Shownotes

In this week’s episode, we talk about what we had planned for this week. Annnnd how we decided to do something different. Jane discusses how a virus (not Covid) knocked her flat for the past 10 days and Jen talks about how she is feeling an urge to let go of documents, files, paperwork, and more, from her past. There is a real calling to go inward right now, so we are encouraging you all to prioritize self-care, highlight inner reflection, and see what comes up for you.

conversations. Let's dive in.

Jen Lang:

Hi, everybody, and welcome back to another episode

Jen Lang:

of no halos here with Jen Lang and Jane Stark. This is our

Jen Lang:

first recorded episode in 2022. So it's kind of exciting. And

Jen Lang:

we've called it not what we had planned because it literally has

Jen Lang:

not been what we had planned. So don't dive into that. What what

Jen Lang:

did you not have planned to Jane? That?

Unknown:

Yeah, right. Well, as you may be able to tell from my

Unknown:

voice, I have been really ill. Since December 30, I think and

Unknown:

it's now what January 7, we're recording this is not what I had

Unknown:

planned at all. It's not COVID It was some other slew that

Unknown:

really took me out. So yeah, Jen and I were just joking about. We

Unknown:

had, we did have some episode ideas mapped out and things that

Unknown:

we just kind of like, man, we're not really feeling those topics

Unknown:

right now. And we've been doing a lot of just kind of inward

Unknown:

work and reflecting on what January, you know, has and

Unknown:

listening to some of the people that we follow, and what's the

Unknown:

energy of 2022. And so we're like, let's just throw it out

Unknown:

and go with something that we didn't have planned. And let's

Unknown:

share kind of our thoughts on what's what we feel is here for

Unknown:

January, February, maybe, you know, energy and what we're

Unknown:

picking up on what we've learned from the people that we follow

Unknown:

and bring it to you guys. Yeah. So yeah, there's my nasal Lee.

Jen Lang:

I'll take over on recording. I think that, uh,

Jen Lang:

obviously, Jane, you did not plan to be ill at were as sick

Jen Lang:

as you were. And I think, but you told me like we I think,

Jen Lang:

hang on, let me back up here. As I riff on these words, so when I

Jen Lang:

was boxing with you earlier this week, we sort of made the

Jen Lang:

connection that you had had this massage at the end of the year,

Jen Lang:

and you had set this intention to release 2021

Unknown:

Did I know what I was? What I was unleashing,

Jen Lang:

probably a few hours later, your body's like, okay,

Jen Lang:

game on, that it's kind of led to that illness piece. And I'm

Jen Lang:

wondering if other people who have experienced either illness

Jen Lang:

or who had maybe has set an intention to let go of 2021 and

Jen Lang:

then became ill, or became sicker than they might have

Jen Lang:

been? Or maybe nothing at all happened, we just want to let

Jen Lang:

you know that that is completely normal, and that it's not

Jen Lang:

unusual. And that that kind of falls into that phrase, or that

Jen Lang:

adage of like, be careful what you wish for? Or is it bad

Jen Lang:

intention?

Unknown:

Can we be really interested because my whole

Unknown:

family God is whatever this virus is. But I went down much

Unknown:

harder than they did. And I like, I mean, I know, most of

Unknown:

us, many of us, aside from those of us who unfortunately, maybe

Unknown:

contracted COVID. But aside from that, most of us haven't really

Unknown:

gotten very sick in the last two years, because we've literally

Unknown:

put ourselves in bubbles, right. But even prior to COVID, I've

Unknown:

found like, I have really worked on my immune system. And my

Unknown:

health and I felt fairly strong that even when I would get a

Unknown:

cold or whatnot that, you know, I would fight it, you know, it'd

Unknown:

be typical. And this was like, nothing typical. This was next,

Unknown:

like next level. It feels like and I think, you know, I do

Unknown:

believe kind of like some of what you said that, you know, it

Unknown:

was very the timing of the massage and I've never

Unknown:

specifically done this before and I sent a message to Jenna

Unknown:

I'm like, you know, I'm going for this massage. It's the end

Unknown:

of the year. I'm just really going to sink into, like,

Unknown:

releasing everything that I don't need from 2021 and, and I

Unknown:

like I set the intention. I went into the massage even when I was

Unknown:

in the massage I was conscious about like, kind of like, you

Unknown:

know, what was releasing from my muscles and whether like if

Unknown:

emotions or thoughts or whatever him up into my head. I'm

Unknown:

releasing them. And then yes, promptly started to get sick.

