Tilly:

Hello and welcome to this week's episode.

2

:

This week we're talking about more 30th

birthday parties, lots of teething,

3

:

grabbing absolutely everything, having

a long old journey, and Dan finishing

4

:

up work before we start looking

after Bubba for the next 16 weeks.

5

:

So stay tuned.

6

:

Welcome to Blabbering, a week by

week glimpse into a couple stumbling

7

:

through life with a newborn.

8

:

I'm Tilly.

9

:

And I'm Dan.

10

:

Each week we'll discuss the realities

of raising our baby, talking through

11

:

the highs, lows and honest confessions

of this thing called parenting.

12

:

Parenting won't be easy, but

let's at least laugh about it.

13

:

This is Blabbering.

14

:

Ha ha ha ha ha.

15

:

Dan 1: we're on episode 22.

16

:

So we've got a drugged up

teething baby that's feeding

17

:

Tilly: just life.

18

:

It's just life.

19

:

Mmm, cold coffee.

20

:

She is not happy, girly.

21

:

It's not nice watching everything

because you know she's in pain.

22

:

It's just horrible.

23

:

Makes my boobies leak.

24

:

Dan 1: Yeah, I don't have that reaction.

25

:

Tilly: No, one of the

pinnacles just started leaking.

26

:

Dan 1: What would it be?

27

:

Tilly: tape?

28

:

It's a creature.

29

:

I don't know.

30

:

I read somewhere that apparently men can

31

:

Dan 1: Just like, you know water.

32

:

Tilly: lactate.

33

:

Dan 1: Yeah, I heard

34

:

Tilly: research for

another podcast next week.

35

:

We'll come back to it.

36

:

What do men lactate?

37

:

What do men leak out of their nips?

38

:

Who

39

:

Dan 1: all the time.

40

:

Tilly: knows?

41

:

Um, but yeah, so the past few days

she's been pretty grouchy, isn't she?

42

:

And clingy, like, sleeping's

been a bit more rough, isn't it?

43

:

So we're both pretty tired, so you

can probably hear our voices today.

44

:

But yes.

45

:

This is just the stage we're at.

46

:

Dan 1: Yeah, she didn't

sleep much at all last night.

47

:

Tilly: Yeah, when she's not, when

she's actually not feeling grouchy,

48

:

she's actually been really alert and

engaging this week, hasn't she, I think.

49

:

Like, she's Like, reaching for people

and things a lot more and grabbing and

50

:

definitely interacting, physically.

51

:

Dan 1: A lot of reaching.

52

:

Tilly: I'm sure you grabbed a

load of your cereal, didn't you?

53

:

Yeah, the

54

:

Dan 1: Yeah, the other day I had a bowl

of cereal, and I was trying to take it

55

:

through to the other room to eat it.

56

:

And then, I turned around to

grab the milk, and next thing,

57

:

a hand just reached out for

58

:

the cereal, smashed straight in

my bowl and just cleared out a

59

:

good, 20 percent of the bowl.

60

:

So,

61

:

Fatty, our dog, loved that and was like,

Oh, Choco shelves, don't mind if I do.

62

:

Did

63

:

Tilly: Um, oh, so he's

got a stomach of iron.

64

:

Um, what should we be trying?

65

:

Oh yeah, we're having some veggie,

like, vegetable fried rice.

66

:

Dan 1: you say the stomach of

a lion or a stomach of iron?

67

:

Tilly: iron.

68

:

Dan 1: Stomach of a lion!

69

:

Tilly: We're both zapped, I imagine.

70

:

Um, Although, part of me feels

like lions would be like pretty

71

:

little princesses, if they didn't

have like, pure meat or whatever.

72

:

Dan 1: Probably very used to

a set of, like, microbiome

73

:

Tilly: Yeah.

74

:

Um,

75

:

Dan 1: What are you

talking about, vegetable?

76

:

Tilly: oh yeah, so we're having veggie

fried rice, and I was just trying to

77

:

eat while I was feeding her, and she

just sort of finished, and she just like

78

:

like slow mo, just plunged her hand.

79

:

Dan 1: hand.

80

:

Tilly: into my

81

:

bowl of rice, and just pulled

it out of her fist and sort of

82

:

just dropped it all over herself.

83

:

And I was like, aww,

84

:

Dan 1: Yep.

85

:

Tilly: Um, so what have you got

for your meal today, my darling?

86

:

Choco

87

:

Dan 1: Choco

88

:

shells, and, um, cookie crisps,

but little versions of both.

89

:

Tilly: you've got subpar

milk, haven't you?

90

:

Dan 1: Yeah, I've

91

:

had to use green milk, green top milk.

92

:

Tilly: sit and so I've had

to stalk the house before he

93

:

eats, which is actually very

easy because my dad eats legit

94

:

almost the same thing every day.

95

:

He's a real creature of habit.

96

:

A good couple of pints

of coffee in the morning.

97

:

Dan 1: does drink

98

:

so

99

:

much coffee.

100

:

Tilly: and then he'll go for a poo.

101

:

I know this.

102

:

And then he'll have his breakfast,

which is very cyclical, but currently

103

:

he's in the cycle of, you know,

Berries, banana, yoghurt, granola.

104

:

Every day.

105

:

And I mean every day.

106

:

Dan 1: Pretty healthy.

107

:

Tilly: I mean, there's

a lot of sugary granola.

108

:

You know, a portion of granola you have

in yoghurt is meant to be like, you

109

:

know, maybe 30 grams, maybe 50 grams max.

110

:

Dan 1: No, I have half a bottle of canola.

111

:

Nice!

112

:

Tilly: got similar amounts of

sugar as like your weekend cereal.

113

:

Um, it just disguises itself as healthy.

114

:

Because of oats.

115

:

Lies.

116

:

Yeah, it's like a flapjack, isn't it?

117

:

We always feel like flapjack's

healthy, but it's really not.

118

:

I mean, it's definitely healthier

119

:

Dan 1: mean, it's definitely

healthier than like, just

120

:

Grabbin a, you know, Mars bar

121

:

Tilly: yeah, at least it has

got fibre and stuff in it.

122

:

Yeah, there is like

health properties there.

123

:

I

124

:

Dan 1: versus just chocolate.

125

:

Um, and

126

:

Tilly: mean, not, I'd say a lot, but.

127

:

Dan 1: pizanzas.

128

:

In a

129

:

pizanza, you would have beetroot,

royal onion, mayonnaise,

130

:

Tilly: then his lunch is two sandwiches,

two buckets of lentil crisps, but in his

131

:

sandwiches he always has beetroot, raw

red onion, and, Mayonnaise and cheddar,

132

:

which is a rough sandwich, and it

133

:

gives him indigestion, and

yet he has it every day.

134

:

Dan 1: day.

135

:

Nice.

136

:

But

137

:

Tilly: He's like, yeah,

the raw onions just

138

:

really plays up on me.

139

:

I'm like, why do you have it?

140

:

Why have it

141

:

every day.

142

:

Dan 1: Indigestion

143

:

is part of the habit

144

:

Tilly: Yeah, I mean, you could even

like, just lightly pickle your onions

145

:

and you wouldn't get the indigestion.

146

:

Anyway, so that's basically what, that's

the food I buy in for him, because

147

:

he's going to eat that every day.

148

:

And then I make him a, his dinner,

and then he's got his dinner

149

:

set while he's here, he'll have

the same dinner both nights.

150

:

Um,

151

:

I'm just going to make more fudge pie.

152

:

Dan 1: Good idea.

153

:

Tilly: um,

154

:

Dan 1: We'll get on to the gosh fine bits.

155

:

What

156

:

Tilly: want?

157

:

Dan 1: have you got?

158

:

Tilly: I have got my, sort of like, skia

159

:

yoghurt, with some peanut butter and some

160

:

protein granola.

161

:

Ooh!

162

:

Ooh!

163

:

Um, and a coffee.

164

:

My second coffee, because teething's real.

165

:

I'm gonna leave.

166

:

So, if

167

:

Dan 1: going to have one of

my Tenzings before we started.

168

:

Tilly: app.

169

:

You

170

:

Dan 1: So, if I start fading

just shout ENERGY at me.

171

:

And I'll boost myself.

172

:

Tilly: chair.

173

:

Yeah, um, okay,

174

:

Dan 1: But on the chat.

175

:

Um, okay.

176

:

Tilly: so I guess basically we're

about to go on our first real long road

177

:

trip as it were with Bubby aren't we?

178

:

Mm hmm.

179

:

Dan 1: Just one choose TV.

180

:

Tilly: Yeah, we've

181

:

timed it well.

182

:

Um, so.

183

:

Friends of ours have just had their

own baby, beautiful little Darcy.

184

:

Dan 1: on the pod?

185

:

Yeah.

186

:

Well

187

:

Tilly: phone.

188

:

Yes.

189

:

Well,

190

:

Dan 1: he will be,

191

:

he's

192

:

Tilly: Okay, so,

193

:

ooh, look forward to that.

194

:

Harry and

195

:

his wife, Gabe,

196

:

Dan 1: And he

197

:

Tilly: who are friends from university,

have had their first daughter, Darcy.

198

:

All is going well, and so they now live up

199

:

in Edinburgh.

200

:

Dan 1: was going to

201

:

Tilly: Again,

202

:

Um,

203

:

and so we're traveling up to see them

204

:

as well as

205

:

our friends, Lou and Luke,

who are actually expecting.

206

:

So it's very baby, baby, baby led trip,

but we've decided because trains are

207

:

mentally expensive and we feel like, I

feel like getting a plane is just not.

208

:

This is, not good for the planet,

that, we're gonna drive, but

209

:

it's, it's quite the drive.

210

:

Without any stops and good

traffic it's what, seven hours?

211

:

And obviously we're gonna have to

do a good few stops with Zo, for

212

:

like changes and feeds and things.

213

:

Because normally you can't

feed on the go, you know?

214

:

How about we like just flop

a tit into her car seat?

