Speaker:It's Sue and thanks for joining me here today.
Speaker:If you haven't been to a bash before hold tight,
Speaker:you're going to get the full experience in just a minute.
Speaker:First, we're going to start off with a discussion on the
Speaker:differences between features and benefits.
Speaker:These words are often used interchangeably.
Speaker:When in reality,
Speaker:they relay separate types of information and should be used for
Speaker:different purposes.
Speaker:By the time we're done,
Speaker:you'll understand features and benefits completely,
Speaker:and be able to apply this newfound knowledge into your business.
Speaker:After the training we'll get into showcases from other handmade product
Speaker:makers, just like you they'll share some information about their business
Speaker:and you have the opportunity to see how others present themselves
Speaker:and also get to support others through the discounts they offer,
Speaker:or potentially find a collaboration partner.
Speaker:The last bash resulted in some new wholesale orders and of
Speaker:course, individual product sales.
Speaker:And yes,
Speaker:you can be part of a bash to this in particular
Speaker:had many connections in ideas,
Speaker:bantered back and forth after we turned off the recording.
Speaker:So showing up for a bash has even more value than
Speaker:getting exposure to all our podcasts listeners.
Speaker:As long as you're an established handmade product business,
Speaker:I invite you to book your spot go-to gift of biz
Speaker:on rapt.com
Speaker:forward slash bash and find one of the bashes that fit
Speaker:your schedule.
Speaker:Hope to see you in an upcoming bash.
Speaker:And now let's get into the show.
Speaker:Hey, there it's Sue and welcome to another gift.
Speaker:BizBash I'm here with a bunch of amazing handmade creators who
Speaker:are going to tell you all about their business a little
Speaker:bit later,
Speaker:but first I'm going to get into a short 10 minute
Speaker:training talking about a topic that sometimes comes up,
Speaker:but I don't know that we always all get it because
Speaker:I see this happening all the time.
Speaker:And I personally consciously have to focus and do this right
Speaker:myself too.
Speaker:So I'm hands up that I'm doing this training and I'm
Speaker:listening it to in myself.
Speaker:Well, and this has to do with the difference between features
Speaker:and benefits,
Speaker:understanding the difference between these two and consciously ensuring that you
Speaker:are focusing your communication on one versus another continually lead to
Speaker:the difference between you actually making the sale or not.
Speaker:There's a little bit of a psychological underpinning to all of
Speaker:this, and it's just human nature.
Speaker:So when I say it,
Speaker:don't be like,
Speaker:oh, not me,
Speaker:not me.
Speaker:I think it's everybody.
Speaker:And that is we're all a little bit selfish.
Speaker:We all perk our ears up and pay more attention when
Speaker:we can relate to the topic because there's something in it
Speaker:for us,
Speaker:there's some value it's hit a cord or a sensitive point
Speaker:or something that's important to us.
Speaker:And we all pay more attention when that's the case.
Speaker:It really applies to everything.
Speaker:Even if you think of,
Speaker:I know within our community of makers,
Speaker:we're all such giving people.
Speaker:I mean,
Speaker:that's a characteristic.
Speaker:I see all over a lot of us volunteer or we
Speaker:give to charities that type of a thing.
Speaker:There's still an element of self fulfillment in that.
Speaker:I mean,
Speaker:think about it.
Speaker:The charities that you decide to put your time and energy
Speaker:towards or money towards you are getting something back for that.
Speaker:It's either,
Speaker:this is something that you care so much about and believe
Speaker:in so much,
Speaker:it's your way of helping advance the cause it might be
Speaker:a family member who has a disease.
Speaker:So you're helping raise money for something that is really,
Speaker:really important to you.
Speaker:Or you just want to feel good about being a person
Speaker:who gives all of that is still self-fulfilling.
Speaker:And not in a bad way.
Speaker:I'm not saying in a bad way,
Speaker:but I wanted to give this kind of an example,
Speaker:because then when you relate it over to business,
Speaker:you can see that in even a very giving situation where
Speaker:we pay more attention when there's something in it for us,
Speaker:think of how much more it's like that when we're selling,
Speaker:when the stakes are maybe a little less high,
Speaker:especially if we're buying,
Speaker:if it's true of our outreach and our service efforts,
Speaker:it's even more true when we think of our buying behaviors.
