Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Hello, everyone, everywhere.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Pastor Bob Thibodeau here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Welcome to the Kingdom Crossroads podcast.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Today we're so blessed.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You're joining us for our post election special with our good friend Scott Wright.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And we're going to be talking about the implications of this election that we just are now seeing the results of.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And Scott, thanks for joining us here.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I know you probably had a late night last night and I know I stayed up late and got up early and was surprised to see they'd already called it, but so, yeah, welcome back to the program.
Scott Wright:
Hey, it's great to be on, Bob.
Scott Wright:
And you know what, I don't even mind that I don't have a lot of sleep.
Scott Wright:
I, I actually didn't go to bed till after 2:00, so.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Ah, you waited till they actually called it then, huh?
Scott Wright:
Yeah, I made sure it's called and saw the acceptance, the celebration speech and all, all the different pieces to it.
Scott Wright:
So.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
They walked off the stage in, the commentators came back on, said, hey, we are going off the air.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
They had a long day.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, exactly.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
This morning I got up and I was pleasantly surprised and I watched a little bit of the Fox News one.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
But then I decided to go over to MSNBC and see what they were talking about because I figure if they're conceding, then it's official.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And yeah, they're, you know, immediately doing, you know, the post analysis and, you know, what the Harris administration did wrong, what it means and you know, and they were definitely not happy campers, let's put it like that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And, you know, they were definitely blaming the Democrats for, you know, dumping Biden and just dumping Harrison when nobody knew who she was.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That's what they kept talking about.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That's, that was their big mistake.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You know, nobody knew who she was.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
So, you know, with three months to go to the election, she had to introduce herself to America and that didn't work.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And, and then they started analyzing all the demographics, the Hispanics and the black men, you know, the male vote that they lost and, and said Democrats got a lot of work to do.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And that's, that's basically where they were leaving it at.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
But what's, let's take a look at your analysis.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Tell us what we got.
Scott Wright:
Well, can you see the other screen here?
Scott Wright:
Can you see my screen here?
Scott Wright:
All right, so as I was funneling through this last night, and I've got, not to be crazy, but I've actually got a lot of sheets of paper here.
Scott Wright:
I've got analysis on every potential swing state, how Their counties break down and those things.
Scott Wright:
And if you just want a political breakdown, the demographics, she, she really struggled to get that urban boat that she normally would get.
Scott Wright:
And what was interesting is a little bit of that urban boat went to Trump.
Scott Wright:
Donald Trump actually won a little bit of that.
Scott Wright:
The.
Scott Wright:
Oh yeah, in, in men of every demographic, young, old, ethnic groups, everything broke hard for Donald Trump, more so than they even thought it would.
Scott Wright:
And then the female vote, this was the big one, the female vote, even though she was winning, it wasn't at the numbers that they really thought it was going to happen.
Scott Wright:
That may have been the big one here, is that females rejected not only some of these really far left policies, and I know a few of those policies that especially suburban moms were against that went against Harris, but also I think the economy became a bigger issue in this than people wanted, you know, really thought.
Scott Wright:
I think at the end of the day, I really don't think it would have mattered if it had been Biden.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, I don't.
Scott Wright:
And even if he was, if he would have been, you know, obviously mentally, he's, you know, deteriorating in those years.
Scott Wright:
But, and you can tell that, I mean, that's, I don't think that's hard for people to see, but the economy itself is what I think drove the election.
Scott Wright:
t reminded me a little bit of:
Speaker C:
Yep, yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And, you know, and:
Scott Wright:
That also happened in:
Scott Wright:
That's how Obama won, was the economy.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And I think that was the big thing for most people was, you know, that question that Ronald Reagan first posted.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Are you better off today than you were four years ago?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
If not, give me a shot.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And they did.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, they did.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And he turned it around.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And that is basically the same, same motivation, I think, with this election, you know, that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I mean, I, because I was watching some interviews with, you know, the urban areas and they were all saying the same thing, you know, that I can't, I gotta work three jobs now where before I just had my one job and we were better off.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And that's where we're at.
Scott Wright:
And it's gotten to the point where it's almost impossible to raise a family.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, it's, you know, you get more than a, you start getting kids in a high school, then all of a sudden you've got, I mean, their bills go up, they just do naturally get more expensive.
