Alex opens up about falling unexpectedly pregnant while still breastfeeding her baby, discovering she was carrying identical MCDA twin girls, and then losing both babies at 16 weeks after a sudden rupture and loss of blood supply. She shares the shock of returning to hospital work immediately afterwards — placed on a 13-hour acute gynae shift on a miscarriage list, while still physically injured and emotionally shattered — and the pivotal moment she realised the system wasn’t built to hold women through trauma.
From there, Alex takes us through pregnancy after loss, rebuilding her career outside the hospital system, and creating a clinic grounded in preventative health, longevity, and real, thorough care — from blood panels and screening to supporting women through postpartum fog, fatigue, hormones, and the invisible load.
