We’ve reached Episode 50, and to celebrate this milestone, we're covering the blockbuster 8 Mile Soundtrack with MJ from the Menage with the MariJayne Maven Podcast! This multiplatinum soundtrack is the companion piece to the 2002 Curtis Hanson film, 8 Mile, which stars Eminem. Eminem is also the star of the soundtrack with his mega hit, "Lose Yourself", a song that has won an Oscar, a Grammy, topped the Billboard Top 100, and has been streamed over a billion times on Spotify.

We discuss the soundtrack, which also helped launch the career of 50 Cent, the loaded cast in the film, and how Eminem demanded the film be shot on location, much like another Midwestern musician who starred in a film that was loosely on their life. Obviously, we also talk about the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show where Eminem performed "Lose Yourself" as part of the show.
