Takeaways:
And now for something completely different.
David Spoon:Here's what's coming up this hour on today's Experience.
David Spoon:It's Expository Thursday.
David Spoon:Expository Thursday.
David Spoon:As we work together to know the letter better into the narrative of the Book of Colossians, we travel to understand what things the Lord requires of us as we learn to apply God's timeless truth truths in our lives.
David Spoon:First, picking it back up in Colossians 2, we're going to be jumping into verse nine with a quick backtrack to verse eight produces one of the strongest declarations you will ever see in the framework of Scripture.
David Spoon:I'm sorry, did I say that right?
David Spoon:Verse 9 is one of the strongest declarations you will see in the framework of Scripture.
David Spoon:Again, it's very helpful for people to understand.
David Spoon:I'm Baptistal.
David Spoon:I have such a dark, deep appreciation for multitudes of denominations.
David Spoon:I love them.
David Spoon:And I don't believe that we should be fighting over our differences scripturally, but rather celebrating our overall unity, which is in the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:Verse 9 says, for in Christ all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form.
David Spoon:I'll say it again because I want you to hear it.
David Spoon:For in Christ all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form.
David Spoon:I'm not sure what the disconnect is, but in Jesus is everything.
David Spoon:You can't split Jesus away from the Father or the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:The fullness of the Godhead.
David Spoon:The Godhead is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:That's in Jesus bodily form.
David Spoon:Finally, verse 10 says, you have been made complete in Christ.
David Spoon:So in Christ you are complete.
David Spoon:You do not lack any gift.
David Spoon:You do not lack anything.
David Spoon:Do a quick reference on First Corinthians 1, 4:7 and you find out that we come behind in nothing.
David Spoon:Because in Jesus we have everything and we have been made complete in Jesus.
David Spoon:I'm not sure how to say that any better because I pretty much feel like God did an excellent job saying it right there.

David Spoon:Welcome to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Local, national and heavenly talk.
David Spoon:Here's what else we're looking at during the show Lessons for Surviving Living and Prevailing politics, Entertainment and current events, personal revelations, spiritual observations.
David Spoon:My life's insanity is an oy vey.
David Spoon:So much more.
David Spoon:We've already talked to Captain America yesterday about the fact that it's not professional radio, because it's not.
David Spoon:It's just radio.
David Spoon:But we're asking you, what do you think?
David Spoon:What can we do to bless you?
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:That's the text.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Well, by golly, you'll end up talking to Jammin Jacob.
David Spoon:Talking to Jammin Jacob is like putting your teacup down on the table a little too loud so it bangs.
David Spoon:But it's also that same feeling you get when you're being appreciated.
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):If you would have just said the teacup, I might have had to play the Debbie Downer sound.
David Spoon:I don't know, put my keyboard in there and goes, hey, at least it didn't spill.
David Spoon:Right now I'm just happy it didn't get all over all that stuff.
David Spoon:I put it down, everything starts moving around because everything's so close on the desk, like, oh, all right.
David Spoon:So here's the bottom line.
David Spoon:The bottom line is, if you call, don't ask Jacob to give you his whole story from the moment he was born.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:In other words, that's my nice way of saying, when you talk to him, it's okay to tell him you appreciate him, okay to give him a little bit of information if you think it's necessary.
David Spoon:But don't spend an hour talking to him while he's trying to do the show, okay?
David Spoon:That's because he's doing the show.
David Spoon:You get that?
David Spoon:Now, why would you call us?
David Spoon:Why would you text us?
David Spoon:Why would you email us?
David Spoon:Many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many reasons.
David Spoon:You could be a praise reporter.
David Spoon:Can be a praise report or a testimony.
David Spoon:Something you just want to share with, something the Lord has shown you and you're trying to flesh it out, make sure it's right.
David Spoon:Maybe something you just want to talk about.
David Spoon:Maybe you've got a question about something.
David Spoon:It's not easy to answer a premillennial dispensationalist response to an all millennialist or a post millennialist in a very short show.
David Spoon:So we do the best we can.
David Spoon:But we do the best we can.
David Spoon:We'll leave it there.
David Spoon:You can just only do your best before the Lord do your best, pray that it's blessed and let Jesus take care of the rest.
David Spoon:Okay?
David Spoon:That's what you gotta do.
David Spoon:So let's just be aware that you can contact us for praise reports, for prayer requests, because you need to petition, you need other people's faith to join your faith to get where you're trying to go.
David Spoon:I think you guys understand.
David Spoon:I ask you of that every day when we're talking about the finances.
David Spoon:I just like, I want you to join me in that.
David Spoon:That's a prayer request I'm dropping on you guys.
David Spoon:Maybe you've just got something you wanna share.
David Spoon:Maybe the Lord gave you a great scripture, a most beautiful sunset.
David Spoon:Maybe you were really discouraged and the Lord showed you one thing.
David Spoon:I remember when I was much younger as a Christian and I was really in the still living at home, still in that first year on fire off, on fire off kind of thing.
David Spoon:And I remember I was really discouraged and I told the Lord, you know, I'd just love to have some indication from you, something somewhere that you would just show me like right now so that I can just know you're aware of what I'm going through.
David Spoon:At that moment, this guy and Gail pulled in front of my mom and they must have had 10 bumper stickers all about Jesus.
David Spoon:And that put the biggest smile on my face.
David Spoon:It just like, thank you, Lord.
David Spoon:Thank you, that's so kind.
David Spoon:That's so awesome.
David Spoon:So maybe you've got something that happened like that.
David Spoon:Maybe you just wanna share.
David Spoon:Maybe in fact you have an answer to Bible trivia.
David Spoon:Which handmaid woman was the mother of Ishmael, Tamar, Damarius, Iscah, or Hagar?
David Spoon:Which handmaid woman was the mother of Ishmael, Tamar, Damarius, Iscah or Hagar?
David Spoon: and then Genesis: David Spoon:Those are both perfect for you to figure it out.
David Spoon:If you think you know, you can reach out to us.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Davidemasincreased.org david@hemustincreased.org I got to answer Aunt Deb on one thing real quickly.
David Spoon:She was wondering if the first 30 minutes was planned because of what took place in the last couple days.
David Spoon:The answer is no.
David Spoon:It was written 40 plus days ago.
David Spoon:Just so you can know before it ever entered anybody's mind.
David Spoon:God helped me put some of that down on paper.
David Spoon:Just want to let you know that I just think things like that are cool.