Scott Wright:
Middle school, high school, all their activities, everything, groceries.
Scott Wright:
It's the family part just gets more and more expensive, you know, vehicles and, you know, all that all the different stuff.
Scott Wright:
And yeah it, the American dream is becoming the American nightmare.
Scott Wright:
It really is.
Scott Wright:
You know, I'm looking at like I'm looking in Nevada.
Scott Wright:
I think that no tax on tips may actually win him Nevada and you know, Arizona, the immigration issue, which immigration is also a big deal in Nevada.
Scott Wright:
He's, he's up right now by almost 60,000 votes in Nevada with 84% reporting in Arizona's got a lot to count and he's up by over a hundred thousand.
Scott Wright:
So Maricopa county is, which is the big county in Arizona is actually breaking his way.
Speaker C:
Wow.
Scott Wright:
Which is pretty unusual.
Scott Wright:
I'm looking at the county breakdown.
Scott Wright:
For instance, Clark County.
Scott Wright:
He's almost winning in Clark County.
Scott Wright:
You know, she needs, she needs to win that county by at least about 9 to 10% to win Nevada.
Scott Wright:
It's not even, she's not even up by 1%.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
And they've got a lot of, that's reporting but some of these like there's a, there's some heavy Republican areas.
Scott Wright:
They've still got a lot to count.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Scott Wright:
In that state.
Scott Wright:
And Brown is up in the Senate race so he's going to have a shot at winning that race.
Scott Wright:
Let me just break over here to the center race which you know, for, for people watching, if you know anything about politics.
Scott Wright:
The, it's very important to have a mandate and that mandate also includes your Congress.
Scott Wright:
Senate is going to be controlled by Republicans and by.
Scott Wright:
How much is going to matter if you have a, like you have a 52 lead.
Scott Wright:
You gotta make sure every Republican comes with you on every vote, you know, or you're fighting.
Scott Wright:
Your vice president may have to step in on a 50, 50 vote.
Scott Wright:
But if you've got a 55, 56 person majority, they still have a shot at getting that many.
Scott Wright:
You can, you maybe can see that happening.
Scott Wright:
So like in Nevada, Brown's up, you know, it looks like by almost a thousand votes.
Scott Wright:
So they're, it's pretty close.
Scott Wright:
A thousand votes.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
A lot to be counted.
Scott Wright:
There's still 16 of that Ricky Lake or Carrie Lake, excuse me.
Scott Wright:
She's down but she's not down by that much.
Scott Wright:
When you, when you consider it.
Scott Wright:
It's like 60.
Scott Wright:
She's down by about 61,000 votes.
Scott Wright:
But there's some heavy Republican areas that haven't been counted yet.
Scott Wright:
And so there's, she's got a shot at winning Arizona.
Scott Wright:
Wisconsin's within 27,000 votes.
Scott Wright:
I think it's hoped.
Scott Wright:
He's, he's barely down to Baldwin and then Michigan, same thing.
Scott Wright:
Rogers is barely down to Slotkin by 4,500 votes.
Scott Wright:
McCormick is beating Casey in Pennsylvania, and then in Montana, she is beating Tester.
Scott Wright:
So there's, there's, there is a good potential here to pick up about three, four, maybe as many as six more seats.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
Give them a really good mandate for governing.
Scott Wright:
And Republicans are projected to take the House, and they certainly have control of the Supreme Court.
Scott Wright:
So it, you know, what does that mean for us here?
Scott Wright:
I think the ideals.
Scott Wright:
And I know, I know a lot of evangelicals didn't vote in this election because of the abortion issue.
Scott Wright:
You know, to me, freedom of religion and the expression of it without being hindered by law was the big issue if.
Scott Wright:
And that is a Christian issue.
Scott Wright:
And I don't think people saw that.
Scott Wright:
You know, they just.
Scott Wright:
The problem is sometimes as evangelicals, as Christians, we, We get too caught up in one issue.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
You can see the whole picture.
Scott Wright:
And the thing is, again, I would say this to Christians, your states now have the option on abortion.
Scott Wright:
It's not the federal government.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Exactly.
Scott Wright:
Because Florida turned down the abortion issue yesterday.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Scott Wright:
That was a big deal.
Scott Wright:
So they're getting out to vote.
Scott Wright:
They put Trump in office because that was a.
Scott Wright:
He ran away with Florida.
Scott Wright:
I mean, my gosh, he's winning by almost 14%, and he's winning by almost 10% in Texas.
Scott Wright:
So that when we, when we look at this, we get.
Scott Wright:
We are.
Scott Wright:
Excuse me.
Scott Wright:
I think he is one.
Scott Wright:
About 14%.
Scott Wright:
I don't know.
Scott Wright:
Senate race.
Scott Wright:
But when you look at that, your vote matters.
Scott Wright:
And it's in, in what I would encourage Christians is even on the abortion issue, if your state starts to vote on that, your vote's going to matter even more because it's going to be a smaller number of people.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Scott Wright:
That are going to do this.
Scott Wright:
And so we need to be.
Scott Wright:
We need to be locked in.
Scott Wright:
God has given us.
Scott Wright:
And I've, I posted this on Twitter.
Scott Wright:
God has given us the right and the privilege of voting.
Scott Wright:
It's a gift, and we need to be good stewards of that.
Scott Wright:
Yep, we did.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Now, you talk about every vote matters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I ran for city council when I lived in Louisiana.
Scott Wright:
Oh, wow.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And I lost by seven votes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
If four people would have voted the other way.
Scott Wright:
I don't mean to laugh, but that's, like, really close.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
If I, if four people would have voted the other way out of one.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Wow.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And so every vote matters.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Living example.
Scott Wright:
That's like Dixville Notch in New Hampshire.
Scott Wright:
You know, those are the first six votes that got counted.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And it was a tie.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Three.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Three.
Scott Wright:
I mean, somebody's got.
Scott Wright:
Coming and break the tie, Right?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I mean, Myrtle, I told you you should have gone to the polls.
Scott Wright:
Actually, he.
Scott Wright:
I'm on the right screen now.
Scott Wright:
He actually did win Texas by almost 14.
Scott Wright:
I thought he did, and I realized I was looking wrong screen.
Scott Wright:
And then he won almost 14% in Florida, too.
Scott Wright:
I mean, everybody was saying it was going to be close in Texas.
Scott Wright:
It's not close in Texas.
Scott Wright:
And I mean, I'm looking at New Jersey.
Scott Wright:
There's a big backlash here because if you look at this, he's only losing New Jersey by like a little under 5%.
Scott Wright:
Who would have thought that?
Scott Wright:
New Jersey.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
And then New York, he's only losing by a little under 11%.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, that's unheard of.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Go to Maryland.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
See, that's how it usually is in the, in the liberal states.
Scott Wright:
Yes.
Scott Wright:
67.
Scott Wright:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
Well, go.
Scott Wright:
I'll tell you what, go to Illinois.
Speaker C:
Yeah, she.
Scott Wright:
She didn't.
Scott Wright:
She only won by 8%.
Scott Wright:
That's usually like 18%.
Scott Wright:
You know, add 10 to that.
Scott Wright:
Or, I mean, another one was Virginia.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
No, he, he's cleared the 2 million votes in Virginia.
Scott Wright:
That was, I mean, boy, when they had about 60 of the vote counted in, he was still.
Scott Wright:
I think he was winning at that point.
Scott Wright:
It was close, but, I mean, even Virginia, he's going to.
Scott Wright:
It's going to be probably roughly around 5%.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, that was a very competitive race.
Scott Wright:
I honestly, I'll be honest with you, I think, and the Virginian Republicans, I know, we're screaming this.
Scott Wright:
I think he would have won Virginia had he, like, campaigned there like he did in Pennsylvania.
Scott Wright:
I just, I think what they did is they strategized certain states and they said, okay, we're going to make these states our plan and any other outliers we might, you know, give a little attention to.
Scott Wright:
They didn't give enough attention to win Virginia.
Scott Wright:
Republicans, I know, did a really good job of getting out the early vote and mobilizing their people more so than they had.
Scott Wright:
And Governor Youngkin, President Trump still needs to thank him because just like Governor Kemp in Georgia, they really did.
