Episode 15: The All Encompassing Struggles of Infertility
I’m honored to have such an amazing guest speaking about a topic that is now very personal to me. In this episode I share about my own infertility journey and how it’s impacted my career path. I’ve wrestled with sharing this so publicly, but when I first went through fertility treatments I couldn’t find many resources about this topic and work. I want to help other women who are going through an infertility diagnosis and trying to figure out how to stay sane and just make it to work every day. This is by far the hardest problem I’ve ever faced. If you personally don’t struggle with infertility, the data shows that you know someone who is struggling or has in the past (one in eight couples has some type of fertility issue), so it’s important to know how to talk about it and support other women.
Camille discusses how to help an employee or coworker going through infertility treatments, how to handle your boss if you’re about to go through fertility treatments yourself and how to talk about this sensitive topic with others.
