Matthew 11:28 to 30

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

For a hurried and rushed people these are refreshing words. Weary and burdened is how many of us would describe ourselves. That makes the invitation and the meaning of Matthew 11:28-30 even more enticing. While this verse is popular and often quoted, the true depth and beauty are sometimes missed. By looking at the meaning of Matthew 11:28-30 we can better understand what Jesus has invited us into.  

Today, you will be reminded that no matter what struggles you may face in life, you can always find comfort and solace in turning to Jesus. He offers to take on your burdens and guide you through the challenges you face, leading you to a place of rest and peace. Remember that you do not have to bear your burdens alone, but can rely on Jesus to walk with you and offer you his gentle and loving care.
