Writing a book is a journey.

…and because of my guest Amanda Johnson I have now written 4 that have been released with the 5th one currently on the table. Today we are talking all about the book publishing industry, the journey that is writing a book and the healing that comes through the telling of your story.

Amanda had been writing all through highschool and college, helping others write better papers and editing their writing for publishing. Forever the editor of other people’s stories but never one of her own.

With a little one at home, and a marriage that was falling apart Amanda got her chance to work with her mentor. It was on this part of her writing journey that she came to realize the value she had to offer to the world and her story that was ready to be told.

Are you being called to write your story? There is no time like now to get started and this episode is your inspirational jumping off point.

Join me and Amanda Johnson to learn why you shouldn’t ignore the call and just how possible it is to tell your story to the world.

Unknown:

now written five books. The fifth one, we're still trying to

Unknown:

coffee. So I'm Yes. Oh, I love that love, love. Hashtag love

Unknown:

that. Um, yeah. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. So

Unknown:

before we get there, before I introduce Amanda formula, I want

Unknown:

Unknown:

expand your quantum revenue container, ie to x or 10x, or

Unknown:

sales, get in alignment with your packages and pricing, ie

Unknown:

raise your prices, shift your packages, work on your

Unknown:

marketing. And then the third part of the class we talk about

Unknown:

how to collapse time and get there even faster, which is so

Unknown:

much fun, because that's the whole quantum conversation. So

Unknown:

anyway, if you go to Ursula inc.co, it's $1,000 value, it's

Unknown:

the coolest class ever, you get it as a gift for being a

Unknown:

listener of the show. So if you haven't done that, definitely do

Unknown:

super excited about it. I love that class, you don't you just

Unknown:

love something like you love a class that you like, Rebecca and

Unknown:

I love the 2x intensively we put our arms around that guys, we

Unknown:

just love it. Because we keep the class small. And you come in

Unknown:

and you get to work on your business for two days focusing

Unknown:

on 2x thing or 10x in your sales, whatever you want, while

Unknown:

shaving 10 or more hours off your work week. And in order to

Unknown:

do that you have to uplevel your team, you have to uplevel your

Unknown:

systems and processes, probably all those things you don't like

Unknown:

spending time on, we're going to help you get it done over the

Unknown:

two days. So you can go to Ursula nk.co forward slash

Unknown:

apply. Send us a few details about you and my team. We'll get

Unknown:

excuse me, 2022 is already filling up. Because I feel like

Unknown:

people are just ready. Like they're ready. And that's like

Unknown:

three twos in the year next year. So I just numerology wise,

Unknown:

no, it's going to be a great year. So come and play with us.

Unknown:

We'd love for you to have one of those seats. All right, all my

Unknown:

housekeeping is done. And a Johnson is in the house. Amanda.

Unknown:

And by the way, if you haven't listened to her other podcasts

Unknown:

go back because you can hear like, we've had the most

Unknown:

interesting conversations about business and book publishing. So

Unknown:

go back and listen to those shows as well. One of the one or

Unknown:

two of them and double your sales now. That is what it used

Unknown:

to be called. And then which is still in this quantum revenue

Unknown:

expansion lineup. Like you'll find them there. And then also I

Unknown:

interviewed Amanda last year, so you definitely want to hear

Unknown:

about her journey, because she helps aspiring and seasoned

Unknown:

change agents. Right through her individual and collective

Unknown:

stories. She partners with divinely inspired souls to craft

Unknown:

messages for maximum impact on their audience brand and bottom

Unknown:

line and heal their stories so they can change the world

Unknown:

without compromising their health, their sanity, or their

Unknown:

soul. After years of engaging, clarifying and helping others

Unknown:

develop powerful messages as a student teacher and master

Unknown:

writing coach, Amanda has uncovered her own as well, in

Unknown:

addition, she just wrote this great book with a hand like a

Unknown:

bunch, not including me, a bunch of other authors called, you

Unknown:

can't make this story up, which we're gonna be talking about

Unknown:

today. Because you really can't like the stuff that has happened

Unknown:

in our lives. I feel like you can't make this up. And really,

Unknown:

when the mess becomes the message, right, like great

Unknown:

things can happen. So let's, let's just jump in. I mean,

Unknown:

maybe people need to know how we met or kind of our story and

Unknown:

your story, you take away and then we'll, we'll see what

Unknown:

unfolds. Yeah,

Unknown:

that's a great place to start. Because I mean, I originally

Unknown:

reached out to you to be in the book, or to write the foreword,

Unknown:

I was like, I can't do this book without your story in it,

Unknown:

because you're the first real client that I had. I mean, I was

Unknown:

always helping people through high school and college and all

Unknown:

my degrees to help people, you know, write better papers and

Unknown:

get things done. And I was editing for people. And then

Unknown:

there was this moment in time, where I was really kind of at my

Unknown:

lowest. And I had a little boy at home, my marriage was falling

Unknown:

apart. And I had this opportunity to work with a

Unknown:

mentor, and work with her an online writing instruction

Unknown:

company. And it was amazing. And I was doing all this work with

Unknown:

her. And then we went out, this is a great business lesson. We

Unknown:

went out to shop her business, and she ended up going to NABO.

