You know where our hearts are at, you know what's bothering us, what's, what's, what's going on in our, in our physical bodies, you know, where we're strong and where we weak.

And Lord, I thank you that you're helping us today.

Holy Spirit, you're a helper.

And Lord, we ask you to help us by giving us ears to hear and a mind to comprehend and a heart to receive everything that you have for us today.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Well, we're going to be getting on now.

We're going through, at the moment we have been going through this supernatural school of healing and we've been using our course on healing, the three modules in Power Academy.

Okay, well, today we're going to be talking about what would Jesus do?

What would Jesus do?

And specifically what would Jesus do when it comes to, when it comes to sickness.

How did, what were some of the ways that Jesus responded, responded to sickness.

Now when I was, I got born again when I was 17.

Okay.

And in our Baptist Church, we were really into the Great Commission.

That's a big strength of the Baptist Church.

And one thing I'm grateful for the Baptist Church for is they really, they, they gave us a love for the word of God and they were great at getting people born again and baptized in water.

Those things were really, were their strength.

But the Great Commission was, was a big focus of all of the mission teams that came through the church, at least it was when I was a teenager anyway.

And that kind of gave me a passion for missions as well.

And I'm going to start here in the Great Commission partly because of that, but also I feel like this is, this is part of our roots.

Right.

We might not all feel on the inside that we're called to go to other countries and cool to go to the nations and like Ashley and I are, but still the Great Commission applies to every single born again believer.

Every single born again believer.

And we'll show you some things in here that you might not have seen before.

So we're going to look here.

In Matthew 28, Matthew 28, verse 18, it says, Then Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all of the things that I have commanded you and remember that I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Amen.

So there's a lot.

There's a lot of things in there, but Jesus is time on earth was around 33 years.

You know, he had a few years there where he was active in ministry and training up disciples before his crucifixion.

And in those.

In those few years where he was with his disciples, he was very intentional, very intentional.

And they went through a lot with him.

They traveled with him, they ate, they slept.

Slate that slept.

They traveled together.

And, you know, they observed everything, all of Jesus miracles firsthand.

And I just think that that that's amazing.

But, you know, the end, right at the end there before Jesus left, His time on earth was done.

You know, he.

He commissioned those disciples to go and tell and show and raise other people up, make disciples.

In other words, in all of the.

All of the lessons that they learned while they were with him or everything that they learned while they were with him, he's like, I want you to go and show other people how to do those.

Those things likewise.

And healing was a massive part of that.

It seems like when we read through the Gospels, healing is a huge, huge focus of the Lord.

Everywhere he's going, he's either coming from healing somebody or he's on his way to healing somebody.

It's a massive part of the Gospel.

And he said, actually, you know, all authority has been given to me, and he gives it to his disciples and, and he tells them to go.

He doesn't tell them to sit and stay and hide in their prayer closet and hope that something changes.

No, there's an action part of the Great Commission that's still true for every single one of us believers today.

And that doesn't matter whether you're 8 years old or 80 years old.

You have a calling, you have a purpose.

God has a plan for your life.

He created you unique.

He created you with purpose and a cooling.

And that doesn't mean just sitting and staying and being passive.

No, no.

This Great Commission is for every single one of us.

And actually, it's a really intrinsic Part of us walking in divine healing, you know.

Previously on Power Hour.

We talked about how when we pray for other people, the power of God literally flows through us.

It's Jesus that's the healer.

But Jesus, when we get born again, comes to live on the inside of us.

And it's that healing, that healer, that Jesus on the inside of us, that as we lay hands on the sick, as we pray for people, that healing power leaves through our body, but it flows through our hands.

You know, we are the hands and feet of Jesus in this generation.

And so as we're ministering to other people, you know, that healing power is flowing through us.

You know, the source is Jesus on the inside of us, but it's flowing through us and out of us.

And as we put our hands on other people, God uses our hands and our feet and our mouth to minister to other people.

And as we do that, there is a residual benefit for us too.

You know, when you pray for somebody else, you don't have to think about any of the symptoms.

You don't experience.

You don't feel about, feel any of their symptoms.

You, when you pray for somebody else, you don't have to overcome natural, the natural unbelief of physical symptoms in your body because you're praying for somebody else.

But.

And that's a huge benefit.

You still get the side effect of the power of God flowing through you and that, you know, I've seen blind people lay hands on blind people, and guess what?

They both their eyes open.

True story.

We were down in, in Mexico.

We had a.

We had a blind person on our team and laying hands on somebody in the congregation.

We had a ministry line and, and they, you know, they were really nervous.

They thought, well, maybe, maybe I've.

I'm disqualified because I.

From praying for the sick because I have a physical limitation.

I said, it's Jesus that's a healer, brother.

It's Jesus that's the healer.

It's not.

It's not you.

It's Jesus on the inside of you.

But if you'll be obedient to stretch out your hand and minister to somebody else, there's plenty of that power that's available to you.

Both people ended up with their eyes being opened.

Another time, we had two ladies on our prayer team with very rare kinds of cancer.

They prayed for people and actually fell down in the power of the Holy Ghost.

And, and they both got up and those cancers had left their bodies.

They had visible signs of cancer on the outside of the body.

Completely gone, man.

When we pray for people.

There is a power that is released in the name of Jesus, and there's plenty of residual power left to deal with any physical sickness in our body.

So this Great commission is for us.

So Jesus says, go therefore, make disciples of all nations.

He says, teach them, observe the things that I've commanded you and I'll be with you always.

And I want to show you this in, in Mark's account in chapter 16.

It says it slightly differently.

We are going through a series, a module in Power Academy at the moment on healing.

