BIO:

Carl Goldman, along with his wife, Jeri, repurchased KHTS AM-1220, Santa Clarita’s hometown station, on October 24, 2003. Since then, they have rebuilt KHTS as a critical voice of the Valley. In 2015 the radio station moved to its new headquarters on Main Street in Old Town Newhall, in the original Newhall Hardware building. The Goldman’s added 98.1FM in 2018, as a simulcast of AM-1220.

Carl Goldman has worked in radio since 1974. His experience includes seven years at a major Los Angeles radio station, KIQQ-FM. In 1980, he and a partner started their own radio syndication business, which they sold in 1983 to the Transtar Radio Networks. Carl remained with Transtar, which later merged to become Westwood One Radio, as Vice-President of Special Features through 1990.

In 1990, Carl became the CEO of Saddleback Broadcasting, Inc., which purchased radio station KBET (AM-1220), in Santa Clarita, California. In 1995, along with his CEO duties at Saddleback, he became COO of Gold Coast and High Desert Broadcasting, operating six radio stations in Oxnard/Ventura, CA, and five radio stations in Palmdale/Lancaster, CA, of which his company, Jeri Lyn Broadcasting, Inc., still owns a minority interest. The couple sold AM-1220 to Clear Channel Communications in 1998 and repurchased it in 2003.

Carl, along with his wife Jeri, raised their two sons, Ryan and Kyle in Santa Clarita. They now have two grandchildren.