Unknown:

Right after that, but it's it's interesting how that can happen

Unknown:

and how when we set that intention and just how even

Unknown:

like, again, like I say, looking at my family who didn't get they

Unknown:

all like, to varying degrees, we all got, you know, got sick, but

Unknown:

I just, I'm on day 10 And I'm still, you know, have maybe

Unknown:

like, two hours of work in me that like, I can get up and

Unknown:

function and then I'm like, Okay, leave me arrest arrest.

Unknown:

So, yeah, it's like, it's, it's been a it's been a good practice

Unknown:

to surrender and to look and reflect on, you know, what is

Unknown:

this? Showing me without overanalyzing it? Yeah. But

Unknown:

yeah, definitely not what I had planned, like, New Year's is a

Unknown:

blur, I was in bed. I feel like I haven't started my new year,

Unknown:

to be honest, which is, is really an interesting space to

Unknown:

be into.

Jen Lang:

It's kind of like, almost, because I think because

Jen Lang:

you've been in this sort of bubble of healing, it's

Jen Lang:

stretching out that transition from 2021, to 2022. And, of

Jen Lang:

course, also 21 to 2021 to 2022, is, I'm not gonna say it's

Jen Lang:

arbitrary, because we've decided to run our lives by this

Jen Lang:

calendar. But there's so many other energetics involved that

Jen Lang:

are coming for us, I if you if you if you live your life by the

Jen Lang:

new moon, the new moon was January 2. And if you follow the

Jen Lang:

Chinese calendar, the new moon, the Chinese, the Lunar New Year,

Jen Lang:

actually begins January 31, February 1, with the next new

Jen Lang:

moon. So I think there's this as we sort of move into January and

Jen Lang:

not over planning. There's also something that Dan and I talked

Jen Lang:

about was, we don't have an annual plan set up yet, I've and

Jen Lang:

I have no desire to put things into a 12 month framework at

Jen Lang:

this point in time, I have ideas and, you know, things I'd like

Jen Lang:

to see roll out over the next few months. But even when we

Jen Lang:

were planning this, you know, this our podcast a couple of

Jen Lang:

days ago, we were talking like, I don't want to plan anything

Jen Lang:

more than a quarter at a time. So taking a look at January,

Jen Lang:

European March and go, these are the things we'd like to talk

Jen Lang:

about, but not assigning them a specific date, like this is

Jen Lang:

going to be episode 47. This is going to be episode 48. Because,

Jen Lang:

as we have learned, all learned from the past two years, it's

Jen Lang:

you know, when people were setting their intentions two

Jen Lang:

years ago, Nick,

Unknown:

no would have no way plan

Jen Lang:

before a pandemic. So there is that, you know, I think

Jen Lang:

there was a meme running around that said, you know, wherever

Jen Lang:

you were in January 2020, wherever you saw yourself in

Jen Lang:

December 2020, was not nobody saw. Yeah, like what happened?