Speaker:Think about that a little bit,
Speaker:how you are in when your ears perk up and you
Speaker:pay more attention.
Speaker:Now, if that's true for us,
Speaker:then flip that it has to be true for our customers
Speaker:too. So the trick here is that you want to be
Speaker:talking about things that are important to them that are going
Speaker:to peak their interest that are truly things that are in
Speaker:it for them to get them to pay attention to you.
Speaker:And attention then comes through first attraction,
Speaker:getting the attention and then focusing on benefits because that's what
Speaker:pulls them in.
Speaker:And then features later,
Speaker:I think to make this the most clear,
Speaker:let's define what features are versus benefits.
Speaker:And I'm going to start with the one that I feel
Speaker:is the most important.
Speaker:The first one you want to be bringing people in with,
Speaker:and that is benefits benefits.
Speaker:And this can be tricky when we're product based businesses,
Speaker:benefits are the value,
Speaker:the purpose,
Speaker:what your product provides,
Speaker:how does it help enrich your customer's life?
Speaker:What's the change that I would experience by having your product
Speaker:versus not having your product now again,
Speaker:because it's a tangible product that kind of in the beginning,
Speaker:it might be a little bit hard to figure out.
Speaker:If you make a consumable product,
Speaker:let's say baked goods,
Speaker:you might be like,
Speaker:well, what's the benefit of this beautiful cake that I made?
Speaker:Well, it could be gorgeous enhancement to a wedding,
Speaker:making a special day,
Speaker:all the more significant if you make jewelry,
Speaker:it could be when you put on jewelry that you love,
Speaker:you feel more confident and bold and are ready to present
Speaker:yourself in the best light to the world.
Speaker:That's a benefit of the jewelry,
Speaker:pampering products.
Speaker:If you use certain healing ingredients in the products,
Speaker:I'm getting a health benefit then from a product.
Speaker:So think about what you offer and what are the benefits.
Speaker:It's the value,
Speaker:how it helps me,
Speaker:how I change by having it,
Speaker:the feelings I'm getting switching over to features features are the
Speaker:things that we easily know.
Speaker:This is what we normally will talk about.
Speaker:The details of our product,
Speaker:the size,
Speaker:the materials we use,
Speaker:the shape,
Speaker:shipping returns,
Speaker:all of those things.
Speaker:Those are features of your product.
Speaker:I'm going to give you an example that I see often.
Speaker:So this is one that could be gray area,
Speaker:but if you really think about it,
Speaker:it's not.
Speaker:How about American may everyone loves to talk about how it's
Speaker:American made,
Speaker:right? American made is a feature you're sourcing and you're making
Speaker:your product in America.
Speaker:The benefit is reduction of carbon footprint,
Speaker:right? That's what American made is doing.
Speaker:That might be a cure or about to a customer.
Speaker:Okay. So if there's any question with that,
Speaker:I'm going to ask for questions later,
Speaker:I'm going to get through everything,
Speaker:but I'm guessing that it's pretty clear.
Speaker:I'm looking at all your guys' faces.
Speaker:It looks like everything's pretty clear.
Speaker:So the problem comes in that when you go to start
Speaker:promoting your products,
Speaker:most of the time we lead and we talk about features.
Speaker:So we'll talk about how I hand,
Speaker:make my beads and they're made of glass and,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:whatever, whatever,
Speaker:whatever. Well,
Speaker:that's great.
Speaker:But why do I care about that?
Speaker:More than somebody else who makes feeded glass jewelry,
Speaker:right? So when you only speak features,
Speaker:what ends up happening is you're putting yourself right up against
Speaker:anybody else who does any other type of product and or
Speaker:Anita in your case,
Speaker:your kind of product flash service or services that you provide.
Speaker:You're putting yourself right up against those people.
Speaker:And there's really nothing to separate you.
Speaker:One from another.
Speaker:I want you to start thinking about features.
Speaker:What is the value?
Speaker:How are you different?
Speaker:And what do you provide to your customer?