Unknown:

And met a bunch of you. And her business was all about helping

Unknown:

people to write well, like learn how to write well. And, and all

Unknown:

of you people were like, um, I do not want to learn how to

Unknown:

write well, I want someone to fix all of this content that I'm

Unknown:

trying to get out into the world. And so for a while, while

Unknown:

she was trying to figure out what she was gonna do with the

Unknown:

company, and where she was going to go, I became the primary

Unknown:

editor in the company. And so that's why when you had sewing

Unknown:

with intention, kind of in its final moments of production, and

Unknown:

I know she had edited that for you, but then it was like the

Unknown:

workbook, I need a workbook, and I need it in two weeks.

Unknown:

I don't remember that, by the way, but I believe you.

Unknown:

This is this is when Ursula talks about collapsing time. She

Unknown:

was not joking. I watched her do this for 15 years. It's

Unknown:

ridiculous. Two weeks, and I was like, I have my teaching

Unknown:

credential. And this lady is talking about tapping back into

Unknown:

potential, which is what I have lost. And so here I was, like, I

Unknown:

know I have more potential than this. I'm at my deepest, darkest

Unknown:

moment here. I have this little kid that I don't want to turn

Unknown:

out like this, what am I going to do? And then Ursula shows up.

Unknown:

And she's like, Hey, I have a book about intention and

Unknown:

potential. And I was like, Sign me up. So yeah, we did that in

Unknown:

two weeks. And I went to lunch, and I met other people who

Unknown:

eventually became editing clients. And yeah, I mean, and

Unknown:

then I think after selling with intention, one great goal was

Unknown:

already pushing out you. Mm hmm. So then it was, you know, deep

Unknown:

dive into editing for that. And I had the opportunity to work to

Unknown:

be in your, what was it like a coaching program for one great

Unknown:

goals, like a trial, like a pilot something. And that's when

Unknown:

my message came through? was during that time, because I was

Unknown:

like, Well, I have a goal, I just want to, like, feel like I

Unknown:

can survive. And, you know, like, that's really where I was

Unknown:

at. I'm not, I'm not exaggerating at all, it was a

Unknown:

horrible, horrible phase. And so we get into the one great goal

Unknown:

class, and we're working through it. And I'm like, what these

Unknown:

goals are these my goals, I don't know whose goals these are

Unknown:

my parents goals, my teachers goals, like, and then I had this

Unknown:

moment with my mentor. And she asked me, what value do you have

Unknown:

to give to the world today? And I was like, I have no clue. I

Unknown:

just did not, I could not reach for it. But in 20 minutes, after

Unknown:

a lot of tears, I realized, Oh, that's my message. It was the

Unknown:

the way that I was raising Aaron was extremely important. And I

Unknown:

was starting to see the results. I was changing the way that I

Unknown:

was messaging him because I was clear enough that I could see

Unknown:

all of the words and messages that had kind of messed me up,

Unknown:

well, really well intentioned, really well intentioned things

Unknown:

that parents and teachers said to me that just kind of got me

Unknown:

twisted up in knots. And so I was unraveling that and redoing

Unknown:

it with him and getting amazing results. So that's when my

Unknown:

message came through. And then one great goal was, gee, Ursula,

Unknown:

I had this idea on my way home. What if I partnered with a

Unknown:

teacher from the secret and she was like, I'm sorry, what I

Unknown:

mean, of course, but Where'd that come from? Right. And yeah,

Unknown:

the rest is history. It'll happen. Oh my gosh, like so many

Unknown:

things

Unknown:

that I forgotten first of all, necessity is the mother of

Unknown:

invention. I remember now why I had to get the workbook done so

Unknown:

quickly. It's because Tim and I owed sickness six mortgages we

Unknown:

had to pay in one month and I had to get that class off the

Unknown:

ground so that that First selling with intention intensive

Unknown:

off the ground. Oh my gosh, yeah, um, one great goal, you

Unknown:

know, I just want to kind of throw in for our listeners, you

Unknown:

know, to me books are really divine downloads, and they come

Unknown:

through us as messages, right. That's what Amanda is talking

Unknown:

about. And we all have our, you know, our pain stories as

Unknown:

Amanda's sharing her as we all have the stuff that we've gone

Unknown:

through. And I'll tell you like, my pain stories, like my life

Unknown:

stories are still coming out in the books. Like, it's still

Unknown:

like, the last book that I wrote up level now, which is not in

Unknown:

the world, yet. It's sitting, right, it's, I could see it

Unknown:

sitting right over there. It's waiting, I definitely share the

Unknown:

most personally and the most. You know, kind of the hardest

Unknown:

stuff and stuff that Amanda you didn't even know, and I've known

Unknown:

you for years. And so just just so much compassion for everyone

Unknown:

who's listening or watching, you know, that we all have messy

Unknown:

stuff in our lives. And if you feel like you're called to write

Unknown:

a book you are like it's trying to come through you are so

Unknown:

follow that guidance. And you know, find people who can

Unknown:

support you. Like one thing I think is great about like you,

Unknown:

you know, one thing that man and I are modeling today is this,

Unknown:

the support of other entrepreneurs, the support of

Unknown:

other mentors and experts. I mean, we're friends today. But I

Unknown:

remember when we met, when you said that novel meeting, a bunch

Unknown:

of you, a bunch of you, people I didn't know, like, you know, I

Unknown:

was, yeah, a bunch of those. And then which you became then

Unknown:

right, and entrepreneur as well. Being an entrepreneur is a

Unknown:

lonely journey, like, let's face it, it's a lonely journey. And

Unknown:

it's, it can feel like the biggest self development course

Unknown:

you'll ever take. And then if you write a book, then you got

Unknown:

to write about all your stuff, right? Your storytelling, and

Unknown:

all that stuff that's come through being an entrepreneur.

Unknown:

And yet, it's also one of the most important healing Journeys

Unknown:

you can take. And I have found so much healing, through my

Unknown:

business through helping people through helping our clients and

Unknown:

through through writing. And so, I mean, let's, um, we mentioned,

Unknown:

you know, you can't make this story up, tell us about the new

Unknown:

project that you're working on with, with clients. I'm part of

Unknown:

that I'm excited to be part of it. Why did you decide to write

Unknown:

this book? Like, why did that book want to come through at

Unknown:

this time in the world?

Unknown:

Yeah. Well, it actually started about two years ago, almost

Unknown:

exactly. And I don't know, you know, how sometimes just, it's

Unknown:

the magic, right? Like, sometimes just a bunch of things

Unknown:

planned at one time, and all kind of alchemize into this

Unknown:

idea. And I was getting a lot of feedback from my clients that

Unknown:

was like, wow, you know, if I hadn't been through this

Unknown:

program, I wouldn't have blah, blah, blah. And it had nothing

Unknown:

to do with getting the book done. Once, you know, business,

Unknown:

like it was about transformation and healing that was happening

Unknown:

for people because they had reengaged their story, and

Unknown:

learned how to co author their lives instead of just kind of

Unknown:

being in it as the character. And so I just thought, you know,

Unknown:

there are enough people that I think we should tell the story,

Unknown:

because at the same time, I was hearing from a bunch of

Unknown:

creatives who were like, you know, I have this great idea.

Unknown:

And it was so wonderful, and, and I'm stuck. And there's

Unknown:

something wrong with me. And I've signed up for all of these

Unknown:

programs, and spent 10s and hundreds of 1000s of dollars to

Unknown:

try to get people to help me. And I don't understand what it

Unknown:

is oh, and then I paid more money to figure out why I was

Unknown:

sabotaging myself. And I still can't get this book done. And,

Unknown:

you know, 10 or 15 years of this taught me one thing that this is

Unknown:

about way more than building a business writing a book, it's

Unknown:

really the soul's call, I believe, to get clear on the

Unknown:

things that still aren't working. You know, we think we

Unknown:

say we want to write a book because we've overcome this, and

Unknown:

we want to share how we did it. And that's friggin amazing,

Unknown:

share that. And also, there's usually an area of our lives or

Unknown:

something that is still kind of janky. And the process of

Unknown:

writing will show us not just where that is because it usually

Unknown:

jumps up and slaps us in the face. As soon as we start

Unknown:

writing, let's be honest, I call them story collisions. But it

Unknown:

also if we can actually get into the process and get past the the

Unknown:

stress and the stuckness and just write those shitty rough

Unknown:

drafts, you know, then we can really begin to see where we

Unknown:

keep losing our power, where we keep the story loops going,

Unknown:

where we have agency where we could pick up the pen and write

Unknown:

a new script or write in a new behavior and the play that we're

Unknown:

living here so you know, it's been it was an amazing moment

Unknown:

where I was like, you know, I think we just need to have all

Unknown:

these people tell their stories so other people don't feel so

Unknown:

darn crazy all the time because There's so much like what's

Unknown:

wrong with me? Right? You hear it all the time. What's wrong

Unknown:

with me? Why can't I do this? It turns into self shaming, self.

