Shownotes

In this mini episode of This Daring Adventure, I discuss the concept of change and the necessity of embracing discomfort to achieve meaningful transformation.

The episode explores why many people, particularly women in their 40s and 50s, feel stuck in unfulfilling situations and highlights the importance of pushing through discomfort to create the life they desire.

The host introduces 'Unstuck', a three-month coaching program designed to help women reframe their perceptions of discomfort, build confidence, and take actionable steps toward their goals.

Discomfort is not a sign of failure but rather an essential part of the growth process.

Transcripts

Trista:

Hey everybody, welcome back to mini episode Monday

2

:

on This Daring Adventure.

3

:

I hope you had a good

weekend and a belated happy

4

:

International Women's Day to you.

5

:

So today I wanted to talk about change

and In particular, the price of change.

6

:

And while most people will

say they want change, they say

7

:

they want to feel confident.

8

:

They want to stop second

guessing themselves.

9

:

They want to finally take the action that

they say they want to take, or to create

10

:

the life that they've been dreaming about.

11

:

But, the moment it starts to feel

uncomfortable, they pull back, they

12

:

wait, they tell themselves maybe

later, and then later turns into never.

13

:

Does this sound familiar?

14

:

I see this a lot.

15

:

I see women in their 40s and 50s,

brilliant, capable, but feeling stuck.

16

:

Stuck in a job that doesn't light them up.

17

:

Stuck in a relationship

where they're shrinking.

18

:

Stuck in maybe a cycle of overthinking,

people pleasing, not setting boundaries,

19

:

and waiting for something to change.

20

:

They're stuck in a cycle of looking

to others to validate them, to

21

:

appreciate them, to respect them.

22

:

But here's the thing.

23

:

Waiting doesn't create change.

24

:

We have to take action through discomfort.

25

:

That's the only thing that's

going to make you move forward.

26

:

Discomfort is not a problem.

27

:

When you want to create something

new, when you want to go to the next

28

:

level, when you want to make big

changes in your life, it's not going

29

:

to feel like rainbows and daisies.

30

:

It's gonna be uncomfortable

and that's okay.

31

:

It doesn't mean anything's gone wrong.

32

:

It's not a sign that you should stop.

33

:

It's not proof that you're

doing anything wrong.

34

:

It's just the cost of the

life you actually want.

35

:

Discomfort is the cost of

the life you actually want.

36

:

Think about it.

37

:

Every transformation you've ever had

has started with discomfort, and it's

38

:

included discomfort along the way.

39

:

Learning to walk, discomfort.

40

:

Learning to ride a bike, discomfort.

41

:

Learning to drive a car, discomfort.

42

:

Every new level in your life required

you to move through discomfort.

43

:

Not avoid it.

44

:

But somewhere along the way we

became adults and we thought, ooh,

45

:

we shouldn't be feeling this way.

46

:

And here's where most people get stuck.

47

:

They think that discomfort

means something has gone wrong.

48

:

They believe if it's hard, it must

not be meant for them, and they end

49

:

up choosing comfort over change.

50

:

let me ask you, Where in your life

are you choosing comfort over growth?

51

:

you want real transformation, you have to

start seeing discomfort for what it is.

52

:

It's a sign that you're on the right path.

53

:

You don't get a stronger body

without pushing through the burn

54

:

of exercise or lifting weights.

55

:

You don't build confidence

without facing fear.

56

:

And you don't get unstuck by

waiting until it feels easy.

57

:

And this is the work that I

do with my clients in Unstuck.

58

:

This is my three month signature coaching

program where I work one to one with

59

:

you to rewire the way you think about

discomfort so that instead of running from

60

:

it, you use it to fuel your next level.

61

:

Because if you're feeling discomfort

right now, it means that you're

62

:

on the edge of something big.

63

:

You're going in the direction

that you want to go.

64

:

And I don't want you to back down.

65

:

I've worked with so many women who thought

they were just stuck, who thought they

66

:

were just not confident, and who believed

that change wasn't possible for them.

67

:

But I believe that it is possible for you.

68

:

I believe that if you want

to change, you can do it.

69

:

You just haven't learned the

right tools and skills yet.

70

:

You haven't had the support

that you've needed yet.

71

:

But I can help.

72

:

And do you know what happens when you

finally stop waiting for the discomfort

73

:

to go away and start moving through it?

74

:

Everything shifts.

75

:

Everything shifts.

76

:

It's like my client, Diane, who

went from staying small in a job

77

:

she hated to finally applying

for and landing her dream role.

78

:

The fear didn't go away, but

she learned how to move with it.

79

:

And it's like Sandra, who had

spent years doubting herself

80

:

and relationships, constantly

worrying about what others thought.

81

:

But after working together, she set

boundaries for the first time and

82

:

reconnected with what she really wants.

83

:

And is now feeling more in

control of her life than ever.

84

:

So, if you take one thing from

this episode, let it be this.

85

:

Discomfort is not the problem.

86

:

It's the path.

87

:

The life you want, the version

of you that feels confident,

88

:

powerful, and fully alive?

89

:

She's on the other side

of that discomfort.

90

:

Everything you want is on the

other side of that discomfort.

91

:

The question is, are you

willing to walk through it?

92

:

Because if you're done waiting, if you're

done staying stuck, then now is the time.

93

:

I work with women inside my Unstuck

program, my three month coaching program,

94

:

where we take everything we talked about

today and actually apply it to your life.

95

:

You learn the tools and the skills

you need to get unstuck for good.

96

:

And you don't have to do it alone.

97

:

You just need the right support.

98

:

You need someone to teach

you the right tools.

99

:

And someone who's been there

to walk you through it.

100

:

And that's where I come in.

101

:

So if you're ready to stop

spinning in self doubt, and

102

:

finally create real momentum, book

a discovery call with me today.

103

:

The link is in the show notes, or you

can DM me on Instagram, and let's talk.

104

:

Because staying stuck, that's optional.

105

:

But your next level,

that's waiting for you.

106

:

So let's go.

107

:

I'll see you on the call.
