The iconic character Red Sonja first appeared as a character called Red Sonya of Rogatino by author Robert E. Howard, the creator of Conan. Many years later she appeared as a barbarian warrior in 1973 in Marvel Comics. Today her story continues in the comics by Dynamite and has a dedicated following. A new movie, simply titled RED SONJA (2025), is now out. With a short run at theaters, it is now available to rent.
