Note from Aimee J.: The cleanliness of your surroundings can be a reflection of your state of mind.
Action: It’s not easy, but it is important that you keep your area clean. Your bedroom, your work area, wherever you find yourself spending time. I have often found that the state of my room, my office, my kitchen and sometimes my car is a reflection of my state of mind. When I am stressed, I’ll have a pile of clothes on my bed, books strewn haphazardly on the floor, dirty dishes in the sink. Things get messy, it happens, but don’t let it go on for too long. Every day is a chance for you to take control back and get things in order again. Remember, it’s never too late to take control. Start with one thing, picking things up off the floor, and go from there. Slowly, but surely, you’ll get things back in order again. You’ll also find that your mind will start to feel better too. Win-win!
