What do you think about when you hear the word SALESPERSON?
Did you think up, or even write down, some words? Were any of these negative, maybe along the lines of “aggressive”, “pushy”, “cheesy”, “dishonest”…even “sleazy”?
No matter what comes to your mind, let me tell you – you better shift your perspective. Because that sales person – even if you have a title that has nothing to with sales – is YOU. If you are running your own business, if you are in any prime position in your company, or you are on the way up anywhere - and you are – you are a salesperson. So start by shifting your focus.
