Shownotes

As a child, I couldn't stand asparagus, spinach, peas in fact most green vegetables.  Also wine, beer and spirits and, now I love them. How is that even possible? My nephew says it’s because our taste buds are getting old - which in turn means we are getting old. Well I’d rather have it that way if it means I can enjoy sipping a dram of whisky.

Our guest Jason Clark never wanted to be in the drinks industry. His parents owned a bar and when he was up and ready to play they were still in bed. He even had to make them coffee to rouse them in the morning.

Strange how things turn around and now not only is he in the bar industry but he has been recently appointed Brand Ambassador for Talisker Whisky. This is after an incredible journey already of winning competitions and even owning his own bar. All from a guy who had planned to spend his whole life outdoors.

Jason will describe what’s on tap for Talisker’s Race to Skye competition.

Our Cocktail of the Week is the Talisker Campfire Hot Chocolate.

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Talisker 10-year-old, or Storm
  • 50ml Hot water
  • 60g Dark Chocolate
  • 150ml milk (can be dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate powder
  • 10ml golden syrup