David Spoon:Yeah, okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:So we got that stuff going on.
David Spoon:You know what's taking place.
David Spoon:We're asking a straightforward question.
David Spoon:What handmaid woman has.
David Spoon:What handmaid was the mother of Ishmael?
David Spoon:Was it Tamar, Demarius, Iscah or Hagar?
David Spoon: and Genesis: David Spoon:In the meantime, with no slowing down, we're going right into our DNA.
David Spoon:D stands for Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:So, Jacob, when you hear the word daily, what comes to mind?
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
David Spoon:I think that's a valid way to define daily.
David Spoon:I do.
David Spoon:And then, you know, what you do is you rinse and repeat.
David Spoon:You just keep doing that and keep doing that and keep doing that the.
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):Whole rest of the show.
David Spoon:Just keep just.
David Spoon:And like your shampoo.
David Spoon:Rinse and repeat.
David Spoon:Rinse and repeat.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:Just keep doing great.
David Spoon:You got it.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:Why?
David Spoon:Because it will change your life.
David Spoon:That's why.
David Spoon:So I just want you to know it will change your life.
David Spoon:You want your life to be better.
David Spoon:I have the answer.
David Spoon:What's the answer, Dave?
David Spoon:Jesus.
David Spoon:You get that?
David Spoon:Okay, I just want to make sure everybody gets that.
David Spoon:What's your answer?
David Spoon:Jesus.
David Spoon:More of Jesus.
David Spoon:I have enough of Jesus.
David Spoon:No, you don't.
David Spoon:Nobody does.
David Spoon:Draw closer to the Lord daily.
David Spoon:D N.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:Never, never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:I'm telling you, this is something I want to bring up, and I'm just going to bring this up and just make sure everybody understands this.
David Spoon:I don't want people to think that Jesus is that peace, loving, everything is perfect.
David Spoon:He never says anything to people, to challenge people.
David Spoon:Do you remember the woman who was caught in adultery?
David Spoon:And then she was caught in adultery and they brought that woman in the midst and they brought her before Jesus.
David Spoon:Remember that situation.
David Spoon:And Jesus is like, he who's without sin among you.
David Spoon:Let him throw a stone at her, stooped down, wrote down on the ground.
David Spoon:Those who heard it began, convinced by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the eldest, even to the last.
David Spoon:And Jesus was left alone.
David Spoon:And the woman was standing in the midst.
David Spoon:Jesus raised himself up and saw no one but the woman.
David Spoon:He said, women, where are your accusers?
David Spoon:Has no one condemned you?
David Spoon:She said, no one, Lord.
David Spoon:And Jesus said, neither do I condemn you.
David Spoon:Go and sin no more.
David Spoon:You see that part right there?
David Spoon:That's the part that doesn't get taught.
David Spoon:Which is weird because there's more words in that than the other words.
David Spoon:Neither do I condemn you.
David Spoon:Go and sin no more.
David Spoon:When we do something wrong, when we're doing something wrong, when the lifestyle is wrong, when the actions are wrong, when they're not Christlike, when they're not Christian, like Jesus doesn't go, hey, don't worry about it.
David Spoon:Love is love.
David Spoon:Jesus first message in Matthew 4 was, repent.
David Spoon:Look, if we're doing something wrong, you bring it before the Lord seeking his mercy, and you seek it through repentance.
David Spoon:You come before him and say, oh, please help me.
David Spoon:And he will.
David Spoon:But he will also say, go and sin no more.
David Spoon:Never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:I read an article from Newsweek, a godless magazine, telling Christians they're not following their Christian faith.
David Spoon:How would a godless magazine like Newsweek know that they don't know who Jesus is from a brown paper bag?
David Spoon:You gotta beware of false prophets.
David Spoon:It's very important.
David Spoon:So d draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready.
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):To serve.
David Spoon:To serve.
David Spoon:Always ready to serve.
David Spoon:And what that really means is instead of spending so much time fulfilling our lustful desires, we should be a little bit more accurate and in tune to seek to fulfill the kingdom desire that God has.
David Spoon:What's that prayer in the Sermon on the Mount?
David Spoon:Father, who art thou in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
David Spoon:Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
David Spoon:See how those are connected?
David Spoon:The will of God being done on earth is the kingdom of God on earth.
David Spoon:That's how we need to think of it.
David Spoon:The kingdom of God is where God is king.
David Spoon:Very important to understand that.
David Spoon:And we need to live our lives with him as the king of our lives.
David Spoon:No, it doesn't go perfectly.
David Spoon:The disciples did dumb things, and they did some sinful things, but they did dumb things, right.
David Spoon:Some things were dumb.
David Spoon:Okay, fine.
David Spoon:We do dumb things, we do sinful things.
David Spoon:But we bring it back to the Lord and get it straight.
David Spoon:And he washes us.
David Spoon:He's got no limit to his mercy.
David Spoon:But you have to bring it.
David Spoon:You don't get an open check just to send your brains out.
David Spoon:Otherwise you've never been touched by Jesus.
David Spoon:That's the truth.
David Spoon:D Draw closer to the Lord daily and never be ashamed of Jesus or his words.
David Spoon:A Always be ready to serve.
David Spoon:Your trivia question.
David Spoon:We will reiterate it and then I'm going to go into a short teaching.
David Spoon:What handmaid woman?
David Spoon:She was a handmaid.
David Spoon:What woman?
David Spoon:Handmaid woman was the mother of Ishmael?
David Spoon:Was it Tamar, Iscah or Hagar?
David Spoon: and: David Spoon:And here we go on some of the teaching.
David Spoon:We are for those who do not know in the book of Colossians.
David Spoon:And we are in fact at verse eight of chapter two, a pivotal, pivotal verse that I was not able to get to the last time.
David Spoon:And here's what the apostle says.
David Spoon:See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy or empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:When people talk and speak in the name of God and they do it based on their philosophy, whether it's political or whether it's religious philosophy, it doesn't matter if it's not based on Jesus Christ, it will take people captive.
David Spoon:And Christians are told not to buy into it.
David Spoon:Sometimes you'll go through something, you'll hear something and you'll go, you know, there's part of what that person is saying is true, but there's this whole other part that doesn't seem like it connects and jives.
David Spoon:And that's because what the devil does is he takes a little bit of truth and he marks it up with a lot of lie and puts it together as a new truth.
David Spoon:But any truth that contains lies are lies.
