Feeling more stressed than ever with the chaos of 2020 and life in general? If so, I’ve got you covered with some simple, fun, and efficient techniques to help reduce your stress levels fast.
In today's episode, we'll be learning about:
· THE EIGHT PILLARS OF REDUCING STRESS: Balanced meals, Meditation, Water, Exercise, Sleep, Limit Caffeine, Supplements, and Human Connection.
· BALANCED MEALS: Eating a healthy diet can reduce the negative effects of stress on your body
· MEDITATION: It’s a simple technique that reduces stress. It helps promote emotional health, enhances self-awareness, lengthens attention span, generates kindness, and helps fight addictions.
· WATER: We’re made of water and so is the earth! All of our organs, including our brains, need water to function properly. If you’re dehydrated, it’ll stress out your body! Take your body weight and divide it in ½ and that’s how many ounces your body needs.
· EXERCISE: Regular exercise can help lower stress and anxiety by releasing endorphins and improving your sleep and self-image
· SLEEP: Following a regular sleep routine calms and restores the body, improves concentration, regulates mood, and sharpens judgment and decision-making
· LIMIT CAFFEINE: High amounts of caffeine can lead to the negative health effects associated with prolonged elevated levels of cortisol (as in chronic stress). However, small to moderate amounts of caffeine can lift your mood and give you a boost.
· SUPPLEMENTS: Several supplements promote stress and anxiety reduction. Adtagoengs are the holy grail of stress redcution along side with B vitamins.
· HUMAN CONNECTION: Get out there and hug a friend and get some deep belly laughs in!