Scott Wright:
Governor Youngkin did him a lot of favors in there.
Scott Wright:
Excuse me.
Scott Wright:
During that campaign, so the, that vote would be increased.
Scott Wright:
I do believe, had they campaigned there more and they didn't, you know, they, they spent their money wisely.
Scott Wright:
I get it.
Scott Wright:
They made sure they won.
Scott Wright:
And, and that's what you want to do.
Scott Wright:
New Hampshire could have been even closer.
Scott Wright:
I mean, he's only down what, 23,000 votes.
Scott Wright:
So again, have they campaigned harder?
Scott Wright:
The problem with doing ads in, in New Hampshire, and I don't wait too much about this stuff, but is the expense of those ads.
Scott Wright:
Those ad one of the most expensive, expensive media ad buy.
Scott Wright:
And I know Harris had to run ads in there to try to win that.
Scott Wright:
I mean, look at her.
Scott Wright:
I mean, she only is winning by 23,000 votes with 90% reporting in.
Scott Wright:
So it's, yeah, there's, I, I mean, I'm looking at certain states like New Jersey, Illinois, some of those that are closer that you're like, whoa, you know, like Minnesota, she's only at 4% and.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That was her vice president state.
Scott Wright:
Huh?
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That was Walt's state, Minnesota.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
So you think that would have been a blowout.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, exactly.
Scott Wright:
So, but, you know, we're sitting, I'm sitting here looking at all of this and yeah, and Tim Walsh is probably the reason it's even that big of a spread in Minnesota.
Scott Wright:
But had, had they campaigned harder in some of those, those areas where it's really close, he probably would have won.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, but they just, they didn't spend the advertising dollars and they, you know, the real focus was Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Well, in the few minutes we got left, let's talk about what this holds for the future now.
Scott Wright:
Well, I think the first thing that this is going to do is projecting that Republicans win the House, which that's what it looks like is going to happen.
Scott Wright:
And, and they're in, most media outlets are projecting that and experts are with the Senate and obviously the Supreme Court, you know, and he could end up replacing a couple of Supreme Court justices the next couple years.
Scott Wright:
And that's why keeping that Senate mandate for both, both these two years and next two years.
Scott Wright:
That's why I want him to run up the score and the Senate.
Scott Wright:
That's why he needs, he needs to do that.
Scott Wright:
I think what the projection for America is not only economic situation, but calming the waters around the world down.
Scott Wright:
I mean, the world's on the brink of being on fire.
Scott Wright:
It is.
Scott Wright:
And President Trump will, the one thing that he will do is he will really work hard to get and I'm guessing he'll start working here on the ground in the next couple of weeks to start getting people to the table and getting the situations over in Ukraine, in Middle east and other places to calm down.
Scott Wright:
And, you know, hopefully that'll also, I'm sure, I know China's been posturing.
Scott Wright:
I would guess this is going to calm them down when he starts to threaten 5 and 600% tariffs on them if they don't.
Scott Wright:
So we'll.
Scott Wright:
He'll just run their military completely out of money is what he'll do.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And the, the important thing is here, he doesn't have to run again.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
We can't run again.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
So now he doesn't have to worry about, well, if I do this, it's going to hurt me in my next election.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You know, he just gets to do it.
Scott Wright:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
He could just govern and, you know, much like what Reagan was able to do in the late 80s.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
Last couple of years.
Scott Wright:
To do the things, you know, especially against what the Soviet Union and negotiating with Gorbachev, Gorchev, however you want to pronounce the name.
Scott Wright:
As he was negotiating, he didn't have to worry about rerunning and, you know, the campaigning part of it and setting himself up to campaign wasn't something he had to worry about.
Scott Wright:
So like you said, you have to be careful with your legislation, how you do things.
Scott Wright:
Gotta be a little more cognizant of it when you're gonna have to run again.
Scott Wright:
Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I think the House is close.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
If we, if they take the House and it's close.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
He got.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You still got another election coming up in two years.
Scott Wright:
Yes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
So he does have to worry about that.
Scott Wright:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
So he'll really have a strong.
Scott Wright:
He'll really have 18 months to govern and then there'll be six months of campaigning for all those seats.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
I will say this.
