Shownotes

Having conversations with our children on love, sex and relationships can feel awkward, tricky and nerve racking. Yet, as parents, we have the privilege of being the primary educators of these important topics.

In the first episode of this two-part Talk About Sex series on the ParentEd Podcast, our host, Joshua Liong, chats with Michelle Soon, an educator and a mother of one, who is also passionate about sexuality education. She addresses the common fears that parents have about talking to their children about sex and debunks myths surrounding these fears. Michelle also shares insightful perspectives and practical handles that parents can use in starting sexuality education at home, testifying that it need not be as daunting as we may think it is!

Research shows that when parents engage their children in topics on sexuality, their children grow to make wiser choices in relationships and sex. To help you overcome your fears in broaching the topic, we have designed a Talk About Sex video podcast series to equip parents in having ongoing conversations with their children in this important aspect.
