Episode 27: Crucifying the Bible and Reclaiming Your Voice

Content Note

This episode includes discussion of religious deconstruction, spiritual harm, and leaving high-control belief systems.

Episode Description

This week on The Awakening, Tamara and I sit down with Deborah Grace, author of Crucifying the Bible.

Deborah shares her personal journey of deconstruction — what led her to begin questioning, how she navigated leaving behind rigid religious dogma, and the experiences that ultimately inspired her to write her book.

After decades of deep involvement in the church, Deborah began studying scripture more closely, which led her to challenge long-held beliefs and ultimately walk away from Christianity to rebuild her understanding of truth and identity.

We talk about the process of untangling belief systems that once shaped your identity, the courage it takes to walk away, and how Deborah is now helping others who are finding their way out of harmful religious environments.

This conversation is honest, empowering, and a reminder that reclaiming your voice is possible — even after years of being told who you should be.