But today we're talking about what would Jesus do?

How does Jesus respond to sickness?

And we can look in the Gospels and here in this, I'm going to turn over to Mark, chapter 16, okay?

It says he's in verse 19.

He appeared to them.

He says, go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

You know, we're going to go, Ashley and I are going to go to Antarctica in December and preach to the.

Preach the penguins.

Because he says every creature.

So there you go.

He says, he who believes and is baptized will be saved.

You know, that word saved is also the word that they, they can be translated for healed.

So he who believes can be saved also can.

Can be healed.

Right?

But he who does not believe will be condemned.

And this is with the verse I want to get to these signs in, in verse, I mean verse 17, these signs will accompany those who believe in my name in Jesus name.

They will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues.

They will take up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them.

They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

This is where we get our emphasis for healing from.

It's for the, from the very life and commission and the final instructions of Jesus to his disciples, Go show the world everything I've shown you and teach them how to do, how to, how to do these things likewise.

And it goes on.

In verse 19, it says, after the Lord has spoken to them, he was received up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

In verse 20.

Then they went forth and preached everywhere and the Lord working with them and confirming the Word through the accompanying signs.

Now, there's a lot in this little bit here, but when we preach the Word, you know, it says in, in Romans chapter one that the pat.

The gospel in is the power of God unto salvation for all who will believe it.

The Jew, the Greek, the Gentile, everyone that believes it.

There will be power in the gospel.

Well, what kind of power is in the gospel?

Miracle power.

There is miracle working power in the Gospel.

Man.

This is huge.

So it says here when the, when the, when the Gospel is preached everywhere, the Lord works with them and confirms the Word with signs and wonders with miracles.

Now this word work, this phrase here, working with them, it's actually in the original text, it's called synergia, where we get the word synergy from.

And it means working together or to be in partnership to put forth power.

And it means to thereby assist.

So when we speak the word, when we lay hands on the sick, the power of God works through, through us.

We are literally partnering with God's will.

We are, we are getting into alignment with the will of God for our life in this realm.

And that power is released through us, in us, through us and out of us into other people.

Man, that is powerful.

Did you know that when you laid hands, when you lay hands on the sick and you speak the Word, the power of God, supernatural power for miracles and healing is released through your hands, man.

I tell you, after that revelation I started looking, looking at my hands a little bit differently.

You need to look at your hands and say, these are healing hands, these are blessed hands.

These hands can lay hand, can, can be laid on the sick and they should recover, man, you know, you've got some.

Sometimes we don't realize how much we've got on the inside of us in, in the person of Jesus.

We're not in this world just going through this world, you know, whatever happens to us, happens to us.

No, we, we are walking containers, vessels of the very power of God.

And you know, I think sometimes the enemy kind of does a bit of a number on us and you know, tries to convince us otherwise, you know.

But, But Philemon verse 6 says that that faith becomes effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing that's in us, in Christ Jesus.

What would happen if we for just a moment would say, Lord, thank youk for, for, for coming and, and, and dwelling on the inside of me.

Thank you Lord, for filling me with your Holy Spirit.

Thank you Lord, that, that you've given me faith that moves mountains and, and words that can bring life to the dead.

Thank you, Lord, that you've given me your Holy Spirit.

The help of the counselor.

Thank You, Lord, that you've given me wisdom and understanding and knowledge.

Thank you, Lord.

You've given me those gifts of the spirit working through me.

Man.

As we start to get into praise and thanksgiving, I tell you, the power of God, faith starts to become effective, you know, and we stop looking at everything that's wrong with us, and it changes how we start to see the world around us.

So what did Jesus do when he.

When he came against sickness and disease?

Well, you know, one of the things he says to his disciples, which comes from the Great Commission here as well a few chapters earlier in Matthew 10.

Let me read you this.

Matthew 10, verse 1, it says, and when he had called his 12 disciples to him, he gave them power over unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal or all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

Well, that's, I mean, that's, that's pretty clear, isn't it?

There's all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

So what kind of power did he give his disciples and what kind and what does that impact?

What influence does that have in the world?

Well, he says he gave them power over evil spirits.

That's everything that the enemy's doing.

He also gave them the ability to cast those out, to take authority.

He gave them power and authority.

Now, these are really, really important because we need power and authority in, you know, over the works of the enemy.

Sickness is always a work of the enemy.

It's never a work.

It's never, ever from God.

You look in the New Testament and I know sometimes there's confusion about this.

And, you know, we see some things in the Old Testament and it looks like God is putting sickness on people to maybe teach them something.

But brothers and sisters, we don't live in the, in the Old Testament.

We're New covenant New Testament believers.

And so when we read the Old Testament, we need to make sure we.

We're reading that Old Testament through the lens of a New Covenant believer.

So when we look in the New Testament, the life and the purpose of Jesus, he never put sickness on anyone.

He didn't say, you know, anyone that came to him.

What about the leper?

When he said, when he said to Jesus, Jesus, I'm just, you know, are you willing?

You know, if you're willing, you can make me clean.

Jesus didn't say, well, you know what?

I'm sure I'm able and I sure am ready, but no, I'm not willing.

I, I'm just not sure about you.

I think, I think this leprosy is going to teach you something.

I think this leprosy has a higher purpose in your life.

No, Jesus never said that.

We should actually write a book on the things Jesus never said because he gets misquoted quite a lot.

No, he said to the leper, I am willing.

I am willing be healed.

Jesus was always willing.

Sickness was never something that Jesus carried in his tool belt to minister.

He never ministered to people through sickness.

He.

It was never a remedy.

No, he ministered to people through.

Through healing.

