Amanda Paolicelli:

What is up radiant icons?

2

:

And welcome to the first ever

episode of Dare to Be Iconic.

3

:

I am your host, Amanda Paolicelli.

4

:

Before we go into our tea time sesh

and I spill all the tea about my life,

5

:

I dare you to go to daretobeiconic.com

6

:

and subscribe to my newsletter

so that you can join our

7

:

beautiful radiant icon community.

8

:

So how do you dare to be iconic?

9

:

What does dare to be iconic mean?

10

:

How do you get to dare to be iconic?

11

:

And how did I get to dare to be iconic?

12

:

How did I get into this dare to be iconic

mindset where I embrace my iconic self?

13

:

How did this all start?

14

:

Our tea time sesh is starting now, and

it starts with a little heartbreak.

15

:

Let's get into it.

16

:

Now, I genuinely know in my soul that

my Dare to be Iconic origin story

17

:

started with a little heartbreak.

18

:

And then you know what?

19

:

I don't even know why I'm saying little.

20

:

It was a big heartbreak.

21

:

It was very traumatic.

22

:

And I can laugh about it now because I'm

so far removed from the situation, but

23

:

I genuinely believe that my traumatic

breakup changed the trajectory of my life.

24

:

Because if it didn't happen the way

that it did, which I will get to in

25

:

a second, I would not be the person

that I am today, and I can confidently

26

:

say that I truly love who I am.

27

:

But anyway, let's dive into what

actually happened in my breakup.

28

:

So I was in a long-term relationship

for about three and a half years, and

29

:

I was at the stage in that relationship

where we were future planning.

30

:

So we were talking about marriage, we

were looking at rings, we were looking

31

:

at places to move out of state together.

32

:

All these like really big adult things

that I genuinely never would've like

33

:

thought of me doing in my entire life.

34

:

I was doing it.

35

:

I look back at that time and

I'm like, "What was I doing?"

36

:

I was never the girl who was like,

"Oh my God, let me plan my wedding.

37

:

I'm gonna have this certain

type of wedding dress look."

38

:

And I could care less what

I was wearing to my wedding.

39

:

I wake up Monday morning,

th,:

40

:

So I open the email from my ex and

it's like, "I left you a little

41

:

something at your front door."

42

:

Didn't think anything of it.

43

:

I mean, yeah, it was strange.

44

:

I was like, "Why is he

leaving me an email?"

45

:

But okay, like whatever.

46

:

I'm just, I'm gonna go to the front

door and see what he has for me.

47

:

So I go to the front door and I see

this box the size of a dresser, like

48

:

literally the size of a dresser,

y'all, with a letter on top, and

49

:

the letter is addressed, "Amanda."

50

:

That should have been my

first clue, but it wasn't.

51

:

I disregard the letter and I go to

open the box and I see all the gifts

52

:

that I had given him within our

three and a half year relationship,

53

:

and I was like, "What is this?"

54

:

I open the letter and within the

first two lines, my ex ended our

55

:

three and a half year relationship.

56

:

Hot & Healing Ad: Okay, radiant icons,

I promise we will get back to the piping

57

:

hot tea, but first I have something

very iconic that I want to share.

58

:

This month we will be celebrating 100

episodes of the Dare to Be Iconic podcast.

59

:

And for the last 100 episodes, radiant

icons, we have talked about healing,

60

:

confidence, and daring to become

the most iconic version of yourself.

61

:

But the most powerful part of

this iconic community isn't just

62

:

what happens on the podcast.

63

:

It's what happens when we

come together in real life.

64

:

And don't just take my word for it.

65

:

Here's what our radiant icons have to

say after experiencing our first Radiant

66

:

Icon Club meetup, our hot and healing

picnic Hi, I'm Trish, and I wanna tell

67

:

you a little bit about my experience

at the Hot and Healing gathering today.

68

:

First of all, I'm just

so glad that I came.

69

:

It was something that I needed.

70

:

It was very impactful in an intimate

setting, a freeing setting, feeling

71

:

safe, where I was able to get vulnerable

with girls that I didn't even know.

72

:

But now I'm gonna be leaving here with

a sisterhood, which is so special.

73

:

Um, I encourage any of the girlies, you

guys gotta come to the next Hot Healing.

74

:

It's so impactful.

75

:

Get ready to release what does not

serve you, and get ready to reclaim-

76

:

Period … what benefits you.

77

:

Okay?

78

:

Period, pooh.

79

:

Six out of five stars.

80

:

Actually, 11 out of 10

stars for Hot and Healing.

81

:

So are you ready to experience the

iconicness for yourself, radiant icons?