215

:

I feel like if you put

216

:

Dan 1: like if you put the

papoose on, and you feed in the

217

:

papoose, and you had the seatbelt

218

:

Tilly: your head.

219

:

Do

220

:

Dan 1: that cancels

221

:

Tilly: it up there.

222

:

Just flop your tits up.

223

:

But she can

224

:

Dan 1: Just

225

:

Tilly: she can hold it.

226

:

Her body won't take it.

227

:

Dan 1: though, is she

can hold her own bottle.

228

:

It might be worth making a

few bottles before we go.

229

:

Okay.

230

:

So how many syringes ready?

231

:

Only

232

:

Tilly: bottle, I think.

233

:

Um, because it won't

last that long anyway.

234

:

Dan 1: I'm

235

:

not that close

236

:

Tilly: botch.

237

:

Dan 1: 2 hours.

238

:

I'm more of a 4 6 0 guy.

239

:

Supposedly you're only

allowed to leave a bottle for

240

:

Tilly: a botch.

241

:

Pretend I'm not

242

:

Dan 1: 2 hours, when you've made

it with formula and stuff, so.

243

:

That's just, that's quite strange

sometimes, like at night, when

244

:

she decides that she's doing

it, and I have like, half a bit.

245

:

If I wake up in like a 4

246

:

Tilly: that.

247

:

You're not being a

248

:

Dan 1: I just give

249

:

Tilly: you have to

250

:

Dan 1: other half.

251

:

Tilly: super careful.

252

:

Dan 1: been

253

:

sick.

254

:

Yeah.

255

:

Tilly: But we're going to set

off really early, aren't we?

256

:

So, she normally wakes up

for a feed between 2 and 3.

257

:

2

258

:

Dan 1: Yeah, so we might

be setting off, uh, at

259

:

Tilly: take Fatty for

260

:

Dan 1: 2 or 3 in the morning, well

a bit later, because I'm going to

261

:

take Fatboy just for a quick walk.

262

:

Way awk!

263

:

Away awk!

264

:

Tilly: a feed, you'll take Fatty.

265

:

We're going to pack up the car tonight.

266

:

And then we'll just bundle her in and

hopefully because she's not with him,

267

:

we'll sleep for a good few hours again.

268

:

And so we'll give her a nappy change,

we'll give her a good feed, get her

269

:

in the car and she should sleep.

270

:

Dan 1: For three to four hours, in

which case we can cut half the journey.

271

:

Tilly: I mean, let's hope so.

272

:

I think probably less of a teething.

273

:

Dan 1: Yeah, but you've got the

momentum factor, remember, like,

274

:

Yeah, I'm being optimistic.

275

:

Yep.

276

:

Tilly: Lou and Luke tomorrow first.

277

:

We're going to go see

them in the afternoon.

278

:

And stay with them that night.

279

:

Which will be lovely.

280

:

Dan 1: Um, I can't

281

:

Tilly: isn't it?

282

:

I can't wait to see Darcy.

283

:

Really excited to see her.

284

:

Because obviously they're going to be best

285

:

Dan 1: Will does.

286

:

Tilly: in age now is like massive.

287

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

288

:

Yeah.

289

:

Tilly: We'll see.

290

:

Yeah.

291

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

292

:

Tilly: live in Edinburgh and

293

:

we

294

:

Dan 1: school!

295

:

I mean, if

296

:

Tilly: doing boarding school!

297

:

Dan 1: to week 4 in

school, I'm not going to

298

:

Tilly: Not even the week

boarding school you want to do.

299

:

I'm not farming out our children.

300

:

Dan 1: say no.

301

:

Tilly: I am.

302

:

Dan 1: Like, if they're in, like,

303

:

secondary school.

304

:

If they're in,

305

:

Tilly: It's been proven to be really

fucking awful for their mental health.

306

:

Dan 1: form.

307

:

Tilly: Six four, maybe.

308

:

Yeah, six four, they're

old enough at that point.

309

:

Dan 1: I think it's quite good

if you're in CIPFORM, because I,

310

:

I, if there are some of you listening,

know this, I hate when people go to uni,

311

:

and can only be there for the weekdays,

and then have to go home, because their

312

:

life's, because they're not like, ready to

313

:

Tilly: there for a week,

their lives, they're

314

:

Dan 1: And like, I spend the most

315

:

Tilly: I'll send them away to family

without us and that sort of thing.

316

:

Dan 1: horrid,

317

:

Tilly: when your kid's like, you

know, I used to go stay with my

318

:

grandparents for a couple of weeks

or whatever during the summer.

319

:

Dan 1: graphics are

320

:

Tilly: Lots of things are enforced,

but you enjoy it when you're

321

:

doing it different, do you?

322

:

Yeah.

323

:

Yeah, colouring and reading.

324

:

Playing with like, my grandparents are

325

:

like, always have this sort of like,

they're not really toys, but here's like,

326

:

you know, a wooden fish that's all built

with random bits so you can take apart

327

:

and put back together, and you know,

you do that, a good four or five times,

328

:

and you maybe, maybe you play Jenga by

329

:

Dan 1: and they do that, and

maybe you take over later.

330

:

That's so sad!

331

:

Find Jenga by yourself!

332

:

Now what do you

333

:

Tilly: So what do you

334

:

Dan 1: find Jenga so stressful.

335

:

It's

336

:

Tilly: was probably one of the only kid

things he had on, like, tape or whatever.

337

:

So

338

:

I'd just go sit in his little,

339

:

Dan 1: people,

340

:

Tilly: he's got like a little

sort of library TV nook.

341

:

Dan 1: video call?

342

:

It's just

343

:

Tilly: I'd go sit there and, yeah, just

344

:

watch James and, the Giant Peach.

345

:

Dan 1: like this game, I still

346

:

Tilly: Where as the grannies it was

always, What you had to do at granny's,

347

:

Every day, without fail, 2 in the

afternoon, afternoon play on radio 4.

348

:

We'd have

349

:

Dan 1: haven't played

350

:

Tilly: to sit and listen to that,

351

:

and she'd fall asleep

listening to it, on the sofa.

352

:

And I quite liked listening to it,

I still quite like the afternoon

353

:

play on radio 4, probably because of

that, I found it quite comforting.

354

:

Obviously when you read it, it's

quite a long time to sit still for.

355

:

Um, but once I was older and I'd

be there with Flobo, we'd play

356

:

like the games that Granny had.

357

:

See, Granny had like, only

a couple of games she had.

358

:

Sticks and Ladders, which

Flo would always cheat her.

359

:

Always.

360

:

How'd you

361

:

Dan 1: How do you cheat at stakes, man?

362

:

Tilly: would just not follow the dice or

whatever and just, like, slyly go up a

363

:

ladder when she wasn't really meant to.

364

:

It was very blatant, it wasn't subtle.

365

:

Dan 1: Oh, okay.

366

:

Tilly: But then she would

just absolutely deny it.

367

:

She's my mum's mum is a filthy

cheat when it comes to playing it.

368

:

Particularly when she's

against Uncle Joshie.

369

:

Um, or Pick Up Sticks.

370

:

Dan 1: Pick up stakes is the most

bullshit game I've ever heard.

371

:

Is it not just like I think

I've played it once, so I just

372

:

thought, this is just clearing up.

373

:

Tilly: loads and loads of

skewers, like wooden skewers.

374

:

But they're all,

375

:

generally they're all like

painted different colours.

376

:

No, no.

377

:

These

378

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

379

:

Oh.

380

:

Okay, I've done like, pick up snakes

381

:

Tilly: Oh, no.

382

:

This is like,

383

:

loads of them you drop on the floor.

384

:

I can't remember

385

:

Dan 1: have to

386

:

Tilly: game.

387

:

Is it?

388

:

I think you just gotta try

and pick them up moving.

389

:

I don't know what it is.

390

:

Pick them up.

391

:

Dan 1: pick up like a certain colour

without moving the others or something?

392

:

Tilly: Yeah, something like that.

393

:

Yeah, you're picking up sticks.

394

:

Dan 1: It just

395

:

sounds like elaborate cleaning up.

396

:

Tilly: You play that on repeat.

397

:

I think those were only two

games, just those two games.

398

:

So

399

:

Dan 1: So yeah, Zoe's gonna have a great

400

:

time.

401

:

Ha ha ha

402

:

Tilly: is she?

403

:

Granny's in her home.

404

:

Dan 1: No.

405

:

Tilly: Um, she might go stay

with her great granddad.

406

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

407

:

Tilly: I had a great time

when I used to go to there.

408

:

We'd always go to, it's always generally

quite educational stuff, so we'd

409

:

always do like the museums in London.

410

:

Dan 1: I'm not saying it

411

:

Tilly: And like the zoo,

412

:

Dan 1: time, I'm just

413

:

saying that some parts of it,

414

:

Tilly: of it.

415

:

And

416

:

Dan 1: on your

417

:

Tilly: child should be able

to entertain themselves.

418

:

Dan 1: It should, yeah, it should.

419

:

Just solo Jenga versus colouring or

drawing, I know which I would choose.

420

:

Tilly: Well, generally I would do drawing.

421

:

Dan 1: we

422

:

Tilly: them pictures.

423

:

So yes, and I don't know

how we got onto that.

424

:

Dan 1: were discussing if they would go

to the same school, and it would only

425

:

be a boarding school, and then you said

don't need to go to boarding school.

426

:

They're going to go away to my family's

and have a great time like I did as

427

:

a child playing Star Lord Jenga and

428

:

shredding papers.

429

:

Tilly: make a scrapbook.

430

:

My mum would give me a plain, like, book.

431

:

And I'd make a scrapbook of

all the things I did with them.

432

:

And I'd put in like, Like, tube receipts,

433

:

Dan 1: What?

