The Dispensation of God’s Grace
By Tammy Lacock
“If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words).” (Eph. 3:2-3, KJV)
Warren Litzman emphasizes again in Ephesians 3:2 that the “dispensation of the grace of God” which started with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the dispensation we are living in right now. This grace gospel was entrusted to Paul by Christ, Himself, and he turns around and gives it to us. For us right now!
In verse 3, Paul clearly acknowledges that by revelation, Christ revealed to him the mystery, this new gospel, that by the grace of God we are saved, and we need only to believe in Christ as our Savior to be saved. By believing, we are no longer separated from Him. Christ is birthed in us, and we become joint-heirs as children of God. With Christ as our new life, we are blameless before God, our Heavenly Father.
If this gospel is not preached or revealed to us in this current and final dispensation, then we will not be equipped to handle it. We must be followers of Paul, turn to his epistles, and pass on this new grace gospel to all corners of the earth!
