This, my friend, is a difficult, heart wrenching situation because you want to know how to pray with real spiritual power instead of desperate begging. Well, take heart.

You are in the right place and by the end of today's episode, you'll know how to pray in the power of the name of Jesus Christ, how to pray when you reach the end of your human wisdom, and how to invite heaven's angels directly into your battle. I'm your host Tamara K. Andersen and today we're laying out an operational battle manual to help you move from a weary mother reactive prayers to a battle ready prayer warrior standing over your home. Here's our plan for today's episode. First, we're going to talk about the supreme source of power.

Second, the Day one promise about how quickly Heaven responds. Then we'll talk about wisdom from my rock bottom prayer moment, then Hannah's covenant surrender and finally we'll cover some powerful hacks.

We can learn from the scriptures about being a prayer warrior, but let's begin with the single most important truth every prayer warrior must know when we talk about spiritual battle.

The the number one thing we must understand is that our strength does not come from our own human willpower or our eloquent words or how perfectly we perform. Our number one source of strength, authority and power comes in and through the name of Jesus Christ.

As my mantra says in Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When you pray, it is important to invoke the name of Jesus in in your prayer, remember you are not standing alone.

You are clothed in the righteousness of your Redeemer.

As James 5:16 declares, the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man and I'm going to tack on or woman availeth much When a mother who loves Jesus Christ steps onto the spiritual battle line as a prayer warrior for her family. Her focused intentional intercession is effective because we humbly ask in the name of Jesus Christ as the Savior did in Gethsemane.

We also tack on not my will be done. We are not begging a distant God. We are invoking the name of the King of Kings as we plead. And there is power in Praying in his name.

So what happens when you pray in the name of Jesus, but nothing in your circumstance seems to change? Look at the story of Daniel. In chapter 10, verses 12 through 13, Daniel set his heart to fast and pray for his people for 21 long days.

Nothing changed on the surface, but on the 21st day, a heavenly messenger appeared to him and said, from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. The angel revealed that a dark spiritual force had resisted him in the unseen realm until Michael the Archangel came to help.

Here is the vital principle for every prayer Warrior Heaven responds on day one. When you pray for a child, a marriage, or a heavy trial and you see no immediate change in the physical world, it does not mean God didn't hear you.

Your prayer immediately dispatches heavenly assistance in the unseen realm. The moment it leaves your lips stay true, Cleave to hope and trust that the answer and the solution is coming.

I learned this lesson in a deeply personal way years ago with my son, Nathan. Nathan has low functioning autism and cannot communicate well verbally. One night, about two in the morning, he woke up screaming.

Usually we could soothe him, but this night was different. He would not be consoled. For hours, my husband and I tried everything.

We gave him pain medication, offered distractions and said prayers, but nothing worked.

Hours later, my pleading prayers turned into desperate, breathless sobs and I finally cried out, God, we have tried everything and nothing is working. I don't know what to pray for, but we need help. In that moment, I had reached the absolute end of my human wisdom and knowledge.

I was completely humble, submissive and open before God. And right then, a quiet thought whispered into my mind. Pray for angels.

I immediately began praying out loud, inviting every deceased angel ancestor I could think of by name, begging they would come. Calm Nathan, and help me endure. Oh, my dear friend. I never saw those angels with my physical eyes, but I felt them in that room.

There was a tangible, overwhelming sense of peace, comfort and love that just seemed to enter the space. And it finally settled. Nathan. He stopped crying. As Psalm 35 promises, weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning.

I learned two massive prayer warrior principles that night. When you run out of answers, ask God what to pray for. Lay it all on the line and say, lord, teach me how to pray for this child.

He knows the exact key that unlocks the breakthrough. And second, we must explicitly invite angels into our battles.

Angels are real, they are powerful, and God dispatches them when we invite and ask them to join us. Another transformation happens when we look at the story of Hannah in 1st Samuel chapters 1 and 2.

She was grieved, provoked by her adversary, and misunderstood. And in this situation, she went to the tabernacle and poured out her soul before the Lord for a child. But notice what she also did.

She made a covenant to surrender her child back to God.

A prayer warrior mother surrenders her children into the Savior's hands, moving from heavy, suffocating worry into a covenant partnership with Jesus Christ. Think of the parable of the Prodigal Son. The Father didn't chase the Son into a far country to argue with him.

The Father kept his vigilant eye on the horizon, watching and waiting. When the Son finally came to himself, the Father was already watching and ran to meet him, greeting him with open arms.

God sees our loved ones and is watching and working with them, even when they seem like they are afar off. So what do we do in the meantime? In your prayers you can ask God, lord, what can I do while I wait? And when a prompting comes, act on it immediately.

Pair that action with Colossians 4. 2, Which says, Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving.

This gratitude mindset is also talked about in 1st Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. While you wait, find things to be thankful for and continue to praise God for His mercies and miracles.

And if you're struggling to see the miracles, ask him to help you see them, especially when things are hard.

In Ezra 8:23 we read, so we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty. Fasting and prayer are powerful when used together.

When you combined the authority of Jesus Christ, the ministry of angels, and a watchful heart of gratitude, fasting and surrendering to God, you, my friend, become an unstoppable force for good in your home and in the world. You become a prayer warrior of light.
