Shownotes

Jade Leone Blackwater is a small business consultant based in the Pacific Northwest. Her purpose is to dig deep, get inspired, and bring back something awesome. Jade works side by side with business and product owners to whip operations, brands, marketing, and content into shape. She champions cross-team collaboration, strategic design thinking, and customer-focused innovation.

Founder of Brainripples (2004), Jade has hammered out strategies and content for 60+ organizations, including 3 Square Blocks, Evolving Earth Foundation, Impact Capital, Noise w/o Sound LLC, Seabeck Systems LLC, City of Seattle Office of Economic Development, South Park Neighborhood Association, TrueBlue Inc., and White Center Community Development Association. She served on the Board of Directors at Pennwriters, Inc. (2006-2010), supporting local member activities and driving membership development. A Jill-of-All-Trades, Jade provides operations management, administration, customer service, technical support, technical documentation, testing and QA, recruiting, mad professor lab assistance, a sounding board or reality check, mentorship, business analysis, brand management, product marketing management, web production, social media marketing, plenty of writing and editing, and of course—cheerleading.

In 2016 Jade cofounded Running Wild Press, an indie press specializing in cross-genre stories from emerging authors. She likes to shine a spotlight on new authors, and be among the first people to read fresh work—from dystopic short stories to kid-friendly cookbooks. Jade’s writing appears in Wild River Review, Line Zero, The Monongahela Review, as well as technical, trade, and scientific resources for popular audiences. Her poem “Shore” was the Spring 2011 Line Zero Winner in Poetry. She loves to contribute on projects that support healthy people, neighborhoods, and wildlands. If you can’t find Jade, she’s likely out getting dirty in the garden, or hiking the local forests.