Jen Lang:

Yeah. And so I think that that's taught us to be more flexible

Jen Lang:

and more maneuverable in our outlook, but also less

Jen Lang:

structured, like, it's just this goes hand in hand, be more

Jen Lang:

flexible and be less structured. So this is kind of what we're

Jen Lang:

taking moving forward. And I think that's kind of a primary,

Jen Lang:

I'm gonna say a primary message for all of our listeners, is how

Jen Lang:

can you be even more flexible, and less structured and still

Jen Lang:

see yourself moving towards, I'm not gonna use the word goals,

Jen Lang:

because I don't like it's overused, but moving towards a

Jen Lang:

place where you really want to be. So absolutely set an

Jen Lang:

intention. However, Lego, letting go of the house, be more

Jen Lang:

flexible, and allowing a different let me apply structure

Jen Lang:

to something, we are applying a way that we expect or want it to

Jen Lang:

roll out. So if you take away that structure, and those

Jen Lang:

assumptions, then you leave it more possible, like more

Jen Lang:

infinitely possible. There are more infinitely possible ways

Jen Lang:

that that intention can come to you.

Unknown:

Yeah, and I think, you know, I mean, I'm really glad we

Unknown:

had started talking about this back in December, you and I, we

Unknown:

had done a bit of planning. But we didn't, again, we didn't set

Unknown:

firm things. And that's actually really helping me right now,

Unknown:

like I was sharing with you earlier that the old me would

Unknown:

have struggled with this illness more in the sense that like, I

Unknown:

just don't have capacity to do what I can what I normally would

Unknown:

be able to do, and I'm kind of really in this full surrender

Unknown:

space to it, partly because I literally have to because my

Unknown:

body's just not there and I need to focus on my health. But my

Unknown:

mind would have been stressing me I would have been anxious, I

Unknown:

would have, you know, felt more like, like I'm not going getting

Unknown:

stuff done. And like, this just isn't happening. And I'm really

Unknown:

in this space of like, okay, so the universe is showing me right

Unknown:

now that I need to really move into 2022 at a slower pace, and

Unknown:

I'm gonna trust that. Um, and you know, but had we are had,

Unknown:

you know, had I set these big goals for January, I would be

Unknown:

much more in that space of like, Oh, my God, like, this is not in

Unknown:

my plan. And, you know, and so really being able to roll with

Unknown:

that a little bit. And it's interesting, you and I both

Unknown:

listen to somebody that we follow Lee Harris, who's an

Unknown:

intuitive guide, he often or not, often he does monthly

Unknown:

energy updates. And so Jen and I had both listened to his January

Unknown:

update. And it's right in line with kind of what's going on

Unknown:

talked a lot about the energy of kind of January, February,

Unknown:

feeding, especially January being about inward and going

Unknown:

inward and like down and slowing down. And that yeah, like, well,

Unknown:

yes, this is typically a time that by capitalistic social

Unknown:

norms. We're all like, hey, time to bake those resolutions and

Unknown:

get to the gym and get those big projects launched and do this

Unknown:

and do that 30 Day Challenge. Yeah, come out of the gates

Unknown:

running. And he was sharing that kind of what he's getting is

Unknown:

that, like, this year, that's a hard know, that, you know, we

Unknown:

really need to be inward, we need to be reflecting, we need

Unknown:

to be going still letting go getting Yes, that was another

Unknown:

big theme. That's what I'm taking from this, like,

Unknown:

Whatever, I'm shedding like, a huge layer of myself with this

Unknown:

illness. And just allowing that to be okay.

Jen Lang:

Yeah, I, I love how you summarize that, we'll post

Jen Lang:

the link to his energy update in our show notes. And he's just

Jen Lang:

one of several people that we both follow or look to for, you

Jen Lang:

know, generalized guidance. I don't necessarily listen every

Jen Lang:

month, but I just don't feel like it was like, Oh, this feels

Jen Lang:

like really good. And one of the things where I've been going, I

Jen Lang:

mean, I have a daily spiritual practice that I where I go

Jen Lang:

inward, and I, you know, what I'm asking being asked to do now

Jen Lang:

is actually go more deeply inward in that spiritual

Jen Lang:

practice. So not just drawing my cards and writing a few

Jen Lang:

thoughts. You know, for example, today, it was like, sit down

Jen Lang:

with a journal, go through this process, and call into these

Jen Lang:

concepts. And I think by going inward more often, and in a more

Jen Lang:

intentional way, we can actually get to those answers a little

Jen Lang:

bit faster than if we just do the surface pieces. So you know,

Jen Lang:

how that's reflecting in my real practical world is okay, I'm

Jen Lang:

cleaning up my computer harddrive. I'm getting rid of

Jen Lang:

documents, files and folders from the past, gosh, like 15 to

Jen Lang:

20 years that I used to hang on to these documents, because I

Jen Lang:

used to be an admin and I needed multiple copies. And I eat, I

Jen Lang:

was in document control. And I worked in the Music Library at

Jen Lang:

McGill. So I was always about keeping things organized. And

Jen Lang:

now I'm looking back and I'm like, I can go in, I've already

Jen Lang:

archive some folders onto an external hard drive. But now I

Jen Lang:

want to go back into my current hard drive and go, where am I

Jen Lang:

hanging onto information that is no longer relevant? And where am

Jen Lang:

I hanging on to that PDF that I downloaded five years ago, when

Jen Lang:

I was first starting my business that is no longer relevant,

Jen Lang:

because the landscape has changed so much. Well, that is

Jen Lang:

the shedding.

Unknown:

And I was just gonna say, in doing that, it feels so

Unknown:

much like, I really get the strong feeling that that is like

Unknown:

an old version of you, that's just ready to just go right.

Unknown:

Like when you were sharing how, you know, that's who I was in

Unknown:

2008. Because that was my world. That was my part of my work and

Unknown:

all the things it's like, and that's not who you are in 2022.

Unknown:

And so completely letting that that part of you. Like, go,

Unknown:

Yeah,

Jen Lang:

it's so interesting. And actually, as you were

Jen Lang:

talking just reminded me So earlier this week, I had a

Jen Lang:

little bit of like a, I wouldn't say a meltdown. But I had a bit

Jen Lang:

of a moment where my husband and I were having a conversation

Jen Lang:

around money, but it was also there were some other things

Jen Lang:

coming up for me too. And part of this is part of the shedding

Jen Lang:

pieces. So I'm preparing music for a recital in March. So in

Jen Lang:

two months, I'm singing some music by a German 19th century

Jen Lang:

composer named Josephine Lange. And as I was preparing this

Jen Lang:

music, I you know, and choosing the songs to prepare. I was

Jen Lang:

being reminded of who I was 10 years ago, 12 years ago when I

Jen Lang:

was in university finishing up my master's his degree, and the

Jen Lang:

methods and ways that I learned that music. And I realized I had

Jen Lang:

this moment earlier this week, after that first moment that I

Jen Lang:

had been approaching the process as how I used to be, rather than

Jen Lang:

integrating that process into all the knowledge and the

Jen Lang:

spiritual and intuitive self of that person who I am now. So

Jen Lang:

when I actually went and rehearse the music on Wednesday,

Jen Lang:

it was fun. And I had a great time. And I could feel that I

Jen Lang:

could feel much more a strong sense of the composer and the

Jen Lang:

poetry and the music, much more than I did when I was in

Jen Lang:

university. And I realized again, too, that this is new

Jen Lang:

music to me. And that for the past 10 years, I've been singing

Jen Lang:

music that I learned 10 years ago. So yeah, and I've learned a

Jen Lang:

few pieces since then. But going into this music and going into

Jen Lang:

this German poetry is such a gift now, because I'm like, Oh,

Jen Lang:

I can approach it, I can see it with who I am today, rather than

Jen Lang:

who I was when I finished my master's degree 10 years ago.

Unknown:

Yeah, which is, yeah, and that's a great point, right?

