With our Nigerian Neighbours dealing with a series of unfortunate events including political unrest, the exit of a number of multi-national companies including Shoprite, The banning of Social Media Giant Twitter and the the decline of the Nigerian Niara, could we start to see Ghana become the new flag bearer of Technology in West Africa? 

Twitter recently made Ghana their headquarters despite most jobs on offer targeting Nigerians. However, this could all change if they are forced to change their strategy to cope with recent restrictions placed by the Nigerian Government. In addition, Ghana is far in developments with its own digital currency, the digital Cedi, and seems to have made a head start in becoming one of the first African countries to launch their own central bank digital currency, which could change everything in the business and Technology landscape not just in the country itself, but also across the African continent.