Unknown:

flagellation is awful. And so there was that piece. But then

Unknown:

there was also a crescendo, let's say, of me realizing that

Unknown:

I had never told my parts of the stories. And that was extremely

Unknown:

important to me. Because, you know, oh, Amanda, thank you

Unknown:

helped me to heal this. Oh, Amanda, thank you helped me to

Unknown:

do this. And, and it's like, well, that's awesome. But these

Unknown:

people don't know what they catalyzed. For me. Every message

Unknown:

came into my life, like I shared at the beginning with yours,

Unknown:

right? Like, I'm totally divorced from potential and this

Unknown:

woman with this business name, potential quest jumps in starts

Unknown:

talking about intention, like, no coincidence, you know, I get

Unknown:

a one of the first editing projects I had was about, it was

Unknown:

a resource for caregivers. Well, I was living with my grandmother

Unknown:

at the time. And she right after we finished the book, she ended

Unknown:

up falling and needing a lot of support. And suddenly, I was a

Unknown:

caregiver. And I already had a resource guide. Like, I already

Unknown:

knew what was coming, I already knew what needed to be

Unknown:

addressed. And so there are all of these moments. I mean, people

Unknown:

who've had really terrible relationship issues, man, as

Unknown:

soon as they enter my world, I'm like, at another level of

Unknown:

healing my own relationship stuff. So I wanted people to be

Unknown:

able to see that dynamic first for the creative so that they

Unknown:

could see, you know, like, Okay, I'm not, I'm not the only one

Unknown:

here, like you said, it's a lonely journey, you're not on it

Unknown:

by yourself. And maybe if you stop shaming yourself so hard,

Unknown:

you could get into the process, you know, someone will give you

Unknown:

permission to say, this is actually perfect. There's

Unknown:

nothing wrong with this right now. You just got to keep going.

Unknown:

That would be amazing. And also for all of the coaches out

Unknown:

there. How many coaches do you know walk away? Because it's

Unknown:

just too hard. The clients are just too tricky. It's just too,

Unknown:

like. And I wonder to myself, how much of that is because this

Unknown:

is the thing that's happening under the surface, the clients

Unknown:

are pushing at our own stories. Yeah. And we don't know it. And

Unknown:

so we don't lean in. We call them crazy clients. So we, we

Unknown:

back out of contracts, we and then you know, it's all just all

Unknown:

too hard. And so we stopped for a while and we don't push

Unknown:

forward. And so, for me, that's what I wanted this book to be

Unknown:

was an opportunity for both creatives and coaches, to see

Unknown:

the messy magic that can happen when we're open to it. Yeah.

Unknown:

So God, I know the end for everyone's wondering, yes,

Unknown:

Amanda's gonna tell us how we can get the book with some other

Unknown:

cool things along with it. So let's talk about I mean, I, one

Unknown:

ways we could go with this, and we've had you on the show, and

Unknown:

you've talked about your own business growth, so people can

Unknown:

go back and listen to that. But I'd love to talk about just the,

Unknown:

like, kind of the myths and the truths about what it really

Unknown:

means to write a book and how that could impact your business.

Unknown:

Because I think there's a lot of beliefs out there. So what what

Unknown:

would you like to share with our audience about about that, like,

Unknown:

what's, what are the myths about writing a book? And what are

Unknown:

some of the truths?

Unknown:

Oh, man? Well, I think one of the first things that people

Unknown:

have to realize is that when you get inspired to write, it's

Unknown:

usually the only part that you see is the writing. Like, it

Unknown:

just needs to get the manuscript done. But then, because you

Unknown:

don't know what it's like to write or publish a book, you end

Unknown:

up, like I have so many people who just don't finish the

Unknown:

manuscript. And when I really dig in and ask why it's like,

Unknown:

well, I don't know what comes next. So unconsciously, they're

Unknown:

keeping themselves from finishing because they don't

Unknown:

know how to self publish, or how to reach out to a publisher

Unknown:

what's involved, because that was never what the point was.