Unknown:

Like it's shedding the layers, but it doesn't mean that you

Unknown:

have to completely let go all of the things right, what parts of

Unknown:

that and those experiences do we want to bring forward into into

Unknown:

that next space? I'm curious, just going back a little bit for

Unknown:

a sec to this kind of space, we're in this energy, this kind

Unknown:

of slowing down and going inwards, you've shared a little

Unknown:

bit about how that's playing out for you in terms of some of the

Unknown:

cleanup and the purging. You know, it's, it's interesting to

Unknown:

look to it, that that energy, and you and I, and how it's

Unknown:

playing out very differently for us, right? And because, you

Unknown:

know, I can't remember who we're talking to the other day, but we

Unknown:

were on a call. And again, I was like, showing up in my not so

Unknown:

great form. And, you know, it's like, yeah, I've been kind of in

Unknown:

bed for five days and hunker down. And, and Jen was kind of

Unknown:

like, I feel great. Like, you know, like, you've got that you

Unknown:

do have that energy of the new year where you're feeling really

Unknown:

good, you're feeling really rested and replenished. So do

Unknown:

you feel that urge to like, kind of get out there and be more

Unknown:

gung ho? Or are you still kind of? How was that landing for

Unknown:

you?

Jen Lang:

Yeah, that's an interesting question. I don't

Jen Lang:

feel like I need to pull back at all. Nor do I feel like I need

Jen Lang:

to accelerate in the sense of like, make things happen faster.

Jen Lang:

But what I am feeling and I think this is reflected in the

Jen Lang:

word that came forward for me for this year, his presence. And

Jen Lang:

as in being present, both with myself and for our community,

Jen Lang:

for our listeners, that presence piece is, is more expansive. So

Jen Lang:

having a more expansive presence in however that rolls out both

Jen Lang:

for the inward work and for power that is in our current

Jen Lang:

physical reality. And so, you know, to bring it back to your

Jen Lang:

question. It's not so much the, there is an inward expansive

Jen Lang:

presence, that is asking to asking for attention. Right. And

Jen Lang:

it's, I think I refer to it earlier in the new year is like

Jen Lang:

exploring a release right early, late in last year, was exploring

Jen Lang:

the inner verse, As expansively as the outer verse.

Unknown:

I love that. And that sums up actually a bit of what

Unknown:

Lee was talking about today, too, right? It's yeah, that

Unknown:

January is all about the slowing down the inner verse to use your

Unknown:

term and the energy and that February's energy is a little

Unknown:

bit more outward, external, like, that's the time to start

Unknown:

showing up again, and to be out there. So that's, yeah, that's

Unknown:

really interesting. And it's, it's interesting to like, as

Unknown:

we're talking as reflecting to on how, for me, I felt, I felt a

Unknown:

lot of this energy in December, not so much the inner energy,

Unknown:

but the preparation, like, you know, like you were sharing that

Unknown:

you're in a lot of this purging, there was so much purging energy

Unknown:

for me, in sort of those middle two weeks of December,

Unknown:

especially where it was like, I'm gonna, like, I need to dig

Unknown:

into my finances, I need to, you know, I've got my, like, I've

Unknown:

actually finally done my year end, pretty much at year end,

Unknown:

I'll be honest, I'm one of those that like, waits till the bitter

Unknown:

end to file my taxes every year and it was so nice to be like,

Unknown:

No, I'm just gonna, like do this now and get this done so and

Unknown:

know that I can start the new year with that clarity. Yeah.

Unknown:

And, you know, among a number of other things that that was kind

Unknown:

of, it was a little bit for me, it was a little bit more in the

Unknown:

doing Energy and it felt really good. Now I'm like that all came

Unknown:

to a screeching halt kind of over the holidays with the

Unknown:

illness, but now I'm kind of in this surrender of okay, well, I

Unknown:

know that that stuff's there, and that I just need to, you

Unknown:

know, I just need to sit with all of this, I just need to be.