434

:

Tilly: and, you know,

435

:

postcards from museums and things,

and I'd write in that, Me and Granny

436

:

made a chocolate cake today, and I'd

write the recipe in it, and tell you

437

:

Dan 1: tell you what,

438

:

people worry about millennials needing

overstimulation, well here we go,

439

:

Tilly does

440

:

not.

441

:

Give her some tube receipts,

442

:

she's off.

443

:

Tilly: My childhood was

very homemade, alright?

444

:

I wasn't like, posh and bougie.

445

:

A bit rough on my day, but alright.

446

:

Dan 1: just mean, mine was more.

447

:

chasing my old things which

was more down my alley.

448

:

So when it came to entertaining

myself it was more just like me

449

:

being like, I'm off out mum and then

I'll just go around chasing things.

450

:

Yeah.

451

:

Tilly: London, so And they're

both quite serious academics.

452

:

So that's kind of That's

the, that's the vibe.

453

:

Um, but they'll go to like your

grandparents and stuff, and they'll

454

:

be able to buy the Cornwall,

and they'll be grateful, and

455

:

they'll be in love with that.

456

:

You know, you'd rather take them

down to the, the Yacht Club,

457

:

or something real, real

458

:

class now.

459

:

Dan 1: You haven't been yet, have you?

460

:

Tilly: still not been there.

461

:

Dan 1: got a son right, won't be happy

462

:

Tilly: I feel like every time

we go there, we, we plan to

463

:

like bad weather or something.

464

:

Dan 1: the times we've been planning to

465

:

go on one of his mates boat.

466

:

Tilly: are on Monday.

467

:

I mean, actually, I don't

care about just going down to

468

:

the Yacht Club, particularly.

469

:

I mean, what is it, just a building?

470

:

Building in April,

471

:

Dan 1: It's quite nice,

that's right, on the,

472

:

Tilly: though, because

473

:

Dan 1: on the, um, estuary as it were.

474

:

But yeah, it keeps being shit weather or

something happens that means we can't go.

475

:

So, it's the weekend after last weekend.

476

:

Yeah, so I'm now, well, I meant to be

officially off, but I've got a few hours

477

:

of stuff that I need to tidy up before.

478

:

I set the out of office on, but yeah, my

final week before I'm off for 16 weeks on

479

:

shared paternity, shared parental leave.

480

:

So

481

:

Tilly: know what

482

:

Dan 1: who don't know shared parental

leave is whereby you curtail the mum's

483

:

maternity leave and the other parent takes

the amount that they've curtailed it by.

484

:

So, um, I'm going to have 16 weeks of,

485

:

Tilly: mean technically you

could probably take more,

486

:

Dan 1: your maternity eventually.

487

:

Yeah, you could, but you

wouldn't get statutory, so I

488

:

could take up to the full year,

489

:

Tilly: a full year, but

490

:

Dan 1: but I wouldn't get statutory.

491

:

Okay.

492

:

And, uh, and, yeah.

493

:

And the only reason why it's 16 weeks

for me is because that's how long, yeah.

494

:

Uh, no.

495

:

Because you'd finish the nine months.

496

:

So after nine months you

don't get any statutory pay.

497

:

I don't know why it's called

maternity leave, because it's

498

:

just actually unpaid time off.

499

:

Is what it should be called, but I guess

there's some, uh, rights around it, as

500

:

well, you can't be fired in those three

months, whereas I guess if you were just

501

:

on unpaid time off, I mean, I'm not a

I'm not a legal expert, you might be able

502

:

to be fired, but what I'm just saying

is, you've probably got better rights

503

:

Tilly: rights

504

:

Dan 1: on those three months of unpaid

maternity than if you just went.

505

:

I'm taking unpaid time

off for three months.

506

:

Ciao.

507

:

So you get nine months of statutory,

but I'm taking 16 weeks because my

508

:

work allows me to have full pay for

509

:

Tilly: to my work now.

510

:

Dan 1: 16 weeks.

511

:

Tilly: I don't

512

:

Dan 1: Yeah, burn off.

513

:

Tilly: going to do.

514

:

I

515

:

Dan 1: Sorry, what was that?

516

:

I don't know, my butt.

517

:

Tilly: don't know how to shut my mouth.

518

:

Shut

519

:

Dan 1: Dropped granola

to turn your bar, brah.

520

:

Okay.

521

:

RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH RAH.

522

:

RAH.

523

:

HEH.

524

:

HEH.

525

:

HEH.

526

:

HEH.

527

:

HEH.

528

:

Tilly: butter stuck my mouth together.

529

:

Dan 1: Oh well, this'll

probably go on video.

530

:

Just be cut out of the audio,

because it's a bit weird.

531

:

HEH HEH HEH HEH.

532

:

Tilly: Bit attractive.

533

:

Um.

534

:

Dan 1: So yeah, so, I'll be um,

Off from the next sixteen weeks,

535

:

up until the middle of July.

536

:

Tilly: of primary care giver.

537

:

Dan 1: Yeah, off work.

538

:

People keep saying that, people

keep going, so you're off work?

539

:

And I'm like, yeah, but it's meant to be

more stressful than 60 percent of jobs.

540

:

And they go, oh yeah, sorry, yeah, 90%.

541

:

And they go, oh yeah,

yeah, I can believe that.

542

:

I'd much prefer to be in the office.

543

:

I just mean you're off work.

544

:

Tilly: one bit of a sugar dream?

545

:

Dan 1: And they meant in terms of stress.

546

:

In the office with kids

is the way, isn't it?

547

:

I just also think

548

:

Tilly: enjoy it.

549

:

During the holidays, when people bring

the kids into work, you see the instantly

550

:

Dan 1: like, who are you fooling?

551

:

You're just going to spend the day

having to manage your children.

552

:

Tilly: Depends what age they're like.

553

:

They're older.

554

:

They just play on their phones.

555

:

Or like their iPads

next to them, basically.

556

:

how's

557

:

Dan 1: I think that for me the, the,

558

:

the crux of it is to

make sure that that is,

559

:

Tilly: is

560

:

Dan 1: My absolute priority for the

time off is looking after her like

561

:

there aren't there aren't days where

I'm meant to be looking after her And

562

:

I'm also meant to be doing something

563

:

Tilly: to be

564

:

Dan 1: because like whenever

565

:

Tilly: important.

566

:

Because,

567

:

Dan 1: I'm trying to do work

568

:

Tilly: do work,

569

:

Dan 1: and look after her I just find

it so stressful because she just doesn't

570

:

you know, she just decides that You

know, suddenly she needs to go for

571

:

a walk or suddenly she needs to, you

know, and she just cries and screams

572

:

and you're there like, I've literally

30 minutes left to do, I can do this

573

:

thing in 30 minutes if I'm uninterrupted.

574

:

And it becomes this game of kind of

575

:

Tilly: kind

576

:

Dan 1: over two hours doing

it in five minute increments.

577

:

And it's just so frustrating,

especially because I'm somebody

578

:

who likes to just sort of

compartmentalize my work, sit down.

579

:

Be like, this is the task,

580

:

I'm in the zone

581

:

of this task,

582

:

do it, not be like,

583

:

Tilly: the other way

584

:

Dan 1: and now I stop to change

a nappy, and now I stop to make

585

:

a bottle, and now I stop to

586

:

go for a walk.

587

:

Yeah.

588

:

Tilly: Dad on it's very like single minded

when he's got something on his brain and

589

:

you're like that's what I mean and that is

like what you're like but you just can't

590

:

do that when you're looking after her.

591

:

Dan 1: No.

592

:

And that's the thing, that's why

I want to get this work out, the

593

:

little bit of work that got left

out of the way as soon as possible.

594

:

And then there's not,

595

:

and, and that's why some

596

:

people have been like, Oh,

you should kind of take up a

597

:

project or take up some sort

of thing that you want to do.

598

:

And I don't really want to

because I'll then have something

599

:

that I'm like,

600

:

that I'm trying to

601

:

prioritize, and then

I'll have her as well.

602

:

So while I would like to like paint

my bike and stuff like that, I'm

603

:

going to wait a few weeks, get into

604

:

the

605

:

swing of it a bit more.

606

:

Hopefully her teething will decrease and

607

:

she'll increase being able to sort of,

have periods where she can entertain

608

:

Tilly: cafeterias where she's going

609

:

to play and

610

:

stuff.

611

:

But it's a bit like your type.

612

:

Once you start

613

:

Dan 1: But it's a bit like you're tired.

614

:

Once you start painting or once

you start heat stripping, you're

615

:

doing that until it's finished.

616

:

Um, and so if she decides

617

:

that she's going to cry just as I start

painting, or whatever, or just as, you

618

:

know, spray painting, or just as, I

start heat stripping, you're crying baby.

619

:

I can shout, I can

620

:

try and, you know, make

as lovely noises as I

621

:

can while I'm doing it.

622

:

Yeah.

623

:

So.

624

:

I'm trying to, there are lots of

things that keep popping into my

625

:

mind, being like, I should try and

do these, this during this time.

626

:

And I'm like,

627

:

Tilly: mind.

628

:

I'm trying to do these things.

629

:

What are that?

630

:

I'm trying

631

:

Dan 1: What I've actually thought is

I'm going to, watch so much stuff.

632

:

I'm trying to, not just

default to watch, I'm going

633

:

to try and track

634

:

how much

635

:

telly I watch.

636

:

Because I am worried that

I'm just going to end up

637

:

Tilly: worried that I just end up Exactly.

638

:

to

639

:

Dan 1: Yeah, for you it's different.

640

:

For me

641

:

I'm, I'm not very forgiving of

her laziness with the bottle.

642

:

I'm constantly just

like, making her hold it.

643

:

Keep adjusting, bring her hands up.

644

:

Tilly: up.

645

:

Makes

646

:

Dan 1: gets annoyed and drops it, and

I'm like, no, you're being lazy Zoe,

647

:

Tilly: though.

648

:

I don't think I'd call her lazy.

649

:

Do I have

650

:

Dan 1: I don't think I call her lazy.

651

:

Did I not say you're being lazy?