Speaker:That's different over and above what the product is,
Speaker:how it looks,
Speaker:the colors,
Speaker:it comes in the sizes,
Speaker:et cetera.
Speaker:Now your actions with this would be,
Speaker:this is what you start with.
Speaker:As I'd mentioned before,
Speaker:that's how you grab the attention because you can't really talk
Speaker:to people about anything,
Speaker:unless you've got their attention and you get their attention to
Speaker:a deeper level.
Speaker:When you're talking benefits,
Speaker:then you can go into the features.
Speaker:And that then brings you over the finish line,
Speaker:right? Someone decides that they love the handmade knitted,
Speaker:shawls that you make.
Speaker:Maybe you have a certain portion of your sales that go
Speaker:to a certain cause that's really dear to you.
Speaker:And you tell the story about why.
Speaker:So they're like,
Speaker:oh my gosh,
Speaker:I want the Sol because I feel like I'm doing something
Speaker:to help this cause.
Speaker:So that's a benefit,
Speaker:right? And then the fact furthermore of the yarn that she
Speaker:uses, et cetera,
Speaker:et cetera,
Speaker:that's what pushes them over the finish line that they decide
Speaker:they're going to buy from you.
Speaker:Where do you put this information?
Speaker:Okay. So if you're with me up to this point and
Speaker:you understand benefits,
Speaker:bring in the attention and grab somebody and then the features,
Speaker:bring it over the finish line.
Speaker:Where do you put all this information?
Speaker:So let's talk about that for a quick second on your
Speaker:website. So e-commerce when people land on your website,
Speaker:think in your mind's eye.
Speaker:What you've got there.
Speaker:Now the very first thing they see,
Speaker:okay. Does it have any benefit statements there?
Speaker:A lot of people,
Speaker:when you go to your website,
Speaker:the first thing you see is maybe a nice picture showing
Speaker:what you do,
Speaker:right. Are we just talking about the jewelry or does it
Speaker:have some type of a benefit statement?
Speaker:There also bounce rates are a big deal with websites,
Speaker:right? Someone comes to the website,
Speaker:they've got to make sure that they have landed in the
Speaker:right place.
Speaker:They know,
Speaker:and like what they see and if they don't,
Speaker:they bounce a benefit statement,
Speaker:front and center will help keep people on.
Speaker:They'll be like,
Speaker:oh, and then they look more and they might scroll down.
Speaker:Or they might go through like the navigation at the top
Speaker:and look further.
Speaker:Okay, that's what you want to do with your website in
Speaker:social. And those of you who have been in my ecosphere
Speaker:for awhile,
Speaker:know, I harp on this all the time.
Speaker:What most of the time we're doing as product businesses is
Speaker:we are selling,
Speaker:you guys are going to know this on your paws.
Speaker:I make these gorgeous coasters right there,
Speaker:$10 for four,
Speaker:go buy them here.
Speaker:That's what we normally do.
Speaker:Right? Product price.
Speaker:Here's where you go buy versus pulling in the benefits.
Speaker:When some of the benefits can also be a story that
Speaker:you tell how you started the company,
Speaker:what it's done for your business.
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:you're bringing them in on a deeper level.
Speaker:So some of that benefit,
Speaker:especially on social also is endearing people to you.
Speaker:Okay. And content for makers.
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:I've got a ton of pre-written lines that you can use
Speaker:for identifying things that you can talk about on social,
Speaker:but you want to be doing benefits.
Speaker:This is just coming up to me right now.
Speaker:But my pillow,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:the guy with my pillow,
Speaker:he talks about how he was in jail.
Speaker:He was a druggie.
Speaker:He like had a hard life and he turned himself around.
Speaker:He doesn't hide that.
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:that's part of the benefit.
Speaker:You're supporting him when you buy his products.
Speaker:So there's a lot of other benefits too,
Speaker:right. Made in Minnesota on and on and on and on.
Speaker:If you look at him,
Speaker:he's a really good example of benefits and then sale.
Speaker:And I'm telling you the story.
Speaker:So obviously it got to me,
Speaker:okay. So that's social in person.
