When we believe our identity can be described as a collection of our current roles, we blind ourselves to what’s possible. We’re like a racehorse wearing blinkers who can only see the path straight in front of us. We’re missing the rest.

In this episode, I teach you how to overcome this narrow way of thinking by defining yourself in a totally different way. I end the episode with a series of questions for you to explore. This short exercise will help you change your ideas about the breadth of choices available to you.

This new way of identifying who you also gives you a rock-solid foundation to help you navigate through uncertain times.

My mission in this podcast is to help you find the freedom to become who you want. In every episode, I arm you with one useful idea or strategy you can use immediately to start taking your life in a beautiful, new direction.

To celebrate the first 4 weeks of my podcast launch, I’ve created a super fun contest. To enter the contest, you’ll need to subscribe for the podcast on Apple Podcasts and leave me a review. Before you sign out, make sure to take a photo of your review, then post it on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn and tag me (,, or send me an email to with a copy of your photo.

When I see your photo, I’ll add your name to a hat. I’ll be doing a weekly draw for a free one-hour dream analysis session. This session is something outside my normal coaching program, so it’s a rare opportunity. It’s a fun and useful way to access deeper truths about what you really want and the wisdom you need to know right now. If you’re not the kind of person who remembers your dreams, no problem! I have another fun way to apply the dream methodology to your waking thoughts and get similar insights. I guarantee you’ll be surprised at what you learn about yourself.

If you’re loving something you hear, have suggestions about topics you’d like me to explore, or have ideas about things I could improve, I’d love to hear from you. I want to make sure that I’m keeping my promise to provide you with practical information you can actually use each week.

I’m a former international tax lawyer and senior partner with Ernst & Young. I left the law in 2014 to learn how to paint. After a couple years painting and selling my work, I became passionate about helping other people who feel stuck in their careers and want to feel more personally fulfilled, invigorated and soul connected. I now spend my time painting, coaching and creating live events at the George Russell Academy of Creative Expansion in beautiful Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.
