Standing at the edge of significant ministry changes, Dr. Dave shares both excitement and vulnerability about moving into a new location and studio while expanding the work of HMIM Radio. The plans include additional teachers, more live hosts, possible schedule changes, and increased opportunities for volunteers to participate. Remaining comfortable would certainly be easier, but comfort is not necessarily the calling. Like Israel moving beyond the wilderness toward the Promised Land, advancing sometimes requires accepting new challenges. The ministry’s responsibility is to pray, surrender the plans to God, follow faithfully, and trust Him with whatever results come next.

Section 2

Rebekah’s simple willingness to leave home and travel into an unfamiliar future provides a powerful picture of courageous faith. She could not completely know where she was going or everything awaiting her, yet when asked whether she would go, she answered yes. Dr. Dave connects her decision with those moments when God places something new before believers and asks them to move beyond what they can see. Walking by sight reveals only what we believe we can accomplish ourselves, while walking by faith reveals what becomes possible with God. Faith sometimes means accepting the risk, moving forward, and trusting the Lord to make things new.

Section 3

Before Rebekah departed, her family released her with a blessing rather than attempting to prevent her from moving into what God had placed ahead. Dr. Dave sees an important lesson for families, churches, ministries, and relationships: when God redirects someone, believers should bless that person rather than taking the departure personally. The same principle applies to the ministry’s coming transition. Mistakes will undoubtedly happen, but sincere obedience does not require perfection. It requires continuing forward with the Lord, trusting His grace, and refusing to settle permanently into comfort. As long as God provides another opportunity to serve Jesus, the appropriate response remains: keep going.