Speaker:If you're at a craft show,
Speaker:the signage that you have behind the show,
Speaker:lots of times,
Speaker:you're just showing prices.
Speaker:If you sell candles,
Speaker:I can see that they're candles because they're on the table.
Speaker:What are the benefits of the candles?
Speaker:No, one's going to know unless they get into a conversation
Speaker:with you and you're going to tell them,
Speaker:so signage helps here too.
Speaker:With Bennett,
Speaker:you can have benefits and features on a side,
Speaker:healthy, clean Burnie keeps your environment fresh and healthy,
Speaker:even with fresh sense.
Speaker:Like that's horrible copy,
Speaker:but you know what I mean?
Speaker:So you can do what the benefit is.
Speaker:And then talk about soy wax would with,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:whatever other features,
Speaker:multiple flavors,
Speaker:sense, whatever,
Speaker:but don't forget the benefit.
Speaker:Most people will just go to the features,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:and list the features.
Speaker:And finally,
Speaker:I'd say in any conversation that you have even networking,
Speaker:why do I care?
Speaker:That's the biggest question?
Speaker:Why do I,
Speaker:as the potential buyer of your products or services care,
Speaker:and that's how you lead.
Speaker:And then you take the conversation from there.
Speaker:And again,
Speaker:in summary here,
Speaker:reason you want to be really focused on benefits versus features
Speaker:and we've already gone through.
Speaker:So you really understand the difference between the two is the
Speaker:benefits, draw people in.
Speaker:They grab attention,
Speaker:everybody. No,
Speaker:not everybody they'll grab attention of people who are your potential
Speaker:customers who care about the same things that your product offers.
Speaker:And then the features are kind of like just the final
Speaker:little points that bring them over the line,
Speaker:push the buy button,
Speaker:pull out their credit card,
Speaker:whatever has to happen for that transaction to take place,
Speaker:or they come on your email list because they may not
Speaker:really be in the market for what you have right now,
Speaker:but you've sold them on the fact that you're a valuable
Speaker:person to know and follow for the point in time when
Speaker:they are interested and do want your product.
Speaker:Okay. All right.
Speaker:So that is my feel on benefits and features.
Speaker:And if anybody has any questions on that,
Speaker:I'll take them now.
Speaker:Or if you are thinking about benefits for your business and
Speaker:you want to shout them out,
Speaker:you can do that to anyone,
Speaker:want to unmute and say anything about this?
Speaker:I think I see Andrel.
Speaker:It was a question that I was going to ask and
Speaker:I think it has today.
Speaker:It was pertaining to having information about both the features,
Speaker:as well as the benefits like you were given the example
Speaker:of the candle,
Speaker:given the benefits of a candle.
Speaker:And my question,
Speaker:I guess,
Speaker:was can the information that you're given,
Speaker:being on both.
Speaker:That's not what I want to ask.
Speaker:Can some things be both you're describing the features as well
Speaker:as giving the benefits on your information that may be behind
Speaker:you, if you,
Speaker:in person with someone.
Speaker:Yes. The answer is yes.
Speaker:For sure.
Speaker:Like if you're at a show,
Speaker:you could have the benefits and the features both written out.
Speaker:I would suggest that the wording of a benefit is different
Speaker:than the wording of a feature,
Speaker:but it could still be talking about the same thing.
Speaker:Like soy candles,
Speaker:the benefit is healthier inside burning environment is the benefit of
Speaker:using soy wax.
Speaker:Did that make sense?
Speaker:So one's a benefit.
Speaker:One's a feature and benefits,
Speaker:honestly. Like it takes people some time to think about all
Speaker:the potential benefits.
Speaker:Cause some of them could be physical.
Speaker:They could be psychological,
Speaker:they could be helping your mood.
Speaker:They could be making you healthy or they could be,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:there's a plethora of different types of things that benefits could
Speaker:be and it's worth giving some thought.
Speaker:So you have maybe three top things that you can pull
Speaker:up at any time and talk about.
Speaker:I don't expect if this is new information to anybody who's
Speaker:listening. I don't expect it to automatically be obvious necessarily.
Speaker:You've got to think about it a little bit.
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:and even the people who make similar products,
Speaker:the benefits might be different.