He ministered to people through deliverance.

He ministered to people through wholeness, through peace, through freedom.

It's always the enemy, the devil that comes to kill, steal, and destroy.

And he does that through sickness and disease a lot of the time.

Sometimes God gets credit for things he does he's not even doing.

They're usually always the negative things.

God, you know, brothers and sisters, God has good for you.

He has.

He has freedom for you.

Today he wants you to be well.

Today he wants you to walk in wholeness.

He wants you to walk in peace.

He wants you to walk in joy.

He.

He wants you to walk in prosperity, in safety, in friendship, in intimacy with him.

He's not holding back on you.

He's not holding back on you.

So he gave his disciples.

I'm back in Matthew 10 here.

I'm jumping around a bit.

He gave his 12 disciples power over the works of the devil, to cast the devil out and also to heal all kinds of sickness, because sickness was a work of the devil.

And he gave them authority and power over all kinds of disease.

Why?

Because diseases were a symptom of something the devil was doing in verse eight.

Now, look, this is where this applies to us particular.

He says, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons.

Why?

Because freely you have received.

Now freely give, you know, freely we receive Jesus with you, brothers and sisters, if you got born again, you have received Jesus your Savior on the inside of you.

You came to dwell on the inside of you.

And you know what?

You also receive Jesus the healer and Jesus the deliverer, and Jesus the destroyer of the darkness.

Right?

You received all of the aspects of Jesus on the inside of you, the moment of salvation.

And sometimes I think we pick up, you know, our ticket, salvation.

But we forget there's so much more that Jesus paid for us to have and live in and walk in on the cross.

Man we don't, we can be saved in this life.

But if we're missing out on a whole bunch, if we don't realize every part of atonement, that Jesus was resurrected for this, this is a big deal.

And he says, his disciples, you've received this, now go give this to other people.

Now notice on here as well, he doesn't even say go pray for the sick.

He says, go heal the sick.

Fancy that.

What about if next time we entered into a ministry situation, we were praying for somebody that we didn't think about praying for them.

We thought, you know, I'm going to go and we're going to see them healed.

When to go and expect a manifestation of healing, to go and expect a miracle, that's an action of faith.

That's an action of faith.

Jesus was telling, go in faith.

I've already paid the price.

I've already done the hard part.

The path paid the price for you to be free from sin and for you to be free from sickness.

So go heal the sick.

It's not even about going, praying for the sick.

It's about going to, to, to heal them.

You know, we're going to go over here, let's look in, in Luke 9 and we've got Luke 9.

I think I've got this one in my notes.

This is, this is a powerful example of this.

In Luke 9, verse 1 and 2, he says, then he called his 12 disciples together and he gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

So there is mentioned again in another gospel, this time in Luke's Gospel.

Now, Luke was a doctor, so he, he really knew the deal when it comes to, came to sickness.

But he gave them power and he gave them authority.

Now these are different words on purpose because, you know, he's talking about a miracle, excuse you, a miracle working power.

But he's also given them authority.

And this is really important.

You know, when, when, if we go all the way back to Genesis, Genesis chapter three was the fall of mankind.

That's when Adam and Eve, they listened to the lies of the enemy.

They listened to the lies of the serpent and they believed the lie that if they, they ate of that fruit, that they would be like God.

Their eyes would be opened and they would be like God, the serpent.

The enemy lied to them.

Now, you know, sometimes the enemy lies to us too.

Maybe not for a serpent manifesting a tree in a garden, right?

But he lies to us too.

He lies to us through temptation, he lies to us through symptoms, he lies to us through deceit, through.

Through even wrong teaching.

There's many different ways that the enemy can lie to us.

But if we look at how God created mankind in the garden, he created Adam and Eve in paradise.

There wasn't any sickness.

There wasn't any disease, there wasn't any lack.

God walked and talked with them in the cool of the day.

He made Adam and Eve in his likeness.

He made them in his very image to be just like him, to look just like him.

They had everything that they would need.

That was how God created the earth to be.

Now suddenly, the enemy pops up.

The enemy comes up and they start to listen more and put more faith in the words of the lying serpent.

They did in their father God.

And so he tricked them out of that authority.

They were given authority.

They were told, they were given a job.

They said, go and take dominion over all of the creatures on the earth.

Have dominion.

Subdue them.

They were given that word to subdue his dominion or authority.

Okay, so it's the same phrase.

And so they were given authority over the enemy before they even met the enemy.

Do you see that?

They were already given the answer before they even had the problem.

But they didn't, you know, they.

They made some mistakes.

They're definitely human.

But, you know, when Jesus died on the cross, so sickness actually entered the right there after the fall, after the fall.

And there was hardship, there was pain.

You know, it says that the.

Eve would have pain in childbirth that came as a result of the fall, right?

The.

The work of Adam's hands in the garden was now painful.

He had thorns in the, in the ground when he toiled.

You know, there was, there was things in the world that were a result of the fall of the enemy that had been allowed to come in that God didn't create in his original design.

And you know, this, this took all of those centuries, all of those thousands of years before the Lord found a virgin in Mary that be willing to believe him.

That could give birth to Jesus.

God's plan to redeem mankind and restore that authority that they gave away in the garden back to mankind.

So now Jesus is saying to his disciples in the Great Commission and in these passages that we're reading that he's this authority, all the authority that Jesus walked in over the enemy.

He's given it to his disciples.

And, and he's told his disciples, go out there, take dominion, subdue, right?

Raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out devils.

You have authority and power over all sickness and all disease.

So they have authority, they have dominion, but also they have miracle working power.