652

:

I agree if I say you are lazy.

653

:

Tilly: be lazy.

654

:

Dan 1: You put a lot

655

:

Tilly: she'll be

656

:

Dan 1: get a bottle and burp

657

:

Tilly: hold the bottle

and plug it all down.

658

:

I'll hate

659

:

Dan 1: Don't be lazy.

660

:

At five months, you should be able to

hold the bottle and plug it all down.

661

:

All eight ounces.

662

:

Burp yourself as well.

663

:

Yeah.

664

:

But yeah, you're right.

665

:

Tilly: but yeah, you're about to start

doing more of the housework as well.

666

:

Are you looking forward to that?

667

:

I

668

:

Dan 1: it'll be interesting.

669

:

Because I, in all honesty, I

670

:

have no clue how you managed

to do so much of the housework

671

:

while you've also got her.

672

:

Any time I try to do something like the

dishwasher while I've got her, it takes

673

:

me like an hour just to do the dishwasher.

674

:

I'm not the fastest at doing it anyway.

675

:

It probably takes me close

to 15 minutes without her.

676

:

I can do it in 10,

677

:

Tilly: in text.

678

:

Even

679

:

Dan 1: when I'm not.

680

:

I spend a lot of time trying to

work out how to optimally re stack

681

:

Tilly: read

682

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

683

:

So then, when you add her

to the mix, you're talking

684

:

Tilly: talk.

685

:

Spread it through the week.

686

:

So often I'll do mine all in

a day, so I'll have like a

687

:

day where I do my cleaning.

688

:

Whereas for you, that's probably

not going to work, so maybe

689

:

you just do one thing each day.

690

:

Cleaning.

691

:

Dan 1: a cleaning hour.

692

:

That

693

:

Tilly: Exactly, it once a week,

whereas I think for you it needs

694

:

to be daily, like a, like a,

breaking it down into daily tasks.

695

:

So being like, Monday I clean

it down to the toilet, and

696

:

Dan 1: it, so I always go out

for like, take her out on a pram

697

:

for like 15 minutes, make sure

she falls asleep, then come back.

698

:

And, what time does she

usually sleep the longest?

699

:

She

700

:

Tilly: She will tend to do,

701

:

depending on how her morning's

been and when her night's been,

702

:

like this sort of nap now can be

quite long, so sort of like her

703

:

early mid morning can be like an

hour maybe an hour and a half.

704

:

Two hours is not very particularly

common, but between an hour and

705

:

an hour and a half probably.

706

:

Dan 1: so take her out in

707

:

Tilly: if that'll be the same, I mean,

it won't always be possible because

708

:

I'll be at home, so I'll be doing booby

feets, but I don't know if it's going

709

:

to be the same because obviously she'll

fall asleep at the boob, so I don't know.

710

:

Dan 1: yeah, yeah, cool.

711

:

Tilly: it might be something like, I

give her a feed, then you take her for

712

:

that quick walk and she falls asleep.

713

:

Because if she does have a

feed, it should be quite good.

714

:

Um, then you come back and do it.

715

:

The moment, she's doing more

naps, because she's feeding more,

716

:

sleeping more, just because she's

717

:

Dan 1: See you.

718

:

Tilly: teething and needy.

719

:

Um, but I think that's the

way you're going to do it.

720

:

I think that's the way

you're going to do it.

721

:

Just do like a little task each day.

722

:

And also that it doesn't feel so

like, ugh, and do loads of stuff.

723

:

Which I know you're not good at.

724

:

That gets you down.

725

:

So if you've just got like one

thing that you particularly want

726

:

to do, you can sort of do it first

thing in the morning and then it's

727

:

Dan 1: Yeah, I am trying

to change that actually.

728

:

I don't

729

:

Tilly: have any things?

730

:

Um,

731

:

Dan 1: very good actually.

732

:

Um, and how about you?

733

:

Do you have anything?

734

:

Tilly: this has been my last

week probably of being like,

735

:

we're off together next week.

736

:

This has been my last week of

being off, just me and her really.

737

:

Um, which I feel like I have

mixed feelings about really.

738

:

I'm looking forward to working

and having a routine again.

739

:

Because as you know, I'm someone who

like, loves a routine and I'm, I'm

740

:

a much better person I think, a much

better version of myself in a routine.

741

:

Yeah,

742

:

yeah exactly.

743

:

Dan 1: Like,

744

:

Tilly: version.

745

:

Dan 1: yeah, but I mean, often people

say that when they mean like, You

746

:

know, becoming some sort of Zen

master instead of being a prick.

747

:

And it's, you know, it's

748

:

Tilly: No, I think generally, like,

749

:

personality wise,

750

:

personality and mood wise,

I'm pretty consistent,

751

:

Dan 1: Um Yeah.

752

:

Tilly: generally.

753

:

I'm not an overly up and down

person, other than a couple of

754

:

days after giving birth to her,

I was just crying for no reason.

755

:

That's fine.

756

:

Um and yeah,

757

:

Dan 1: the game.

758

:

so much.

759

:

Yeah.

760

:

so much for having

761

:

Tilly: so I guess it's more like,

I like having like, I can stick to

762

:

my healthy habits, like journaling,

meditation, exercising, all that

763

:

sort of stuff, when I'm in a routine.

764

:

So I'm looking forward

to that element of it.

765

:

Um, and I like looking

forward to working again.

766

:

I'm really glad that I'm being, I'm

able to do most of it from home, to

767

:

begin with, for the first few months.

768

:

Because I think if I'd had

to go from this, to being

769

:

back in the office every day.

770

:

I would really struggle.

771

:

I just think that'd be too much.

772

:

I'd be like, oh, I just, yeah.

773

:

I know I'd really struggle with that.

774

:

Whereas I know I'm still going to

be seeing her throughout the day.

775

:

For the little, you

know, half an hour feeds.

776

:

And that, so I think that

makes me feel a lot better.

777

:

And also I quite like the fact that

because I'm working from home and you're

778

:

not working, it means that we can actually

have quite a long evening together.

779

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

780

:

Tilly: I'm quite looking forward to that

actually because my, I work earlier in

781

:

the day and you work later in the day.

782

:

So I tend to start work about 7

783

:

Dan 1: Yeah,

784

:

Tilly: and then finish

around between 4 and

785

:

Dan 1: yeah.

786

:

Tilly: Um, and so yeah, that's it.

787

:

Dan 1: Because I start about half nine,

ten, and finish at like six or seven.

788

:

Tilly: Yeah, um, and so I'm hoping

that sort of, like you say, I

789

:

finish it like four most days.

790

:

Jim and I can finish it four, unless

I've got the first shift turned on.

791

:

Um, I can go to do my gym sash,

sort of clear my head for the day.

792

:

Come back about five ish,

and then that's our evening.

793

:

So we've got like four hours together

794

:

Dan 1: Yeah, that would be quite nice,

because currently our evening has

795

:

Tilly: for starting to

build a routine in for her

796

:

Dan 1: Yeah, it's nothing like

797

:

washing, massaging,

798

:

Tilly: so we can like

799

:

have dinner Probably I think

start our dinner probably earlier

800

:

Dan 1: Seven or six?

801

:

Tilly: Or because if we were thinking

if she's gonna start weaning and she's

802

:

has say has her weaning meal Begin

with as her evening meal because that's

803

:

when we can do it together.

804

:

I think it makes the most sense

805

:

Dan 1: yeah.

806

:

Tilly: had it like yeah six ish

807

:

Dan 1: The TV dinners are dead.

808

:

That's it,

809

:

Tilly: I think for now, at least

for the majority of the time, yeah.

810

:

Um,

811

:

Dan 1: now on, it's at the table.

812

:

It's family dinner time.

813

:

Tilly: um, you still have TV snack time.

814

:

Don't

815

:

Dan 1: Isn't that all TV time?

816

:

Tilly: Must be consuming snacks.

817

:

Um,

818

:

mindlessly eating in front

819

:

of the TV.

820

:

Dan 1: Get that blow up!

821

:

Tilly: I'll say this in a minute,

say cozy couple to me in a minute.

822

:

Um, not right now, in a minute, um, But

yeah, cause we'll have to like, you know,

823

:

have an early dinner with her, and then

we can start building up a sheet and

824

:

hopefully start putting, even if she's

not in, still while she's in the room with

825

:

us, we'll start putting her down at seven.

826

:

With

827

:

Dan 1: In which room?

828

:

Tilly: us, but in the next to me.

829

:

Dan 1: Oh, I see what you mean.

830

:

Okay,

831

:

Tilly: And then,

832

:

well obviously then we'll start

moving her into her own room.

833

:

But just to begin with,

she'll still be in with us.

834

:

But like, to start, that I think of

like, us not going to bed with her.

835

:

Um, so like sort of, having

dinner, then having like a nice

836

:

like relaxing bath and things.

837

:

And a feed, and then putting her to bed.

838

:

And then us having a couple

of hours to ourselves.

839

:

I know.

840

:

And also I think it'd be nice to start

doing evening walks with the dog.

841

:

It'd be nice if we could do sort

of double walks a day with him.

842

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

843

:

Tilly: Um, sort of before dinner, going

for a nice little walk or whatever.

844

:

You all gonna start being cooking dinners?

845

:

Dan 1: Oh yeah.

846

:

yeah.

847

:

so you've got to start buying one of

848

:

Tilly: I need to, yeah,

849

:

remember to message mum because

she's got a discount code for Gusto.

850

:

So, exactly, so

851

:

Dan 1: of HelloFresh ones as well.

852

:

Cozy

853

:

Tilly: of all the fruit,

the reduced prices

854

:

Dan 1: that's not

855

:

Tilly: Um,

856

:

Dan 1: about

857

:

it.

858

:

Probably not worth the nine, yeah.

859

:

Tilly: And then, so yeah, so we

do her, sort of, building that

860

:

routine of like, you know, bath and

then a feed, or like, give her a

861

:

little, we start doing more reading.

862

:

So, sort of, reading to her, putting

her down, and then hopefully she'll be

863

:

sleeping, and then if she stays asleep

when we go to bed at, say, nine, maybe

864

:

we'll do something for later, who knows?

865

:

Probably not, because she's

still waking up a lot.

866

:

I think it's obviously why she's still

waking up, it doesn't make much sense.

867

:

So, say we go to bed at 9.

868

:

If she's asleep, we'll

give her a dream feed.

869

:

Dan 1: A dream, she

870

:

Tilly: Dream feed.

871

:

Dan 1: in my book, does that really exist?

872

:

So we'll read that one first.

873

:

Oh, yeah.

874

:

Tilly: I don't know, you

have to kind of, it's like,

875

:

it's when you, feed

her while she's asleep.

876

:

So, I can't do it with a bottle,

but I can do it with boob,

877

:

I found.

878

:

So, like, yesterday when you

gave it to me, when I got back.

879

:

She's staying asleep, but I put her on

the move and then she'll start feeding.

880

:

I sort of just

881

:

wave my nipple around her mouth

for a little bit, and then

882

:

eventually she sort of latches on.

883

:

Ha ha ha.

884

:

Dan 1: What a life as a baby hair.

885

:

It's like something out of a cartoon,

you know, where they've got like this, is

886

:

it like Tom and Jerry or whatever, where

887

:

they're

888

:

just sort of waving a bit of cheese around

889

:

and then suddenly Yeah.

890

:

Tilly: And then she'll let it

in and she'll go, oh, okay,

891

:

mum mum mum mum mum mum mum.

892

:

Um, so that way often you can give her a

feed without her waking up, but it'll keep

893

:

her, it'll keep her asleep for longer.

894

:

It's helping prolong those, those sleeps.

895

:

So you give her a feed, put her

down, and then, you know, when

896

:

she wakes up, when she wakes up.

897

:

Um, so yeah, I'm quite looking forward

to that part about going back to work.

898

:

Really focusing on

building those routines.

899

:

Um, particularly when we start

transferring her over to her own room.

900

:

Dan 1: Yep.

901

:

Tilly: Um, yeah, I think generally

I feel positive about it.

902

:

I feel ready to go back to work.

903

:

Dan 1: No eye contact.

904

:

Baby's awake.

905

:

Tilly: so yes, generally positive.

906

:

And whilst we had this week,

907

:

I've had one of my other friends turn 30,

we're all turning 30 in the same month,

908

:

so it's a month of 30s.

909

:

Um, so I went to see her yesterday.

910

:

which is lovely.

911

:

Um, I did a little surprise

picnic in the park.

912

:

so

913

:

in my family, when you have a birthday,

914

:

We do like a birthday

chair, so We decorate it.

915

:

with like streamers and

916

:

balloons and

917

:

we go all out and it's very camp and

918

:

OTT.

919

:

and

920

:

so I wanted to do it for her but obviously

I wasn't there for the breakfast,

921

:

which is what we tend to do it.

922

:

So I took her to the park and

I decorated the bench while she

923

:

closed her eyes with streamers.

924

:

And I got like a candle out, which just

kept blowing out because it was too windy.

925

:

And we had bubbles and like little

snacks and we just, you know,

926

:

spent a nice couple of hours just

sitting there having a little drink.

927

:

And what was actually quite cold and windy

actually, we got pretty chilly by the

928

:

end.

929

:

Dan 1: then tonight

930

:

Tilly: And then tonight we're

actually going back into London

931

:

for her sort of birthday

dinner, aren't we?

932

:

Dan 1: a movie

933

:

Tilly: Um,

934

:

Dan 1: we're going to be getting in

935

:

the car at like 3am and

936

:

Tilly: really knackered.

937

:

Um,

938

:

Dan 1: some, you've got a lot of

cooking to do today because you're

939

:

going to make some cotch pie

940

:

for

941

:

Tilly: a birthday cake.

942

:

So I'm making

943

:

Tash for her birthday, uh,

almond and orange cake.

944

:

like a nice rich almond sponge, and

then I'm doing Uh, orange cream cheese

945

:

buttercream with also some bitter

marmalade in the layers as well.

946

:

And some crunched almonds.

947

:

Then I've got loads of like real

camp rainbow sprinkles to cover

948

:

in because she loves colour.

949

:

All the colour.

950

:

Dan 1: more than I love colour.

951

:

Tilly: She does.

952

:

Um, so we're going into that.

953

:

so now we're going to a nice Thai

restaurant and Zoe's coming with us.

954

:

We're going to get her the party clothes.

955

:

Uh, and I'm also making for Harry and

Gabe, the ones who just had the babe,

956

:

the darsty babe, um, some

meals for their freezer.

957

:

That's what I always do

when my friends have kids.

958

:

So I just

959

:

think,

960

:

Dan 1: maybe, it's just a

961

:

Tilly: sometimes you can make

meals, but sometimes you're

962

:

really tired and can't be arsed.

963

:

but also you want to still try

and get some good nutrition,

964

:

especially if you are breastfeeding.

965

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

966

:

Um,

967

:

Tilly: Um,

968

:

and so I'm just going to make them

some cottage pies, because I feel

969

:

like most people like cottage pie.

970

:

Dan 1: going to use some of

our vegan protein mix though?

971

:

Because that way it won't go

972

:

Tilly: it's like, it's pea, pea mints.

973

:

Mmm.

974

:

Dan 1: protein for breastfeeding.

975

:

That is true.

976

:

Look at

977

:

Tilly: Um, which is a

legume, which also means.

978

:

Dan 1: is the

979

:

Tilly: So

980

:

Dan 1: one, really.

981

:

Tilly: I'm going to do them a few

cottage pies that they can have

982

:

them from freezer to oven whenever

they fancy it or need a meal.

983

:

And we've got them a little sort of

projector light that Zoe loved, didn't we?

984

:

So it sort of projects shapes and

lights onto the walls, and sort

985

:

of

986

:

Dan 1: just trying to grab

987

:

Tilly: spins around.

988

:

So it's quite good when

babies are learning to track

989

:

and it just keeps them quite occupied.

990

:

We found with Zola it was really good.

991

:

Like when she was young, she didn't

like being, having her nappy changed.

992

:

It was, it distracted her quite well.

993

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

994

:

Tilly: and I went, I went, I

wanted to get them some No Seco,

995

:

Dan 1: Yeah.

996

:

Tilly: they didn't have any

non alcoholic sort of bubbles.

997

:

So I figured when we, we can stop

at a shop on the way and get yes.

998

:

So today's a lot of cooking.

999

:

And then I think we should

do a bit of cleaning.

:

00:35:11,402 --> 00:35:13,031

I'd give us a long list, but

it's not gonna get done today.

:

00:35:13,173 --> 00:35:14,973

But then we should make sure the

spares okay for my dad because

:

00:35:14,973 --> 00:35:15,831

that's what he's gonna be staying.

:

00:35:16,478 --> 00:35:17,193

And then just sort of make sure the

:

00:35:17,254 --> 00:35:17,693

Dan 1: boring chat.

:

00:35:17,864 --> 00:35:18,197

Move on.

:

00:35:18,445 --> 00:35:18,749

Well,

:

00:35:18,964 --> 00:35:19,164

Tilly: done.

:

00:35:19,307 --> 00:35:19,564

Alright.

:

00:35:19,663 --> 00:35:20,881

Dan 1: just list off, uh

:

00:35:20,881 --> 00:35:22,404

Yeah, it's a quick way

:

00:35:22,478 --> 00:35:23,193

Tilly: I was just gonna say

:

00:35:23,697 --> 00:35:24,869

we should do bit of cleaning.

:

00:35:24,869 --> 00:35:25,093

That's all.

:

00:35:25,144 --> 00:35:25,449

Dan 1: all.

:

00:35:25,449 --> 00:35:25,753

innit?

:

00:35:26,035 --> 00:35:26,477

Tilly: That's all.

:

00:35:26,477 --> 00:35:26,903

isn't it?

:

00:35:26,903 --> 00:35:28,180

That's a bit sassy, doesn't it?

:

00:35:28,189 --> 00:35:29,407

Dan 1: walks until he gets

:

00:35:29,457 --> 00:35:30,521

Tilly: take Matty for another walk,

:

00:35:31,264 --> 00:35:31,493

isn't it?

:

00:35:36,635 --> 00:35:38,026

Dan 1: So, do you have any

highs, lows and funnies?

:

00:35:38,569 --> 00:35:40,978

Tilly: I sort of said all my good stuff

and things throughout the week, really.

:

00:35:41,026 --> 00:35:42,902

My lows have been had

seedings, pretty horrible.

:

00:35:42,940 --> 00:35:48,312

Highs have been, you know, going to see

friends and things and having a nice time.

:

00:35:48,502 --> 00:35:52,259

Um Her grabbing thing

has been pretty funny.

:

00:35:52,383 --> 00:35:53,040

What else has she done?

:

00:35:53,040 --> 00:35:58,564

Her shrieking is quite funny.

:

00:35:58,726 --> 00:36:00,040

She's doing a really high pitch.

:

00:36:00,450 --> 00:36:01,812

It's like dog level noise, isn't

:

00:36:01,954 --> 00:36:03,154

Dan 1: Yeah, it's pretty horrible.

:

00:36:03,478 --> 00:36:04,154

Tilly: I quite like it.

:

00:36:04,773 --> 00:36:05,297

It's quite nice.

:

00:36:05,754 --> 00:36:07,307

She's just starting to

vocalise, isn't she?

:

00:36:07,507 --> 00:36:07,678

Dan 1: She

:

00:36:07,678 --> 00:36:10,193

is fortunate she's not done any of

it on the podcast, I was worried that

:

00:36:10,202 --> 00:36:11,669

we'd just have an hour of her shrieking

:

00:36:12,069 --> 00:36:12,650

in the background,

:

00:36:12,926 --> 00:36:13,212

Tilly: stuff on your hand?