Scott Wright:
I think he has a really good chance of running the table with a lot of legislation that he wants to get done.
Scott Wright:
And I know immigration's a big deal, but also I'm hoping this will calm the waters of a lot of these really out there social policies.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
It's time.
Scott Wright:
And I think America spoke to that here.
Scott Wright:
I know the abortion issue is a big deal, and I agree.
Scott Wright:
I believe that it is.
Scott Wright:
But the states now have the decision on that.
Scott Wright:
And so evangelicals, I'm going to encourage you, contact your state legislatures.
Scott Wright:
They're the ones that control this.
Scott Wright:
You know, some places have a.
Scott Wright:
Where you can get enough signatures, you can do things to get an amendment or you can outright vote on it.
Scott Wright:
You know, need to put pressure on your legislatures.
Scott Wright:
I think, I think evangelicals just want to sit back and rely on everybody to do everything right.
Scott Wright:
Just say, hey, they're going to do it.
Scott Wright:
Right.
Scott Wright:
And that's what we expect, but not do anything about it.
Scott Wright:
That is not our calling.
Scott Wright:
Our calling is to be active.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
And we're going to have to rise up and be active.
Scott Wright:
If all the evangelicals in America rise up and be active in politics, what you've been watching since 08, since President Obama took office in 09.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
From that point forward, that's just.
Scott Wright:
This stuff has been pushed.
Scott Wright:
We could rewrite a lot of that.
Scott Wright:
There could be some pushback.
Scott Wright:
You're not gonna be able to get rid of all of it, unfortunately.
Scott Wright:
But we.
Scott Wright:
We can put our foot down.
Scott Wright:
There is enough evangelical Christians that if all of us would get out and be active and vote and do what we had to do and stand up for what is right, it would.
Scott Wright:
The politicians are right now in a position to listen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
And we're in a position to make them listen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You know, one of the big things was he said day one, he's gonna, you know, shut down the border.
Scott Wright:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
What I would love to see.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Oh, man, it would just be like fingernails on a chalkboard for all the liberals and stuff.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I know.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
But at the inauguration, raises his hands as I do, and they bring out executive order number one, and he signs it in the inauguration.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That would be awesome.
Scott Wright:
Right there.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And so.
Scott Wright:
So how.
Scott Wright:
You know how that'll happen?
Scott Wright:
They'll do their speech.
Scott Wright:
He'll take his little ride down Pennsylvania Avenue.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
And then he'll.
Scott Wright:
He'll walk into the White House, and then they put all those executive orders in front of him and they take pictures while he signs them all.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
But imagine doing it at inauguration, you know, as a gift of work.
Scott Wright:
Up to the camera so they can all.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Exactly.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I think that would be a photo op.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That would be.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You know, you talk about rile.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Riling up feathers.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Oh, I mean that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You know.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I mean, think about it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Is it, you know, 10 seconds after he is sworn in, you know, he's giving his speech because.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Bring that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Bring it.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I told you I'd do this on day one.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I'm gonna do it in the first 10 minutes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Hold it up.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You know, it's a border patrol.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Shut it down.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
I mean, that would be awesome.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That would be awesome.
Scott Wright:
Well, you saw what he's gonna do, though.
Scott Wright:
He's.
Scott Wright:
He's negotiating already with the Mexican government.
Scott Wright:
He's already told them they're gonna.
Scott Wright:
Their tariffs are coming if they do not on all products.
Scott Wright:
If they don't.
Scott Wright:
If they don't start help monitoring this board.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Well, you see that big mass of people coming up, you know, because they were afraid this was going to happen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
They're trying to get here before he.
Scott Wright:
Takes office, you know, they get their freebies.
Scott Wright:
But a couple of weeks before he takes office, they'll leave.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
Because the freebies aren't going to be there anymore.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And that's got to be good for the one or two ways, you know, the major metropolitan areas that have been complaining the government's not helping them take care of these people.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And there has been money flowing to them that gets shut off.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You know, that's gonna put even more pressure on the metropolitan areas now, you know, because they don't have any money coming in to help at that point.
Scott Wright:
There's a big.
Scott Wright:
There's a big.
Scott Wright:
I've watched this.
