Hello, and welcome to a call for love where we inspire
Speaker:you to choose love, peace, and joy over fear,
Speaker:stress, and worry. And it's really about embracing growth
Speaker:and creating a life rooted in compassion and connection.
Speaker:And today, I wanna share with you something that's really been on my heart and
Speaker:mind, and that is how we step into
Speaker:this new calendar year. Now I do believe that every day
Speaker:is a new beginning. But with the turn of the calendar
Speaker:to 2025, let's face it, many
Speaker:people set resolutions, and that can feel very
Speaker:overwhelming. And most of them don't stick.
Speaker:I feel it, and I've been there too. But I found a way to set
Speaker:intentions that actually work, and it all comes down to
Speaker:focusing on what matters most. So in this episode,
Speaker:I'm sharing my 25 for 2025 list
Speaker:and how I have narrowed it down to my top five
Speaker:priorities. And that's the thing. The ones that will really
Speaker:truly make the biggest impact this year in your
Speaker:life. I also talk about why letting go of some of the
Speaker:goals is a good thing and how it helps
Speaker:you show up with more clarity and purpose. So stick around
Speaker:until the end because I'll be sharing a special intention
Speaker:poem that I created to help you start the year
Speaker:fresh, feeling grounded, focused, and ready to embrace
Speaker:all the good that's waiting for you. So let's begin.
Speaker:To start today, I would like to share that every
Speaker:year, you know, you hear the one word intention
Speaker:or you hear the phrase or you hear something to motivate you, to
Speaker:propel you into the next calendar year. And it's really
Speaker:about creating a fresh start. But let's face it.
Speaker:Most resolutions fade because they're either too vague, which
Speaker:I've mentioned on many of the podcasts, or we try
Speaker:to tackle too much at once. I've been there too,
Speaker:which is why I've shifted my approach to this calendar
Speaker:year to set intentions that actually stick,
Speaker:and it starts with clarity. So why
Speaker:create intentions? So creating a list, I've
Speaker:decided to create 25 items in my list because
Speaker:I kinda like those synchronicities of numbers. So 25 for
Speaker:25. And I think it's really cool that we have
Speaker:now entered into and completed a quarter
Speaker:of a century. But in any case, creating a
Speaker:list isn't about doing everything perfectly,
Speaker:really. It's about aligning your energy with what matters
Speaker:most and showing up intentionally. It's about clarity
Speaker:and not chaos because we can set all these
Speaker:intentions. It can become too overwhelming, and
Speaker:we really haven't thought them out. So it's
Speaker:really about resolutions to intentions.
Speaker:That's how I'm shifting my mindset for this year.
Speaker:Not resolutions, but really being mindful of my
Speaker:intentions, and maybe this resonates with you as well. And,
Speaker:of course, I'm recording this at the start of a brand new year.
Speaker:However, this is something that you can refocus on
Speaker:any quarter of the year, any month, or any
Speaker:milestone. So let's divide them into
Speaker:categories. That's how I've separated and categorized
Speaker:my intentions, and they're under 3 areas. 1st,
Speaker:for me are personal goals about nurturing myself,
Speaker:my body, mind, and spirit, and then about relational
Speaker:goals about deepening the connections with those we care
Speaker:about. And then for me and for many of you, maybe
Speaker:professional goals about creating impact.
Speaker:Now my 25 for 25
Speaker:is quite intense. It took me a little while to go through
Speaker:them, and I selected 6 for my
Speaker:personal growth. I'm not gonna go through them all, but I
Speaker:will share with you that some I've already been doing.
Speaker:But the main ones that are new for this year,
Speaker:and I I phrased it like this, is to honor and celebrate
Speaker:my body's evolution with age. You
Speaker:know that saying you're not getting older. You're getting wiser.
Speaker:Well, I would like to actually put that into practice
Speaker:because I am physically getting older,
Speaker:and my body is showing it. And I wanna embrace
Speaker:it. I wanna celebrate it without criticizing
Speaker:it and judging it. And so one of the main practices
Speaker:I'm doing this year is I'm going to include weight
Speaker:training. And I have a special guest coming
Speaker:up who will talk more about that. But I do
Speaker:feel I have the agility, mobility, and flexibility
Speaker:through yoga and Pilates kinda down pat now,
Speaker:and I want to embrace the weight training.
Speaker:Actually, my son, Michael, bought me some hand weights this
Speaker:Christmas, so I'm ready to go. So
Speaker:that was the main item I had for my personal growth.
Speaker:The other ones, you know, like, I wanna read 25 books
Speaker:for 2025, stay grounded and present with self compassion,
Speaker:you know, practice the let them let me, which I will talk
Speaker:about further in another podcast theory.