Unknown:

Right? It was just to write and get what they needed out of it,

Unknown:

and then hopefully get it to someone else. But I'm sure

Unknown:

they're like millions of manuscripts and drawers that

Unknown:

just are almost there. I could change the world, if they would

Unknown:

just finish it because they knew how to move that forward. So

Unknown:

there's that piece. There's another funny thing that's out

Unknown:

there, like, you know, million dollar authors, and you like,

Unknown:

Oh, are you sure you want to get me started on this? It's hard.

Unknown:

So there's all these and you know, I'm the million dollar

Unknown:

author thing really gets me because it's like really who's

Unknown:

gonna make millions of dollars on a book. When you look when

Unknown:

you understand how publishing works, and you understand that

Unknown:

you're going to charge $15 or 20. Let's go big $25 per book,

Unknown:

and it takes $5 to print and then you got to pay for

Unknown:

shipping. You got to pay for production. You got like all of

Unknown:

these other things you end up with. You're lucky if it's like

Unknown:

a $10 royalty per book, right? Lucky. So how many books do you

Unknown:

have to sell? I'm no good at math. You know that you see me

Unknown:

on spreadsheets? I'm all the words, how many books you have

Unknown:

to sell in order to become a million dollar author? That's

Unknown:

bogus. I hate the way that that's positioned. Yeah, it's so

Unknown:

you know, oh, I want to do that. But then people get into those

Unknown:

into these programs and, and webinars where it's like, oh,

Unknown:

shoot, I have to grow whole business, I was just trying to

Unknown:

write a book. Right. And they don't tell you that, you know,

Unknown:

the first six figures can be really, really tricky.

Unknown:

It's a lot of work.

Unknown:

And so, you know, but, and then in order to do you know, maybe

Unknown:

go seven, you have to do all of these other things, you have to

Unknown:

hire a team, you have to, you know, Train the Trainer program

Unknown:

start popping up, and all of these different things where

Unknown:

it's like, people are, their minds are blown, because they

Unknown:

just want to write a book, and help people.

Unknown:

So yeah, I want to tie to that. So why write a book? Like why?

Unknown:

Why should someone then like, it's a lot of work? We know

Unknown:

that? Um, what? What's at the end of the road for someone,

Unknown:

after they write

Unknown:

it? Well, I think you're the perfect person to answer that

Unknown:

question was the end of the road, you have five bucks? Why

Unknown:

would you do that to yourself? It's not easy. And I watched

Unknown:

you, you know, eat lots of chocolate chip cookies and

Unknown:

drink. Yeah, and have lots of little screaming emails about

Unknown:

editing processes.

Unknown:

The worst? I mean, I'd love to I mean, I'll, I think we can talk

Unknown:

about this for a minute. I

Unknown:

think you know that, at least for me. It was more painful to

Unknown:

not write the book, because I knew it was going to help

Unknown:

somebody. And I felt like, I felt like the message was meant

Unknown:

to come through me. And I think, I think too, like, this is

Unknown:

important to talk about, because I did the same contrast and

Unknown:

compare thing that everybody else does, like, I'll go out and

Unknown:

be like, well, because I have another book that wants to be

Unknown:

written right now. It's been sitting in my mind, it's on my

Unknown:

list here. And it keeps coming up in a million different ways.

Unknown:

People are like, I want you to write x book, like, literally

Unknown:

people have said to me, you need to write this book on this thing

Unknown:

that I say. And so it's become, it's again, becoming more

Unknown:

painful to not write the book, because I know, here's the other

Unknown:

thing, not only is it going to be great for, for whoever gets

Unknown:

to read it, it's going to be helpful, it's going to solve

Unknown:

some problem, it's gonna be really good for me. And so

Unknown:

there's so much transformation and healing that comes through

Unknown:

writing the book myself, and, and getting it out there. And

Unknown:

just some of the, the ideas of the processes and the things

Unknown:

that are gonna come through to help people it's gonna help me

Unknown:

as well. So so it's like, again, I think it's just more painful

Unknown:

to not write the book. Now, I but I also want to say, I met

Unknown:

you and I met the right people at the right time, like

Unknown:

synchronicity definitely happen to say where, like you showed

Unknown:

up, you've always said, you've always believed in my books more

Unknown:

than I have. And I and that's really important to find people

Unknown:

who could be in your corner and say, Yeah, this is a great book

Unknown:

to put out there. And, and to not get stuck in the trap of

Unknown:

like, oh my gosh, but so and so wrote this book, like or so and

Unknown:

so wrote this book, that is none of your business. That's not

Unknown:

your book, that's none of your business. You've got to let your

Unknown:

book come through, because that book is meant to help certain

Unknown:

people in the world. So I think that's my, you know, again, more

Unknown:

painful to not write it then like to just let it come

Unknown:

through. I guess I feel like right now the ideas are coming

Unknown:

down. It's like, I got this whole sheet like looking at me.

Unknown:

Yeah, well, and I think the other thing, too, that I've seen

Unknown:

for you is that it always propels and catalyzes the next

Unknown:

thing for you. So there's something about like when you're

Unknown:

hanging on to like the sewing with intention class or the you

Unknown:

know, and you're like, I have to do this, because this is the

Unknown:

only way that this is getting to the world is me doing this, but

Unknown:

when you put it in a book, then it cracks open the next thing

Unknown:

that wants to come through you, but we hang on to these things.

Unknown:

I was just looking at it yesterday, I'm in calendar,

Unknown:

hell, because I was reading. And I was like, there's so much that

Unknown:

I could do. Right? So many programs that I've offered over

Unknown:

the years, and I love them all. But what are the things that are

Unknown:

needed now? And and so, you know, the next audience is

Unknown:

calling view and it has always been calling you look at the

Unknown:

audience, the audience of clients, and listeners that you

Unknown:

have now are dramatically different than when I met you 15

Unknown:

years ago. Right? I mean, from from income, to personality, to

Unknown:

right, like all of those things. There's completely different and

Unknown:

I think part of that is because every book has allowed you to

Unknown:

it's like a stepping stone to your next your next level of

Unknown:

business. Your next book of clients. And I think that's all

Unknown:

a result of healing. You know how many, one of my, my favorite

Unknown:

and least favorite parts of what I do is like, well, this awesome

Unknown:

is this, this framework is amazing. But there's this one

Unknown:

thing that I feel like is missing right here. You know,

Unknown:

and it's like the most natural thing in the world, to the

Unknown:

author. And so they don't include it. But it is the magic,

Unknown:

because is the thing that is the most natural to the author that

Unknown:

they have used to propel their journey forward. It's the unseen

Unknown:

thing because they don't put value on it, because it's so

Unknown:

easy. But for everyone else, they got to know what that is.

Unknown:

And they got to know how to how to embody that themselves in

Unknown:

order to get the same types of results. So with every one of

Unknown:

your books, you I've watched you wrestle like, well, this is the

Unknown:

way I've done it before. But actually, I think if I, you

Unknown:

know, what, there was this one other thing that I did, that

Unknown:

isn't even in this framework, and so it's made you even better

Unknown:

and even more articulate with how you're really doing things.

Unknown:

And I think, you know, the belief zone was like, getting

Unknown:

the, the real juice behind how you've been doing business, you

Unknown:

know, it was like, You had all the sales books, then we got the

Unknown:

belief zone, and it was like, Oh, this is what's really

Unknown:

happening. This is the, the underbelly of, of what's making

Unknown:

this go at the level that it goes. So and then, you know,

Unknown:

this next book up level now is just another, it's another level

Unknown:

of integration. And it's not about just business anymore.

Unknown:

It's about the personal and, you know, I've watched you, I've

Unknown:

watched you wrestle with all those things over time, to the

Unknown:

point where, like, now it's ready for a book and then who

Unknown:

knows what's gonna come next?

Unknown:

I kind of know, but to your point, I just want to say this,

Unknown:

like, I think you're so so accurate in that, you know, by

Unknown:

for those of us who write a book, or who have them stashed

Unknown:

somewhere and need to bring them out again, there's so there's so

Unknown:

much clarification that comes not only through the book, but

Unknown:

also your right like through the business and what I'm doing with

Unknown:

my clients, because we can't, we can't see our own stuff. We

Unknown:

can't like even what we're good at, we can't. But I think so

Unknown:

many years, because for those of you who've known me and been on

Unknown:

this journey with me, like I'm not a different person, what's

Unknown:

different is because of all the healing and peeling, I've done,

Unknown:

I'm a lot more confident. And confidence if we go back to

Unknown:

selling with intention, confidence is what sells right

Unknown:

just like you, Amanda, all the healing and healing. You've done

Unknown:

all the mentors, you've worked with all of the 1000s and 1000s

Unknown:

of dollars that you've spent to learn about, you know, writing

Unknown:

being an author being just a successful human being exact in

Unknown:

your words, peeling, you know, all of that has increased your

Unknown:

competence. Like, I would love to be so crazy to see, like if

Unknown:

we can put the two of us circa 2004. Up here right now, like,

Unknown:

we are not the same people. And it's because we've been

Unknown:

committed to a transformational journey. I mean, to me, writing

Unknown:

is really about being in transformation, and being

Unknown:

committed to that journey, being committed to being better, being

Unknown:

better humans working on ourselves, so that we can help

Unknown:

more people.

