Solemn episode of Critical Banter this week, as the title suggests. Before we dive into Sen’s current misgivings, we start this week with a philosophical discussion. Are umbrellas communal? Given the recent torrential rain in Sydney, this question has become more poignant than ever.
We also each discuss our own shady pasts with “borrowing” umbrellas. We also then discuss other biblical signs that point to the end of the world including the current mice plague before ending with a discussion about the Suez Canal.
Our new game this week is called “Gushing Grannies.” Despite the confusing name, this game is quite simple. Sen presents the boys with a rogue (but real) business name from somewhere around the world, and they must try and guess the type of business, based purely on it’s name.
We end with “Sen Needs Therapy,” as Sen recently came to the realisation that he is about to experience a quarter life crisis. Given this, instead of seeking actual professional help, he turns to 2 equally dopey idiots for some advice. In this segment Sen brainstorms some potential ways to navigate through this crisis, which will hopefully bring clarity to himself and to any listeners in the same boat.
Also this week: Lost property, Armageddon, rim jobs, assault & battery and sabbaticals.
Segments this week:
The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week’s news stories, events and viral trends.
Gushing Grannies: The boys are given terrible business names and they have to try and figure out the type of business based on the name.
Sen Needs Therapy: As the name suggests, Sen needs some clarity in his life so instead of seeking professional help, he asks Rohit and Miguel instead.