Speaker:And, of course, starting my mornings intentionally with
Speaker:meditation, a gratitude practice. I like to read in
Speaker:spiritually inspiring readings to really ground and
Speaker:uplift me. So that's kind of my personal area.
Speaker:So you may want to create some intentions.
Speaker:I'm not gonna say goals, and I'm not gonna say resolutions, but
Speaker:intentions in your personal growth. Okay?
Speaker:Things to propel you forward on your journey. But then
Speaker:I call the next category relational, and,
Speaker:really, it's about friends and family. My main
Speaker:one I have 5 in this area, but my main one is
Speaker:to remember birthdays and special
Speaker:occasions. I have I am blessed with many,
Speaker:many people in my life. You know, I have 10 older
Speaker:brothers and sisters, teen nieces and nephews,
Speaker:and great nieces and nephews. I think we're bordering on, like, 60 now.
Speaker:And, I I feel very overwhelmed with
Speaker:remembering birthdays. And, of course, I have dear friends
Speaker:and clients. So this year, I'm going to try being more
Speaker:intentional about remembering these special occasions.
Speaker:Now that is the main one. I've chosen just one main one from each
Speaker:category. So for the personal was including weight training
Speaker:into my health regime and remembering
Speaker:birthdays for my relational intentions. But I
Speaker:also have, of course, supporting my sons, Michael and Patrick, on their journey,
Speaker:spending more quality time and activities with my husband,
Speaker:Gord, and taking technology breaks.
Speaker:I can get very obsessed about technology
Speaker:and wanting to get things done, and so I'm gonna be really
Speaker:mindful of that, like, closing the computer, putting my phone away.
Speaker:And, you know, we've had a lot of changes in our life recently,
Speaker:losing our parents and, you know, our kids getting
Speaker:older. And so I would like to create new holiday traditions.
Speaker:So those are some of the intentions I have. But as I said,
Speaker:my main one I'm gonna focus on is
Speaker:remembering birthdays. And then
Speaker:for professional, I will dive into that a little later,
Speaker:but I do wanna say that when we break down our
Speaker:intentions, into these areas, into
Speaker:these buckets, personal, relational, and professional,
Speaker:it's really about seeing what areas of your life
Speaker:need more focus. And for me, it's about
Speaker:really noticing and making a shift. You know, it
Speaker:could be writing it on a sticky note. It could be putting it in your
Speaker:agenda. Recently, I've been buying a full year calendar that I
Speaker:put on my wall. I've been asking other people how
Speaker:they negotiate through this. And a lot of people say
Speaker:they write it down or they put it in their phone. I like
Speaker:visuals. I'm a visual learner, so I do like seeing it.
Speaker:And if you're anything like me, I am a Vata in terms
Speaker:of, Ayurvedic doshas. I need to see it, hear
Speaker:it. I have to have it in many places, not just
Speaker:one, in order to keep that really in
Speaker:my mindset. So as you look at your
Speaker:25 items, it's too much.
Speaker:25 items is really spreading yourself then. It's
Speaker:just like the one word intention. So one word
Speaker:is doable. It's something that's in your mindset. Well, if
Speaker:you have 25 intentions for 2025,
Speaker:it's really overwhelming and a little bit too much.
Speaker:So the key here is to write them all
Speaker:down and then to take the top 5.
Speaker:So I've taken actually, I have negotiated this a little
Speaker:bit. I've taken one for my personal, one for my relational,
Speaker:and I do have 5 for my professional. And then
Speaker:the secret here is, and this is the hardest part,
Speaker:is to let go on purpose of the rest.
Speaker:And what that means is, and I shared this with my friend Jodi
Speaker:Pappas, is you are to write them down and cross them
Speaker:out and make sure that you do
Speaker:not do them. So it actually works in reverse.
Speaker:You have to really create the mindset not to
Speaker:do them. So I will give you an example.
Speaker:I love creating. Just love creating. And I've been
Speaker:intending to write this course for Insight
Speaker:Timer. It's an app where I do have meditations on there,
Speaker:and I've been wanting to write this course. It would be so much
Speaker:fun. I could do a great job, and it gets me excited,
Speaker:but it's not in my top five. And
Speaker:so I have to purposely say because I get attracted to
Speaker:it like a magnet. No, Linda. Don't do it. Another thing
Speaker:is is that I love to take courses myself. And
Speaker:so I purposely have to say no.
Speaker:You're not allowed I say I talk to myself. You're not
Speaker:allowed to take another course at this time because
Speaker:that's not in your top five. That's not in
Speaker:your top five intentions for 2025.
Speaker:And so that is the key. When you remember
Speaker:this, then you can focus it. There's a great
Speaker:book. I don't know who writes it, but it's called Essentialism.
