I'm stubbing my toe on it, you know, it's it's slippery, but it's all exciting. And you know why it's exciting? Because you get to meet people like Maureen. She's in the hot seat, and she's amazing. She's been on the show. I have been Yes. How about that for just fumbling the ball? Scott scoops it back up. Let's get cracking.
03:12
Shoot. How are you doing? I'm doing great.
03:15
UE Systems, let's just get that out. That's the company. But guys, having a good, lot
03:21
more people here. It's
03:22
been amazing. It's so great to be back after obviously missing last year with the hurricane. I'm sure everybody else has been mentioning that depressed. Yeah, it was sad. So it's been great to see everybody back, and everybody's energized. And it's been very lots of folks
03:35
to talk to, another year of talking about AI.
03:39
Well, that's right, that has certainly been a hot button topic. There's no doubt.
03:43
And another year of saying, doggone it, I can't find people
03:48
also important conversations, those are it. Yeah, I mean,
03:51
it's so funny because I it's the technology you go around. Technology so outstanding, it's crazy, and it's happening so fast, and people are just excited about what they bring to the table, right? But it's, it's the same thing.
04:08
We're the people right?
04:10
Implement it, yeah? Do it. Who get going?
04:13
Give us a little background on Morning,
04:15
yeah, so morning, Gribble with UE Systems. I've been there for, I think I'm coming up on 14 years now, but then
04:21
you might have received her emails. I
04:23
iability world, though, since:04:39
Lot of changes, yes,
04:42
but, you know, it's, there's a lot of changes, but the conversations appear to stay the same. It's like, how do we sustain this reliability culture? How do we, how do we do this? How do we do that? Oh, it's the same. Yeah, I've been in it forever, yes. And it's like, groundhog.
05:00
Day, it can feel that way a little bit, but I also I do see some change. And one thing that I've been commenting on with my colleagues is how many more women I'm seeing here at SMRP this year, and it's been amazing. I love seeing that we've got more women coming to the conference, women engaged in maintenance and reliability, and that's been a cool change to see.
05:22
Yeah, it was you and maybe another person, and now it's 10.
05:28
That's a little more than 10, but yeah, for sure, it's that's been a huge change to see.
05:34
I don't see how you cannot see what's taking place within this world, in this reliability asset management world. And I think we're in a renaissance. But as we continue to talk about how we how do we fill these positions, how do we inspire, how do we train, how do we get all that information out? I think personally, women have to step up. Yep, you get past the fact that see all the
06:03
men, I think you just have to know.
06:05
And I think you know, we certainly are there. There's plenty of women in the industry, so it's great to see more and more coming out, more and more presenting feeling that confidence. I think, you know, I always say it, we tend to have to prepare twice or three times as hard to feel like we're going to be respected and valued. But I think even that's shifting so it is, I think it's, it's like, we just, i The world is ready for us. Here we come.
06:30
But it, it's not just ready. I think it's, it's needed,
06:33
yeah, well, definitely different, different perspectives, different skill sets. I mean, I think, you know, we were very good at organization, organizing and getting things to the finish line and actually getting things done. I think a lot of people, especially UE Systems, if you need something done, go find Maureen,
06:54
a common tale I understand, come to my house. My wife is fills that role real well too. There you go. So for the listeners, did we already talk about your background? We need your background.
07:08
Well, just and yeah, and then talk about UE
07:11
nance reliability world since:07:54
How does UI System, and forgive me, I'm not here to I know my limitations. We talk about ultrasound.
08:04
How does UE System differentiate
08:08
your ultrasound from, well, other ultrasounds, sure.
08:13
I mean, you know, like, like most technologies, there's, there's not just one player in the field. So we do have other folks out there that are providing ultrasound technology and solutions, but I think UE Systems, like I said, over 50 years and we've always been focused on ultrasound. We haven't tried to dip our toe in different waters. We've always kept the focus at providing the best ultrasound solutions for our customers. We've built relationships with our customers over the years so they know that they can trust us, and they know that, above all else, they're going to get the absolute best support that is our one of our core values, our pursuit for customer excellence, and we that's the hill we will die on, is that we will make sure every customer is supported and is the best, absolute user of the technology, because that's what we want to See, and that's how we continue to grow our customers and grow the great programs that they've got going at their facilities.
09:06
See, I like that because it, you know, when I when I was coming up, IT support wasn't really there, yeah, and it was a common problem within industry that these technologies would be purchased. And I remember at one location, but
09:28
the reliability engineers bought
09:31
some tool. I can't remember what it was, and they're not cheap. And there it sat in the cube. Yep, you know why it sat in the cube? Well, no
09:44
one came out to help support it. There it is. Yeah, no, that'll never be the case with us. We're, you know, we were all about making sure our nice, shiny cases aren't collecting dust on any shelves. So, yeah,
09:55
that's and, and I suspect
09:59
I'll. I'll date myself to
10:02
infrared right when I was working as a lineman, the infrared tool that came out, which was absolutely new, had liquid nitrogen associated with you. So you're, you're, you had to bring liquid nitrogen out. So, so you know, fast forward, everything is smaller and a little bit more compact and and more accurate and less well. You know what we did when we we received that, that filter, that that we played with the liquid nitrogen. There you go. But, but because the designs are are more user friendly, more more accurate, all that new, he's
10:39
probably been pushing the envelope on that.
