Shownotes
Join us as we begin a new series called, "What I Wish Someone Had Told Me." Jodi Salvo is joined by ADAMHS Board Executive Director Natalie Bollon to kick off the series and discuss the first topic - levels of care.
What do people wish they would have known about receiving the correct level of care for their addiction? Natalie uses an excellent metaphor of a band-aid. Band-aids are the greatest medical device...for certain injuries. But for others, a band-aid definitely won't cut it. Treatment for addiction is no different; if your level of addiction requires stitches or a cast, a band-aid is of no use for you.
With so many resources in the community, it's imperative to understand the levels of care available. You need to match the level of addiction with the correct level of treatment and care. And we can help guide you along that path.