Speaker:And what it has is this circle and all these
Speaker:arrows around the circle coming like spokes, spokes of
Speaker:a bike. And so all these arrows are going away from
Speaker:the circle. That's when you have too many intentions.
Speaker:So say you have 25, all those arrows are
Speaker:focusing away. Well, of course, you can't get very
Speaker:far on the spokes. But the less
Speaker:intentions you have, then all that energy and
Speaker:time is purposely going into your
Speaker:top 5, and then you go farther. And
Speaker:that's what we want. And so for my professional
Speaker:goals, I do wanna go farther. And I've decided,
Speaker:of course, a call for love podcast is very important to
Speaker:me and my listeners. I've been getting exceptional
Speaker:feedback as I celebrate the 2 year mark.
Speaker:I'd said it episode 81 and
Speaker:82. It was this time 2 years ago
Speaker:in 2023 that I created a call
Speaker:for love, and it has really filled my life and my heart.
Speaker:It's something that gives me purpose and gives
Speaker:me joy. And so I'm going to continue that, of
Speaker:course. I put that on Apple, Spotify,
Speaker:many platforms, and also through Insight Timer.
Speaker:But what are my other ones? And so this is what I've decided
Speaker:is that just narrowing down my focus is
Speaker:retreats. I've been doing them for, oh, I would say
Speaker:7, 8 years now, and I love them. So this
Speaker:is the first time in 2025 that I'm actually going out of
Speaker:country, and we're going to Samara, Costa Rica. It is super
Speaker:exciting. It is gorgeous there. Stunning on the
Speaker:ocean, walking everywhere, an excursion. Just
Speaker:beautiful. If you're interested, you can go to Global
Speaker:Wellness Education offerings to retreats,
Speaker:or there's a link in the show notes. But in any case, my
Speaker:retreats are very important. And, of course, I have retreats
Speaker:every year at the retreat house in Ontario, Canada
Speaker:on top of Blue Mountain at the retreat house. So retreats
Speaker:are part of it. My podcasting is part of it. So that's
Speaker:2. The other thing is content
Speaker:creation. I love writing, and that's another thing. I
Speaker:wanna write a book, but I have to purposely put that
Speaker:underneath the 5 because
Speaker:that could really detract me from my main goals.
Speaker:But I can kinda satisfy that through my
Speaker:newsletters and my blogs and creating social
Speaker:media presence. And so that's where I've devoted
Speaker:my creative artistry is into writing
Speaker:for these newsletters, which people read, and I
Speaker:receive a lot of insight and feedback
Speaker:back, which I truly, truly appreciate. The
Speaker:third thing is to continue my in person
Speaker:offering. So I do corporate events. I do coaching,
Speaker:Reiki energy sound healing, circles of love, and,
Speaker:of course, I do my yoga meditation studio classes. So I'm
Speaker:keeping that in. That is not new, but it
Speaker:is a huge part of my life, and it takes up quite a bit
Speaker:of time and energy. So that is included. Now the
Speaker:last one, 5, is trainings.
Speaker:This year, I consider it a huge
Speaker:personal success for me that over the last
Speaker:2 years, I have created a meditation manual, and I
Speaker:launched a 50 hour meditation
Speaker:teacher training. Now this is expand your path to
Speaker:peace. And what I've noticed in we are having our
Speaker:last weekend coming up, but it's really about
Speaker:inner awareness, awakening your higher self. It's self
Speaker:discovery, returning to wholeness, all those things that
Speaker:lead you back home is befriending yourself. And so it's been
Speaker:so successful. And here, once again, my creative writing
Speaker:abilities coming in, that, 50 hours was
Speaker:not long enough to share all
Speaker:that I have learned because I have taken many, many, many
Speaker:courses as a meditation guide, yoga teacher,
Speaker:Reiki sound master, coach, shamanic practitioner.
Speaker:I've dove into so many areas,
Speaker:and I'm bringing this all into the course. It's
Speaker:not just about meditation. In fact, there's a
Speaker:huge component about mindfulness, self compassion.
Speaker:And so that is one of the trainings. The other one is I'm going
Speaker:to be offering Reiki. Reiki part 1, 2, 3, and
Speaker:master trainings where you can become your own
Speaker:Reiki energy healer. And lastly, a restorative
Speaker:yoga teacher training. So I have decided to take
Speaker:my skills from being a school teacher for over 30 years and
Speaker:create trainings. And so this is what I invite you to
Speaker:do. So you may be retired, and you may not have
Speaker:professional goals, but you could call them creative
Speaker:goals. Because I feel it's really important
Speaker:as we move through the years to have purpose,
Speaker:to go from me to we, to give back.
