You may know them by various names, but these intentionally simple, streamlined expressions of the church are often small, volunteer-led, and casual. “A lot of the churches are saying, ‘Well our people aren't coming back… so we're going to start micro churches.’ And what they're doing is just basically their church service in their house. In fact, they're not really developing anybody. They're just, ‘Hey, turn on the live stream... And then maybe hang out afterward and have some food.’ I kind of like that aspect better, that's an upgrade from just sitting in pews in silence. And yet it still leaves people, unfortunately, just doing a church service in their homes.”
