I know the power of this work, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into it.

I drifted in my life for nearly four years. I had no direction. Certainly didn't dare to dream of a better life. I was pretty much just accepted. Getting myself to the weekends and holidays. It was a life that felt lazy life the thought average one that lacked energy, and motivation. And then life had other ideas. In my drunken haze, I can remember my daughter rolling off the change table. And somehow I just lunged and grabbed just enough jumpsuit to stop her from smashing into the ground face first. My first thought was, I've got to be better than this. I got to be better than this for my child. Then teammates No, no 10 months later, and probably just a few months later, my dad passed away and my whole life came crashing down. And the old to real confirmation that life isn't forever obvious living life like it was that it was forever while there was no rush. And that things will just take care of themselves. I'd say all the time, say to my wife, say to friends, everything will work out. And to a certain degree that's true. But if you're in no hurry, if you're just happy to drift all in will kind of work out but not on your terms end up living life and other people's terms. Oh. So despite being absolutely devastated, it was a slap in the face that reminded me that I've got to be better. It's not the life I wanted for me, for my wife and for my children are sick of feeling tired and sick of feeling average. But the only actually rather large problem was that I had no idea how to change. You know, I spent the next six years spinning my wheels not really knowing what to do. There was so tough wanting change but just not being able to make any progress was desperate for things to be different but without having a direction and the knowledge or the skills to do anything about it I stuck. And it wasn't really until I got my first coach that things started to change. Before I'd worked with him directly I listened to every piece of audio we had and watched every video read every article and often cringed because I was sure of two things that I need to pay for a coach which gave me because it was way outside my financial comfort zone. Like I said previous episode that was one of the things that I was really searching for financial security. I had so much self doubt and fear about how that change would negatively impact my life. I wasn't looking at the positives I was worried about how they might negatively impact my life. Probably what I realized now and know now is I was scared of success too. Because particularly in Australia and probably in other parts of the Western world as well. When you stick your head above the parapet when you kind of stand out. People will come to you. They'll try and cut you down. Bring you back to reality or what they want for your reality.

But when I knew was ready, what jumped? And I'm forever grateful that I did. And like many of my clients say to me and I kept saying to myself if I had done this years ago, How different could my life have been? Because it couldn't take back my past and neither can you.

For me, I went about creating a new and better future. Starting with creating a clear direction for my life, and dreaming be for the first time in my life, then you can do that too. Interestingly, happened. When I had direction, I've got energy, studying confidence, started feeling motivated. Like I said, this is possible for you to do to put pen to paper today. And write down an all new future for your life. Just a stream of consciousness, start writing, what do you want life to be like? And if you're not sure what good looks like to you can think of what you don't like the other stuff you hate, and write the opposite. It's not too late to change. It's never too late to change. Good writing. Enjoy the ride.