David Spoon:And so the apostle's concerned, he's warning them, he's telling them, be aware, be careful.
David Spoon:See to it that nobody takes captive, takes you captive through some kind of philosophy, some kind of system of thought, or even empty deceptions which are based on human traditions.
David Spoon:That's number one.
David Spoon:And spiritual forces in this world, which is demonic.
David Spoon:It means the fallen man has a philosophy, a way of thinking, and demons have a way of thinking, an influence on man's fallen philosophy and the way we think, we cannot afford, as Bible believing, born again Christians to be taken captive by sinful or demonic philosophies.
David Spoon:And if it wasn't possible, he wouldn't have warned against it.
David Spoon:We must not let that take place.
David Spoon:We need to stand our ground.
David Spoon:It is on Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone.
David Spoon:And he is The Savior saving people from sin.
David Spoon:You know who's going to hell?
David Spoon:Everybody.
David Spoon:Unless they get on the lifeboat.
David Spoon:Jesus.
David Spoon:Because man sent himself in the direction of rebellion against God.
David Spoon:The only salvation is Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:And if people don't like it, tough.
David Spoon:God's not going to apologize for it.
David Spoon:He doesn't owe anybody anything ever.
David Spoon:Dave, can you eat a 20 and be nice?
David Spoon:We'll see.
David Spoon:What handmaiden woman was the mother of Ishmael?
David Spoon:Was it Tamar, Damarius, Iskah or Hagar?
David Spoon:And the answer is Hagar.
David Spoon:Hagar is the answer.
David Spoon:I probably should have said kind of like pants, but just leave that alone.
David Spoon:Hagar is the answer.
David Spoon:We'll take a short break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the true station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break, will be back.
David Spoon:Go anywhere.
Gary:Who is David Spoon?
Gary:I have no idea.
Gary:People have asked me about the David Spoon Experience.
Gary:They wanted to know what I thought of him.
Gary:Like any person searching for answers, I have wondered about him.
Gary:He was born and raised Jewish and after intense drug use became a Christian.
Gary:He's married to his best friend Noel, has three children, six grandchildren and a dog named Bert.
Gary:He has three separate ordinations from three different denominations and is a summa cum laude for his BA Degree in ministry and leadership as well as a master's degree of theological studies and has his doctorate of Strategic Christian Ministry.
Gary:He has a weird sense of humor and talks a lot.
Gary:If people are seeking wisdom and insight from the great teachers around the world, would they go to David?
Gary:No, I don't think so.
Gary:And those big ears really don't help him.
Gary:But would they enjoy his perspective on life, culture, politics, food, sports, local and national news?
Gary:I don't know.
Gary:I guess people will have to listen to find out what is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:Then he says this.
David Spoon:Don't be afraid.
David Spoon:Why should you not be afraid?
David Spoon:Because what fear does is immobilizes a person, stops them from moving forward.
David Spoon:And it also eats away at faith.
David Spoon:Fear has this way.
David Spoon:It's kind of like if you think of faith as I'll do this now as chocolate ice cream that has peanut butter in it.
David Spoon:That's faith.
David Spoon:Fear is like somebody drilling a hole underneath and then taking a little spoon and then pulling some of that faith down a little, scoop by scoop by scoop by scoop.
David Spoon:And you don't want your faith reduced because God requires faith to us to engage with him in.
David Spoon:That's his requirement.
David Spoon:That's the vehicle by which he has chosen to engage with humanity.
David Spoon:You don't think God could have said, it's me you're going to believe or I'm going to turn you into a fish.
David Spoon:I mean, you don't think God could have done that.
David Spoon:But he chose the vehicle of faith because that's what he wanted from those that would come to him, a confidence, an assurance in the goodness of God.
David Spoon:So Jesus, the first thing he says, ignore it, don't be afraid of it.
David Spoon:And then he does this one radically crazy, nutsy cuckoo line, just believe.
David Spoon:And we use that in movies and in books and in fairy tales and all that stuff.
David Spoon:We're not talking about any of that stuff.
David Spoon:This is believing.
David Spoon:Looking at a situation just like Abraham did, just like we talked yesterday, how Abraham looked at the circumstance, didn't deny he was old, didn't deny he was past childbearing, and said, I'm just going to believe God anyway.
David Spoon:That attitude of just believe, it's taking a stand in the framework of your faith that says, I'm not moving.
David Spoon:Here I am.
David Spoon:Call me bulldog.
David Spoon:I'm right here.
David Spoon:I'm not going nowhere.
David Spoon:My faith is solid.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Ka.
David Spoon:Amen 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Getting ready for your next trivia question.
David Spoon:I hope you guys are ready for the next trivia question.
David Spoon:I'm just asking.
David Spoon:Are you ready?
David Spoon:Are you ready?
David Spoon:Are you ready?
David Spoon:Are you ready?
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:What two cities were rained upon by fire and brimstone from the Lord out of heaven?
David Spoon: Genesis: David Spoon:What two cities were rained upon by fire and brimstone from the Lord out of heaven?
David Spoon:Your reference point.
David Spoon: Genesis: David Spoon:If you think you know.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:You can also text, by the way, David, at hemustincrease.org so the way that a lot of people answer David that he must increase.
David Spoon:Additionally, you can send an email.
David Spoon:Isn't that nice?
David Spoon:Email davidhemustincrease.
David Spoon:Org David so you can call, you can text, you can email, you can get outside in the front of your house and do a really nifty dance, give the answer, videotape it, send it to my email, and then I can see it after the show is over.
David Spoon:I'm not saying you be like early on the answers, but you could.
David Spoon:I mean, I'm just saying you can pretty much do whatever you want.
David Spoon:All right, so a couple things I do want to remind people of.
David Spoon:We are going to be heading into Malachi on Mondays in about four or five weeks.
David Spoon:Everything else seems to be great.
David Spoon:I'm still waiting to hear from Julianne on whether or not she got the approval for a stay angel.
David Spoon:And I know they're supposed to hear tomorrow, so I would be deeply appreciative if you guys would pray and just bring that before the Lord as a petition, because I do think.
David Spoon:I think it's just critical, important, and it would be really helpful for her.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right, great.
David Spoon:Somebody is ready to answer a trivia question.
David Spoon:So let's have them come on board.
David Spoon:Send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is David.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Will Rogers:This is Gary.
Will Rogers:How are you today?
David Spoon:I'm doing pretty good, Gary.
David Spoon:I'm pretty much like, at 99%.