10:41
Yeah, for sure, we're always trying to innovate and try and make sure we've got a portfolio of solutions that that meet the needs of our customers where they're at. So some are ready for our latest and greatest as we're bringing things into, you know, ultrasound Ford auto and the IoT and with our on track solution. But not every customer is ready for that level of of a solution from us. So we continue to make sure our handheld devices that we've been selling for years, that we're continuing to improve those and keeping those actionable insights in the hands of technicians, and just making sure we help our customers solve their problems and move them along and hopefully get them to where they're from.
11:23
From a marketing perspective, yeah, you guys need to have, you need to have a product called
11:27
ultrasound plus, ultrasound plus, yeah, I see it, man, right there. See the plus?
11:34
From a marketing perspective,
11:38
how does, how does you because you've been at marketing.
11:41
I believe, from my perspective, marketing and is a and that attention is important and many within industry. So we're going to go a little macro here. Many in industry don't do a good job at marketing for whatever reason. How do you guys keep current with all of the new marketing stuff out there. Do you guys do tick tock?
12:04
I don't think, I'm not sure if we have tick tock yet. I know we've got Instagram, but we have an amazing marketing team that we've been growing over the last few years, and it's headed up by Brittany Stover, and she's been an amazing addition to our team, and she's been leading our global marketing team. So we're really making sure we're putting out one voice of UE Systems across our entire global organization. They all just attended a conference that was basically all about marketing and how we're going to, you know, tackle the fact that a lot of folks nowadays, when you go to Google and you go Google, you know, bearing condition monitoring, you're not necessarily getting a list of links like you used to get, and ours being the top one, now, you're getting an entire answer from Ai on how to do bearing condition monitoring. So how do we make sure that we're getting ultrasound and what UE Systems can do into the mix, and that team is tackling that and staying on top of it, and it's just going to help our customers get the right answers and be fed the the solutions that they actually need so that they can make good, qualified decisions.
13:05
Isn't that a disruptive reality? It's like, one day I'm using, I'm I'm I'm googling, and I'm typing in and I'm googling, and I get links, right? That's, that's what it's been everybody's talking about SEO.
13:20
Then all of a sudden I go to
13:23
copilot, right? I got the Microsoft version, and then I did something. I typed some prompt in there, and it gives me solutions and a different answer, yeah. And I just, it just hit me upside the head that we as business, we need to recognize the fact that I think SEO, that whole Old School google it thing is gone, yep, in a matter of just days, it was gone, and I just realized that,
13:50
yeah, it's, it's a it's going to be, it's a challenge, but it's also a huge opportunity. So a huge opportunity. So our, I'm confident our team is on top of that, and they're gonna, they're gonna continue to keep us as the leader in ultrasound
14:04
technology. And here's the realities
14:07
you UE Systems recognize it. Okay, you're one company. You recognize the necessity to constantly put yourself out there, but there are a lot of companies that can benefit. And don't
14:20
know, yeah, I think we've, we've talked forever that these reliability conferences could stand to have some marketing tracks seat. Imagine, yes, yeah,
14:36
note the date and time, yes. So it
14:39
is wrestling with that because you never, and that's not just these all conferences, because it has changed. And if we don't, if we don't have that passion to get that message out and in a manner or in a form that is consumed by people, then we fail Exactly. We exactly. That's what's that's what's on your shoulder. That's what's on everybody's shoulder. Yeah. So how
15:07
does UE System use AI?
15:10
Well, we're using it with our on track System. So to take in all these data points from all these bearings that we've got our sensors on, and they are, you know, we're running that through. We've got some data scientists now on staff that are taking all that information, and we're learning some amazing things that some truths that we thought to be for so many years, that we're kind of, you're going to see some disruption from UE Systems in the next short little bit of time. So it's we're ready for, for what's next.
15:37
And I gotta, I got to tell you, and when we start talking about AI, it's the data that you guys pull, the information the connected devices that you have. I mean, you're like right there, to be able to take that tool, that AI tool, to be able to flip over insights quicker, more accurately, and and just really help industry.
16:07
Yeah, and, like you said from the start, where's all the people so you gotta, you have to have your, yeah, your equipment actually giving you the story, so that the people that are there know exactly what they need to go and do, and with less resources. So that's the future. Yes,
16:26
I'm hyperventilating. She's talking my talk. You're absolutely spot on. We need to be more efficient. That's what these tools allow us to focus on. What is important, because we're not having we need more people. That doesn't mean we don't stop that. We stop trying to get the people we need more people, but right
16:44
now, but in the meantime. All right, how do
16:47
people get ahold of you? Maureen, that's that that's important, outside of the fact that we need more marketing tracks. How about just getting one marketing track
16:58
exactly that's the goal for next year. So just find me on LinkedIn. Maureen gerbil happy to connect and look forward to all that's to come.
17:05
d in a big way. So make it up:17:42
