Shownotes

In this episode of Motivational Mondays, we unpack the concept of responsibility.

Les Brown said, if you take responsibility for yourself, you will develop a hunger to achieve to accomplish your dreams.

You are the only person who's in control of your life. You are responsible for what happens to you regardless of the outside circumstances you face. Responsibility is taking accountability for something, not finding someone or something to blame. People blame the circumstances on external factors, such as where they were born, the government, the state of the economy, or anything other than themselves.

People without an internal locus of control will not be successful as they have forfeited their power to external circumstances. The most successful people take responsibility for the things they can control. They take responsibility for their own lives. To claim responsibility. You need to understand several basics.

First of all, you need to take control of your life, or others will do it for you.

You need to take control of your life, or others will do it for you. Understand that you have to take ownership of the things you need to do to succeed. Nothing and no one else is going to do it for you. Nothing in your life will work unless you do.

This will take immense effort, but it is fare to be paid for the results you want.

Next stop blaming other people or things for what is going on or not going on in your life.

I'll say that again, stop blaming other people or other things for what is going on or not going on in your life. Stop blaming everybody else, but yourself for everything, right now. Everything that has happened in your life is a direct result of your own thoughts, actions, and decisions, or lack of them. By changing your thoughts, words, deeds, and decisions, you will change the circumstances in your life. This is the only way to do it.

Next, know that you can achieve extraordinary things.

Know that you can achieve extraordinary things. Research what has happened in the past and what is current, and you will discover accounts of rags to riches, genius, brilliance, sportsmanship, and excellence. If others have achieved and are achieving extraordinary things, you can achieve them for yourself, knowing that you can achieve extraordinary things, makes you innately responsible for your own life.

Lastly, start creating what you want from your life.

Start creating what you want from your life. Only once you have taken responsibility for your life, will you be living an inspired life for success. You will be imagining, planning and talking about the person you want to be. And then taking action. Here is a promise from taking responsibility.

Being responsible for your life means you believe know and speak about being in charge of yourself and your life. Once you take charge, you will steer your life in the direction you wish. You won't forfeit your power to other influences as you will not be blaming them for their impact on your life.

Always believe that you are in charge and the results will be amazing. You will be on your way to achieving inspired success. Inspired success takes massive responsibility. Jim Rohn said "you must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of."