Unknown:

And I think, you know, I get the sense. We know, we're in a very

Unknown:

tumultuous time right now, I think we've talked about this a

Unknown:

little bit on the podcast before that, you know, it seems looking

Unknown:

ahead. And what you and I sort of tap into, it's gonna be a

Unknown:

bumpy ride for a little bit here still, like, yeah, you know,

Unknown:

there

Jen Lang:

is gonna be an acceleration. And there is an

Jen Lang:

expansion. But I feel like this time, if we base some of that on

Jen Lang:

what Lee Harris has shared it this time is about exploring

Jen Lang:

that inner verse, feeling into what, what you can let go of and

Jen Lang:

leave behind, and what stays and what becomes carried forward

Jen Lang:

into this new aspects of self that then can be expanded and

Jen Lang:

shown to the world.

Unknown:

Yeah, and I think one of those and what I'm being

Unknown:

really called to, and have had show up a number of times for me

Unknown:

recently, his self care and self care is that yeah, he did, too,

Unknown:

didn't he? Like self care is not a luxury, not a luxury. It's not

Unknown:

traditional? No, like we and we need to increase it a lot right

Unknown:

now. And I think that goes hand in hand with this message of

Unknown:

going inward. It's truly about like, nourishing the self and

Unknown:

connecting with our inner self. So again, we're Yes, the baths

Unknown:

and yes, the exercise and things like that, but even more so

Unknown:

that, you know, what do you need to do to reduce your stress?

Unknown:

What do you need to you know, what do you need to look at that

Unknown:

you're not looking at? What do you say you need to say no to,

Jen Lang:

you know, all the way all the stuff we've talked about

Jen Lang:

with terms of following the energy. So I've noticed myself,

Jen Lang:

it's like, when do I feel like I want to push through on the

Jen Lang:

screen time? And when is my body going, Hey, take a break, go sit

Jen Lang:

in your reading chair, and just read a book for a few minutes,

Jen Lang:

or just sit there for seven minutes with your eyes closed?

Jen Lang:

Yeah, that that's an aspect of self care that people don't

Jen Lang:

really talk about, but that's almost doubling that it's like,

Jen Lang:

almost Okay, well, I'm going to set my silent meditation time

Jen Lang:

now to 14 minutes instead of seven minutes. And it's, I

Jen Lang:

think, that self care piece, it's not a luxury, it's a non

Jen Lang:

negotiable is what he called it. It's non negotiable. And so what

Jen Lang:

do you have to do in your life? To prioritize one aspect of self

Jen Lang:

care? One simple step?

Unknown:

Yeah. And I mean, exactly right. And it comes

Unknown:

down. And I think we all know right now health is, is so

Unknown:

forefront and there's multiple levels and facets of health that

Unknown:

we can, you know, that we're talking about here, but, you

Unknown:

know, it plays into that too, like, we need to be mentally

Unknown:

strong, we need to be physically strong. And self care is the way

Unknown:

we do that. Right? We we know this, I know, it's not you know,

Unknown:

we're not sharing anything, any big new revelation here, but

Unknown:

it's, it seems to, I find, like, it's that gentle reminder again

Unknown:

and again. And, you know, that's again, that's what I feel like

Unknown:

I'm getting right now, like health and self care, I need to

Unknown:

look after myself. Right now, you know,

Jen Lang:

what a great example you're setting for your kids by

Jen Lang:

prioritizing yourself care. And I like without going into

Jen Lang:

details. You know, you felt a lot of pressure this week from

Jen Lang:

one of your kids. And you held a firm boundary and basically was

Jen Lang:

like, Absolutely not. And you know, my answer is no, and I you

Jen Lang:

know, Sony I am not a human parent. I have two dog parents

Jen Lang:

like boundaries, except for dogs to like, my dog is getting old

Jen Lang:

and she's like asking to go out early in the morning. I was

Jen Lang:

like, you can wait 10 minutes because I know you can that she

Jen Lang:

just wants to go out and sniff or sniffer the raccoons, we're

Jen Lang:

in the yard or something like that. I'm like, no, no, no, no,

Jen Lang:

no, like, you know, you don't want to that. Exactly. And so

Jen Lang:

it's I mean obviously that's a such a minor small example.