David Spoon:I haven't went to the gym yesterday, so I felt good enough to go to the gym, which is a good sign of being past that sickness.
David Spoon:But keep praying for me.
David Spoon:It just, you know, you never know.
David Spoon:Just seems like the enemy comes in at the weirdest times, and it's like, you know what I mean?
Will Rogers:I'll keep praying for you.
David Spoon:Keep doing it, because I have a feeling on Friday that's gonna be an interesting day.
David Spoon:Just ahead of time.
David Spoon:Just getting that sense.
David Spoon:All right, let me set you up with a question, and then we want to pray over you, if that's cool.
David Spoon:Is that good?
David Spoon:All right, let's do it.
David Spoon:What two cities were rained upon by fire and brimstone from the Lord out of heaven?
Will Rogers:It was the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
David Spoon:That is correct, amundo, sir.
David Spoon:100% correct.
David Spoon:And you gotta, you know, if you think about all the things that God has done, it's got to be pretty bad after the flood that God goes, well, I'm not going to flood this place out, but I'm going to fry it to pieces.
David Spoon:That has to be pretty bad.
David Spoon:I mean, they have to go pretty far when God said, I'm not going to do it the other way.
David Spoon:But that doesn't stop me from doing it this way.
Will Rogers:That's where, you know, we get the term sodomy from.
Will Rogers:Sodom.
David Spoon:Exactly.
David Spoon:Exactly.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:And how anybody could think that's okay is just even weirder than everything else.
David Spoon:Right?
David Spoon:It's just that same immorality.
David Spoon:Let me pray over you, my brother.
David Spoon:Let's do it.
David Spoon:Father, we come before you right now.
David Spoon:We lift up our brother Gary and We love our brother Gary, and he's our brother.
David Spoon:He's our blood relative.
David Spoon:And he has faith in you, Lord.
David Spoon:He has faith in the healing power that comes from you.
David Spoon:We have faith in your healing power.
David Spoon:And we are asking you.
David Spoon:We know you can do anything.
David Spoon:Anything.
David Spoon:There is nothing impossible for you to do in the realm of righteous and good and wholeness.
David Spoon:And we ask you to bring that power into his body.
David Spoon:We know you can do it.
David Spoon:And we ask you to do it.
David Spoon:We're not wondering if you can.
David Spoon:We know you can.
David Spoon:We are asking you to do it.
David Spoon:In this situation, we understand our need to be yielded to you, but you understand our desire to see that power manifested in his life.
David Spoon:Not one of us will prosper from it except for him and your name.
David Spoon:And let it be so exactly that way.
David Spoon:Heal him from top to bottom and his circumstances and the things that are around him that are just more difficult and more frustrating, that they would be less frustrating and that there would be healing and there would be deliverance.
David Spoon:We're not going to stop praying for him.
David Spoon:We're just going to keep petitioning you persistently.
David Spoon:And we look forward to the testimony he will share.
David Spoon:We lift this up to you and pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Will Rogers:Amen.
Will Rogers:Thank you very much.
Will Rogers:And I will continue to pray for you and all of you.
David Spoon:Thank you, brother.
David Spoon:I appreciate you.
David Spoon:God bless you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Excellent job there by Brother Gary.
David Spoon:Love it.
David Spoon:Let's go back into the text.
David Spoon:We only got a couple of minutes and then we'll do that briefly.
David Spoon:I lost one sheet of paper.
David Spoon:I got to see if I can find that.
David Spoon:That'll always be fun.
David Spoon:When I'm teaching, if a piece of paper goes missing, it doesn't have a little click thing where you click it and goes, here, I'm over here.
David Spoon:So I'll have to hunt through my 5,000 pieces of paper to see if I can find it.
David Spoon:In the meantime, let's go back to verse nine.
David Spoon:And I'm not going to be able to do the whole thing right here now, because I have to do some of it in the next section.
David Spoon:But I want to start with verse nine.
David Spoon:This is what it says for in Christ.
David Spoon:So we were just talking about philosophies and empty deceptions.
David Spoon:Philosophy is a process of thought.
David Spoon:It's a thinking strategy.
David Spoon:And so these thinking strategies, there's ones that are demonically moved and there's ones that come from sinful man, and they're empty and they're useless and they deceive.
David Spoon:Paul's challenge is what needs to happen is our strategies of thought need to be based on Christ.
David Spoon:That is what our strategies of thought need to be based on.
David Spoon:You need to face your picture, face the image, face the mountain with Jesus in the picture.
David Spoon:Not with worldly thoughts, not with demonic, but with kingdom thoughts.
David Spoon:And so then he goes on to affirm why this is so important.
David Spoon:Why is that so important?
David Spoon:Well, why do we need to fix our philosophy on Christ?
David Spoon:Verse 9, for in Christ.
David Spoon:The phrase for in Christ means because of what I just said.
David Spoon:Here's why.
David Spoon:In Christ, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form.
David Spoon:Anybody hears that passage and that annoys you, you need to check your spirit.
David Spoon:That passage should annoy nobody.
David Spoon:All the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily full.
David Spoon:You can't split Jesus up, away from the Father and the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:I just want to keep that clear.
David Spoon:You don't get well, I got the Father, but I don't have the Son and the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:I got the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:I don't have the Father or the Son, or I got the Son.
David Spoon:I don't have the Holy Spirit or the Father.
David Spoon:It doesn't work that way.
David Spoon:And one of the most beautiful images, and it's a whole book called the Dance.
David Spoon:And it's not.
David Spoon:We're not talking about Garth Brooks stuff.
David Spoon:It's this dance where you're dancing on the floor with God and in one moment he's the Father, and then you go to make the next move and he's the Son, and then you go to make another move and it's the Holy Spirit.
David Spoon:And that's how interchangeable it all is.
David Spoon:And you're not splitting these up.
David Spoon:You don't come behind anything.
David Spoon:Once Jesus is in your life now, in the truthfulness and the application, Jesus is in your hearts by faith and the Holy Spirit lives inside of you.
David Spoon:Actually, that's how the system is.
David Spoon:The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to continue and fulfill the ministry of Jesus on earth.
David Spoon:That's why Jesus is at the right hand of the Father interceding for us, and he would not leave us as orphans.
David Spoon:That's why the Holy Spirit's inside of us.
David Spoon:And all these principles work together in a unified principle.
David Spoon:You got Jesus, you have what you need.
