Advice for your artist booking contract:

  • Send PDFs (or similar read-only format)
  • Before you book: check with artists who perform at venue to make sure there are no issues
  • Get deposits – explain why – if you lose the gig close to the date, you can’t always reschedule it right away
  • Have a detailed invoice (name everything out so it’s clear)
  • Itemize charges on invoice (food, travel, time, housing etc)
  • Don’t be afraid to negotiate a venue’s contract
  • Ask questions
  • Clarify who check should be written to
  • Address advertising: venue, artist or combination

The advice in the podcast is only the tip of the iceberg. To learn more, check out Tara’s FREE online training, 4 Days to Book Like A Boss. You’ll take away valuable information to put into play when booking your next gig.