Jen Lang:

However, it's still a boundary is self care. Yeah. So if you

Jen Lang:

didn't have to hear that before, and you didn't make that

Jen Lang:

connection until now, putting a boundary in place either in your

Jen Lang:

workplace or in the home or with yourself or with your loved ones

Jen Lang:

a boundary is self care.

Unknown:

So yeah, no, definitely yeah, it's been it's been

Unknown:

tricky, right? Like, you know, getting getting sick with

Unknown:

something that's not COVID When COVID is rampant has been also

Unknown:

been a real. The term I want to use them on To put explicit on

Unknown:

this episode now is mine shock. Because you know it everywhere I

Unknown:

turn people are, you know, getting sick with COVID. And now

Unknown:

I'm kind of sat here and going, Kay, my immune system has just

Unknown:

taken a huge hit. And COVID is out there everywhere. And I

Unknown:

can't afford to get to, you know, to get hit again right

Unknown:

now, I shouldn't say that I'm going to take that back, I will

Unknown:

be okay. My belief is that I would be okay. I do not want to

Unknown:

get hit twice like that. And so I've had to put, like Jen was

Unknown:

sharing a lot more boundaries in at home recently to kind of say,

Unknown:

Hey, I'm not comfortable with that right now. Like, you know,

Unknown:

that might have been something that yeah, two weeks ago, you

Unknown:

know, I know that, like, you know, you would expect it two

Unknown:

weeks ago, I would have said yes to that. But right now, the

Unknown:

information has changed or having that boundary because I

Unknown:

literally had to just sit down and be like, listen, like my

Unknown:

health is my number one priority. And right now I'm

Unknown:

going to do everything I can to protect that. So yeah,

Unknown:

boundaries, that by all means, are, are definitely self care.

Unknown:

And I think, you know, just taking another look at like,

Unknown:

yes, there's getting healthy from a, you know, I'm sick, got

Unknown:

a virus thing. And then there's just, there's our overall health

Unknown:

as well, our mental health, like, you know, is a big one

Unknown:

that plays into all of this, too. And so what do we need to

Unknown:

do? Because I mean, we're all at the end of our ropes, you know,

Unknown:

right. And so that's what

Jen Lang:

2021 was in EPS, particularly in our province of

Jen Lang:

British Columbia, there was was quite a year tumultuous year,

Jen Lang:

climate wise with extreme heat, and then flooding, and then snow

Jen Lang:

and cold temperatures. And there's deep freezing. There's a

Jen Lang:

lot of variables flying around right now. And so I think,

Jen Lang:

ultimately, I think the message of this is, be prepared for

Jen Lang:

things that you haven't, you know, necessarily accounted for.

Jen Lang:

And that might be something as simple as like putting an

Jen Lang:

earthquake kit together and emergency kit together. But also

Jen Lang:

for your own health. It might be like, where do you need to stock

Jen Lang:

up on self care? Whether it's, you know, essential oils, or

Jen Lang:

like Tylenol, cold and flu? Where do you need to stock up on

Jen Lang:

those items in your house? So that if you do get sick, you

Jen Lang:

don't have to go anywhere? That's of preparation to

Unknown:

and what boundaries you need to put in pen. Do you need

Unknown:

to wear do you need to carve out more time for yourself? Yeah,

Jen Lang:

exactly.

Unknown:

Yeah, I mean, I think the overall message we're kind

Unknown:

of know in here is that it's gonna continue to be a bit of a

Unknown:

bumpy time for the next. I don't know, we're not we're not

Unknown:

psychics, we can't predict for how long but it feels like for

Unknown:

the next little bit. I keep getting interesting, like from

Unknown:

intuitive guides and people we follow in that realm, but also

Unknown:

just conversations in the more like 3d world around

Unknown:

conversations that are happening at government levels and things

Unknown:

like that, that it sounds to me and just tapping in and feeling

Unknown:

in for myself that spring. You know, we're gonna start to feel

Unknown:

like we can take a breath. I really strongly feel that I

Unknown:

don't know, again, like I can't predict, but that's definitely

Unknown:

the feeling I'm getting. And then it's kind of between now

Unknown:

and you know, spring that is just,

Jen Lang:

I think we have we absolutely have the collective

Jen Lang:

ability to rise above where we are right now. And to, if you

Jen Lang:

want to call in that perspective now and calling that feeling

Jen Lang:

that's a great fit, what do you call it an intention setting,

Jen Lang:

whatever you want to call them? That feeling of like, what a

Jen Lang:

breath of fresh air? above what we have just experienced feel

Jen Lang:

like for you, and how does it feel and then cultivate that

Jen Lang:

feeling? What other activities cultivate that feeling? I think

Jen Lang:

it's probably a really practical tip while it's so how would a

Jen Lang:

breath of fresh air in the spring where restrictions are

Jen Lang:

lifted, you don't have to wear a mask anymore. Imagine that,

Unknown:

that feel into that, step into that meal.

Jen Lang:

And then what other activities provide an expensive

Jen Lang:

feeling for you. So whether it's like listening to your favorite

Jen Lang:

music, or maybe it's a favorite smell or favorite scent, or

Jen Lang:

maybe it's walking out in nature and going into like going to the

Jen Lang:

ocean and looking at the expansiveness of the ocean or

Jen Lang:

the expansiveness of the prairies if you're inland. Yeah.

Jen Lang:

So how can you cultivate those feelings and be more prepared

Jen Lang:

for the good as well as the as well as the less good friend?

Jen Lang:

What do you have on it?

Unknown:

Yeah, I guess right. And to circle back to kind of

Unknown:

just close it up with what we opened with. What do you need to

Unknown:

let go off? Yeah, I think we're still in this space of letting

Unknown:

go and that's what feels like sort of the alignment of

Unknown:

January. It feels different this year. Like, you know, I think I

Unknown:

agree, I'll be honest, this January feels different than a

Unknown:

lot of past January's. And this feels like we're still in this

Unknown:

collective shedding. We're still in this what do we need to let

Unknown:

go of? And, you know, that's it's interesting because we

Unknown:

launched our 321 countdown offer just at the very end of 2021.

Unknown:

And that was originally going to be a limited time offer. Yeah.

Unknown:

And that that offer is all about, it's three sessions with

Unknown:

Jen and I, and where we go into that healing, you know, that

Unknown:

okay, what needs to be let go of what can we go in and sort of

Unknown:

identify and heal and remove to help you get that little bit

Unknown:

closer? And because of where that energy is, and what we felt

Unknown:

into? And like Jen said, we plan kind of by quarter now. We're

Unknown:

like, let's just keep that running. Yeah, because we're

Unknown:

getting uptake on it. You know, people are wanting it, people

Unknown:

are needing it. And so, you know, if you interesting

Jen Lang:

as a listener are feeling like you want a bit of a

Jen Lang:

support. This is one way you can work with us. And this 321

Jen Lang:

countdown offer is that three sessions in a four week period.

Jen Lang:

It's short, it's sweet. There's definitely results in

Jen Lang:

transformations, you're feeling a bit lost, and you kind of

Jen Lang:

don't know what to shed or how to shed it.

Unknown:

Yeah, this is a really, we can really help powerful.

Unknown:

Yeah, I'm,

Jen Lang:

I'm totally proud to say that Jane and I are a

Jen Lang:

powerful team together. And, you know, where real, real look real

Jen Lang:

are so ready to support any of you in this next stage of growth

Jen Lang:

and expansion. And the inward inner verse exploratory work.

Jen Lang:

Yeah, I think on that note, we can round some things up. So you

Jen Lang:

got some practical steps. If you are feelings stuck in that

Jen Lang:

sense, you're not alone. If you have been grounded by illness

Jen Lang:

for the past few weeks, a lot alone. If you were feeling

Jen Lang:

upbeat and ready for the year like me, you are not alone. They

Jen Lang:
