Today, I have an excerpt from an interview with Dr. Wilfried Schmeller from our Lipedema Worldwide Summit that was held in 2016. Dr. Scmeller is a surgeon in Lubek, Germany. In this excerpt, he talks about first learning that liposuction surgery could benefit women with lipedema and his experience with it. He briefly discusses 2 long term studies he did with women post-surgery, then talks about the typical aftercare post-liposuction. Dr. Schmeller also discusses the fact that liposuction surgery is not for everyone.