David Spoon:Just in case you're wondering, I just want to make sure I drop this in there before people start losing their minds.
David Spoon:First Corinthians 14.
David Spoon:I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God, which is given to you by Jesus Christ, that you were enriched in everything by him, in all utterance and in all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you.
David Spoon:So you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:In Jesus, you are not behind.
David Spoon:Could there be more activity in your life of the Holy Spirit?
David Spoon:Of course.
David Spoon:As soon as you're ready for it, open to it, willing.
David Spoon:You're not lacking on God's end of supply.
David Spoon:We are lacking on our end of actualizing.
David Spoon:That's a big difference.
David Spoon:All right, we'll take our break and then come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station air in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break, we'll be back.
David Spoon:Don't go anywhere.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon Experience?
David Spoon:The fat portions from the firstborn of his flock.
David Spoon:He gives.
David Spoon:Listen, Abel gives the best of what he has from the first of what he has, the fat portions from the firstborn.
David Spoon:So let's understand what that really means.
David Spoon:That means that from the blessings and the bounties, he gives in the beginning the best that he's gotten.
David Spoon:And he gives that to God.
David Spoon:While in Cain's situation, it wasn't that he wasn't offering flocks.
David Spoon:That's ridiculous.
David Spoon:People work soil, people work flocks.
David Spoon:You give God the best of what you've got from whatever you're doing.
David Spoon:And Cain brought some of the fruits.
David Spoon:The difference in Cain's description and Abel's description is that Cain brought some, while Abel brought the fruits first.
David Spoon:The best of the firstborn.
David Spoon:One of them brought leftovers, one of them brought the best over.
David Spoon:You understand that difference?
David Spoon:One was left over, one was the best over.
David Spoon:Now, I'm going to take you from that text.
David Spoon:We're just flying through this to Revelation 3.
David Spoon:So we go from Genesis 4 to Revelation 3, covering 66 books in two minutes.
David Spoon:To the angel of the church at Laodicea, write, these are the words of the amen, the faithful, the true witness, the ruler of God's creations.
David Spoon:I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot.
David Spoon:I wish you were either one.
David Spoon:So because you are lukewarm, neither cold or hot, I'm about to spit you out of my mouth.
David Spoon:Yes, the Greek word is throw up.
David Spoon:Upchuck should be the actual word there.
David Spoon:But Jesus said, I'm.
David Spoon:I'm going to go, blah.
David Spoon:I'm going to throw you up.
David Spoon:What do you mean?
David Spoon:Because in their commitment to the Lord, they were wishy washy.
David Spoon:We Went through a whole political season on flip flopping and all this other stuff.
David Spoon:Like great, great, great, great.
David Spoon:That stuff's so old it's not even funny.
David Spoon:This church at Laodicea cannot make the decision to go best.
David Spoon:Maybe not best.
David Spoon:Sometimes the best, maybe not always the best.
David Spoon:Maybe some of the worst, maybe some leftovers.
David Spoon:Maybe none of that.
David Spoon:Maybe we'll figure it out.
David Spoon:We're just gonna.
David Spoon:That's a wishy washy commitment to the Lord and Jesus is so, so nice about it.
David Spoon:He goes, I'm going to throw up.
David Spoon:You bleh.
David Spoon:What?
David Spoon:Cain brings some.
David Spoon:The church at Laodicea.
David Spoon:Yeah, yeah, whatever.
David Spoon:God is not a bill that you pay afterwards.
David Spoon:God is not somebody that you give on the back end of.
David Spoon:Once you've gone through everything, this is what I have left over.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at Kaam 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:That's Ka Men 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:We do have a friend of the show who's gonna be calling in in a moment.
David Spoon:But before we do that I do wanna send you to the website.
David Spoon:I think they're calling in now.
David Spoon:So go ahead and grab that.
David Spoon:Jacob.
David Spoon:So I do wanna talk to you a little bit about the money, money, money.
David Spoon:And I don't like talking about it.
David Spoon:It's what I gotta do.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:If it was up to me.
David Spoon:Okay, listen, I've already told this to the Lord.
David Spoon:Not that the Lord pays attention to me in these things.
David Spoon:I think he ignores me actually in these things.
David Spoon:Cause I'm highly irritating, I think.
David Spoon:But in the overall thing I've asked the Lord just give us enough money where I never have to ask for money.
David Spoon:So we can just do the ministry, pay the bills.
David Spoon:I don't even care.
David Spoon:We don't own a house.
David Spoon:We haven't owned a house in years.
David Spoon:I don't care if we never own a house.
David Spoon:It doesn't bother me.
David Spoon:I mean, Noel would like it, but I don't care.
David Spoon:It's like, look, I just want enough to keep doing it.
David Spoon:If I didn't have to ask you, I never would.
David Spoon:But we need to because that's the situation.
David Spoon:And I have a feeling that the Lord's not going to let that change until I let that go.
David Spoon:Yes, that's an issue for me.
David Spoon:Thank you.
David Spoon:Bottom line is, look, we could use some help.
David Spoon:It was a really, really tough four weeks.
David Spoon:We've not come out of that hole yet.
David Spoon:I'm hoping that by this weekend.
David Spoon:We will make a dent in it.
David Spoon:If you can give, that's awesome.
David Spoon:If you can't do, do not worry about it.
David Spoon:I do not want anybody to be manipulated or to feel coerced or to feel like they're obligated.
David Spoon:But I do want you to be obligated to pray for us.
David Spoon:Cause I don't think that's inappropriate to ask.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Check out the website and the giving opportunity@hemustincrease.org prayer request.
David Spoon:Hemostincrease.org praise report.
David Spoon:He mustincrease.org looking to give to this ministry.
David Spoon:Hemustincrease.org confused by what's happening right now.
David Spoon:Hemustincrease.org hemustincrease.org Mr.
David Spoon:Owl, how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?
David Spoon:A good question.
David Spoon:Let's find out.
David Spoon:1, 2, 3.
David Spoon:So good.
David Spoon:The answer is 3, just in case you're wondering.
David Spoon:Okay, we do have somebody on the line, right?
David Spoon:Let's send them on through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Joy:Hi, Dr.
Joy:David.
Joy:You're so fun.
Joy:This is Joy and.
David Spoon:Hi, Joy.
Joy:Loving the show.
David Spoon:I'm glad you guys are liking it.
David Spoon:That's good.
David Spoon:That's good.
David Spoon:It's a good thing.
David Spoon:Good thing.