You know, the easiest example I can think of to explain this to you, you know, if you were driving down the road and maybe you're speeding, okay, I'm sure none of you ever do that because you're, you know, you're good Christian citizens.

But if you get a little bit heavy on the accelerator there and you go, and you go past the speed limit and the police officer stops you, you know, he's gonna, in.

Well, this doesn't apply everywhere in the world, but here in America.

I'm from England originally and police officers do not carry guns, but in America they do.

And this is what happens if you get stopped speeding in America, okay?

The police officer is going to stop you and they're gonna, they're gonna show you their badge.

And their badge is a symbol of their uniform, is a symbol of their authority.

They have authority given to the boy by the state, by the sheriff, by the governor, okay?

To stop you, to detain you.

But you know what?

If you won't listen to their words, not only do they have authority, they have power.

And they'll pull out that weapon of power, that gun off their hip, and they will make you obey.

See, they have power and they have authority Jesus gave Adam gave back to mankind where Adam and Eve gave up in the garden.

And that power and that authority that was given over to the enemy in the garden through the, through the deceitful lies of a serpent was given back by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

And so now that great commission should be even more real to us and more exciting to us because we don't just pay this lip service.

No.

What would Jesus do when it comes to sickness?

What would Jesus do when it, when it comes to poverty?

What would Jesus do when it comes to any kind of oppression?

Man, Jesus would use power and he would use authority.

And he demonstrated that all through his life.

Amen.

He demonstrated that all through his life.

And so I want to encourage you today because, you know, we are not helpless in this world when it comes to sickness and disease.

You know, this is, this is actually really, really encouraging, you know, for.

And I mentioned to the beginning, I mentioned this a few times, but I've been healed from a number of different things.

But, you know, many of those things I suffered with for such a long time because I didn't realize as a believer had any kind of power or any kind of authority.

And so every time I got Sick.

You know, I went to the doctors or I took the medicine or whatever it is I needed to do to get better, because I didn't realize that there was another option.

But I'm.

I'm here today to tell you if you're tuning in for the first time, there's another way.

God has given you power, and he's given you authority.

So how does this power and how does this authority work?

Well, power is released through our words.

In Proverbs, he says he's put life and death in the power of our tongue.

You know, when we speak, words have power.

Even the world understands it.

That's why, you know, we could go.

We could do a little survey and ask for the most famous marketing campaigns, right?

And I could throw out some slogans, and you could probably tell me which companies use those slogans.

Why?

Because the world understands the power of words.

But sometimes we forget that.

You know, when I was a little kid, it was a common phrase that went around, and they'd say, you know, when you were little, well, sticks and stones might break your bones, but words will never hurt you.

Has anyone on here ever heard that phrase?

Give me a little hands up if you've.

If you've heard that right.

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt you.

Right.

I mean, this is something that I was told as a kid, and it was common.

You know, teachers and parents would say this, and.

And the.

The intent behind it was good.

It was like, don't worry about what people say.

Don't listen.

Don't get involved in the arguments.

Don't get involved in the fighting.

It's just words.

Words can't hurt you.

It's not like having a.

A broken bone.

It's not like a physical attack.

I understand the sentiment behind that, but actually, it's not true.

It's not true.

I.

Words hurt.

Words will cut.

You know, in the Scripture, words will also heal.

In the Scripture, it says, faithful of the wounds of a friend.

Faithful.

And those are words, right?

Those are words.

Our words carry the power of life and death.

And, you know, Jesus didn't fight a physical fight when he was going, you know, walking the earth.

No, he used his words.

Words are so powerful.

Yeah.

I see some people.

You.

You heard that when you were a kid, too, right?

But the words are so powerful that God created his world with words.

He says, let there be.

And there was.

Let there be, you know, land, let there be moon, let there be sun, let there be stars, let there.

Let there be trees.

And there was because God has creative power in his words.

And so, you know, this little cute phrase, you know, it might have been sent to help us, but honestly is.

It's inoculate.

It was inoculating us against the power of our words.

Jesus used words.

He didn't physically wrestle sickness and disease out of people in hog tie people and, you know, beat it out of them.

No, he didn't use physical power.

He used words.

Words are that powerful that they will create and they will destroy.

And you know, Jesus, this is.

You can see so many different examples of the, of the power of words there in, in the scripture.

But these words need to come out of our mouth.

So what would Jesus do?

Okay, what would Jesus do?

What was his examples?

And how did he train his students, his disciples to react to sickness and disease?

Well, one thing he did was he cursed sickness.

He cursed disease.

Let me show you this.

You can see this.

This is the story of the fig tree, okay?

And if you look here in.

Let me just turn over there, I think it would be easier if I turn over there.

I'm going to go back to Mark.

I do tend to use a lot of scripture when I'm teaching.

Why?

Because in Psalm 107, 20, it says, he sent his word and healed you and delivered you from all your destructions, right?

So we're going to go over to mark 11.

Now, they say this is the chapter that Kenneth Hagin wrote, right?

Because he quoted it so often.

But I want to show you something.

Jesus was in a situation, and he came again across a fig tree on his way back from Bethany.

And he says, seeing from afar a fig tree with leaves, he went to see if perhaps he might find anything on it.

When he came to it, he found nothing except leaves, for it was not the season of figs.

Now, this was a fake fig tree.

It was a fake fig tree.

And it says here, Jesus said to it, may no one ever eat fruit from you again.

And his disciples heard it.

Now, why was he so mad at this fig tree?

Well, I have a bit of a hunch, okay, that maybe one of the trees in the garden wasn't an apple tree.

Maybe it was a victory.

Maybe this, this was a whole thing that came, went back to Genesis chapter three, right?

Maybe that was a fig tree.