Unknown:

Yeah, I just had a client yesterday, tell me, you know, I

Unknown:

felt like a completely different person. And I was like, isn't it

Unknown:

interesting that you can feel both ways at the same time, I

Unknown:

feel like a completely different person, but more like myself

Unknown:

than I've ever felt. And that's what that is, right? Like, we

Unknown:

come into this world. And, you know, most of us are pretty, not

Unknown:

damaged when we get here, let's say right, like, right, we come

Unknown:

in with like, gifts and talents and super powers and some sort

Unknown:

of divine code, and then all the stuff happens, messages get put

Unknown:

on us, traumas happen, we create stories about those traumas, and

Unknown:

it just keeps creating layer after layer after layer that

Unknown:

keeps the real us from being actually interacting with the

Unknown:

world. And feeling like we can be ourselves so yeah, with

Unknown:

every, you know, like, I love it when I'm writing. And I'm just

Unknown:

like, I don't know if I think that's true. Like did I really

Unknown:

like I'm working on this fun little 10 reasons to run away

Unknown:

from being a messenger right now. Like, probably great for my

Unknown:

business right but like 10 reasons to not do this. These

Unknown:

are really good to not do this. Um, and and part of that is this

Unknown:

piece of like, it's not easy, but to your point, you know,

Unknown:

what else are you going to do? That's that's what we always get

Unknown:

to right and the quitting conversations like

Unknown:

what's my How're we each other's quitting coaches? What does that

Unknown:

mean?

Unknown:

Oh, well, I don't know how many times I think the frequency has

Unknown:

has lessened over the years, it has. Maybe once or twice a year,

Unknown:

now one of us will get a text from the other. That's like,

Unknown:

Okay, that's it. I'm done. Like, this is all too hard. I don't

Unknown:

know what the heck, I was thinking this is ridiculous. I

Unknown:

have these things coming up in my business right now or my

Unknown:

personal world. And it's just all too hard. Like, I'm done.

Unknown:

Yeah. And the other one says,

Unknown:

awesome, that's perfect.

Unknown:

What else are you gonna do?

Unknown:

I just want to add, like we all somehow, we always end up

Unknown:

starting a coffee, like a cafe, like a coffee house somewhere.

Unknown:

But then there's a conference room and we end up going back in

Unknown:

the conference room, and we start training again, all that

Unknown:

to say, we never get to quit, it's like this full. It's just a

Unknown:

full circle. So we've tried to quit and it hasn't worked out,

Unknown:

which is actually probably a good thing. And speaking of

Unknown:

that, we're almost out of time. So I want to what I want to

Unknown:

close with just before we talk about the book and how to get it

Unknown:

and the other things that you do. What's your final advice for

Unknown:

our listeners, like, we're, we're in this really, we're

Unknown:

still in the pandemic, whatever's happening. We're in a

Unknown:

weird time in the world. You know, we're two years into that,

Unknown:

as we record this, many of us are having, you know, great

Unknown:

years in business, like if we're still around, mourn, probably

Unknown:

not surviving, we're probably thriving. And maybe there's some

Unknown:

who are listening who aren't quite yet and want that, but

Unknown:

what's, what's your best piece of advice for? For listeners, as

Unknown:

we close out? Start writing. Yes,

Unknown:

yeah, with no agenda, really, like I mean, if you know, you're

Unknown:

supposed to write a book, then just start writing. And, you

Unknown:

know, if you're feeling stuck, or you're feeling excited, the

Unknown:

writing is so going to expose something to you, that will take

Unknown:

you to the next level, whether that's unstuck or, you know,

Unknown:

yeah, next level, like something incredible, being able to show

Unknown:

itself because we tell ourselves the most amazing things when we

Unknown:

put pen to paper. And if we're willing to look at all of the

Unknown:

most amazing stuff with some of that hard stuff that comes along

Unknown:

with it, then sky's the limit.

Unknown:

Sky's the limit. And you can't make this story up. The book

Unknown:

launch tell us about like, if someone wants to work with you,

Unknown:

what do you have for us today?