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:the things that they want to focus on and talk about
Speaker:could be different.
Speaker:One from another,
Speaker:anything else?
Speaker:Oh, go ahead,
Speaker:Joyce. Because it's been quite a while and I am the
Speaker:one that always just fuels and features and benefits.
Speaker:So I think as I began to gravitate a bit in
Speaker:business, as long as that have been,
Speaker:am now research in the world,
Speaker:what does benefit mean legacy versus feature?
Speaker:Because I paid for all these many years,
Speaker:I was really just offering,
Speaker:I thought it was benefits,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:same day delivery,
Speaker:whatever blah,
Speaker:blah, blah.
Speaker:That was my benefits.
Speaker:That that was not really a benefit of the feature,
Speaker:the service.
Speaker:So now I have to really sit back and think about
Speaker:what are the benefits that are offering to attract the person
Speaker:that's on my website,
Speaker:that's reading.
Speaker:So basically We'll further The way to further think about this
Speaker:is if you have the feature of same day delivery,
Speaker:why would same day delivery be important to your customer?
Speaker:So you can ask a question.
Speaker:If you think of it from the customer standpoint,
Speaker:why do I care that Joyce has same day delivery?
Speaker:Not the person who just called you at three o'clock this
Speaker:afternoon, mind you,
Speaker:I just saw that post earlier,
Speaker:but someone who calls before 11 same day delivery could be
Speaker:the convenience.
Speaker:You forgot.
Speaker:It's your best friend's birthday.
Speaker:And you're working all day.
Speaker:Where are you going to go?
Speaker:She doesn't need to know.
Speaker:You forgot.
Speaker:That could be a benefit.
Speaker:Like that's a little story as a benefit of all,
Speaker:you have to take each of your features.
Speaker:And then just ask the question.
Speaker:Why would my customer care about that?
Speaker:Okay. Right.
Speaker:Yeah. You've got a lot.
Speaker:And now I know,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:with you focused on corporate too,
Speaker:then you also think from the corporate hat,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:not just a single one-on-one customer hat,
Speaker:but corporate hat.
Speaker:So that was good.
Speaker:Joyce, thanks for the add.
Speaker:Anything else before we get into showcases?
Speaker:Okay. So those of you who are listening,
Speaker:we're now going to get into why I call this a
Speaker:bash. It's getting together all different handmade business owners who get
Speaker:a chance to showcase their business to you.
Speaker:Now there's a couple of things that you,
Speaker:as a listener,
Speaker:obviously the people who are here get to tell you all
Speaker:about their business.
Speaker:So it's visibility for them at the end.
Speaker:I'm going to tell you if you're interested in joining a
Speaker:bash, how you can do so,
Speaker:but there's something else as you're listening to everybody talk about
Speaker:their business.
Speaker:It's a good example of how to present your business forward.
Speaker:So you can use,
Speaker:if you hear something or a style that you're like,
Speaker:yeah, I'm really listening.
Speaker:Take some of the wording or the way they present their
Speaker:business, or some of the ideas of the things that they're
Speaker:doing. And this might give ideas for you and your business
Speaker:as well.
Speaker:If you're interested in supporting them by purchasing some of their
Speaker:products, some people offer discount codes here and other things.
Speaker:That's also wonderful people.
Speaker:We'll also talk about collaborations.
Speaker:So if your product could go well in someone's shop,
Speaker:or if you see somebody who's talking here who you think
Speaker:you combining your product with their product for a special promotion
Speaker:could be a good idea.
Speaker:Feel free to reach out to these people too.
Speaker:That's why I'm having them give you somewhere where you can
Speaker:reach out to them later.
Speaker:Okay? All of this is not going to be in the
Speaker:show notes.
Speaker:So you got to have pen and paper,
Speaker:if you want to connect with anybody,
Speaker:but you're not just listening for them to promote to you.
Speaker:You're getting to hear how various people are running,
Speaker:working and what they're doing in their businesses.
Speaker:All right.
Speaker:So with that,
Speaker:the way we'll do this is I'll ask you again,
Speaker:who you are,
Speaker:what the name of your business is,
Speaker:what you sell.