Joy:Hey, I have a couple of praises and this is kind of in the line of, you know, the Bible verse that says before, before they call, I will answer.
Joy:Seems like Isaiah, but I should have looked it up.
David Spoon:But that's okay.
David Spoon:Go ahead.
Joy:It's.
Joy:It's a.
Joy:It's a wonderful concept.
Joy:Well, a couple things happened to me this week.
Joy:Early in the week, I was just wishing.
Joy:I don't think I even prayed it.
Joy:I was just wishing that my brother and my nephew could come over and just to see them and do a little praise and worship with them.
Joy:That very night they both came over my nephew's hear from out of town and my brother's so busy, he works full time and takes care of his beautiful disabled wife.
Joy:And just we hadn't even seen him in quite a few weeks.
Joy:So that was such a blessing.
Joy:They actually came over to help me tweak my air can my heating in my new Jesus house.
Joy:The audience may know that as of a couple of months ago, I moved into my beautiful Jesus home.
Joy:But it's an old house.
Joy:It's over 100 years old.
Joy:So it has a little, you know, needs a lot of work and tweaking.
Joy:But those two helped me.
Joy:And now the house is Even warmer.
Joy:It was cold earlier this month and I was able to fix it with some silver tape.
Joy:I shut a door upstairs in the attic on the H vac and that really helped.
Joy:But then there were two little other breaches and it was kind of hidden underneath the unit.
Joy:And my brother and my nephew helped me and I told them, I said, you know what?
Joy:I was kind of wishing this morning I'd get to see you too.
Joy:And the Lord did that.
Joy:And then one other thing happened yesterday.
Joy:I'm part of a Zoom prayer group with my Oral Roberts University nursing friends.
Joy:We graduated back in 77, so of the past two years, we've been connecting by Zoom and they're all over the country.
Joy:Well, yesterday one of my nurse friends came from Seattle.
Joy:She was on layover in Dallas, and Cordelia and I enjoyed having her over at my Jesus house.
Joy:And I, I, I'm going to call it my Yeshua house for her because she's a Jewish believer.
Joy:And I got to take her to my church's prayer group last night and they loved meeting her and she prayed the shama over a friend there and it was just such a glorious experience to have her over.
Joy:So I'm just praising the Lord for the chance to show hospitality in this home and that, you know, I'll be able to do it more and more.
Joy:And I do you prayer that I'll catch up.
Joy:Like you talked about earlier, you know, we do need to catch up.
Joy:There's just so much going on and I do want to be fruitful.
Joy:So thank you for letting me share that.
David Spoon:Doctor.
David Spoon:That was great.
David Spoon:That's good.
David Spoon:First of all, the testimony about helping get more help on the air conditioner or on the heater.
David Spoon:Now, I think most people know it's going to get a little warmer in a couple of days, but it ain't there yet.
David Spoon:It's just like, it's like, yeah, okay, I'm glad it's getting, but it'd be nice to get and that's awesome that they came out do that and then also that you have that connect.
David Spoon:And I love how you put it because it's like, it's your Jesus house, it's your Yeshua Hamashiach house.
David Spoon:It's your house for the Lord and you want it to be dedicated that way.
David Spoon:But yes, I know exactly what you're talking about because you need help catching up and getting things kind of put maybe aligned a little nicer.
David Spoon:You don't want to say line up all my ducks, because that's when God pulls Out a shotgun and starts shooting ducks, you just want to say, Lord, just align it the way you want it to be.
David Spoon:So let me pray over you that a prayer of praise and a prayer of request for the Lord to help you in that.
David Spoon:Okay, let's pray that.
Joy:Thank you.
Joy:I love it.
David Spoon:Thank you, Father.
David Spoon:We come before you right now.
David Spoon:I thank you for Joann and Cordelia.
David Spoon:They're wonderful, wonderful sisters in the Lord.
David Spoon:And we are.
David Spoon:We're very thankful for her getting help.
David Spoon:I mean, that's just before they call.
David Spoon:I mean, that's your word, Lord.
David Spoon:That's your Isaiah 65, 24.
David Spoon:Lord, I will answer them before they call.
David Spoon:While they're still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers.
David Spoon:That's you.
David Spoon:That's who you are.
David Spoon:And you helped her in that.
David Spoon:And Lord, what a great blessing to fellowship.
David Spoon:Fellowship is always a strengthening.
David Spoon:And how often Paul said, I was strengthened by the coming of Titus.
David Spoon:And just that refreshment that we have for one another, that too, is such a blessing to which we just say thanks.
David Spoon:We don't deserve it.
David Spoon:We greatly appreciate it.
David Spoon:And Joanne and Cordelia, same situation we're in as a ministry and many people are in.
David Spoon:It's like you kind of get a sense, Lord, we get that sense that something good is coming, but we got to hang on till that around the corner comes.
David Spoon:And, Lord, we're asking for that to be swiftly moved in our direction.
David Spoon:Not for our selfishness, but certainly for your glory, that you might just open these little doors, make these provisions, make these things.
David Spoon:It's not hard for you, Lord, but you do want us to have faith that it's going to happen.
David Spoon:You know what, Lord?
David Spoon:We believe.
David Spoon:We believe you show us your glory.
David Spoon:And so we pray that very prayer for them personally, for people in the audience, for myself, in the ministry.
David Spoon:We ask for your help.
David Spoon:And you know what, Lord?
David Spoon:We know you're answering before we're even calling.
David Spoon:And we love you for that and appreciate you.
David Spoon:We pray all that in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior here.
David Spoon:Amen and amen.
Joy:Amen.
Joy:Thank you, Dr.
Joy:David.
Joy:This wonderful prayer and praying for Julianne and Jared and the stay angel situation and of course, for Gary and everybody else.
Joy:And we're glad you're feeling better, but we're going to pray that you have more and more stamina after all you've been through.
Joy:So bless you.
Joy:Thank you.
David Spoon:Thank you so much.
Joy:Grateful.
David Spoon:Appreciate it.
possibly a sponsorship voice):Appreciate you.
Joy:Okay, thank you.
Joy:Bye bye.
David Spoon:Bye bye.
Joy:Thank you.
David Spoon:All right.
David Spoon:Excellent job by Joy Ann, Joyne and Cordelia, we're gonna do a little bit on this teaching, and then we'll probably break.
David Spoon:But let's see.
David Spoon:I was gonna say something, and now I can't remember what it is.
