Many of the men in Rom Coms have similar patterns that I think we can learn from

So here are a few things we can learn from Rom Com Men

They Progress as a Character (the journey)

• They usually show a journey of growth for the men in Rom Coms
• They start to look at themselves differently based on the new woman entering their life and this gives them an outside perspective
• We need to be able to look at ourselves objectively and move on a journey
• If we aren't intentionally growing, we are declining
• Sometimes in the struggle is where the growth happens

They Know Their Feelings (even if they struggle with them)

• Men in Rom/Coms are pretty good at knowing how they feel
• Women want men who  know their emotions
• We must know our emotions as men or we will be in danger of letting them get out of control and hurt us
• The lie that men aren't emotional is a myth
• Men are better men when they are connected to their emotions

Have a Good Friend (someone to talk to)

• Rom/Com men usually have another man who they talk with about stuff
• We have to prioritize friendships and seek to find people to connect with
• Men who encourage each other for better and not bring each other down
• You may need to recognize bad friendships and prune them
• Many men don't have close friends because they are busy and because of fear