Who knows?

But this fig tree, it wasn't bearing fruit in the season it should have been.

And it was a fraud.

It was a fake.

It was a deceptive fig tree.

And Jesus always, he doesn't go with deception.

He's going to curse that deception, right?

Because one of the roles of Jesus being on earth was to destroy every work of the enemy, every lie of the enemy.

He's a destroyer.

He's our.

He's our savior, healer, deliverer, friend, all of those things.

But he's a destroyer of the works of the enemy.

And so this fig tree was mocking Jesus with its very existence by being a fraud.

And Jesus cursed it.

He cursed it with his words.

And it says, they came to Jerusalem.

Jesus went into the temple.

This is where they had the whole thing with the.

With the.

With the money changes and all of that.

But in verse 20, it says, in the morning as they passed by, they came back and they saw that fig tree withered up from the roots.

The fig tree has withered up from the roots.

And the, and, and the disciples were kind of surprised by this.

But it says, Peter says, calling to remembrance, he remembered what had happened the day before.

He says, rabbi, look, the fig tree that you cursed is withered away.

He was shocked.

Jesus wasn't shocked.

He actually goes on to explain what just happened.

When he spoke those words, Jesus answered them.

He says, have faith in God.

Put your trust in God, right?

Have faith in God.

For truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and thrown into the sea.

And does not doubt in his heart, but believes that whatever he says will come to pass.

He will have whatever he says.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things, whatever things you ask when you pray.

Oh, now, come on.

This is where a lot of people get really tripped up when you pray.

I've got this underlined, believe that you will receive them and you will have them.

You.

You see, oftentimes people find themselves in a situation and they'll have people say, well, I'll pray for you.

But they don't mean, I'll pray for you right now.

They don't mean I pray for you.

Then I'm going to curse that sickness and I'm going to curse that disease, whatever is afflicting you.

And I'm expecting it to go right now.

That's not what they say that they mean is I'm going to go.

And in the morning or in the evening, I'm going to add your name to my prayer list and I'm going to, you know, add.

Add your name on that list and.

And I'm going to speak a blessing over, you know, or maybe I'm going to ask God to heal you.

That's usually what people mean when they say, well, I'll pray for you.

That's Never anything that, you know, Jesus didn't demonstrate that.

Jesus didn't say, well, I have a prayer list.

And now listen, if you have a list of people you pray for, there's nothing wrong with that.

But he didn't say, I'm going to go away and think about it and pray for you, you know, in my spare time.

No, no, he dealt with those things in the moment.

And there's a, there's a message in there for us too, right?

He says whatever things you say.

So the word of God needs to be spoken out of our mouth, right?

Whether it's cursing the sickness or whether it's speaking life to the dead, it needs to come out of our mouth.

It means that we need to make sure that we're not in a place where we're saying things, but we're not really believing what we're saying, right?

So that, that is the do not doubt in your heart part of it.

He's saying when you speak it, it needs to be because you believe it.

You know, Second Corinthians 4:13.

It talks, it talks about this.

We believe and therefore we speak.

We can't just say like abracadabra and hope it's going to stick.

We actually have to believe it.

Right?

It needs to be a heartfelt belief.

And then when we speak it out of our mouth, that's activated.

So not speaking it to the mountain and then not doubting in our heart, he says he will have whatever he says.

See, sometimes we're not seeing the results we want because we're not saying what we want.

We're not, it's not coming out our mouth.

You know, this, this is, really, this is really powerful.

I realized this, the power of this when I was 18 years old.

I'd had so many seizures that I'd had some brain damage and I had some paralysis.

I'd lost feeling in parts of my body.

My brain had stopped functioning in different areas and I was in a wheelchair.

I'm not able to walk.

And I'd started to read the Gospels.

I was a year old believer.

I didn't understand about faith.

I didn't, you know, I didn't have a whole, I hadn't been to Bible school.

I mean, I didn't know a lot about a lot.

But I did have faith in the word of God and I believed that God said something, that it was true.

And I started seeing that Jesus had a healing ministry.

And I had this unction.

I believe it's the Holy Spirit really kind of prompting me to do this.

And because I honestly hadn't learned it from anywhere.

But, you know, I had this unction to start speaking to my legs.

The legs I couldn't feel, the legs that couldn't hold me up, the legs that were pretty useless at the time.

And.

And so I didn't.

I felt a bit silly doing that.

And I didn't want.

I didn't want to be embarrassed, so I didn't want people think I was crazy either.

So I waited till I was.

I was home on my own, everyone was out of the house, and, you know, as I was.

As I was at home, I put the brakes on my wheelchair and I started speaking to my legs, and I said, legs, strength come back into you.

Legs you are.

You are standing.

Strong legs, you can bear weight.

You can stand.

And, you know, I had to put some action to my faith, right?

Couldn't just be words that came.

There need to be some corresponding action.

So I put the brakes on my wheelchair and I pushed down on the arms of my wheelchair until I was holding myself in a standing position, just with the sheer strength of my arms and says, legs, you are strong.

Legs you are.

Legs that bear weight.

And one by one, I lifted my hands up until it was just my legs that were holding me up.

I realized in that moment that what had said or had believed in my heart and spoken out of my mouth had come to pass.

Suddenly, my legs had become strong.

You see, that power, that authority was in me the whole time that I was suffering the whole time.

But it wasn't until I started to let that power and authority come out of my mouth and direct it to.

You know, I didn't have a mountain that I was speaking to, but I did have some legs that weren't working.

Those legs were my mountain.

I started to speak to those legs, that mountain, and I started to command them to be strong.

And guess what?

