Billy Clery, Tara O'Gorman & Katelyn Keogh

This week on the podcast we're saying our goodbyes, to departing Galway WFC manager Billy Clery and also the win-less record of Athlone Town and Treaty United as Katelyn Keogh and Tara O'Gorman join Breifne Earley to talk about their respective side's first wins.

In the absence of a co-host this week Breifne takes a quick look back at the action from last weekend (1:03).

We have our first round-table chat with players from both clubs who secured their first wins of the season. (4:31) Treaty United captain Tara O'Gorman chats about the lesson's her young side have learned over the last eight rounds of games while Katelyn chats about the bridge from U17 competitions to Senior and the gap between the standards.

The two girls discuss some of the issues associated with being one of the mid table sides in the league and the range of challenges associated with dealing with the wide range of standards in their opponents from week to week.

Former Galway WFC manager Billy Clery (23:25) drops in to discuss the reasoning behind his decision to step away from his role after four and a half seasons in the dugout at Eamonn Deacy Park, with the added pressure of a young family and the time involved with coaching a team at this level.

He discusses the lessons he's learned, his advice for any aspiring coaches coming into the league and the quality of his replacement in the role after the announcement of the experienced Stephen Lally earlier in the week.

Finally Breifne takes a look at the weekend's fixture list (36:40) with the clash of Shelbourne and Wexford Youths topping the bill on Saturday afternoon.