Speaker:If it's a product that you're selling,
Speaker:anything else that you think we should know for the immediate
Speaker:future, and then how people can get in touch with you.
Speaker:Okay. And let's see Gloria Brown.
Speaker:I think I'm going to start with you because you were
Speaker:the first one on,
Speaker:so you get to start.
Speaker:How about that?
Speaker:Hi, I'm Gloria Brown,
Speaker:the sole provider of all in women,

Speaker:I'm looking for someone who would like to collaborate on a
Speaker:product with me.
Speaker:I have a wonderful massage oil called REO deli,
Speaker:which means joy in the house right now.
Speaker:I dabble in making soap,
Speaker:but it is not an item that I offer regularly.
Speaker:So is there someone out there who would like to work
Speaker:with me on creating a soap called deli?
Speaker:It contains six essential oils and smells so amazing.
Speaker:Love it.
Speaker:My website is Olen woman,
Speaker:herbals.com. That's a H H meaning after you use my product,
Speaker:you go on dash land woman,
Speaker:verbals.com. And you can find me on Facebook and Instagram as

Speaker:recent podcast.
Speaker:Wonderful. Thank you,
Speaker:Gloria. Okay.
Speaker:Joyce, why don't you go Hi everybody.
Speaker:Good evening.
Speaker:I'm Joyce areola.
Speaker:I own two horses,
Speaker:baskets and beautiful south Florida.
Speaker:There's no other place in the world itself.
Speaker:Or I can tell you that.
Speaker:Absolutely beautiful.
Speaker:Here we create corporate.
Speaker:Our thank you gift as well as our everyday gifting.
Speaker:We should be around 20 years.
Speaker:I am looking for someone because I am looking for Florida
Speaker:theme items,
Speaker:not so much as food,
Speaker:but like the little novelty items that I can put in
Speaker:my gifts to keep safe.
Speaker:As the people come,
Speaker:the tourists come here and traveling to and from.
Speaker:So I'm working for something like Flamingo.
Speaker:I
but anything that would give me an ideal to put in
Speaker:my photo baskets.
Speaker:Like I say,
Speaker:not really food.
Speaker:What are some like I have all year long because I
Speaker:want to be able this time around to keep my page
Speaker:up on my website all year long,
Speaker:we just float a little things to do.
Speaker:Maybe go keeps like Iles was definitely that I'm looking for.
Speaker:So if you have any ideals and you suggest us hit
Speaker:me up on Instagram at Joyce's baskets.
Speaker:Wonderful. Okay,
Speaker:Laurie, can you unmute yourself and go next.
Speaker:Okay. Can you hear me?
Speaker:Yep. Can hear you just fine.
Speaker:Okay. I'm Laurie Nash and I'm the owner of red cabin
Speaker:studio and I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
Speaker:So always from Joyce and Southern Florida,
Speaker:there's kind of straight up though.
Speaker:I'm a designer illustrator.
Speaker:Self-taught, I'm a retired occupational therapy assistant.
Speaker:So I,
Speaker:this is kind of my retirement fund job and I sell
Speaker:mostly wholesale.
Speaker:But what I do is I design a lot of custom
Speaker:designs that are appropriate for a certain location.
Speaker:I near Mackinaw island,
Speaker:if you know about that.
Speaker:So I design a lot for that and do custom things
Speaker:that people need.
Speaker:And then I use the sublimation process too,
Speaker:which is a heat process to put the design onto mugs,
Speaker:sorta make ornaments,
Speaker:totes, just a lot of different items like that.
Speaker:So I'm just looking to just expand a little bit.
Speaker:My business has evolved to where I'm focused more on the
Speaker:design work and the custom part of that.
Speaker:So Wonderful.
Speaker:Where can people get in touch with you?
Speaker:Laurie Instagram is good.
Speaker:Red underscore Kevin underscore studio.
Speaker:Okay, perfect.
Speaker:Wonderful. Thank you so much.
Speaker:I need to do you,
Speaker:Hey everybody,
Speaker:I'm Anita Houseman and I live in a very sweet place.
Speaker:Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Speaker:There is no other place like Hershey,
Speaker:PA taco town USA.