Speaker:And so why not call them creative endeavors
Speaker:or sharings or whatever it is? Because I have a
Speaker:friend. She volunteers at a nursing home. I have other
Speaker:people that paint and have created, you could call
Speaker:it a side hustle, but they don't have their main career anymore.
Speaker:So a passion, a purpose. And so
Speaker:I offer you the perspective that
Speaker:maybe you want to create something in your life that
Speaker:is an offering, a creative endeavor,
Speaker:taking up a new skill or passion. I have a friend taking
Speaker:violin lessons. I've been dabbling in guitar.
Speaker:I love to paint. I love to knit. And so just
Speaker:exercising both sides of the brain as
Speaker:you navigate through the wisdom years is something that
Speaker:you may really wanna consider because we're all on this
Speaker:journey, and this is the perfect time. The perfect time is now.
Speaker:It's this the only moment we have is now. And so
Speaker:what intention do you want to set now? It's
Speaker:about creating action steps. So
Speaker:taking the biggest intentions that will have the biggest
Speaker:impact in your life and making those front and
Speaker:center. So this year, it isn't about
Speaker:doing everything, but it's about doing what truly matters.
Speaker:And by focusing on your top 5, give or take,
Speaker:you'll create the space, the energy, and the intention to
Speaker:make 20 25 a year of meaningful growth
Speaker:because this is what it's all about, is
Speaker:not comparing ourselves to others, but comparing
Speaker:ourselves to ourselves. And I don't
Speaker:really like the word comparing, but it's more of a mindful
Speaker:noticing to always step forward in our
Speaker:own journey even if it's one more small
Speaker:step. Why? You may ask yourself, why is this so
Speaker:important? You know, I'm fine the way I am, but, you know, I think it's
Speaker:part of the human nature to always be striving and
Speaker:growing. The mind always wants that. It always wants to be
Speaker:pushing. And so why not navigate it in
Speaker:a direction of growth? That is my
Speaker:thoughts in any case. And I do believe in myself,
Speaker:and I believe in you. I believe in the spirit
Speaker:of people that we can really grow
Speaker:to be a ripple of love and light to all those who
Speaker:come in our path and really raise the collective consciousness.
Speaker:Now to end this episode, I would like to share a
Speaker:poem that I've written. It's not really a poem. It's more of
Speaker:an intention. I call it from resolutions to intentions.
Speaker:It's really about embracing newness with purpose and
Speaker:clarity, and it goes like this. I am
Speaker:ready to welcome new beginnings. I
Speaker:embrace love, joy, and vibrant health. I
Speaker:trust in the beauty and goodness of life. I
Speaker:soften into changes and challenges, trusting they are for
Speaker:my highest good. I embrace this time of transition
Speaker:with patience and self compassion. I walk toward
Speaker:peace and joy, trusting it will show me the best
Speaker:path for my life, for my journey. I hold
Speaker:space for each day as it unfolds, trusting life's
Speaker:greater plan. I know that all is happening for
Speaker:me, not to me. I am supported and
Speaker:guided, creating a ripple of loving kindness
Speaker:out into the world. And so it is. Thank
Speaker:you. Thank you. Thank you. This may resonate
Speaker:with you. I hope it does. If not, create
Speaker:something that inspires you. I actually have this
Speaker:recorded on my phone in the morning. I can listen to
Speaker:it, and I do have it also on notes on my phone
Speaker:in case I wanna refer to it. That along with
Speaker:my 5 main objectives and intentions, my
Speaker:personal goal my main personal goal and my main relationship
Speaker:goal. And so that is how I am
Speaker:creating a path for this year.
Speaker:Let me know what your thoughts are. Let me know what your
Speaker:intentions are for 2025. Maybe you have created
Speaker:25 things for 2025 and narrowed them down to
Speaker:5. I would be so interested because this is what we do. We
Speaker:learn from each other. We're not what what does that say?
Speaker:No man or person is an island? Well, that's what
Speaker:it is. It's about learning from each other. You can reach out
Speaker:to me at lindaorcini@globalwellnesseducation.com,
Speaker:or reach out to me on social media at
Speaker:Instagram, Linda Orsini Wellness, or on

Speaker:Orsini. I am wishing you the clarity and
Speaker:the compassion to set your intentions
Speaker:for this new year. And remember, you can
Speaker:always pivot. If it's not working for you in this moment,
Speaker:pivot. Rewrite it. You are
Speaker:the master of your narrative of your life,
Speaker:not in the past, but moving forward. So really make sure
Speaker:that the path you're walking in is the direction that you want to
Speaker:go. Okay? So from my heart to yours,
Speaker:namaste.