David Spoon:So if you were Steve Martin, you'd go, oh, I remember.
David Spoon:I'm radioactive.
David Spoon:Shake.
David Spoon:Anyway, here is this next portion, this being complete in Christ.
David Spoon:So now being bapticosal.
David Spoon:I'm telling you this as a brother on both sides.
David Spoon:And the reason that I bring that up is I don't want anybody thinking, well, he's more Baptist than Pentecostal.
David Spoon:He's more Pentecostal than Baptist.
David Spoon:No, I'm not.
David Spoon:I'm more Jewish than I am anything.
David Spoon:I mean, I'm Christian Jewish, but I mean, that's what I am more than anything.
David Spoon:And the thing about this is I have a difference of approach, as many Baptistals do, that it's not a matter of you having an entire second experience when you get saved, as much as you and I opening up to the fullness of what the experience is in Christ.
David Spoon:That's just my take.
David Spoon:It's not a weird take.
David Spoon:Most, I would say many, many theologians have that take.
David Spoon:In fact, most Baptists are much more Pentecostal than they'll admit.
David Spoon:And then most Pentecostals are much more Baptist than they'll admit.
David Spoon:And why is that?
David Spoon:Well, we always want our team to win, don't we?
David Spoon:Even if it's the Lions and they didn't win, we'll just move on from there.
David Spoon:Here's what I want you to be aware of.
David Spoon:In Jesus, you have what you need.
David Spoon:Does that mean you're open to everything Jesus will bring in your life?
David Spoon:No.
David Spoon:You should be.
David Spoon:You can be.
David Spoon:You're invited to be.
David Spoon:But what we do is we think, well, that's all I need.
David Spoon:I'm more convinced after being a Christian for a while that I am nowhere close to.
David Spoon:I have everything going the way it needs to go now.
David Spoon:I spend a lot of time with the Lord.
David Spoon:I spend a lot of time in fellowship.
David Spoon:I spend a lot of time with ministers.
David Spoon:I do a lot of that, right?
David Spoon:I don't even close, but I don't even think of it in those terms.
David Spoon:I think of it as more.
David Spoon:More.
David Spoon:I want more because I want as much of the Lord as my life.
David Spoon:Because I'm not stupid either.
David Spoon:That makes it better for me.
David Spoon:And that's what each and every one of us needs.
David Spoon:Each and every one of us needs more of him.
David Spoon:Even if we're super close or not super close.
David Spoon:If you're not super close or if you're really, really far away.
David Spoon:I mean, if you say to the Lord, I'm far away, please help me get closer to you.
David Spoon:Do you think he's going to go?
David Spoon:No, I don't think so.
David Spoon:I don't like that prayer.
David Spoon:No, no, no.
David Spoon:If you think that, then you have a very weird concept of God or you've been very wounded and you need to change that because he wants to spend eternity with you and I, so why wouldn't he get close to you?
David Spoon:Just think of it in those terms, right?
David Spoon:It's like, wow, right?
David Spoon:Wow.
David Spoon:We need to think that through.
David Spoon:Maybe a little better.
David Spoon:He wants more of us.
David Spoon:Okay, let's agree with him and connect to him.
David Spoon:We'll take a short break, then we'll come back.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas.
David Spoon:Short break.

wn (possibly a contest voice):And you can be the first person in your neighborhood to win.
wn (possibly a contest voice):What is it?
wn (possibly a contest voice):It's a contest.
David Spoon:How do I play?
wn (possibly a contest voice):It's simple.
wn (possibly a contest voice):And there's three ways to win.
wn (possibly a contest voice):You can go to Facebook, type in David Spoon Media and on any Facebook post, type in the word Jesus in the comment section and it's free.

wn (possibly a contest voice):This is your chance to win, and it's free.
wn (possibly a contest voice):What do I win?
wn (possibly a contest voice):You can win 100 thank yous right on air.
wn (possibly a contest voice):It's incredible.
wn (possibly a contest voice):It's unbelievable.
wn (possibly a contest voice):But it's only for a limited time.
wn (possibly a contest voice):Enter.
wn (possibly a contest voice):Now, here's a taste.
wn (possibly a contest voice):Thank you for listening to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:What is the David Spoon Experience?
(possibly a character voice):Oh, no.
(possibly a character voice):It's not on his tail.
(possibly a character voice):It's on his face.
(possibly a character voice):I've ruined it.
(possibly a character voice):Oh, no.
(possibly a character voice):Well, that's okay, though.
(possibly a character voice):Somebody else will come along and get it right.
wn (possibly a contest voice):Thanks for coming to my birthday party, Stewie.
(possibly a character voice):Oh, I wouldn't have missed it for anything.
(possibly a character voice):I've never been to a party before.
David Spoon:Want to watch me blow out the candles?
(possibly a character voice):I would love to see that.
(possibly a character voice):And gosh, Bobby, I'd love to play with some of your birthday toys, but only after you've played with them and only if you say it's okay.
David Spoon:Welcome back to the David Spoon Experience.
David Spoon:Thank you for joining us here at KAM 770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:It says K double Amen.
David Spoon:770, the Truth Station here in Texas.
David Spoon:I'm sorry, I thought those two fills today were those two little things with our thing.
David Spoon:Absolutely.
David Spoon:Excellent.
David Spoon:That's all I'm gonna say.
David Spoon:We're gonna do one more trivia question.
David Spoon:We need to be quick.
David Spoon:So if you're calling, it's a speed thing.
David Spoon:Cause we're gonna do a trivia question, we're gonna do a history, and then we're gonna do the rest of the teaching.
David Spoon:Here's your trivia question.
David Spoon:You guys should be able to get this from Psalm 51.
David Spoon:It says, Restore unto me the joy of my Is it love, salvation, forgiveness, or kindness?
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:From Psalm 51.
David Spoon:Right.
David Spoon:51:12.
David Spoon:51:12.
David Spoon:Restore unto me the joy of my Is it love, salvation, forgiveness, or kindness?
David Spoon:If you're calling in, you must be quick.
David Spoon:Okay, that's all I'm going to say.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon: -: David Spoon:Send them on Through.
David Spoon:Knock, knock.
David Spoon:This is.
David Spoon:Who am I talking to?
Will Rogers:Will Rogers Salvation by.
David Spoon:Oh, my brother.
David Spoon:What a great job.
David Spoon:Yahoo.
David Spoon:Will is so good.
David Spoon:He's so good.