Scott Wright:
There's been a lot of.
Scott Wright:
A lot of touting that what's probably going to happen is a lot of them will leave.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
On their own.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Because the freebies are gone.
Scott Wright:
The freebies are going to go away.
Scott Wright:
And they may want to, you know, if they're going to walk that.
Scott Wright:
Which.
Scott Wright:
Man, I hate that for those.
Scott Wright:
A lot of those people, they're gonna be walking this in the winter.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Well, hopefully all I gotta do is get down to Mexico and.
Scott Wright:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
So then the weather's a lot better.
Scott Wright:
I.
Scott Wright:
But, yeah, I'm kind of wondering if there won't already be a negotiated.
Scott Wright:
Something negotiated with the.
Scott Wright:
With the Mexican government by the time he even gets in office.
Scott Wright:
Like, they're gonna go, yeah, we can't have these tariffs.
Scott Wright:
I'm wondering if they'll go ahead and do something, if they'll start doing their part.
Speaker C:
Yeah.
Scott Wright:
And really what the Mexican government's got to do is they've got to go shut off their southern border.
Scott Wright:
That's their first step.
Scott Wright:
If they do that, then that's going to slow down immigration into the country because a lot of people are funneling up from those other countries through Mexico.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Speaker C:
Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Well, Scott, I appreciate you taking the time today to get up early.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
You stayed up late, got up early.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Come back on and talk about the results that we've seen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And I say all we can do is pray now.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Pray that, you know, God's will has been done.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That's been my prayer all along.
Scott Wright:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
That's been mine as well.
Scott Wright:
Each of these pieces and praying.
Scott Wright:
He praying over it and praying over all the different elections.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
If Kamala would have won, I'd have been satisfied with that, too.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Because my prayer was only your will be done.
Scott Wright:
Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And so I turn it all over to him.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And when I got up this morning, I was pleasantly surprised.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
But like I said, if it had gone the other way.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
We'd still been having this conversation and about what it looks like for the next few years anyway here in the United States.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
But I said, I know you stayed up late, got up early, so I do appreciate you coming on and sharing your insights with us.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And all we can do is pray.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That's all we can do.
Scott Wright:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
And you know what was interesting?
Scott Wright:
And.
Scott Wright:
ut on my TV screen, it was at:
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Wow.
Scott Wright:
Well, 47.
Scott Wright:
He became the 47th president.
Speaker C:
Wow.
Scott Wright:
Called it.
Scott Wright:
So I kind of found that ironic.
Scott Wright:
idn't come on my screen until:
Speaker C:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And that's what they were all talking about was, you know, he had a whole North Carolina, and then either Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Wisconsin, he'd have to take.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And he took two out of the three instead of just one out of the three.
Scott Wright:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
So that was.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That was enough.
Scott Wright:
And he'll take Alaska, which will put him at 280.
Scott Wright:
Yeah, he's probably going to win Nevada and Arizona and Michigan, too.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
So put him over 300.
Scott Wright:
He'll be at 312.
Scott Wright:
Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
I've already done the math like a hundred times.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Yeah.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Scott Wright:
And he's all right, brother.
Scott Wright:
And he's winning the popular vote by over 5 million votes.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
There you go.
Scott Wright:
Which I think that's a big deal, too.
Speaker C:
Yep.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
All right.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Well, folks, that's all time we have for today.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Like I said, pray.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That's all we do.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Lord, your will be done.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Give him wisdom.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Let's pray right now.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you and praise you that we see your hand at work.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And we praise you, Father, that it was always in your hand for this to be the outcome.
Scott Wright:
Amen.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Our prayer was, your will be done.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And it looks like this is in place.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And Lord, we thank you now that you continue to lead, guide, and direct the new 47th President of the United States and his administration.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Lord, we pray for Congress.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
We pray, Lord, that your will be done in their house, in the individual houses.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And, Lord, we just praise you that.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That at all times this nation needs to lift up your name in this nation, that your will be done in this land just as it is in heaven.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
And to you, Father, we give all honor, glory and praise in Jesus name.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
Amen folks.
Pastor Bob Thibodeau:
That's all the time we have for today for Scott Wright, myself, Pastor Bob, reminding you to be blessed in all that you do.