There was enough power in my words, because Jesus was filling my words with power that.

That.

That power went into my legs, and it made those legs strong.

And then I realized, well, hang in a minute.

If I can stand, then I can walk.

And so I. I started to.

I was asking the Lord, like, I don't know how to do this.

Lord, he says, don't worry.

You just.

You just do what you can right now and trust me to do a little bit more.

I'm like, all right, in that case, I can believe I can move my foot just a little bit.

Just maybe a couple of centimeters.

I can do that.

And so I said, let your foot.

You're going to move, you going to take a step.

And as I did that, I put some effort behind that and went to move my, my leg and it moved, my foot moved.

These were useless before and suddenly I'm like, I started to have a bit, got a big sighted at this point and I suppose spoke to my other foot.

I said, other, other foot, you can move too.

And little bit by little bit I started shuffling, shuffling down the hallway in our house.

Man, it wasn't, you know, it wasn't long before I realized that I've, I've walked like 10ft down this hallway.

Now I'm standing by the front door of my house.

What am I going to do?

What am I going to do in this moment?

Am I going to turn around and walk all the way back and get back in my wheelchair?

I'm like, no, man, I can't go back now.

I've got the power of God working in my legs.

I can't go back.

So I open, I opened the door of my front door of my house and I started walking out and walking up the hill, man.

Later that, I mean, I found myself walking a couple of miles and meet up with my friends who are playing tennis.

And I, I played tennis that afternoon when I, I got to that, that tennis court and they said, what are you doing?

You can't play tennis.

I said, well, I couldn't, I couldn't walk a few hours ago either, but, but here we are, you know, you know, that was, that was something miraculous that happened in my life.

But it started because I let the word of God prompt my actions and come out of my words.

So many times.

When we throw out words we don't really mean, we don't really mean and that, you know, we do that as well when it happens in the area of prayer.

In prayer we do this sometimes we throw out things.

We don't really have any faith behind it.

But it sounds good.

It sounds good.

You know, brothers and sisters, there is a difference between faith and desperation.

Jesus was never desperate when he spoke, when he came against the enemy, when, when he spoke to sickness, when he rebuked fever, when he raised the dead, when he opened the eyes of the blind, when he, you know, when he, when he spoke to the bent woman to stand up, he was never desperate.

He spoke words of faith and confidence, fully trusting that there was enough power and authority to get the job done.

Amen.

And so it says here, you know, when Jesus speaking to this victory, this applies to us in every area.

We need to be Speaking to the mountain.

What would Jesus do if he found sickness?

If he.

If he was walking down the street or in your home or sitting next to you today and he found sickness in your body, he would speak to it.

He wouldn't be silent.

He would speak to it with power, with authority, with faith, without doubting in his heart and knowing that as he was speaking in that moment, that moment when he spoke, when he prayed, would be the moment that you would be set free.

When you pray, you will receive, is what it says.

When you pray, when you believe in your heart, the moment that you pray, the moment that that comes out of your mouth, power is released.

More than enough power to heal the sick, raise the dead, or cast out any demon in hell.

You've got more power in your words than you realize.

Why?

Because Jesus put it there.

It's part of the Great Commission you is actually how he intended life to always be, always be.

So I'm going to pray for you, but I'm going to encourage you with something.

Don't give unbelief a voice.

This is really important.

You know, doubts turn into unbelief and they start in the heart.

Don't give unbelief a voice.

Sometimes we can find ourselves when we're dealing with chronic sickness, chronic disease, something that's been around a long time.

You know, we can start to allow that, that doubt and the unbelief to kind of get on the inside of us without us even knowing can almost be like something we don't even realize.

But then it starts coming out of our mouth.

The doubt and the unbelief and the fear.

You know, the scripture says, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

I do not need to be around someone very, very long time to know what they've been listening and meditating on.

I just listen to how they're talking because how we.

How we talk and the words that come out of our mouth is a reflection of what we believe in our heart.

So doubts arise in the heart and usually it comes down to what have we been listening to, what have we been meditating on, what have we been, you know, feeding on spiritually?

What has influenced us?

You know, symptoms can cause you.

Natural symptoms in your body can cause a measure of unbelief, a measure of doubt.

If you've got pain in your body right now, pain is speaking to you, right?

It can.

Sometimes it's even hard to hear properly if you're in a lot of pain.

So pain can cause unbelief as well, but Jesus never gave unbelief a voice.

In other words, he didn't allow that to come out of his mouth.

He didn't allow that to change his words.

Why?

Because he knew that his words were powerful.

And those words cannot be.

Don't restrain them.

They need to come out.

If we want to see change in our body, in our circumstances, it's really important that we start speaking about our situation the same way that Jesus speaks about that situation.

Why?

What would he say?

He'd say, I'm the healed of the Lord.

I'm the healed of the Lord.

He sent his Word and healed me.

You know, in, in 1st Peter 2:24, it says, by Jesus stripes, by his stripes we were healed.

That's, that's actually referring to the chapter in Isaiah 53 where Jesus was crucified and Isaiah wrote, by his stripes we are healed.

That was before the cross.

Peter's comment was after the cross.

So we, we could say the same things about our body.

When, when pain comes into our body, when symptom comes into our body, we can point our little fingers at that and say, stop.

In Jesus name pain.

You go right now we take authority over it.

You know, our daughter Hannah, many of you have heard her testimony.

We just celebrated a 20th anniversary of her healing testimony.

When Hannah was born, she had a really rare autoimmune disease called eosinophilic enteropathy, which sounds really complicated and impressive, but honestly, it's just the enemy.

But you know what?

It was a, it was gonna, it was going to kill her.

That was the assignment.