Speaker:I am the owner of the Hershey gifting company and we
Speaker:work with individuals and small businesses to creatively help promote themselves
Speaker:or brand themselves,
Speaker:and also to help recognize special people and events in their
Speaker:lives. So our specialty is custom printed ribbon.
Speaker:We are doing a lot of what we call ribbon on
Speaker:demand, where we are printing for small businesses and people that
Speaker:want to add some creativity to their product lines as well
Speaker:as maybe a special event.
Speaker:And it's really been fun.
Speaker:It's, it's kind of something new and it's really been taking
Speaker:off. So you can find me on social at the Hershey
Speaker:gifting co and I would love to talk to people if
Speaker:you would like to place an order.
Speaker:I do have a special code.
Speaker:You, if you use bash 15,
Speaker:you will get 15% off of your first order.
Speaker:Perfect. Wonderful,
Speaker:wonderful. Okay.
Speaker:Do it.
Speaker:I'm going to go to you.
Speaker:Awesome. Good evening.
Speaker:Everyone. I'm happy to be here.
Speaker:I met Sue,
Speaker:as she said,
Speaker:a few days ago on an app called owl.
Speaker:And I expressed to her something that I'm sharing tonight is
Speaker:that I'm in the process of launching a brand new private
Speaker:school in Jacksonville,
Speaker:Florida. The goal is to launch in 2023.
Speaker:My purpose for reaching out to Sue at the time was
Speaker:to just get some ideas about ways in which I could
Speaker:connect with parents,
Speaker:more parent groups,
Speaker:where I would say your parent teacher organizations,
Speaker:you know,
Speaker:you may have your affiliate groups such as the band moms
Speaker:or cheer moms or soccer moms,
Speaker:and what could perhaps be a way that I could help
Speaker:to spread not only the launch of the school,
Speaker:but then in turn helped to generate revenue for upstart as
Speaker:well as to be able to give a portion of those
Speaker:proceeds back to that existing entity.
Speaker:So I'm excited today to just be able to listen and
Speaker:share. I've been writing down the names of each of the
Speaker:platforms that you all have from Joyce's baskets to Alana herbals,
Speaker:red cabin and Hershey gifting company.
Speaker:So I'll be sure to reach out to each of you.
Speaker:You can connect with me.
Speaker:Dewitt Robinson on LinkedIn is w I T T R as
Speaker:in Robert O B I N S O N.
Speaker:So I'm excited about learning more and thank you,
Speaker:Sue for the invitation to tonight's best.
Speaker:You're welcome.
Speaker:I'm thrilled that you're here and I'm looking forward to continuing
Speaker:hearing about the progression of the project.
Speaker:I think it's amazing.
Speaker:Okay, Andrew,
Speaker:why don't you go next?
Speaker:Hi everybody.
Speaker:My name is Andrew Rubin and I own and operate Andrew's
Speaker:sweet kitchen.
Speaker:So part of what I do is ask when I asked
Speaker:about Andrew's sweet kitchen ask,
Speaker:see the connection.
Speaker:What I do is I have four Mays,
Speaker:especially wise in a Graham cracker,
Speaker:prevailing, Yum,
Speaker:how come it's not sitting on my desk here and drill.
Speaker:If you can reach through the camera like,
Speaker:oh, I'm trying to just pray and read practice.
Speaker:So for those are those who are listening only,
Speaker:it looks delicious.
Speaker:Another one of my specialties is homemade caramel popcorn.
Speaker:So my website is girls kitchen.
Speaker:That com I specialize in just a small amount of things,
Speaker:but I make things in small batches to ensure the freshness
Speaker:of everything,
Speaker:as well as just making sure that it's something that's tasting
Speaker:and just give it to someone as a gift.
Speaker:You know,
Speaker:I have different flavors of popcorn as well.
Speaker:So I can't really say that I'm looking to elaborate because
Speaker:right now this is really new to me.
Speaker:So I'm just really trying to get it out there.
Speaker:And Alita,
Speaker:I do really like the idea of the ribbon,
Speaker:putting my name on the ribbon to help my marketing skills.

Speaker:Texas. Okay.