:

00:36:14,707 --> 00:36:15,346

Are that toothpicks?

:

00:36:15,346 --> 00:36:16,130

My highs.

:

00:36:16,130 --> 00:36:16,522

Joy

:

00:36:16,573 --> 00:36:16,926

Dan 1: more milk.

:

00:36:17,305 --> 00:36:17,697

Tilly: back

:

00:36:18,040 --> 00:36:23,199

Dan 1: Um, okay, so let's see, my

highs, um, I've enjoyed getting back

:

00:36:23,199 --> 00:36:25,774

into our dog walks every morning.

:

00:36:25,774 --> 00:36:27,491

That's been quite nice.

:

00:36:27,491 --> 00:36:28,778

Yeah, I bet.

:

00:36:30,250 --> 00:36:31,764

Tilly: I've been

:

00:36:31,959 --> 00:36:35,007

Dan 1: When was on my training course

doing it, we did it every morning.

:

00:36:36,316 --> 00:36:36,373

Tilly: enjoying

:

00:36:36,416 --> 00:36:36,512

Dan 1: Fine.

:

00:36:36,512 --> 00:36:37,464

I've been enjoying it.

:

00:36:37,902 --> 00:36:39,435

All right, been enjoying it.

:

00:36:40,607 --> 00:36:41,331

Um,

:

00:36:41,531 --> 00:36:42,997

and um,

:

00:36:43,035 --> 00:36:43,988

a little family walks

:

00:36:44,778 --> 00:36:46,378

and then my

:

00:36:46,788 --> 00:36:47,369

low

:

00:36:47,464 --> 00:36:47,702

was,

:

00:36:48,178 --> 00:36:51,788

well my Yeah, my, my funny,

actually we'll go with funny.

:

00:36:52,359 --> 00:36:52,521

My

:

00:36:52,521 --> 00:36:52,778

funny

:

00:36:52,778 --> 00:36:54,188

was when we had that piss incident.

:

00:36:54,557 --> 00:36:56,490

Tilly: had that piss incident.

:

00:36:56,493 --> 00:36:57,016

Dan 1: do you remember?

:

00:36:57,502 --> 00:36:58,693

Was it Thursday or Wednesday?

:

00:36:58,693 --> 00:37:02,378

Where I Was changing her.

:

00:37:02,740 --> 00:37:02,921

But

:

00:37:02,950 --> 00:37:03,493

sometimes

:

00:37:03,493 --> 00:37:04,369

it's actually,

:

00:37:04,683 --> 00:37:07,045

she starts screaming because her

nappy's full, and she doesn't

:

00:37:07,045 --> 00:37:08,162

want to do another piss in it.

:

00:37:08,162 --> 00:37:11,912

And so what happens is, you take the

nappy off, And then she starts peeing.

:

00:37:12,997 --> 00:37:14,407

I didn't realize it was one of those.

:

00:37:14,407 --> 00:37:16,121

I thought she had just peed in it.

:

00:37:16,731 --> 00:37:21,778

I took her nappy off, and then, I think

I, I think, What was I trying to grab?

:

00:37:21,883 --> 00:37:23,026

Tilly: Just playing around

with her for too long.

:

00:37:23,273 --> 00:37:25,093

Dan 1: Yeah, I was just playing

with her while she was down there.

:

00:37:25,588 --> 00:37:25,931

And then

:

00:37:26,178 --> 00:37:26,397

you just

:

00:37:26,531 --> 00:37:27,893

started peeing all over, didn't you?

:

00:37:28,378 --> 00:37:29,683

And then there was just a big

:

00:37:29,997 --> 00:37:30,473

flotilla of piss.

:

00:37:30,474 --> 00:37:32,269

A big little pond of piss.

:

00:37:32,269 --> 00:37:32,845

Piss pond.

:

00:37:33,369 --> 00:37:33,997

All

:

00:37:34,054 --> 00:37:35,435

on the mat.

:

00:37:35,435 --> 00:37:37,026

And

:

00:37:37,545 --> 00:37:37,793

Yep, she

:

00:37:37,802 --> 00:37:41,535

started dancing in it, it

was like watching, singing in

:

00:37:41,535 --> 00:37:41,973

the rain,

:

00:37:42,050 --> 00:37:43,173

but you just kicking

:

00:37:43,173 --> 00:37:43,573

piss all

:

00:37:43,573 --> 00:37:44,135

over the place.

:

00:37:44,340 --> 00:37:44,893

Tilly: the Urine.

:

00:37:44,912 --> 00:37:48,059

Dan 1: ha ha, singing in the urine!

:

00:37:51,564 --> 00:37:54,116

Um, so that was my funny, and

then my low was definitely

:

00:37:54,269 --> 00:37:56,193

yesterday, yesterday afternoon.

:

00:37:57,107 --> 00:38:02,402

So um, basically, I think almost as

soon as you gave her to me, like when I

:

00:38:02,402 --> 00:38:04,002

brought her in, she had filled her nappy.

:

00:38:04,897 --> 00:38:09,402

And, so, I was still meant to be working,

and you were off to go see your friend.

:

00:38:09,550 --> 00:38:09,821

Tilly: happens.

:

00:38:09,821 --> 00:38:10,092

Why

:

00:38:10,116 --> 00:38:12,869

Dan 1: Um, and so I needed to look

after her and try and finish my work.

:

00:38:13,497 --> 00:38:17,507

Um, and, basically, long, long

story short, that didn't happen,

:

00:38:17,535 --> 00:38:19,413

hence why I've still got work to do.

:

00:38:19,413 --> 00:38:20,392

As soon as I brought

:

00:38:20,564 --> 00:38:21,935

her in, she needed a nappy change.

:

00:38:22,354 --> 00:38:25,421

So, yeah, as soon as I brought her in

from the car, from dropping you off at

:

00:38:25,421 --> 00:38:27,469

the station, she needed a nappy change.

:

00:38:27,783 --> 00:38:28,973

I went to change a nappy, and

:

00:38:29,245 --> 00:38:30,007

Tilly: nappy, and

:

00:38:30,440 --> 00:38:34,297

Dan 1: um, somebody sent me a message

on Teams while I was mid nappy change.

:

00:38:34,297 --> 00:38:36,488

So I just went to go see what that was.

:

00:38:36,621 --> 00:38:37,412

and between me

:

00:38:37,478 --> 00:38:38,993

and the, um,

:

00:38:39,440 --> 00:38:42,593

it was on the table between mine,

the laptop and the nappy changing,

:

00:38:42,773 --> 00:38:44,453

changing that was the car seat.

:

00:38:44,453 --> 00:38:45,983

So I couldn't see what was going on.

:

00:38:45,983 --> 00:38:46,583

And the

:

00:38:46,583 --> 00:38:49,602

next thing I hear all this

shrieking and I look over.

:

00:38:50,478 --> 00:38:52,450

And she's grabbed a cold cup of tea

:

00:38:52,783 --> 00:38:52,926

and

:

00:38:52,926 --> 00:38:54,145

just pulled it all over her.

:

00:38:54,145 --> 00:38:55,573

And so she's just

:

00:38:55,573 --> 00:38:55,669

now

:

00:38:55,669 --> 00:38:55,973

in this

:

00:38:56,802 --> 00:38:57,145

pool

:

00:38:57,145 --> 00:38:58,097

of cold tea,

:

00:38:58,773 --> 00:38:58,888

just

:

00:38:59,202 --> 00:39:00,526

having an awful time with it.

:

00:39:01,412 --> 00:39:02,050

Um,

:

00:39:02,793 --> 00:39:03,650

and so

:

00:39:03,764 --> 00:39:03,888

I

:

00:39:03,897 --> 00:39:06,135

then had to, uh,

:

00:39:06,135 --> 00:39:07,850

to, to change her out of all her clothes.

:

00:39:08,393 --> 00:39:10,968

And just quickly just kind of message

the person, just say, look, I'm gonna

:

00:39:10,968 --> 00:39:12,475

have to get back to my work later.

:

00:39:12,475 --> 00:39:14,059

I've got to take her out for a walk.

:

00:39:14,621 --> 00:39:16,316

So I think I spent about

an hour and a half.

:

00:39:17,245 --> 00:39:19,959

Of the four hours that I was

meant to be working, walking,

:

00:39:20,578 --> 00:39:21,102

and then

:

00:39:22,054 --> 00:39:22,131

Tilly: I

:

00:39:22,197 --> 00:39:22,750

Dan 1: about another two

:

00:39:22,750 --> 00:39:25,264

of them doing other stuff.

:

00:39:25,264 --> 00:39:26,921

Don't pull the cables.

:

00:39:27,616 --> 00:39:28,816

Doing other baby stuff.

:

00:39:29,559 --> 00:39:31,635

Um, and so yeah, I think

I got a whole of like

:

00:39:31,712 --> 00:39:32,112

an hour and

:

00:39:32,112 --> 00:39:33,540

a half done for the whole afternoon.

:

00:39:33,978 --> 00:39:35,293

That's sort of about three hours.

:

00:39:35,931 --> 00:39:36,188

But it,

:

00:39:36,283 --> 00:39:39,003

eventually you fell asleep,

and then I got to do some work

:

00:39:39,003 --> 00:39:39,145

at,

:

00:39:39,945 --> 00:39:43,612

But, yeah, it was very stressful, because

those are the times that I'm talking about

:

00:39:43,612 --> 00:39:47,973

where I'm like, I'm meant to be doing

something else, I need to do this stuff,

:

00:39:47,983 --> 00:39:49,783

and she's like, but I need your attention

:

00:39:49,793 --> 00:39:50,393

now!

:

00:39:50,726 --> 00:39:51,669

And I'm like, oh, I

:

00:39:51,707 --> 00:39:51,916

can't

:

00:39:51,916 --> 00:39:53,269

do both, fuck off!

