Lately, it seems like the world is spinning at such a pace, as if out of our control, out of our reach, out of something.
Stories and narratives are being put out by so many and with questionable truth underguarding these “facts” being released. Are they real? Is this a credible source? Do credible sources truly exist any more? And what are the ramifications of all these words, this information being released, for us and for future generations?
Today’s Victory in Mind episode is about the power of our words, what we chose to release or not release into our atmosphere. We are able to shape and control the narrative of our worlds and influence the world of others. The question then remains regarding the content of what we chose to say as to whether or not we are putting out a fire or are we putting a fire out?

ViM - 21 | Do you know the enormous power of your words?[:
[00:00:13] Are you concerned about your future? The state of the world and how to best navigate the options or lack thereof that life's throwing your way? Well, welcome to Victory in Mind. [00:01:10] Now sound is heard, auditory, but think about it. We also feel it. Think of when we say pulsating sound or when you get close to an amplifier, you can feel the rhythm of the beat. Sounds are tied to emotions. The sound of carefree laughter eliciting inner joy. The feeling of terror when you hear the growl of a bear, a lion when out camping or on safari, the sounds of unexplained or unexpected gunfire.[:
[00:02:30] The content of our message, our words become weighty and impact us, not just in today and our tomorrow but consequences to subsequent generations cannot be ruled out. The sound you release will be you putting out a fire or you putting a fire out.[:
The idiom, to put out the fire, means when [00:03:00] you're going to try and calm things down to avoid a catastrophe or to deal with an emergency or urgent matter, rather than ordinary day-to-day tasks. With this in mind, think of firefighters or anyone else in the midst of dealing with a fire and their quest to put out that fire.[:
Now, no matter where you live in today's world, it seems like the atmosphere is highly charged. Where the comments we make, the words we choose to release into the atmosphere have the potential to be the tinder that causes an explosion or start a fire. In our world [00:04:00] today, as we as a society face seemingly increasing volatile situations, my question to you is: What kind of fire are you putting out or starting?[:
[00:04:47] Or, are you making a conscious choice to help remove the oxygen or heat or fuel from an already volatile situation? Are you putting out a fire or are you putting a [00:05:00] fire out?[:
[00:05:19] Let me shed some light on this.
So there is a proverb in the Bible, Proverbs 18: 20 - 21 that says, "Sharing words of wisdom is satisfying to you inner being. It encourages you to know that you've changed someone else's life. Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life. And the talkative person will reap the consequences."[:
[00:06:28] How we control what we think and say will come out in the words, the statements that we make towards ourselves, towards others. Our words, the sounds we utter, once released, can never be retracted.[:
[00:07:11] So today, I want to ask you, what is the fire you are giving out? Are your words a source of destruction or uplifting to the soul? Now hear me on this, I'm not talking about being all Pollyanna and sugary sweet falsities and niceties. No. I'm referring to speaking truth versus tearing down humanity by uttering words, phrases and statements, which could be immediately incendiary or, over time, gather momentum and become a boulder of pain to any immediate target, noting that there is collateral damage when words are released. We are dealing with people's emotions, their beliefs, their past, present, and future. What we release with our mouths will not [00:08:00] only impact that person, but others as well.
So I reiterate my question to you today. Are you putting out a fire or are you putting a fire out? You have the power to direct the impact, the influence of your words. Once uttered, they cannot be returned.[:
