Shownotes

Astrology has significantly transformed my life, enhancing my capabilities as a father, a writer, and an educator, while also providing me with the means to effectuate positive change in the lives of others. This episode delves into the profound impact of astrology on personal development, particularly through the lens of cosmophysics, a unique approach that emphasizes practical observation and field study. I recount my journey of isolation as I embraced this esoteric practice, often feeling alienated from family and friends who failed to comprehend my fervor. Additionally, I reflect on the elitism encountered within the astrological community, underscoring the necessity of inclusivity and the sharing of knowledge. Ultimately, this discourse seeks to illuminate the transformative power of astrology and the importance of fostering a supportive community for practitioners, regardless of their background.

Transcripts

Speaker A:

All right, I was going to save this for my last question of the night for you, but it seems like it's a perfect time to answer.

Speaker A:

I actually knit this.

Speaker A:

Now, what has astrology done for you?

Speaker B:

It has made me a better human being, first and foremost.

Speaker B:

It has made me a great father, a phenomenal science fiction comic book writer, a teacher, and has allowed me to do something that I thought I would have to join, like civil rights movement or some type of movement to do, or some type of church or religious organization to help change people's lives.

Speaker B:

Help me change lives, huh?

Speaker A:

I'm glad you.

Speaker A:

I'm glad you used that word, join.

Speaker A:

Which leads me to why I

Speaker B:

reached

Speaker A:

out to you, because I read a paper that you wrote 11 years ago.

Speaker A:

It was called.

Speaker A:

It was called Racism Unmasked or.

Speaker A:

Or Racism in Astrology.

Speaker A:

Astrology of Racism.

Speaker B:

It was two of them was part one and part two.

Speaker B:

Part one is cosmophysics, Racism Unmasked, and the part two is called Race and Astrology.

Speaker A:

All right, now, in part one, what led up to part one?

Speaker B:

Racism in Astrology.

Speaker B:

I was so enthusiastic about cosmophysics and how I was being taught and the accuracy of it.

Speaker B:

I wanted everybody to know about it.

Speaker B:

Funny thing, my mentor said the reason he taught me is because everyone thought he was crazy and he wanted other people to go crazy with him.

Speaker B:

I began to adapt that.

Speaker B:

I began to adapt that mentality because the better I got astrology, the more isolated I became from my family, from my friends.

Speaker B:

No one knew what I was talking about.

Speaker B:

I saw astrology, everything.

Speaker B:

I just pop off and say, oh, hell, Mars is rising now.

Speaker B:

Look at all the fire trucks around.

Speaker B:

Look at the police, look at the action going on, you know, and people look at me like, is he gone crazy?

Speaker B:

But I am just observing the heavens in motion.

Speaker B:

You know, live astrology, they didn't understand that.

Speaker B:

So I became isolated.

Speaker B:

And for a person like me, a Libra, I need people around.

Speaker B:

How did it.

Speaker A:

How did your family accept your diving into astrology?

Speaker A:

Probably like mine.

Speaker B:

They think I'm crazy.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

My grandmother thinks it's the devil.

Speaker A:

Claudia, what is your family.

Speaker A:

How'd your family think about you diving into astrology?

Speaker C:

Yeah, the same.

Speaker C:

I mean, that's kind of.

Speaker C:

We're basically plagued by that, aren't we?

Speaker C:

Like, when those.

Speaker C:

Those of us that practice astrology, like, we basically become the black sheep of any sort of community we're in because it's so out there.

Speaker B:

That was hurtful for me because I was a Libra and I was very popular.

Speaker B:

I had lots of friends, lots of groups of friends.

Speaker B:

And so what I began to do is go online, seek that companionship online outside.

Speaker B:

My mentor, he was the only person that I could talk to.

Speaker B:

And when he wasn't available, no one to talk to.

Speaker B:

My girlfriends were like, so, you know, so it became almost like when I was dealing with women, we weren't having sex or being romantic.

Speaker B:

Then they had no use for me because all I wanted to do was talk about astrology all day, every I want to read them, read their family, everything.

Speaker B:

So I began to go online to the online groups.

Speaker B:

And at this time Facebook was just starting to really pick up.

Speaker B:

I used to go to myjournal.com everybody heard that I used to go on there.

Speaker B:

And they had these groups, these astrology groups.

Speaker B:

And I was like, oh man, astrologers.

Speaker B:

And I got up in the groups and everyone's talking.

Speaker B:

And then I started talking causal physics.

Speaker B:

Now you have to understand something.

Speaker B:

I am not a traditionally trained astrologer.

Speaker B:

So I didn't know the nomenclature for traditional astrology.

Speaker B:

Cosmophysics.

Speaker B:

A little different because we emphasize a certain different things.

Speaker B:

Like we emphasize field study.

Speaker B:

You know how I was saying we would go on the bus and we were just straight reading people, right or wrong, just doing it at practice.

Speaker B:

That is a sharpening shore technique.

Speaker B:

We were taking the black conscious idea of show improve and putting that in astrology.

Speaker B:

If we couldn't prove it, we didn't talk about it.

Speaker B:

If it was provable, we kept it.

Speaker B:

And so we gained an eclectic system of astrology which we call it cosmophysics, and start branding it the Jee Kwon do of astrology.

Speaker B:

Because we want use techniques that you can't use.

Speaker B:

And we could start to calculate in our mind the sun ° the, the plans ° the motions and without the software.

Speaker B:

So a cosmophysician is a walking, living, breathing software and ephemeris.

Speaker B:

And I demonstrated that last night with my students with you.

Speaker B:

I said I wanted you to see that they don't need software to calculate your son degree where it's at where the sun is now, where It'll be at 30 days.

Speaker B:

So it'll be sextiling your son da da da and all these other things.

Speaker B:

So I wanted to spread that.

Speaker B:

And when I got into these groups, the first thing I met was a lot of elitists.

Speaker B:

Before, before I met the racist, I met the elitist.

Speaker B:

Oh, you know, the way you're doing it, that's wrong.

Speaker B:

We learned this way.

Speaker B:

oin the UAC you have to spend:

Speaker B:

And I met some nice people, too.

Speaker B:

One day, a nice astrologer said to me, I went to Silver Spring, Maryland, to an astrology conference where there were only three black people there.

Speaker B:

And two of those black people were in their 80s.

Speaker B:

I was the only black person, young person there.

Speaker B:

And I went there and start face reading people.

Speaker B:

You're this, you're so this, that, and blowing their mind.

Speaker B:

Pull me aside.

Speaker B:

She said, where did you learn that?

Speaker B:

I said, oh, my mentor gonna be here in an hour and he'll tell you cosmophysics.

Speaker B:

And I was telling her how I was really looking for a sponsor to get into the UAC or one of these official astrology clubs to learn their techniques.

Speaker B:

And she says, don't you do it.

Speaker B:

She says, everything you just did, everything that they're going to teach you, you already know you'd be spending thousands of dollars for nothing.

Speaker B:

You just did something that 80% of the people here cannot do, and they've been studying astrology for over 20 years.