:

00:39:54,077 --> 00:39:58,151

Tilly: fuck off

:

00:39:58,402 --> 00:40:02,593

Dan 1: any projects like

that on, while I'm on leave.

:

00:40:04,593 --> 00:40:06,159

Tilly: Skiddly up a pa!

:

00:40:06,159 --> 00:40:07,202

Sketch up!

:

00:40:07,469 --> 00:40:10,183

So, this week I mean, she's been

finding her poos, hasn't she?

:

00:40:10,183 --> 00:40:10,840

Because of the teething.

:

00:40:10,840 --> 00:40:22,112

Dan 1: Yeah.

:

00:40:22,798 --> 00:40:26,189

Tilly: and she did one poo, and I

was like, okay, it didn't explode,

:

00:40:26,189 --> 00:40:28,941

it contained it, it got off

quickly, it's all good, happy days.

:

00:40:30,503 --> 00:40:32,636

And then sort of like an hour later,

she was like, ugh, again, and sort of

:

00:40:32,636 --> 00:40:34,670

pushed out another one, I was like,

okay, and then she, ugh, pushed out

:

00:40:34,670 --> 00:40:35,731

another one, it really gets changed.

:

00:40:36,855 --> 00:40:38,274

Got on the changing mat, she

looked like she'd finished, she

:

00:40:38,274 --> 00:40:39,236

was sort of smiling and relaxed.

:

00:40:40,636 --> 00:40:40,731

So

:

00:40:40,731 --> 00:40:41,551

then I started to clean her,

:

00:40:41,998 --> 00:40:44,389

and just as I was sort of like, about

to pull the dirty nappy away, it just

:

00:40:44,589 --> 00:40:46,751

started like, pouring out of her arsehole,

:

00:40:47,208 --> 00:40:47,360

like a

:

00:40:47,360 --> 00:40:48,427

little poo fountain.

:

00:40:48,505 --> 00:40:48,887

Dan 1: Really?

:

00:40:48,887 --> 00:40:49,269

Oh.

:

00:40:49,269 --> 00:40:49,651

Oh.

:

00:40:49,651 --> 00:40:50,033

Oh!

:

00:40:50,033 --> 00:40:50,415

So

:

00:40:50,649 --> 00:40:51,005

Tilly: Oh.

:

00:40:51,005 --> 00:40:54,084

and then it just kept ringing, I was

like, no, because I'm worried it's going

:

00:40:54,235 --> 00:40:56,146

Dan 1: Yeah, it's a little creased

:

00:40:56,191 --> 00:40:56,322

Tilly: battery?

:

00:40:56,322 --> 00:40:58,701

Yeah, so I was like, I sort of lifted

her up while she was doing it, so

:

00:40:58,701 --> 00:41:00,722

make sure it flew away from her, so

she doesn't get all up her back and

:

00:41:00,970 --> 00:41:01,770

stuff, because it was pretty full

:

00:41:01,770 --> 00:41:02,179

already.

:

00:41:02,260 --> 00:41:02,793

Dan 1: Yeah, I know.

:

00:41:02,831 --> 00:41:04,279

Sometimes it looks like it's

going to overfill because

:

00:41:04,698 --> 00:41:05,565

they're real, like, liquidy,

:

00:41:05,722 --> 00:41:06,170

Tilly: Yeah.

:

00:41:06,517 --> 00:41:07,219

Dan 1: sloshy boobs.

:

00:41:07,219 --> 00:41:07,559

Um,

:

00:41:07,559 --> 00:41:08,579

I still have

:

00:41:08,884 --> 00:41:10,227

Tilly: but managed to somehow

keep her baby grow clean.

:

00:41:11,584 --> 00:41:12,346

Dan 1: Well done.

:

00:41:13,089 --> 00:41:13,108

Yeah.

:

00:41:13,851 --> 00:41:16,146

Sorry, I've got her set up into

balance in a very weird way.

:

00:41:16,155 --> 00:41:17,374

I meant to put her arms through.

:

00:41:17,836 --> 00:41:18,646

Tilly: She's smiling, she's happy.

:

00:41:19,103 --> 00:41:21,503

Um, so yeah, I think that's probably

my big poo story of the week,

:

00:41:21,503 --> 00:41:24,160

but generally the whole week I've

sort of been waiting for Poonami.

:

00:41:24,674 --> 00:41:26,151

I feel like I'm like, I don't

want to put anything white

:

00:41:26,179 --> 00:41:26,960

because I feel like it's coming.

:

00:41:27,246 --> 00:41:28,836

Well, the other day I was like, I

really wanted to go to the shop.

:

00:41:28,874 --> 00:41:31,417

So I know as soon as I put in

the bouncer, like the bouncer,

:

00:41:31,565 --> 00:41:31,651

Dan 1: Look at Pooh.

:

00:41:31,855 --> 00:41:34,122

Tilly: poo poos, because that

often that sort of movement

:

00:41:34,336 --> 00:41:34,889

Dan 1: The jiggling.

:

00:41:34,889 --> 00:41:36,746

Shakespeare,

:

00:41:36,798 --> 00:41:37,960

Tilly: don't want to

get halfway to Tesco's.

:

00:41:38,093 --> 00:41:40,884

And I'll be like, And I'll

be like, Sometimes you don't

:

00:41:40,884 --> 00:41:42,152

notice when she's in that.

:

00:41:42,152 --> 00:41:44,182

We've kind of leaked

through before, haven't we?

:

00:41:44,182 --> 00:41:47,226

I sort of just didn't go for

the shots for that reason.

:

00:41:47,226 --> 00:41:49,509

I braved it to Lidl

because it's much closer.

:

00:41:49,509 --> 00:41:51,538

In fact, I did brave it to Tesco.

:

00:41:51,538 --> 00:41:54,493

Um, so yeah.

:

00:41:55,446 --> 00:41:57,065

Been a sort of week of

waiting for poos, isn't it?

:

00:41:57,431 --> 00:41:59,408

Dan 1: Yeah, it has

been a lot of like, Not

:

00:41:59,693 --> 00:41:59,922

daily.

:

00:41:59,970 --> 00:42:01,960

Tilly: Although tell, tell them

about your poo, like the poo last

:

00:42:01,960 --> 00:42:02,817

night, it was quite impressive.

:

00:42:03,522 --> 00:42:03,808

Dan 1: Uh, so

:

00:42:03,931 --> 00:42:04,351

last

:

00:42:04,351 --> 00:42:04,646

night,

:

00:42:04,836 --> 00:42:06,408

during all the teething

and stuff like that,

:

00:42:07,236 --> 00:42:07,703

She,

:

00:42:07,703 --> 00:42:10,017

um, she finally got to sleep, and then

:

00:42:10,084 --> 00:42:10,465

she did a poo.

:

00:42:11,122 --> 00:42:12,770

You were still awake,

so you heard her do it.

:

00:42:13,312 --> 00:42:14,703

And then you woke me to change her.

:

00:42:14,760 --> 00:42:18,046

And we managed to change her,

while she was still asleep.

:

00:42:18,046 --> 00:42:19,570

Because we were really worried

that she was going to wake

:

00:42:19,570 --> 00:42:20,636

up and not get enough sleep.

:

00:42:20,693 --> 00:42:24,036

She was in a, in a, because obviously

we were doing teething and everything.

:

00:42:24,846 --> 00:42:26,112

Takes her a long time to get to sleep.

:

00:42:26,113 --> 00:42:28,551

So we managed to change

her, and it was pretty much

:

00:42:28,598 --> 00:42:30,112

half in the dark, because we

:

00:42:30,474 --> 00:42:32,427

didn't put the lights on properly

to try and keep her asleep.

:

00:42:32,427 --> 00:42:33,265

So we got a bit

:

00:42:33,265 --> 00:42:37,655

of shit on the changing that, but the

bed, the bed's managed to stay clean,

:

00:42:37,655 --> 00:42:38,970

but we've changed her on the bed,

:

00:42:39,232 --> 00:42:41,008

Tilly: left her sleeping

on the changing mat.

:

00:42:41,274 --> 00:42:43,665

So we sort of slid the changing

mat in between us and the bed and

:

00:42:43,665 --> 00:42:46,217

then she just slept on the changing

mat rather than risk taking it.

:

00:42:46,217 --> 00:42:46,541

Flopping off.

:

00:42:46,693 --> 00:42:47,303

Hi there!

:

00:42:47,303 --> 00:42:47,951

You know, she's actually doing that

:

00:42:47,951 --> 00:42:48,170

thing.

:

00:42:48,465 --> 00:42:48,617

Yeah.

:

00:42:49,598 --> 00:42:49,684

Hi!

:

00:42:49,684 --> 00:42:50,979

Hi!

:

00:42:52,084 --> 00:42:53,541

Um, so those are our poo

stories from this week.

:

00:42:53,541 --> 00:42:54,741

But I think I was quite

impressed with you, darling.

:

00:42:55,189 --> 00:42:55,522

Thank you.

:

00:42:56,203 --> 00:42:56,489

Dan 1: tried.

:

00:42:56,584 --> 00:42:57,017

Tilly: I know.

:

00:42:57,760 --> 00:43:00,836

Um, and we used her sleep suit as

a blanket that we've never used.

:

00:43:00,836 --> 00:43:02,301

We've used it like once or twice, that,

:

00:43:02,301 --> 00:43:02,485

her.

:

00:43:02,485 --> 00:43:02,668

Yeah.

:

00:43:02,668 --> 00:43:04,512

But she doesn't like

being in stuff, does she?

:

00:43:04,908 --> 00:43:06,546

Dan 1: Well, she also doesn't

like sleeping on her own.

:

00:43:07,003 --> 00:43:09,431

It's good for if you actually,

like, if you put them straight

:

00:43:09,431 --> 00:43:10,898

in a cot, it's quite a good one.

:

00:43:10,898 --> 00:43:12,098

We generally do that.

:

00:43:12,098 --> 00:43:15,889

Okay, so, do you want some stories?