And she couldn't eat any food.

She was wasting away.

She was three and a half, but she was the size of a nine month old baby.

She was on a feeding tube.

She was pretty much in a vegetative state until one day we got a cassette tape.

And that cassette tape was from a man called Andrew Wommack.

And Andrew Wommack has since become a spiritual father, a mentor.

He's on our board of directors for our ministry and had a massive impact on our life.

But on that tape we learned that, you know, we weren't just going through life and suffering till we get to heaven.

And one day our daughter will be healed in heaven.

Now, we learned on that tape that we have power and authority over every sickness and every disease.

And actually God wanted us.

Well, God had wanted Hannah.

Well, and when we heard that, it changed everything about us.

It changed everything about us.

And we started to get excited.

We got excited.

And so we, you know, Hannah was so so sick.

And the doctors didn't have any more treatment for her.

They didn to deliver but for a few more days.

And so they.

They told us to take her home and maybe bring her back in a few days.

You know, we found out afterwards the reason they said that was because they didn't expect her to.

To live more than a few days, and it would be kind of calmer and more peaceful for her to die at home in her own surroundings.

But, you know, we didn't do that.

We took her to a conference and Andrew Wommack conference, the other end of the country.

And then.

And we sat through the conference and we.

We spoke to him at the end of one of the sessions, and we just asked him, how does this healing thing work for children?

Maybe you're watching today with children and you're wondering as a parent, well, how does this work for my children?

They're too young to understand the truths that you've just shared.

How does this work for kids?

And that was our question.

And he said to us, well, you know what?

You have authority over them because you're the parents.

They're under your authority.

You have power and authority over your children.

I'm like, well, that's amazing.

Once we realized that, we prayed for Hannah and, you know, we didn't.

We didn't ask God to heal Hannah.

We told the sickness to leave her body.

We said, sickness, you know, the symptoms get out in Jesus name.

And Andrew spoke to her intestines, which was the major part of the problem.

He says, you know, you start working.

You start working.

You start breaking down and absorbing and ingesting food as you were created to be.

And so that was it, you know, and it wasn't.

There wasn't any angels or cherubim or gold dust or, you know, anything spectacular that happened.

We just spoke words over Hannah in faith, without doubting, expecting something to change right now when we.

The moment that we prayed.

And then, you know, he left.

And, you know, at the time, Hannah was even sleeping.

She.

She was very unimpressed.

And.

But, you know, when she woke up, we said, you know, while you were sleeping, Hannah, Jesus healed you.

Jesus healed you.

And she says, I want to eat now.

This is a child that has never eaten solid food in her life.

Wasn't able to chew and swallow, wasn't able to keep any, you know, digest any food at all.

And so we said, well, what would you want to eat?

And she said, I want McDonald's.

I mean, that is the power of words.

That is the power of Marketing right there.

You know, the child's never, never eaten a McDonald's in her life, but she wanted McDonald's.

Well, you know what?

We were in a strange town, and.

Which is before we had satellite navigation, right?

And we had a.

So we just drove around, and eventually we found a kfc, Kentucky Fried Chicken.

And that was the best that we could do.

So we went in, and we didn't know what to start with, so we just ordered one of everything on the menu.

And, you know, I'm.

I'm pretty sure that Kentucky Fried Chicken probably isn't the best choice of food for somebody that's never eaten food.

You know, maybe nutritionist wouldn't advise that, but we just figured, like, either she's healed or she's not healed.

Either the word's true or every man's a liar, right?

So we ordered one of everything off the menu.

She didn't know what she wanted because she'd never eaten food.

So we just ordered, you know, ice cream and chocolate brownies and.

And chicken and French fries and, you know, one of everything.

And we laid it all out on the table, and we were there, Ashley and I and our two boys and Hannah and us four.

We weren't eating.

We were too busy watching Hannah eating, you know, and by this point, she'd been unplugged from her feeding tube, and she had a little break of about half an hour every day to kind of clean the machine out and reload it.

And, you know, she started picking up the chicken drumsticks and biting them and chewing them and swallowing them and bite after bite.

And we just all kind of sat there and all watching, watching what God was doing.

But, you know, up until that moment, we had not seen any change in Hannah.

From the moment that she was prayed for, there wasn't any change.

She didn't look any different.

She didn't look any less sick or any more healed.

We had to take that by faith.

We had to take that by faith.

We had to put trust in the word of God, and when that word of God was spoken, that it was not going to return void that it was.

It was going to work effectively in the area where we had sent it, that it would go right into her intestines, right into her immune system, make them start working again.

So when we get to the restaurant, we hadn't seen any outward manifestations of healing.

And then.

But then she started eating and she started swallowing.

You know, this is.

This was several hours after the prayer, and now we're starting to see results we started to see a child that suddenly got color coming back into her face.

And, you know, she, she's chewing and swallowing and not choking for a start.

That's a miracle.

And then she's running around the restaurant.

I mean, this is a child that was literally in a vegetative state.

Now is sitting up, eating, talking and getting off the chair and running around the restaurant.

I mean, it was like, it was miraculous.

We were so excited.

And, you know, we went home from there and we knew that she was healed.

But, you know, there were some symptoms of hers.

And usually it went like this.

When, if you ever tried to feed Hannah, or even if she just had food through the feeding tube into her stomach, she would start this little cough and this little cough would start into more of a choke.

And then she would be gagging.

And then, man, everything would come out right, Projectile everywhere.

It was terrible.

And that, that little cough, that little gagging sound, that reflex was the beginning of the end.

That was, that was the start usually of being symptomatic.

