The need to embrace diversity, equity and inclusion in our schools has never been clearer. The COVID pandemic has shone a bright light on the vast disparities in educational opportunity that continue to plague our schools as we prepare for the full reopening of schools this fall. This episode of the LEGAL ONE Podcast provides an overview of the statutory protections against discrimination available under state and federal law, as well as recently enacted laws expanding those protections, curriculum requirements and supports. Participants will also hear about key strategies for having necessary and courageous conversations related to racial and social justice, and tips for constructively engaging parents on these critical issues.
