In today’s episode, Nkechi has a discussion with Tamara Steele, who is known for her fierce and consistent representation of the Black community on Prince Edward Island (PEI). Tamara has lent her voice to speaking up about the issues affecting the black community,and being at the forefront of protests supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. In 2019, Tamara joined the Black Cultural Society of PEI and has become its president. Tamara talks about conquering imposter syndrome, finding her voice while taking center stage by leading and advocating for the black community. She is also gives us the scoop on how she was able to get the courage to quit her comfortable Government job to work with the Black cultural society.
