The Lordship of Jesus Christ Today
It's about the lordship of Jesus Christ. It's about knowing Him. It's about walking with Him.
It's His Lordship in our lives. All boils down to one thing. He's Lord, and He's Lord specifically over us, our hearts. And how He does it is going to be a miracle. It's going to be an amazing miracle, how He's going to bring forth what He wants through these earthen vessels, that are very humble. Just the realization, we watched the last episode of “The Chosen” last night . Mary came, and brought the ointment, she pours it over Him, it's just worship.
Her whole thing is, You're the King of the universe. She has this revelation, and she's just bowing at His feet. She's pouring this ointment that's worth a year's wages, and these Pharisees are standing there, and they're freaking out because they're, it's such a, an abomination to them. And it's a waste and all this stuff.
And here's Mary at His feet, just crying, and worshiping, and bowing at His feet. And that's exactly where we need to be at. Is in our hearts and spirits, we bow before the Lord at His feet, and worship Him.
It's just a personal relationship with the Lord. Nothing else matters. It's just our relationship to the Lord is the most important thing in our lives.
We minister the Lordship of Jesus Christ every day. Every morning we wake up, we're in the presence of the Lord when we minister the Lordship of Jesus Christ over everything that we do, everything that we are, and everything that we speak. It's such an easy, simple thing. It's just an opening up of our hearts before the Lord.
Which all of us do just opening up our hearts before the Lord and saying okay, Lord. Here I am. What do You want from me? Here I am. I want to be led of You. I want to be led of the Holy Spirit I'm just open to You Lord, and I love You, and I worship You, and I ministered to You. What Ron was saying about Mary Magdalene how she ministered to the Lord before He went to the cross.
That was a humble thing. She was giving her heart, and ministering to Him the anointing of who He was, what He was going to be. It's just a simple opening up of our hearts before the Lord. It's the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
We're in the final steps of establishing the Lordship of Jesus Christ in heaven, and earth , and in us.
It's an exciting day to be alive, because that final step that we're being led into is the final step of Christ's ministry, and that was the prophet priest of the kingdom. He arrived at the right hand of the Father, and immediately began to pray for us, to follow in His footsteps. Those footsteps lead to the cross , and led us to the right hand of the Father.
I think it's God's workmanship, His workmanship. We're getting detailed attention, fellow heirs to the throne. So much happened when that wonderful lady poured that frankincense and myrrh. I think it was a bunch of stuff like that. I can't remember, but. That was a monumental thing, that's why, as Ken mentioned it, she would be remembered forever for doing that.
The story of Mary and the ointment, I try to take that and say, how do I duplicate, how do I walk in that level of love, and that level of caring today? I look at the scriptures, which are absolutely wonderful, but they should be teaching us today. About what we should be doing today. Lord, you put that in the scriptures, Holy Spirit, for a purpose. Give us the ability to take those scriptures, and those principles, and function in them today to His glory.
We talked about 1st, the Lord ship and everything in Him, and Him being everything. And then Bill, you took it to the level of where as we do that. And being His workmanship, the works that were foreordained beforehand will come about as our eyes are on Him. It all flows together.
Without His Lordship, then what becomes the issue of my life? It has to be exactly what Lois says. Our works, the works that were preordained before the foundations of the earth for us to walk in, we're not going to figure that out. But the Holy Spirit will lead me in to do those things that are preordained. If I am focused simply on Him, and He's my Lord,
I really loose more of an awareness in all of us to hear what the Lord's speaking all the time. Because He is. He's leading us by His presence, by His spirit all the time. The subject we're on today about the Lordship of Jesus Christ is not just some fact that we need to invest into what we are and what we're doing.
It is the element that is going to take us into the next level in knowing Him. If you keep your eyes on Him and love Him, trust Him. He's the most important key that you have in your life. And when you gave your life to Him, it wasn't just for a one moment. It was just the beginning of giving your life to Him.
The kingdom is relationships. And the first relationship is the Lord. And then the communication with the Lord to the Lord in each one of us, we're coming into a place. We're realizing the unlimitedness of a spiritual connection with Him, and with each other.
