Michael Tadross has played a leading role in the film industry for the past three decades. On this week’s episode, the decorated producer shares his journey from kicking around as a Brooklyn kid looking for ways to hustle all the way to the success he’s garnered today, and reflects on what those aspiring to the same might learn from his experience.
What began with a gritty eleven years as an assistant on sets eventually led to contracts with the industry’s largest production houses: Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, M.G.M. and Warner Bros. His most recent film is the Warner Bros. ‘Ocean’s 8,’ starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna, though his list of earlier films is nearly endless: ‘Hitch’ with Will Smith; Basic starring John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, ‘Indecent Proposal’ with Robert Redford and Demi Moore; Brenda Starr, featuring Brook Shields; ‘Sherlock Holmes’ starring Rovert Downey Jr. and Jude Law; ‘The Devil’s Advocate’ with Al Pacino and Keanu Reeves; ‘Run All Night’ with Liam Neeson. ‘Die Hard: With A Vengeance’ for 20th Century Fox starring Bruce Willis, Jeremy Irons and Samuel L. Jackson was the highest grossing worldwide film of 1995, and ‘I Am Legend’ starring Will Smith was one of the largest movies produced in New York City.