:

00:43:16,641 --> 00:43:18,593

Okay, so we've got Tracy M.

:

00:43:18,803 --> 00:43:20,565

says, Little Girl, Big Diaper.

:

00:43:21,889 --> 00:43:24,517

I was hoping that you'd pay

attention, just so that I could.

:

00:43:24,751 --> 00:43:26,493

Tilly: but I wanna make sure

she doesn't start screaming, so,

:

00:43:26,660 --> 00:43:26,908

Dan 1: stop.

:

00:43:27,365 --> 00:43:27,898

They're really short.

:

00:43:28,012 --> 00:43:29,774

So we'll do one, you interact.

:

00:43:30,146 --> 00:43:30,774

Okay, fine.

:

00:43:31,136 --> 00:43:32,946

Little Girl, Big Diaper by Tracy M.

:

00:43:33,441 --> 00:43:37,679

One morning, I changed my infant twin

daughter's diaper, only to find out

:

00:43:37,917 --> 00:43:42,279

that I put her brother's size 5 diaper

on her in the middle of the night.

:

00:43:42,441 --> 00:43:44,532

Oh no, that has leaked everywhere.

:

00:43:44,532 --> 00:43:46,029

Not really had that.

:

00:43:46,029 --> 00:43:47,527

Not really had that.

:

00:43:48,422 --> 00:43:48,689

Anyway,

:

00:43:49,184 --> 00:43:51,813

if there's one thing you can

always count on, it's poop.

:

00:43:52,098 --> 00:43:53,041

This is by Kitty H.

:

00:43:53,593 --> 00:43:54,679

This is pretty shit.

:

00:43:54,714 --> 00:43:56,935

Tilly: Those aren't very funny

stories, are they, if I'm

:

00:43:57,070 --> 00:43:57,574

Dan 1: No, I'm sorry.

:

00:43:57,676 --> 00:43:59,650

Tilly: she's just stomping it

and turning herself around.

:

00:43:59,650 --> 00:44:00,884

She's having a great time.

:

00:44:00,884 --> 00:44:01,378

Little bird.

:

00:44:01,378 --> 00:44:02,118

Let's go again.

:

00:44:02,118 --> 00:44:02,365

Lenses.

:

00:44:02,384 --> 00:44:02,974

Dan 1: Yes, it is.

:

00:44:04,031 --> 00:44:04,441

Go again.

:

00:44:04,812 --> 00:44:05,317

Lindsay.

:

00:44:05,812 --> 00:44:05,927

When

:

00:44:05,927 --> 00:44:10,403

my kid was about one and a half

years old, I let her run around

:

00:44:10,403 --> 00:44:10,717

sans

:

00:44:10,717 --> 00:44:11,031

diaper

:

00:44:11,031 --> 00:44:13,860

for just a few minutes

while I surfed Facebook.

:

00:44:14,222 --> 00:44:15,641

After no more than three minutes,

:

00:44:16,060 --> 00:44:17,317

she crawled into my lap

:

00:44:17,460 --> 00:44:18,555

with a poop covered butt.

:

00:44:19,289 --> 00:44:23,003

While picking up the log from the floor, I

happened to put my hand on the end table.

:

00:44:23,441 --> 00:44:23,917

It jiggled.

:

00:44:24,436 --> 00:44:25,970

And I heard something rattling around.

:

00:44:26,560 --> 00:44:28,741

Puzzled, because I thought

the drawer was empty.

:

00:44:29,365 --> 00:44:30,251

I opened it.

:

00:44:30,370 --> 00:44:31,336

Tilly: It was

:

00:44:31,422 --> 00:44:33,346

Dan 1: two petrified poop marbles.

:

00:44:33,736 --> 00:44:35,260

I have no idea how they got there.

:

00:44:35,765 --> 00:44:38,022

How long they had been there.

:

00:44:38,022 --> 00:44:40,832

Why she decided to stash poop in

:

00:44:41,231 --> 00:44:41,812

Tilly: I like it.

:

00:44:41,831 --> 00:44:42,289

Tidy.

:

00:44:42,346 --> 00:44:43,298

She's trying to be tidy.

:

00:44:43,701 --> 00:44:44,111

Dan 1: tiny.

:

00:44:44,111 --> 00:44:44,520

You

:

00:44:44,574 --> 00:44:45,212

Tilly: Also, you know.

:

00:44:45,774 --> 00:44:47,917

To the untrained eye, a

drawer is a bit like a potty.

:

00:44:54,589 --> 00:44:54,846

Dan 1: Uh,

:

00:44:55,036 --> 00:44:57,331

here you go, this is, like,

your, your shopping story.

:

00:44:57,446 --> 00:44:57,827

Amy.

:

00:44:58,512 --> 00:45:02,217

I was carrying my young baby around

a supermarket in a ring sling, when

:

00:45:02,255 --> 00:45:03,293

suddenly I heard a characteristic splat

:

00:45:03,412 --> 00:45:04,031

Tilly: as I

:

00:45:04,379 --> 00:45:04,989

Dan 1: sound as I was

:

00:45:05,131 --> 00:45:05,598

browsing the

:

00:45:05,598 --> 00:45:06,531

frozen aisle.

:

00:45:07,008 --> 00:45:07,503

Moments

:

00:45:07,503 --> 00:45:08,370

later, I felt

:

00:45:08,646 --> 00:45:09,970

the distinctly warm and wet.

:

00:45:10,116 --> 00:45:11,939

Tilly: There was a bright yellow poo,

:

00:45:11,998 --> 00:45:13,684

Dan 1: all over her, the sling,

:

00:45:13,817 --> 00:45:14,646

and my clothes.

:

00:45:14,646 --> 00:45:16,780

When I woke up, I was working on the

:

00:45:16,848 --> 00:45:17,343

Tilly: Okay, so.

:

00:45:17,491 --> 00:45:17,966

Dan 1: was a

:

00:45:18,119 --> 00:45:19,234

Tilly: This is from Andrea.

:

00:45:19,388 --> 00:45:20,337

Dan 1: to be a bit

:

00:45:20,491 --> 00:45:23,348

Tilly: When I arrived home from work one

evening, the scene I witnessed was from a

:

00:45:23,348 --> 00:45:23,910

horror film.

:

00:45:23,938 --> 00:45:26,376

My three year old daughter

and my 18 month old son

:

00:45:26,624 --> 00:45:27,281

shared a bedroom.

:

00:45:27,557 --> 00:45:29,595

And while they were napping, my

daughter decided that instead of

:

00:45:29,822 --> 00:45:30,533

Dan 1: I'm going to

:

00:45:30,586 --> 00:45:32,005

Tilly: walking the 10

feet to the bathroom,

:

00:45:32,538 --> 00:45:36,353

she would drop Trow in the middle of the

room, squat, and and poop on the carpet.

:

00:45:36,695 --> 00:45:36,724

Okay.

:

00:45:38,086 --> 00:45:41,553

in an effort to disguise her misdeed,

she took all the expensive wooden

:

00:45:41,553 --> 00:45:45,991

building blocks and wooden educational

toys and piled them on top of the poop.

:

00:45:46,067 --> 00:45:46,315

Nice.

:

00:45:46,543 --> 00:45:46,857

When my,

:

00:45:47,143 --> 00:45:47,381

when

:

00:45:47,381 --> 00:45:48,534

the little brother woke up

:

00:45:48,905 --> 00:45:50,686

from his nap, he crawled

out of his toddler

:

00:45:50,940 --> 00:45:51,457

Dan 1: toilet then.

:

00:45:51,457 --> 00:45:51,716

Oh

:

00:45:51,762 --> 00:45:53,210

Tilly: the pile of toys in the middle of

:

00:45:53,269 --> 00:45:53,787

Dan 1: of the

:

00:45:53,819 --> 00:45:55,210

Tilly: When I arrived home,

:

00:45:55,910 --> 00:45:56,929

Both kids were in the tub,

:

00:45:57,510 --> 00:45:59,976

and my partner was scrubbing

the poo out of my son's hair.

:

00:45:59,999 --> 00:46:00,516

Dan 1: my head.

:

00:46:00,516 --> 00:46:00,775

Hair!

:

00:46:00,775 --> 00:46:01,034

Crikey!

:

00:46:01,034 --> 00:46:01,810

There's a wardrobe,

:

00:46:01,938 --> 00:46:05,110

Tilly: The bedroom walls, door,

carpet, changing table, beds,

:

00:46:05,434 --> 00:46:06,862

toy box, hamper, and toys were

:

00:46:07,100 --> 00:46:08,234

all smeared with poop.

:

00:46:08,748 --> 00:46:11,262

As an added treat, some of

the furniture was wicker,

:

00:46:11,387 --> 00:46:11,646

Dan 1: wall.

:

00:46:11,719 --> 00:46:12,919

Tilly: the poop was stuck in the cracks.

:

00:46:13,215 --> 00:46:16,015

I pitched the toys, scrubbed down

the walls, took a toothbrush to the

:

00:46:16,015 --> 00:46:17,586

wicker, and shampooed the carpets.

:

00:46:17,891 --> 00:46:19,510

Then we poured ourselves

a very stiff drink.

:

00:46:19,991 --> 00:46:20,629

Dan 1: can imagine.

:

00:46:21,143 --> 00:46:21,343

Alright guys.

:

00:46:22,162 --> 00:46:22,848

That's disgusting.

:

00:46:22,934 --> 00:46:23,143

And that's

:

00:46:23,400 --> 00:46:23,876

us signing off.

:

00:46:24,572 --> 00:46:24,876

Cheerio!

:

00:46:24,876 --> 00:46:25,172

Bye!

:

00:46:25,722 --> 00:46:27,615

Tilly: Ha ha ha ha ha.

:

00:46:27,615 --> 00:46:29,416

Dan 1: Hi guys, thank you

very much for listening.

:

00:46:29,416 --> 00:46:30,659
