,
Speaker:but I will tell you that we are just weeks away
Speaker:from getting this out to you.