And so in the car on the way home from, from kfc, on the way home from that conference, when she started to do that little choking, and she's in the car seat at the back of the car, she started to make that little gagging reflex.

And suddenly we realized, hang on a minute.

We realized what we'd learned on that tape that we've been given as disciples as, as part of the great commission, that we've been given power and authority over all sickness and all disease.

Well, like, I think it was my husband turn around, points his finger at Hannah and says, choking, stop in Jesus name.

And immediately that choking symptom stopped, just like that.

And me and Ashley looked at each other like, what just happened?

What just happened?

Because this is really important.

You see, we knew that when Andrew Wommack prayed for her daughter that he had power and authority.

But now we started to realize something else.

We have power and authority, right?

It's not just the man of God, the anointed man of God that has power and authority.

No, we also, as everyday believers, have power and authority in our words too, over every sickness and every disease.

And I think, you know, it was one time in the night, like that night, she woke us up at like 2 o' clock in the morning with the same little symptoms, the same choking.

And again we spoke to that thing, choking, gagging, you stop right now in Jesus name.

And immediately is stopped again.

And you know, since, since that day, she was never plugged back into that feeding machine.

Feeding tube.

She never had any more medication, she never had any more treatment from the doctors.

And then we actually took her back to the hospital and they did run a whole battery of tests and they said, we don't know what's happened, Hannah.

She was at the Great Ormond street, which is one of the best children's hospitals in the world.

This is.

We do not know what has happened to you, Hannah.

There, there is no explanation for, for what we have seen other than this is a miracle.

And I said, that's fine.

You can write that in her medical record.

You, you spell miracle.

M I, R, A, C, L, E. That, that'll be just fine.

So right there in her medical records, they had to write, it's a, it's a miracle.

They had no words to understand.

They could not.

You know, the natural world cannot understand the supernatural world, but words are powerful.

And so what would Jesus do in those, in situations where he ran into a three, three and a half year old that was dying, he'd speak to it and not allow doubt to rise up in his heart, but he'd speak to it and he'd expect the moment that those words left his mouth that there'd be a result.

And you know, we have followed that pattern throughout our life.

And since that day, I was 20 years ago, but since that day we have seen miracle after miracle after miracle.

You know, brothers and sisters, receiving healing is not complicated.

It's not complicated, it's just it need.

It needs to be according to the word of God.

Needs to be according to the word of God.

And doctors and nurses.

I'm not against the medical profession.

I used to be a nurse many, many years ago.

But they can only measure for things that they can see.

They can't test for faith.

But you have faith on the inside of you.

You have the faith of the Son of God on the inside of you.

You have the authority and the power in Jesus name to cure all diseases and all sickness, to cast out demons, to raise the dead.

You have that same power that quickened Jesus mortal body and raised Jesus from the dead.

Quickening your mortal body right now.

That same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the same power that lives on the inside of you.

This is the very same power.

So do I have anyone on here that is ready to receive healing?

Ready to receive.

Give me a little, give me a little wave if you're ready to receive healing in your body.

Because I'm getting to pray.

Yeah, that's right, Vernon.

You can speak over yourself.

We don't have to be passive in this.

We don't even have to have been to Bible school, right?

Bible school is awesome.

It's going to help you.

But, you know, we don't have to have been born again for decades and decades.

If you've got, if you've received Jesus into your heart, then that's everything you're ever going to need to walk in victory over these things.

Amen.

So if you've got, if you, if you need prayer right now and if you're ready to receive, I'm going to pray for you.

And I believe that power is going to, is going to go into your body and it's going to relieve you of those symptoms.

And I want you to have an expectation in your heart that it's now.

Not just, just, you know, in years to come, but it is right now.

It's right now.

So put your hand up to, to the screen if you are ready to receive.

Thank youk, Lord, all over the world.

Thank youk, Lord that yout're right there with them, closer than you've ever been, never been separated.

And right now, in Jesus name, we take authority over every sickness, over every disease, and we command it to go now in Jesus name.

Every lying sickness and lying disease, leave right now.

Thank you, Lord.

Thank you Lord, that your healing power is flowing through these believers from the top of their head to the very soles of their feet.

That every trace of sickness, every infection, bacteria, virus will leave their body right now, shrivel up, die every cell of infection, leave.

Every inflammation, every symptom of cellulitis, leave.

In Jesus name we call that inflammation, that redness, that soreness, that stiffness to leave your body, that necrosis to leave your body right now.

In Jesus name.

Thank you, Lord.

We command that pain.

If you got pain in your body.

I see people on here.

If you've got pain in your body, put your hand.

So remember, these hands are healing hands.

You can say that you said that about your hands at the beginning.

These hands are healing hands.

Put it right there where the pain is right now.

Put it right there.

Straightened up all the way.

There is the power of God right now flowing down your spine from the base of your skull to your tailbone, your coccyx, even down into your little toes.

That sciatica is leaving you.

That nerve pain, that impingement is being released.

There's a straightening, there's an alignment.

There is a releasing of tension in the back.

In Jesus name, thank you, Lord.

We command that those spasms to leave.

Even the sharp shooting pain, the sharp shooting pain that you get in your back and down your legs right now.

We command that to stop, be released in Jesus name.

Thank you, Lord.

Right now we command cancer.

The cancerous cells in your body.

We curse them at their root.

We curse them at the root.

We command them to leave, shrivel up, die, get out of your body.

No more cancer in your cells or even in your blood.

Cancer cancelled.

There is a.

There is a condition where the connective tissue in your body reacts with each other.

It's a connective tissue disorder is what I'm hearing.

By the Holy Spirit.

There's a connective tissue disorder right now.

The Lord is correcting that for you.