82

:

Then make sure to join us for Becoming

Iconic, a Hot and Healing experience, an

83

:

85

91

:

I cannot wait to celebrate

with you radiant icons, and

92

:

I'll see you very, very soon.

93

:

Now let's get back to the piping hot tea.

94

:

He ended three and a half years

of our lives through a letter,

95

:

and then requested that we never

talk again, and then blocked me.

96

:

And everyone I knew.

97

:

As you can see, that was traumatic.

98

:

So for the months following the breakup,

I really let what he wrote about me in

99

:

that letter define how I saw myself,

and I really let it dictate the course

100

:

of my life for about two months.

101

:

And I remember getting to the end of 2023

being like, "I am so tired of running

102

:

away from every single thing in my life."

103

:

I was running away from myself, I

was running away from my family, I

104

:

was running away from my friends.

105

:

I was pretending to be okay when

really I was just a broken mess on

106

:

the inside because, again, I was

truly letting his words define me.

107

:

I was letting his actions

dictate who I was.

108

:

I truly thought in my mind that

his actions were a reflection

109

:

of me and not him, when in fact

it's the complete opposite.

110

:

Someone else's actions will always

be a reflection of them and not you.

111

:

Someone else's words do not

define how you see yourself.

112

:

All that truly ever matters

is how you see yourself.

113

:

But at that time, I couldn't see that.

114

:

So what did I do?

115

:

I embraced the dare to be iconic mindset.

116

:

Dare to be iconic basically means that

you are daring to be yourself, that

117

:

no matter what room you walk into, you

are so comfortable and confident with

118

:

who you are at your core, that you're

choosing yourself and stepping into

119

:

your power and creating that life that

you want for yourself because you are

120

:

embracing your iconic self Whenever you

put yourself first and make yourself

121

:

a priority, it opens up the doors for

amazing opportunities to fall into

122

:

place because you are loving who you

are and we're unapologetic about it.

123

:

So that's exactly what I did.

124

:

2023 was my year of growth, and honestly,

it was one of the best years of my life

125

:

because by embracing that mindset and

embracing my iconic self and stepping

126

:

into my power and doing things for me

for the first time in my life, I was

127

:

truly able to get to know who I am, and

that's what Dare to be Iconic is all

128

:

about, getting to know who you are at

your core and loving it no matter what.

129

:

So how can you do it, too?

130

:

So here are some steps on how you can

dare to be iconic in your daily life.

131

:

You're gonna hear me say this a lot, but

you need to make yourself a priority.

132

:

You need to choose yourself first.

133

:

I am the biggest advocate out

there for the choose yourself

134

:

journey, and you need to go on it.

135

:

If you want to change your life and

step into your power and be confident

136

:

and comfortable with who you are,

you need to choose yourself first.

137

:

Then you need to embrace

what life throws at you.

138

:

So all those question marks when things

that you don't understand are happening

139

:

to you, like why they are, embrace them.

140

:

They are happening for a reason,

so lean into it and learn from it.

141

:

See it as an opportunity for growth.

142

:

One of my favorites is

turning your pain into power.

143

:

Now, I don't mean to toot my own

horn or anything, but I am the

144

:

queen of turning my pain into power.

145

:

That basically means turning a

shitty situation or something

146

:

really horrible happening and

making it into a source of strength.

147

:

Find what is holding you back that

you no longer have control of and

148

:

make it into a source of strength.

149

:

And then my last one is you

need to surround yourself

150

:

with a supportive community.

151

:

So whether it's your friends, your family,

or joining our beautiful Radiant Icon

152

:

community, you need to be able to lean

on others for support to hype you up

153

:

when you're not able to hype yourself up.

154

:

And that is our tea time session

for today, radiant icons.

155

:

I am so excited to have you guys here for

this new chapter of Dare to be Iconic.

156

:

Make sure to leave a review and follow

which is a favorite of mine.

158

:

I'm teaching you how to break up with your

past and fall in love with your future.

159

:

That's right, we're turning

pain into power, which is a

160

:

subject that I am an icon on.

161

:

So remember, icons, dare to be iconic.

162

:

I'll see you next time.

163

:

Bye.

164

:

Welcome to the Fashionably Single podcast,

where single life meets real talk.

165

166

:

of house, so he had to take his shoes off.

167

:

We were playing cards, drinking, and

then all of a sudden he starts rubbing

168

:

his foot on my leg and her co-host,

Jessica So he leaves me at the table, he

169

:

gets his suit, he goes back to his car.

170

:

I'm thinking he's

dipping out on this date.

171

:

I just told him I don't want to marry