David Spoon:Did you get that?
David Spoon:They say.
David Spoon:Here it is.
David Spoon:Will Rogers salvation Goodbye from Psalm 51.
David Spoon:Restore unto me the joy of my salvation.
David Spoon:Guess what?
David Spoon:Your salvation should have a joy to it.
David Spoon: ame prayer David did in Psalm: David Spoon:Restore unto me the joy of my salvation.
David Spoon:Excellent job, Will.
David Spoon:Big, big props.
David Spoon:Thank you, sir.
David Spoon:Let's do history real quickly.
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):Let's go live faith in the past.
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):Let's go live faith in the past.
David Spoon:Only three things to do on this one.
David Spoon:Today is National Handwriting Day, which is why I am one of the reasons why they invented a word processor.
David Spoon:You can ask anybody who's ever seen my writing.
David Spoon:That goes without saying.
David Spoon:Number two, it's snowplow Mailbox hockey Day.
David Spoon:And for those that do not know what happens is the snowplows.
David Spoon:Every once in a while they get extra points if they can knock a mailbox into, like, the next district.
David Spoon:Don't do it.
David Spoon:But it's funny.
David Spoon:And finally.
David Spoon:Did you like that one?
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):I was just going to say we will never experience that here in Texas.
David Spoon:Probably not.
David Spoon:And then the last thing is National Pie Day, and so let's just do that really fast.
David Spoon:National Pie Day.
David Spoon:What's your favorite pie?
Jacob (Jammin Jacob):I'll go apple.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:I'm going to go pecan.
David Spoon:Pecan pie is my favorite.
David Spoon:This is always the same since I love pecan pie.
David Spoon:All right, there you go.
David Spoon:Now back to this teaching.
David Spoon:Just.
David Spoon:I only got four minutes and then the show's over.
David Spoon:But just listen to what Jesus says.
David Spoon:And again, I am being baptistal on purpose, so you guys should know that.
David Spoon:Verse 10.
David Spoon:So we just did verse 9.
David Spoon:For in Christ, all the fullness of him dwells in bodily form.
David Spoon:Verse 10.
David Spoon:And you have been made complete in Christ.
David Spoon:Okay.
David Spoon:And you have been made complete in Christ.
David Spoon:What are you complete in Christ?
David Spoon:Who is the head over every ruler and authority?
David Spoon:Who's in charge?
David Spoon:Jesus.
David Spoon:Well, Dave, in Russia, they're doing this.
David Spoon:And in China, they're doing this.
David Spoon:In America, they're doing this.
David Spoon:In Canada, they're doing this.
David Spoon:Here.
David Spoon:I'll just read this again and see if it applies.
David Spoon:And you have been made complete in Christ.
David Spoon:Who is the head over every ruler and authority?
David Spoon:He doesn't mean everyone.
David Spoon:Isn't it amazing how those words never apply when they apply every ruler and authority?
David Spoon:You think stuff's happening where God's going, oh, God never Says oh, we say oh.
David Spoon:He doesn't say oh.
David Spoon:So in Christ we have all the fullness of the deity dwells in bodily form.
David Spoon:10.
David Spoon:And you have been made complete in Christ.
David Spoon:You can't unwrite this, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
David Spoon:And then it says this in verse 11, which is in him.
David Spoon:You were also circumcised.
David Spoon:Did you know you're circumcised?
David Spoon:I'm sorry, Dave, I'm a female.
David Spoon:Did you know you were circumcised?
David Spoon:In the putting off of the sinful nature with the circumcision performed by Christ and not by human hands.
David Spoon:What does that mean?
David Spoon:That means the old you got cut.
David Spoon:The old you has been cut by Christ.
David Spoon:Well, Dave, why are we still fighting then that tension between the old and the new?
David Spoon:Why is it not.
David Spoon:Because it's super clear you're going to hate this, that Jesus has to stay in heaven until the appointed time, which will be the second Coming, where the full redemption of our salvation is manifest.
David Spoon:That's why.
David Spoon:Here's the answer.
David Spoon:Ready?
David Spoon:Because death still exists.
David Spoon:The fullness of the redemption of the law has not taken place practically.
David Spoon:And if you die, you will not be separated from the Lord.
David Spoon:You'll be with the Lord, but the fullness manifested to everybody has to wait until the time appointed when Jesus returns.
David Spoon:And yes, I know everybody's got this, that and whatever theory on the return.
David Spoon:Here's the same response you and I ought to have regarding that thought process.
David Spoon:It's how the whole book ends.
David Spoon:Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.
David Spoon:That's what we should be praying.
David Spoon:That's what you should be asking.
David Spoon:That very thing.
David Spoon:Nothing different.
David Spoon:Even so, come quickly.
David Spoon:That's what we want.
David Spoon:But in the meantime, Jesus has empowered you and I not to live in the old.
David Spoon:We've been circumcised.
David Spoon:The too much flesh part has been cut off.
David Spoon:The only question is whether we're walking in Christ or not.
David Spoon:Any.
David Spoon:Any person in Christ is a new creation.
David Spoon:That's not the problem.
David Spoon:The problem is there's days we wake up and we don't walk in Christ.
David Spoon:That's the problem right there.
David Spoon:Do you get that?
David Spoon:That's super important.
David Spoon:We look forward to it.
David Spoon:You should know that God has given you everything you need in Jesus Christ.
David Spoon:You are complete in Christ.
David Spoon:Does that mean you're using everything?
David Spoon:No, but you got it.
David Spoon:Maybe we should be a little more open to it.
David Spoon:What if it gets weird?
David Spoon:So what?
David Spoon:This whole thing is weird, isn't it?
David Spoon:I think it is excellent job by Will Rogers.
David Spoon:I want to give him mega props.
David Spoon:That was the fastest it's ever been done.
David Spoon:So he will get that title.
David Spoon:Fastest ever done.
David Spoon:We are done with the show.
David Spoon:You're listening to the David Spoon Experience right here on Kaam 770, the truth station here in Texas, taking a 22 and a half hour break.
David Spoon:Then we'll come back, more insanity with spirnanity.
David Spoon:Talk to you then.
David Spoon:Who knows when a broken heart will.
Joy:Man.
David Spoon:Broken hearts don't die.
ssibly David Spoon's co-host):They just grow.
David Spoon:Just when I think I.
David Spoon:The views expressed on the preceding program were those of the speakers and not necessarily those of kaam, DJRD Broadcasting or its sponsors.
