What if the true gifts of Christmas don’t arrive wrapped under a tree, but unfold quietly on the side of a highway, through one decision to stop, turn around, and give?
We’re going back to a story shared on The Ellen Show back in 2017. One that begins with a man named Chris Wright… and a woman named TunDe Hector, walking alone with a gas can. It was a cold Sunday morning. He could’ve kept driving. But he didn’t. He turned around. He gave what he had. And that choice started a story only God could write.
We’ll look at:
How one small act of kindness; giving a ride, a tank of gas, the only money in a wallet, can reflect the heart of Christmas
Why we often overlook “side‑of‑the‑road people,” and what happens when we choose to see them instead
How the story mirrors the visit of the Magi; outsiders, bearing gifts, following a star, responding to God’s invitation
How ordinary kindness becomes worship when offered in faith and love
Scripture (NIV):
Matthew 25:40 – “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