Unknown:

Well, if you go to Trudeau intention, comm you will see all

Unknown:

the things. The book I'm really excited about, it's gonna launch

Unknown:

on my birthday, January 21 2022, fortuitous numbers, I believe.

Unknown:

Yeah. Um,

Unknown:

and so what we have done is we have 19, authors, and then

Unknown:

myself, and all of us came together to not just write this

Unknown:

amazing book that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe cringe a

Unknown:

little. But, you know, we wanted it to be more than the book, we

Unknown:

want the book to inspire people, we want the book to support and

Unknown:

make people feel like they're not crazy for feeling the way

Unknown:

that they are inside of the creative or coaching process.

Unknown:

But we also wanted to give them tools because Alo, it's a

Unknown:

community full of brilliant people with tools and skills and

Unknown:

messages. And so what we did was we combined, we're calling them

Unknown:

the creative cocoon kits. And there are four different levels

Unknown:

of offering. So the first level is a bunch of digital content

Unknown:

that people can get that will help them to move forward. These

Unknown:

are classes or PDF reports, or excerpts from books, or even

Unknown:

children's books that they can read to their kids like,

Unknown:

amazing, amazing content. And then at the next level, if they

Unknown:

want to purchase even more books, they get the opportunity

Unknown:

to join us for live classes. So we have people who do yoga and

Unknown:

tapping and like all of these awesome things will actually

Unknown:

help creatives move through the process and move some energy and

Unknown:

get unstuck. And then we're doing you like this, or doing

Unknown:

these creative clusters. Because, you know, clusters of

Unknown:

people, but also sometimes it feels like a cluster, right?

Unknown:

Like, literally and so we're gonna have conversations with

Unknown:

people and kind of put them on the on the hot seat, like give

Unknown:

them the opportunity to ask whatever questions they want

Unknown:

about books about business, about brandy and about all the

Unknown:

things that we collectively have to offer. And so it'll be fun.

Unknown:

And then there's of course, huge discounts in the big grand prize

Unknown:

baskets for like, huge discounts on my program and a bunch of

Unknown:

other coaching programs again, like when people get into this

Unknown:

process. Usually at least one thing pops up a relationship

Unknown:

issue, a financial thing, a health thing, like the stories

Unknown:

are all tied together. And so collectively, we touch all of

Unknown:

those arenas for people. And so no matter what they're going

Unknown:

through, they're going to be able to find support.

Unknown:

Someone said about that. Yeah. So the best place to the best

Unknown:

place is just to go to true intention calm is there any

Unknown:

specific thing you want to point them to or anything else,

Unknown:

it should be on the on the home site, you'll see you can't make

Unknown:

this story up, you can put your name and email address in and

Unknown:

you'll get the introduction in your inbox, so you can kind of

Unknown:

get a little taste. And also, we've watched sips of story and

Unknown:

sanity podcasts, and that sips of story insanity, like

Unknown:

Insanity, you know. So that's launched. And so we're

Unknown:

interviewing all of the collaborators right now. And

Unknown:

those are hope areas, laugh, cry, cringe. I mean, I just love

Unknown:

hanging out with these people, and them telling like their real

Unknown:

stories behind the stories. It's incredible.

Unknown:

So awesome. Well, thanks for being here. And our listeners go

Unknown:

to true to intention comm check out all this. There's so much

Unknown:

stuff like you have so much content you have so much that

Unknown:

you give away. And also to get a copy of that at Nelson. Yeah,

Unknown:

yeah, you can't make this story up. Is just like for my Can I

Unknown:

pre order? Or what when do I wait until to your birthday,

Unknown:

there's no pre order, what you'll do is you'll go to the

Unknown:

website, and you'll see the sales page, there's a video and

Unknown:

then you just kind of decide what level you want to play at

Unknown:

how many books do you want and what kind of content or support

Unknown:

do you want as in return. And then you make that commitment.

Unknown:

And then the day of, you'll get a reminder to go and purchase

Unknown:

the number of books that you agreed to. And then in order to

Unknown:

get all the content, we'll get receipts and stuff for anything.

Unknown:

Thank you so much for being here. Again, quantum revenue

Unknown:

expansion. Thank you. We always have so much fun, we could talk

Unknown:

forever and our listeners all over the world. Thanks for

Unknown:

hanging out with us. And I hope you enjoyed our just us talking

Unknown:

today about what it really takes to write a book and what that

Unknown:

journey is like and also why it's so important. So if you

Unknown:

feel the call, definitely go to Trudeau intention comm learn

Unknown:

more there. And in the meantime, I just want to wish you an

Unknown:

incredible rest of 2021 Make this your most epic month yet.
